এবং অনুসারীরা বলবে, কতইনা ভাল হত, যদি আমাদিগকে পৃথিবীতে ফিরে যাবার সুযোগ দেয়া হত। তাহলে আমরাও তাদের প্রতি তেমনি অসন্তুষ্ট হয়ে যেতাম, যেমন তারা অসন্তুষ্ট হয়েছে আমাদের প্রতি। এভাবেই আল্লাহ তা’আলা তাদেরকে দেখাবেন তাদের কৃতকর্ম তাদেরকে অনুতপ্ত করার জন্যে। অথচ, তারা কস্মিনকালেও আগুন থেকে বের হতে পারবে না।
And those who followed would say: "If only We had one more chance, We would clear ourselves of them, as they have cleared themselves of us." Thus will Allah show them (The fruits of) their deeds as (nothing but) regrets. Nor will there be a way for them out of the Fire. |

যদি আমি কোন ফেরেশতাকে রসূল করে পাঠাতাম, তবে সে মানুষের আকারেই হত। এতেও ঐ সন্দেহই করত, যা এখন করছে।
If We had made it an angel, We should have sent him as a man, and We should certainly have caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion. |

আর যদি আল্লাহ তা’আলা মানুষকে যথাশীঘ্র অকল্যাণ পৌঁছে দেন যতশীঘ্র তার কামনা করে, তাহলে তাদের আশাই শেষ করে দিতে হত। সুতরাং যাদের মনে আমার সাক্ষাতের আশা নেই, আমি তাদেরকে তাদের দুষ্টুমিতে ব্যতিব্যস্ত ছেড়ে দিয়ে রাখি।
If Allah were to hasten for men the ill (they have earned) as they would fain hasten on the good,- then would their respite be settled at once. But We leave those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, in their trespasses, wandering in distraction to and fro. |

কোন সময় কাফেররা আকাঙ্ক্ষা করবে যে, কি চমৎকার হত, যদি তারা মুসলমান হত।
Again and again will those who disbelieve, wish that they had bowed (to Allah's will) in Islam. |

আমি যদি ক্রীড়া উপকরণ সৃষ্টি করতে চাইতাম, তবে আমি আমার কাছে যা আছে তা দ্বারাই তা করতাম, যদি আমাকে করতে হত।
If it had been Our wish to take (just) a pastime, We should surely have taken it from the things nearest to Us, if We would do (such a thing)! |
(আম্বিয়া:

তুমি পর্বতমালাকে দেখে অচল মনে কর, অথচ সেদিন এগুলো মেঘমালার মত চলমান হবে। এটা আল্লাহর কারিগরী, যিনি সবকিছুকে করেছেন সুসংহত। তোমরা যা কিছু করছ, তিনি তা অবগত আছেন।
Thou seest the mountains and thinkest them firmly fixed: but they shall pass away as the clouds pass away: (such is) the artistry of Allah, who disposes of all things in perfect order: for he is well acquainted with all that ye do. |
(নমল:
আয়াতঃ ৮৮) |

বলা হবে, তোমরা তোমাদের শরীকদের আহবান কর। তখন তারা ডাকবে,। অতঃপর তারা তাদের ডাকে সাড়া দিবে না এবং তারা আযাব দেখবে। হায়! তারা যদি সৎপথ প্রাপ্ত হত।
It will be said (to them): "Call upon your 'partners' (for help)": they will call upon them, but they will not listen to them; and they will see the Penalty (before them); (how they will wish) 'if only they had been open to guidance!' |
(আল কাসাস:

যেদিন কেয়ামত সংঘটিত হবে, সেদিন অপরাধীরা কসম খেয়ে বলবে যে, এক মুহুর্তেরও বেশী অবস্থান করিনি। এমনিভাবে তারা সত্যবিমুখ হত।
On the Day that the Hour (of Reckoning) will be established, the transgressors will swear that they tarried not but an hour: thus were they used to being deluded! |
(আর-রূম:
আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |

তারা মনে করে শক্রবাহিনী চলে যায়নি। যদি শক্রবাহিনী আবার এসে পড়ে, তবে তারা কামনা করবে যে, যদি তারা গ্রামবাসীদের মধ্য থেকে তোমাদের সংবাদাদি জেনে নিত, তবেই ভাল হত। তারা তোমাদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করলেও যুদ্ধ সামান্যই করত।
They think that the Confederates have not withdrawn; and if the Confederates should come (again), they would wish they were in the deserts (wandering) among the Bedouins, and seeking news about you (from a safe distance); and if they were in your midst, they would fight but little. |

তবে তাঁকে কেয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্ত মাছের পেটেই থাকতে হত।
He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ১৪৪) |

আর পক্ষীকুলকেও, যারা তার কাছে সমবেত হত। সবাই ছিল তাঁর প্রতি প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
And the birds gathered (in assemblies): all with him did turn (to Allah). |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ১৯) |

আমি এমন লোকদের সুকর্মগুলো কবুল করি এবং মন্দকর্মগুলো মার্জনা করি। তারা জান্নাতীদের তালিকাভুক্ত সেই সত্য ওয়াদার কারণে যা তাদেরকে দেওয়া হত।
Such are they from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and pass by their ill deeds: (They shall be) among the Companions of the Garden: a promise! of truth, which was made to them (in this life). |
(আল আহক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |
| 13 |
যদি তারা আপনার বের হয়ে তাদের কাছে আসা পর্যন্ত সবর করত, তবে তা-ই তাদের জন্যে মঙ্গলজনক হত। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
If only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them, it would be best for them: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আল হুজরাত:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 14 |
আমরা মরে গেলে এবং মৃত্তিকায় পরিণত হয়ে গেলেও কি পুনরুত্থিত হব? এ প্রত্যাবর্তন সুদূরপরাহত।
"What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." |
(ক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৩) |

যে না দেখে দয়াময় আল্লাহ তা’আলাকে ভয় করত এবং বিনীত অন্তরে উপস্থিত হত।
"Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious Unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him): |

আয়াতঃ ৩৩) |

তাদের দৃষ্টি অবনত থাকবে; তারা লাঞ্ছনাগ্রস্ত হবে, অথচ যখন তারা সুস্থ ও স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায় ছিল, তখন তাদেরকে সেজদা করতে আহবান জানানো হত।
Their eyes will be cast down,- ignominy will cover them; seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration, while they were whole, (and had refused). |

| 17 |
যদি তার পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ তাকে সামাল না দিত, তবে সে নিন্দিত অবস্থায় জনশুন্য প্রান্তরে নিক্ষিপ্ত হত।
Had not Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been cast off on the naked shore, in disgrace. |
(আল কলম:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |
| 18 |
হায়, আমার মৃত্যুই যদি শেষ হত।
"Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me! |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৭) |
| 19 |
তাদের দৃষ্টি থাকবে অবনমিত; তারা হবে হীনতাগ্রস্ত। এটাই সেইদিন, যার ওয়াদা তাদেরকে দেয়া হত।
Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised! |
(আল মা'আরিজ:

অথবা উপদেশ গ্রহণ করতো এবং উপদেশ তার উপকার হত।
Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? |
