যার বিনিময়ে তারা নিজেদের বিক্রি করেছে, তা খুবই মন্দ; যেহেতু তারা আল্লাহ যা নযিল করেছেন, তা অস্বীকার করেছে এই হঠকারিতার দরুন যে, আল্লাহ স্বীয় বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার প্রতি ইচ্ছা অনুগ্রহ নাযিল করেন। অতএব, তারা ক্রোধের উপর ক্রোধ অর্জন করেছে। আর কাফেরদের জন্য রয়েছে অপমানজনক শাস্তি।
Miserable is the price for which they have sold their souls, in that they deny (the revelation) which Allah has sent down, in insolent envy that Allah of His Grace should send it to any of His servants He pleases: Thus have they drawn on themselves Wrath upon Wrath. And humiliating is the punishment of those who reject Faith. |

আপনি বলে দিন, যে কেউ জিবরাঈলের শত্রু হয়-যেহেতু তিনি আল্লাহর আদেশে এ কালাম আপনার অন্তরে নাযিল করেছেন, যা সত্যায়নকারী তাদের সম্মুখস্থ কালামের এবং মুমিনদের জন্য পথপ্রদর্শক ও সুসংবাদদাতা।
Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel-for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will, a confirmation of what went before, and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe,- |

যেহেতু তারা অবাধ্য হয়েছে আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রসূলের, সেজন্য এই নির্দেশ। বস্তুতঃ যে লোক আল্লাহ ও রসূলের অবাধ্য হয়, নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহর শাস্তি অত্যন্ত কঠোর।
This because they contended against Allah and His Messenger: If any contend against Allah and His Messenger, Allah is strict in punishment. |

ফলে কেয়ামতের দিন ওরা পূর্ণমাত্রায় বহন করবে ওদের পাপভার এবং পাপভার তাদেরও যাদেরকে তারা তাদের অজ্ঞতাহেতু বিপথগামী করে শুনে নাও, খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বোঝা যা তারা বহন করে।
Let them bear, on the Day of Judgment, their own burdens in full, and also (something) of the burdens of those without knowledge, whom they misled. Alas, how grievous the burdens they will bear! |

তোমার হাত বগলে রাখ। তা বের হয়ে আসবে নিরাময় উজ্জ্বল হয়ে এবং ভয় হেতু তোমার হাত তোমার উপর চেপে ধর। এই দু’টি ফেরাউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের প্রতি তোমার পালনকর্তার তরফ থেকে প্রমাণ। নিশ্চয় তারা পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়।
"Move thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm), and draw thy hand close to thy side (to guard) against fear. Those are the two credentials from thy Lord to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: for truly they are a people rebellious and wicked." |

আমরা কি অহেতুক তাদেরকে ঠাট্টার পাত্র করে নিয়েছিলাম, না আমাদের দৃষ্টি ভুল করছে?
"Did we treat them (as such) in ridicule, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?" |
