তার সম্প্রদায়ের দাম্ভিক সর্দাররা বললঃ হে শোয়ায়েব, আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাকে এবং তোমার সাথে বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারীদেরকে শহর থেকে বের করে দেব অথবা তোমরা আমাদের ধর্মে প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে। শোয়ায়েব বললঃ আমরা অপছন্দ করলেও কি ?
The leaders, the arrogant party among his people, said: "O Shu'aib! we shall certainly drive thee out of our city - (thee) and those who believe with thee; or else ye (thou and they) shall have to return to our ways and religion." He said: "What! even though we do detest (them)? |

আমরা আশা করি, আমাদের পালনকর্তা আমাদের ক্রটি-বিচ্যুতি মার্জনা করবেন। কারণ, আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারীদের মধ্যে অগ্রণী।
"Only, our desire is that our Lord will forgive us our faults, that we may become foremost among the believers!" |

তোমরা অগ্রে ধাবিত হও তোমাদের পালনকর্তার ক্ষমা ও সেই জান্নাতের দিকে, যা আকাশ ও পৃথিবীর মত প্রশস্ত। এটা প্রস্তুত করা হয়েছে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলগণের প্রতি বিশ্বাসস্থাপনকারীদের জন্যে। এটা আল্লাহর কৃপা, তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা, এটা দান করেন। আল্লাহ মহান কৃপার অধিকারী।
Be ye foremost (in seeking) Forgiveness from your Lord, and a Garden (of Bliss), the width whereof is as the width of heaven and earth, prepared for those who believe in Allah and His messengers: that is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom he pleases: and Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding. |
