আর যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয় যে, দুনিয়ার বুকে দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টি করো না, তখন তারা বলে, আমরা তো মীমাংসার পথ অবলম্বন করেছি।
When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" |

মনে রেখো, তারাই হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টিকারী, কিন্তু তারা তা উপলব্ধি করে না।
Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not. |

আর তোমার পালনকর্তা যখন ফেরেশতাদিগকে বললেনঃ আমি পৃথিবীতে একজন প্রতিনিধি বানাতে যাচ্ছি, তখন ফেরেশতাগণ বলল, তুমি কি পৃথিবীতে এমন কাউকে সৃষ্টি করবে যে দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামার সৃষ্টি করবে এবং রক্তপাত ঘটাবে? অথচ আমরা নিয়ত তোমার গুণকীর্তন করছি এবং তোমার পবিত্র সত্তাকে স্মরণ করছি। তিনি বললেন, নিঃসন্দেহে আমি জানি, যা তোমরা জান না।
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not." |

আর তাদেরকে হত্যাকর যেখানে পাও সেখানেই এবং তাদেরকে বের করে দাও সেখান থেকে যেখান থেকে তারা বের করেছে তোমাদেরকে। বস্তুতঃ ফেতনা ফ্যাসাদ বা দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টি করা হত্যার চেয়েও কঠিন অপরাধ। আর তাদের সাথে লড়াই করো না মসজিদুল হারামের নিকটে যতক্ষণ না তারা তোমাদের সাথে সেখানে লড়াই করে। অবশ্য যদি তারা নিজেরাই তোমাদের সাথে লড়াই করে। তাহলে তাদেরকে হত্যা কর। এই হল কাফেরদের শাস্তি।
And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. |

যখন ফিরে যায় তখন চেষ্টা করে যাতে সেখানে অকল্যাণ সৃষ্টি করতে পারে এবং শস্যক্ষেত্র ও প্রাণনাশ করতে পারে। আল্লাহ ফাসাদ ও দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামা পছন্দ করেন না।
When he turns his back, His aim everywhere is to spread mischief through the earth and destroy crops and cattle. But Allah loveth not mischief. |

যারা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের সাথে সংগ্রাম করে এবং দেশে হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টি করতে সচেষ্ট হয়, তাদের শাস্তি হচ্ছে এই যে, তাদেরকে হত্যা করা হবে অথবা শূলীতে চড়ানো হবে অথবা তাদের হস্তপদসমূহ বিপরীত দিক থেকে কেটে দেয়া হবে অথবা দেশ থেকে বহিষ্কার করা হবে। এটি হল তাদের জন্য পার্থিব লাঞ্ছনা আর পরকালে তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি।
The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; |

আর আমি মূসাকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি ত্রিশ রাত্রির এবং সেগুলোকে পূর্ন করেছি আরো দশ দ্বারা। বস্তুতঃ এভাবে চল্লিশ রাতের মেয়াদ পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছে। আর মূসা তাঁর ভাই হারুনকে বললেন, আমার সম্প্রদায়ে তুমি আমার প্রতিনিধি হিসাবে থাক। তাদের সংশোধন করতে থাক এবং হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টিকারীদের পথে চলো না।
We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." |

আর যারা কাফের তারা পারস্পরিক সহযোগী, বন্ধু। তোমরা যদি এমন ব্যবস্থা না কর, তবে দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামা বিস্তার লাভ করবে এবং দেশময় বড়ই অকল্যাণ হবে।
The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief. |
