অতএব আপনার পালনকর্তার কসম, আমি অবশ্যই ওদের সবাইকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করব।
Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, |

আর, এতিমের মালের কাছেও যেয়ো না, একমাত্র তার কল্যাণ আকাংখা ছাড়া; সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তির যৌবনে পদার্পন করা পর্যন্ত এবং অঙ্গীকার পূর্ন কর। নিশ্চয় অঙ্গীকার সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করা হবে।
Come not nigh to the orphan's property except to improve it, until he attains the age of full strength; and fulfil (every) engagement, for (every) engagement will be enquired into (on the Day of Reckoning). |

আমি এমনি ভাবে তাদেরকে জাগ্রত করলাম, যাতে তারা পরস্পর জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করে। তাদের একজন বললঃ তোমরা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছ? তাদের কেউ বললঃ একদিন অথবা একদিনের কিছু অংশ অবস্থান করছি। কেউ কেউ বললঃ তোমাদের পালনকর্তাই ভাল জানেন তোমরা কতকাল অবস্থান করেছ। এখন তোমাদের একজনকে তোমাদের এই মুদ্রাসহ শহরে প্রেরণ কর; সে যেন দেখে কোন খাদ্য পবিত্র। অতঃপর তা থেকে যেন কিছু খাদ্য নিয়ে আসে তোমাদের জন্য; সে যেন নম্রতা সহকারে যায় ও কিছুতেই যেন তোমাদের খবর কাউকে না জানায়।
Such (being their state), we raised them up (from sleep), that they might question each other. Said one of them, "How long have ye stayed (here)?" They said, "We have stayed (perhaps) a day, or part of a day." (At length) they (all) said, "Allah (alone) knows best how long ye have stayed here.... Now send ye then one of you with this money of yours to the town: let him find out which is the best food (to be had) and bring some to you, that (ye may) satisfy your hunger therewith: And let him behave with care and courtesy, and let him not inform any one about you. |

অজ্ঞাত বিষয়ে অনুমানের উপর ভিত্তি করে এখন তারা বলবেঃ তারা ছিল তিন জন; তাদের চতুর্থটি তাদের কুকুর। একথাও বলবে; তারা পাঁচ জন। তাদের ছষ্ঠটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। আরও বলবেঃ তারা ছিল সাত জন। তাদের অষ্টমটি ছিল তাদের কুকুর। বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তা তাদের সংখ্যা ভাল জানেন। তাদের খবর অল্প লোকই জানে। সাধারণ আলোচনা ছাড়া আপনি তাদের সম্পর্কে বিতর্ক করবেন না এবং তাদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে তাদের কাউকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ ও করবেন না।
(Some) say they were three, the dog being the fourth among them; (others) say they were five, the dog being the sixth,- doubtfully guessing at the unknown; (yet others) say they were seven, the dog being the eighth. Say thou: "My Lord knoweth best their number; It is but few that know their (real case)." Enter not, therefore, into controversies concerning them, except on a matter that is clear, nor consult any of them about (the affair of) the Sleepers. |

অতঃপর যখন শিংগায় ফুৎকার দেয়া হবে, সেদিন তাদের পারস্পরিক আত্নীয়তার বন্ধন থাকবে না এবং একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে না।
Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! |

কিছুক্ষণ পড়েই হুদ এসে বলল, আপনি যা অবগত নন, আমি তা অবগত হয়েছি। আমি আপনার কাছে সাবা থেকে নিশ্চিত সংবাদ নিয়ে আগমন করেছি।
But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true. |

আমি এক নারীকে সাবাবাসীদের উপর রাজত্ব করতে দেখেছি। তাকে সবকিছুই দেয়া হয়েছে এবং তার একটা বিরাট সিংহাসন আছে।
"I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. |

অতঃপর তাদের কথাবার্তা বন্ধ হয়ে যাবে এবং তারা একে অপরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করতে পারবে না।
Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other. |

সাবার অধিবাসীদের জন্যে তাদের বাসভূমিতে ছিল এক নিদর্শন-দুটি উদ্যান, একটি ডানদিকে, একটি বামদিকে। তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার রিযিক খাও এবং তাঁর প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর। স্বাস্থ্যকর শহর এবং ক্ষমাশীল পালনকর্তা।
There was, for Saba, aforetime, a Sign in their home-land - two Gardens to the right and to the left. "Eat of the Sustenance (provided) by your Lord, and be grateful to Him: a territory fair and happy, and a Lord Oft-Forgiving! |

তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে পরস্পরকে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
And they will turn to one another, and question one another. |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ২৭) |

অতঃপর তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
Then they will turn to one another and question one another. |

তারা একে অপরের দিকে মুখ করে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry. |

তারা থাকবে জান্নাতে এবং পরস্পরে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করবে।
(They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, |

তারা পরস্পরে কি বিষয়ে জিজ্ঞাসাবাদ করছে?
