এবং যখন আমি হযরত আদম (আঃ)-কে সেজদা করার জন্য ফেরেশতাগণকে নির্দেশ দিলাম, তখনই ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সিজদা করলো। সে (নির্দেশ) পালন করতে অস্বীকার করল এবং অহংকার প্রদর্শন করল। ফলে সে কাফেরদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত হয়ে গেল।
And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith. |

অতঃপর হযরত আদম (আঃ) স্বীয় পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে কয়েকটি কথা শিখে নিলেন, অতঃপর আল্লাহ পাক তাঁর প্রতি (করুণাভরে) লক্ষ্য করলেন। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি মহা-ক্ষমাশীল ও অসীম দয়ালু।
Then learnt Adam from his Lord words of inspiration, and his Lord Turned towards him; for He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই যে, যারা ঈমান এনেছে, দেশ ত্যাগ করেছে, স্বীয় জান ও মাল দ্বারা আল্লাহর রাহে জেহাদ করেছে এবং যারা তাদেরকে আশ্রয় ও সাহায্য সহায়তা দিয়েছে, তারা একে অপরের সহায়ক। আর যারা ঈমান এনেছে কিন্তু দেশ ত্যাগ করেনি তাদের বন্ধুত্বে তোমাদের প্রয়োজন নেই যতক্ষণ না তারা দেশত্যাগ করে। অবশ্য যদি তারা ধর্মীয় ব্যাপারে তোমাদের সহায়তা কামনা করে, তবে তাদের সাহায্য করা তোমাদের কর্তব্য। কিন্তু তোমাদের সাথে যাদের সহযোগী চুক্তি বিদ্যমান রয়েছে, তাদের মোকাবেলায় নয়। বস্তুতঃ তোমরা যা কিছু কর, আল্লাহ সেসবই দেখেন।
Those who believed, and adopted exile, and fought for the Faith, with their property and their persons, in the cause of Allah, as well as those who gave (them) asylum and aid,- these are (all) friends and protectors, one of another. As to those who believed but came not into exile, ye owe no duty of protection to them until they come into exile; but if they seek your aid in religion, it is your duty to help them, except against a people with whom ye have a treaty of mutual alliance. And (remember) Allah seeth all that ye do. |

আর যারা কাফের তারা পারস্পরিক সহযোগী, বন্ধু। তোমরা যদি এমন ব্যবস্থা না কর, তবে দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামা বিস্তার লাভ করবে এবং দেশময় বড়ই অকল্যাণ হবে।
The Unbelievers are protectors, one of another: Unless ye do this, (protect each other), there would be tumult and oppression on earth, and great mischief. |
(আল-আনফাল:

যদি আশু লাভের সম্ভাবনা থাকতো এবং যাত্রাপথও সংক্ষিপ্ত হতো, তবে তারা অবশ্যই আপনার সহযাত্রী হতো, কিন্তু তাদের নিকট যাত্রাপথ সুদীর্ঘ মনে হল। আর তারা এমনই শপথ করে বলবে, আমাদের সাধ্য থাকলে অবশ্যই তোমাদের সাথে বের হতাম, এরা নিজেরাই নিজেদের বিনষ্ট করছে, আর আল্লাহ জানেন যে, এরা মিথ্যাবাদী।
If there had been immediate gain (in sight), and the journey easy, they would (all) without doubt have followed thee, but the distance was long, (and weighed) on them. They would indeed swear by Allah, "If we only could, we should certainly have come out with you": They would destroy their own souls; for Allah doth know that they are certainly lying. |

বলুনঃ সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহর যিনি না কোন সন্তান রাখেন, না তাঁর সার্বভৌমত্বে কোন শরীক আছে এবং যিনি দুর্দশাগ্রস্ত হন না, যে কারণে তাঁর কোন সাহয্যকারীর প্রয়োজন হতে পারে। সুতরাং আপনি স-সম্ভ্রমে তাঁর মাহাত্ন?2476;র্ণনা করতে থাকুন।
Say: "Praise be to Allah, who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: Nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: yea, magnify Him for His greatness and glory!" |

তাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করার জন্য যখন তাদেরকে আল্লাহ ও রসূলের দিকে আহবান করা হয তখন তাদের একদল মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
When they are summoned to Allah and His messenger, in order that He may judge between them, behold some of them decline (to come). |
