পার্থিব জীবনের উপর কাফেরদিগকে উম্মত্ত করে দেয়া হয়েছে। আর তারা ঈমানদারদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করে হাসাহাসি করে। পক্ষান্তরে যারা পরহেযগার তারা সেই কাফেরদের তুলনায় কেয়ামতের দিন অত্যন্ত উচ্চমর্যাদায় থাকবে। আর আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা সীমাহীন রুযী দান করেন।
The life of this world is alluring to those who reject faith, and they scoff at those who believe. But the righteous will be above them on the Day of Resurrection; for Allah bestows His abundance without measure on whom He will. |

তা এজন্য যে, তারা বলে থাকে যে, দোযখের আগুন আমাদের স্পর্শ করবে না; তবে সামান্য হাতে গোনা কয়েকদিনের জন্য স্পর্শ করতে পারে। নিজেদের উদ্ভাবিত ভিত্তিহীন কথায় তারা ধোকা খেয়েছে।
This because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days": For their forgeries deceive them as to their own religion. |

তারা আপনার কাছে নারীদের বিবাহের অনুমতি চায়। বলে দিনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে তাদের সম্পর্কে অনুমতি দেন এবং কোরআনে তোমাদেরকে যা যা পাট করে শুনানো হয়, তা ঐ সব পিতৃহীনা-নারীদের বিধান, যাদের কে তোমরা নির্ধারিত অধিকার প্রদান কর না অথচ বিবাহ বন্ধনে আবদ্ধ করার বাসনা রাখ। আর অক্ষম শিশুদের বিধান এই যে, এতীমদের জন্যে ইনসাফের উপর কায়েম থাক। তোমরা যা ভাল কাজ করবে, তা আল্লাহ জানেন।
They ask thy instruction concerning the women say: Allah doth instruct you about them: And (remember) what hath been rehearsed unto you in the Book, concerning the orphans of women to whom ye give not the portions prescribed, and yet whom ye desire to marry, as also concerning the children who are weak and oppressed: that ye stand firm for justice to orphans. There is not a good deed which ye do, but Allah is well-acquainted therewith. |

আর যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে সবই আল্লাহর। বস্তুতঃ আমি নির্দেশ দিয়েছি তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী গ্রন্থের অধিকারীদেরকে এবং তোমাদেরকে যে, তোমরা সবাই ভয় করতে থাক আল্লাহকে। যদি তোমরা তা না মান, তবে জেনো, সে সব কিছুই আল্লাহ তা’আলার যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন অভাবহীন, প্রসংশিত।
To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth. Verily we have directed the People of the Book before you, and you (o Muslims) to fear Allah. But if ye deny Him, lo! unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth, and Allah is free of all wants, worthy of all praise. |

তিনিই আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন অতঃপর আমি এর দ্বারা সর্বপ্রকার উদ্ভিদ উৎপন্ন করেছি, অতঃপর আমি এ থেকে সবুজ ফসল নির্গত করেছি, যা থেকে যুগ্ম বীজ উৎপন্ন করি। খেজুরের কাঁদি থেকে গুচ্ছ বের করি, যা নুয়ে থাকে এবং আঙ্গুরের বাগান, যয়তুন, আনার পরস্পর সাদৃশ্যযুক্ত এবং সাদৃশ্যহীন। বিভিন্ন গাছের ফলের প্রতি লক্ষ্য কর যখন সেুগুলো ফলন্ত হয় এবং তার পরিপক্কতার প্রতি লক্ষ্য কর। নিশ্চয় এ গুলোতে নিদর্শন রয়েছে ঈমানদারদের জন্যে।
It is He Who sendeth down rain from the skies: with it We produce vegetation of all kinds: from some We produce green (crops), out of which We produce grain, heaped up (at harvest); out of the date-palm and its sheaths (or spathes) (come) clusters of dates hanging low and near: and (then there are) gardens of grapes, and olives, and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety): when they begin to bear fruit, feast your eyes with the fruit and the ripeness thereof. Behold! in these things there are signs for people who believe. |

তিনিই উদ্যান সমূহ সৃষ্টি করেছে-তাও, যা মাচার উপর তুলে দেয়া হয়, এবং যা মাচার উপর তোলা হয় না এবং খর্জুর বৃক্ষ ও শস্যক্ষেত্র যেসবের স্বাদবিশিষ্ট এবং যয়তুন ও আনার সৃষ্টি করেছেন-একে অন্যের সাদৃশ্যশীল এবং সাদৃশ্যহীন। এগুলোর ফল খাও, যখন ফলন্ত হয় এবং হক দান কর কর্তনের সময়ে এবং অপব্যয় করো না। নিশ্চয় তিনি অপব্যয়ীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন না।
It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters. |

বললেন তুই এখান থেকে যা। এখানে অহংকার করার কোন অধিকার তোর নাই। অতএব তুই বের হয়ে যা। তুই হীনতমদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
(Allah) said: "Get thee down from this: it is not for thee to be arrogant here: get out, for thou art of the meanest (of creatures)." |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৩) |
| 8 |
হে নবী, আপনি মুসলমানগণকে উৎসাহিত করুন জেহাদের জন্য। তোমাদের মধ্যে যদি বিশ জন দৃঢ়পদ ব্যক্তি থাকে, তবে জয়ী হবে দু’শর মোকাবেলায়। আর যদি তোমাদের মধ্যে থাকে একশ লোক, তবে জয়ী হবে হাজার কাফেরের উপর থেকে তার কারণ ওরা জ্ঞানহীন।
O Prophet! rouse the Believers to the fight. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers: for these are a people without understanding. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৬৫) |

হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমি নিজের এক সন্তানকে তোমার পবিত্র গৃহের সন্নিকটে চাষাবাদহীন উপত্যকায় আবাদ করেছি; হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যাতে তারা নামায কায়েম রাখে। অতঃপর আপনি কিছু লোকের অন্তরকে তাদের প্রতি আকৃষ্ট করুন এবং তাদেরকে ফলাদি দ্বারা রুযী দান করুন, সম্ভবতঃ তারা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ করবে
"O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits: so that they may give thanks. |
(ইব্রাহীম:

নিশ্চয় গহীন বনের অধিবাসীরা পাপী ছিল।
And the Companions of the Wood were also wrong-doers; |

আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 11 |
আমি নভোমন্ডল, ভুমন্ডল এবং এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী যা আছে তা তাৎপর্যহীন সৃষ্টি করিনি। কেয়ামত অবশ্যই আসবে। অতএব পরম ঔদাসীন্যের সাথে ওদের ক্রিয়াকর্ম উপক্ষো করুন।
We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. |
(হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৮৫) |
| 12 |
তারা মৃত-প্রাণহীন এবং কবে পুনরুত্থিত হবে, জানে না।
(They are things) dead, lifeless: nor do they know when they will be raised up. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ২১) |
| 13 |
এরাই তারা, আল্লাহ তা’য়ালা এদেরই অন্তর, কর্ণ ও চক্ষুর উপর মোহর মেরে দিয়েছেন এবং এরাই কান্ড জ্ঞানহীন।
Those are they whose hearts, ears, and eyes Allah has sealed up, and they take no heed. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ১০৮) |

প্রাচীরের ব্যাপার-সেটি ছিল নগরের দুজন পিতৃহীন বালকের। এর নীচে ছিল তাদের গুপ্তধন এবং তাদের পিতা ছিল সৎকর্ম পরায়ন। সুতরাং আপনার পালনকর্তা দায়বশতঃ ইচ্ছা করলেন যে, তারা যৌবনে পদার্পন করুক এবং নিজেদের গুপ্তধন উদ্ধার করুক। আমি নিজ মতে এটা করিনি। আপনি যে বিষয়ে ধৈর্য্যধারণ করতে অক্ষম হয়েছিলেন, এই হল তার ব্যাখ্যা।
"As for the wall, it belonged to two youths, orphans, in the Town; there was, beneath it, a buried treasure, to which they were entitled: their father had been a righteous man: So thy Lord desired that they should attain their age of full strength and get out their treasure - a mercy (and favour) from thy Lord. I did it not of my own accord. Such is the interpretation of (those things) over which thou wast unable to hold patience." |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৮২) |
| 15 |
হে লোক সকল! একটি উপমা বর্ণনা করা হলো, অতএব তোমরা তা মনোযোগ দিয়ে শোন; তোমরা আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে যাদের পূজা কর, তারা কখনও একটি মাছি সৃষ্টি করতে পারবে না, যদিও তারা সকলে একত্রিত হয়। আর মাছি যদি তাদের কাছ থেকে কোন কিছু ছিনিয়ে নেয়, তবে তারা তার কাছ থেকে তা উদ্ধার করতে পারবে না, প্রার্থনাকারী ও যার কাছে প্রার্থনা করা হয়, উভয়েই শক্তিহীন।
O men! Here is a parable set forth! listen to it! Those on whom, besides Allah, ye call, cannot create (even) a fly, if they all met together for the purpose! and if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. Feeble are those who petition and those whom they petition! |

অহংকার করে এ বিষয়ে অর্থহীন গল্প-গুজব করে যেতে।
"In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৬৭) |
| 17 |
দুশ্চরিত্রা নারীকূল দুশ্চরিত্র পুরুষকুলের জন্যে এবং দুশ্চরিত্র পুরুষকুল দুশ্চরিত্রা নারীকুলের জন্যে। সচ্চরিত্রা নারীকুল সচ্চরিত্র পুরুষকুলের জন্যে এবং সচ্চরিত্র পুরুষকুল সচ্চরিত্রা নারীকুলের জন্যে। তাদের সম্পর্কে লোকে যা বলে, তার সাথে তারা সম্পর্কহীন। তাদের জন্যে আছে ক্ষমা ও সম্মানজনক জীবিকা।
Women impure are for men impure, and men impure for women impure and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable. |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 18 |
তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা বিবাহহীন, তাদের বিবাহ সম্পাদন করে দাও এবং তোমাদের দাস ও দাসীদের মধ্যে যারা সৎকর্মপরায়ন, তাদেরও। তারা যদি নিঃস্ব হয়, তবে আল্লাহ নিজ অনুগ্রহে তাদেরকে সচ্ছল করে দেবেন। আল্লাহ প্রাচুর্যময়, সর্বজ্ঞ।
Marry those among you who are single, or the virtuous ones among yourselves, male or female: if they are in poverty, Allah will give them means out of His grace: for Allah encompasseth all, and he knoweth all things. |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ৩২) |

এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ জ্ঞানহীনদের হৃদয় মোহরাঙ্কিত করে দেন।
Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not. |
(আর-রূম:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯) |
| 20 |
দৃষ্টিমান ও দৃষ্টিহীন সমান নয়।
The blind and the seeing are not alike; |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 21 |
ওদেরকে বিতাড়নের উদ্দেশে। ওদের জন্যে রয়েছে বিরামহীন শাস্তি।
Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 22 |
আমি অবশ্যই কাফেরদেরকে কঠিন আযাব আস্বাদন করাব এবং আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে তাদের মন্দ ও হীন কাজের প্রতিফল দেব।
But We will certainly give the Unbelievers a taste of a severe Penalty, and We will requite them for the worst of their deeds. |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৭) |
| 23 |
অবশেষে যখন সে আমার কাছে আসবে, তখন সে শয়তানকে বলবে, হায়, আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব-পশ্চিমের দূরত্ব থাকত। কত হীন সঙ্গী সে।
At length, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says (to his evil companion): "Would that between me and thee were the distance of East and West!" Ah! evil is the companion (indeed)! |
(যুখরুফ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |
| 24 |
যারা মুমিন, তারা বলেঃ একটি সূরা নাযিল হয় না কেন? অতঃপর যখন কোন দ্ব্যর্থহীন সূরা নাযিল হয় এবং তাতে জেহাদের উল্লেখ করা হয়, তখন যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, আপনি তাদেরকে মৃত্যুভয়ে মূর্ছাপ্রাপ্ত মানুষের মত আপনার দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতে দেখবেন। সুতরাং ধ্বংস তাদের জন্যে।
Those who believe say, "Why is not a sura sent down (for us)?" But when a sura of basic or categorical meaning is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein, thou wilt see those in whose hearts is a disease looking at thee with a look of one in swoon at the approach of death. But more fitting for them- |

আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 25 |
এদের প্রতিই আল্লাহ অভিসম্পাত করেন, অতঃপর তাদেরকে বধির ও দৃষ্টিশক্তিহীন করেন।
Such are the men whom Allah has cursed for He has made them deaf and blinded their sight. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ২৩) |
| 26 |
অতএব, তোমরা হীনবল হয়ো না এবং সন্ধির আহবান জানিও না, তোমরাই হবে প্রবল। আল্লাহই তোমাদের সাথে আছেন। তিনি কখনও তোমাদের কর্ম হ্রাস করবেন না।
Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |

তারা থাকবে কাঁটাবিহীন বদরিকা বৃক্ষে।
(They will be) among Lote-trees without thorns, |
(আল ওয়াক্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 28 |
তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা তাদের স্ত্রীগণকে মাতা বলে ফেলে, তাদের স্ত্রীগণ তাদের মাতা নয়। তাদের মাতা কেবল তারাই, যারা তাদেরকে জন্মদান করেছে। তারা তো অসমীচীন ও ভিত্তিহীন কথাই বলে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ মার্জনাকারী, ক্ষমাশীল।
If any men among you divorce their wives by Zihar (calling them mothers), they cannot be their mothers: None can be their mothers except those who gave them birth. And in fact they use words (both) iniquitous and false: but truly Allah is one that blots out (sins), and forgives (again and again). |
(আল মুজাদালাহ:

তাদের দৃষ্টি থাকবে অবনমিত; তারা হবে হীনতাগ্রস্ত। এটাই সেইদিন, যার ওয়াদা তাদেরকে দেয়া হত।
Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! |

চন্দ্র জ্যোতিহীন হয়ে যাবে।
And the moon is buried in darkness. |
(আল ক্বেয়ামাহ:

যখন সূর্য আলোহীন হয়ে যাবে,
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; |
