আর সে দিনের ভয় কর, যখন কেউ কারও সামান্য উপকারে আসবে না এবং তার পক্ষে কোন সুপারিশও কবুল হবে না; কারও কাছ থেকে ক্ষতিপূরণও নেয়া হবে না এবং তারা কোন রকম সাহায্যও পাবে না।
Then guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another nor shall intercession be accepted for her, nor shall compensation be taken from her, nor shall anyone be helped (from outside). |

এরাই পরকালের বিনিময়ে পার্থিব জীবন ক্রয় করেছে। অতএব এদের শাস্তি লঘু হবে না এবং এরা সাহায্যও পাবে না।
These are the people who buy the life of this world at the price of the Hereafter: their penalty shall not be lightened nor shall they be helped. |

তবে যে মুশরিকদের সাথে তোমরা চুক্তি বদ্ধ, অতপরঃ যারা তোমাদের ব্যাপারে কোন ত্রুটি করেনি এবং তোমাদের বিরুদ্ধে কাউকে সাহায্যও করেনি, তাদের সাথে কৃত চুক্তিকে তাদের দেয়া মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত পূরণ কর। অবশ্যই আল্লাহ সাবধানীদের পছন্দ করেন।
(But the treaties are) not dissolved with those Pagans with whom ye have entered into alliance and who have not subsequently failed you in aught, nor aided any one against you. So fulfil your engagements with them to the end of their term: for Allah loveth the righteous. |

আল্লাহ মুশরিকদেরকে বলবেন, তোমাদের কথা তো তারা মিথ্যা সাব্যস্ত করল, এখন তোমরা শাস্তি প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না এবং সাহায্যও করতে পারবে না। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে গোনাহগার আমি তাকে গুরুতর শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাব।
(Allah will say): "Now have they proved you liars in what ye say: so ye cannot avert (your penalty) nor (get) help." And whoever among you does wrong, him shall We cause to taste of a grievous Penalty. |
