আর যখন মূসা তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা তোমাদেরই ক্ষতিসাধন করেছ এই গোবৎস নির্মাণ করে। কাজেই এখন তওবা কর স্বীয় স্রষ্টার প্রতি এবং নিজ নিজ প্রাণ বিসর্জন দাও। এটাই তোমাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর তোমাদের স্রষ্টার নিকট। তারপর তোমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করা হল। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনিই ক্ষমাকারী, অত্যন্ত মেহেরবান।
And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf: So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your Maker." Then He turned towards you (in forgiveness): For He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

আর আমি তোমাদের উপর ছায়া দান করেছি মেঘমালার দ্বারা এবং তোমাদের জন্য খাবার পাঠিয়েছি ’মান্না’ ও সালওয়া’। সেসব পবিত্র বস্তু তোমরা ভক্ষন কর, যা আমি তোমাদেরকে দান করেছি। বস্তুতঃ তারা আমার কোন ক্ষতি করতে পারেনি, বরং নিজেদেরই ক্ষতি সাধন করেছে।
And We gave you the shade of clouds and sent down to you Manna and quails, saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for you:" (But they rebelled); to us they did no harm, but they harmed their own souls. |

যদি কেউ ওসীয়ত শোনার পর তাতে কোন রকম পরিবর্তন সাধন করে, তবে যারা পরিবর্তন করে তাদের উপর এর পাপ পতিত হবে।
If anyone changes the bequest after hearing it, the guilt shall be on those who make the change. For Allah hears and knows (All things). |
(আল বাকারা:

হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা মুমিন ব্যতীত অন্য কাউকে অন্তরঙ্গরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, তারা তোমাদের অমঙ্গল সাধনে কোন ক্রটি করে না-তোমরা কষ্টে থাক, তাতেই তাদের আনন্দ। শত্রুতাপ্রসুত বিদ্বেষ তাদের মুখেই ফুটে বেরোয়। আর যা কিছু তাদের মনে লুকিয়ে রয়েছে, তা আরো অনেকগুণ বেশী জঘন্য। তোমাদের জন্যে নিদর্শন বিশদভাবে বর্ণনা করে দেয়া হলো, যদি তোমরা তা অনুধাবন করতে সমর্থ হও।
O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks: They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if ye have wisdom. |

আর যারা কুফরের দিকে ধাবিত হচ্ছে তারা যেন তোমাদিগকে চিন্তাম্বিত করে না তোলে। তারা আল্লাহ তা’আলার কোন কিছুই অনিষ্ট সাধন করতে পারবে না। আখেরাতে তাদেরকে কোন কল্যাণ দান না করাই আল্লাহর ইচ্ছা। বস্তুতঃ তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে মহা শাস্তি।
Let not those grieve thee who rush headlong into Unbelief: Not the least harm will they do to Allah: Allah's plan is that He will give them no portion in the Hereafter, but a severe punishment. |

যারা ঈমানের পরিবর্তে কুফর ক্রয় করে নিয়েছে, তারা আল্লাহ তা’আলার কিছুই ক্ষতিসাধন করতে পারবে না। আর তাদের জন্য রয়েছে বেদনাদায়ক শাস্তি।
Those who purchase Unbelief at the price of faith,- not the least harm will they do to Allah, but they will have a grievous punishment. |
(আল ইমরান:

বস্তুতঃ আমি একমাত্র এই উদ্দেশ্যেই রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, যাতে আল্লাহর নির্দেশানুযায়ী তাঁদের আদেশ-নিষেধ মান্য করা হয়। আর সেসব লোক যখন নিজেদের অনিষ্ট সাধন করেছিল, তখন যদি আপনার কাছে আসত অতঃপর আল্লাহর নিকট ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করত এবং রসূলও যদি তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করিয়ে দিতেন। অবশ্যই তারা আল্লাহকে ক্ষমাকারী, মেহেরবানরূপে পেত।
We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful. |

আমি মাদইয়ানের প্রতি তাদের ভাই শোয়ায়েবকে প্রেরণ করেছি। সে বললঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়! তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর। তিনি ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য নেই। তোমাদের কাছে তোমাদের প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে প্রমাণ এসে গেছে। অতএব তোমরা মাপ ও ওজন পূর্ন কর এবং মানুষকে তাদের দ্রব্যদি কম দিয়ো না এবং ভুপৃষ্টের সংস্কার সাধন করার পর তাতে অনর্থ সৃষ্টি করো না। এই হল তোমাদের জন্যে কল্যাণকর, যদি তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হও।
To the Madyan people We sent Shu'aib, one of their own brethren: he said: "O my people! worship Allah; Ye have no other god but Him. Now hath come unto you a clear (Sign) from your Lord! Give just measure and weight, nor withhold from the people the things that are their due; and do no mischief on the earth after it has been set in order: that will be best for you, if ye have Faith. |

তাদের উদাহরণ অতি নিকৃষ্ট, যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আমার আয়াত সমূহকে এবং তারা নিজেদেরই ক্ষতি সাধন করেছে।
Evil as an example are people who reject Our signs and wrong their own souls. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৭৭) |

আপনি বলে দিন, আমি আমার নিজের কল্যাণ সাধনের এবং অকল্যাণ সাধনের মালিক নই, কিন্তু যা আল্লাহ চান। আর আমি যদি গায়বের কথা জেনে নিতে পারতাম, তাহলে বহু মঙ্গল অর্জন করে নিতে পারতাম, ফলে আমার কোন অমঙ্গল কখনও হতে পারত না। আমি তো শুধুমাত্র একজন ভীতি প্রদর্শক ও সুসংবাদদাতা ঈমানদারদের জন্য।
Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith." |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৮৮) |

আর উপাসনা করে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে এমন বস্তুর, যা না তাদের কোন ক্ষতিসাধন করতে পারে, না লাভ এবং বলে, এরা তো আল্লাহর কাছে আমাদের সুপারিশকারী। তুমি বল, তোমরা কি আল্লাহকে এমন বিষয়ে অবহিত করছ, যে সম্পর্কে তিনি অবহিত নন আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে ? তিনি পুতঃপবিত্র ও মহান সে সমস্ত থেকে যাকে তোমরা শরীক করছ।
They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!" |

আর যারা পরকাল কামনা করে এবং মুমিন অবস্থায় তার জন্য যথাযথ চেষ্টা-সাধনা করে, এমন লোকদের চেষ্টা স্বীকৃত হয়ে থাকে।
Those who do wish for the (things of) the Hereafter, and strive therefor with all due striving, and have Faith,- they are the ones whose striving is acceptable (to Allah). |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ১৯) |

আমি কত জনপদের ধ্বংস সাধন করেছি যার অধিবাসীরা ছিল পাপী এবং তাদের পর সৃষ্টি করেছি অন্য জাতি।
How many were the populations We utterly destroyed because of their iniquities, setting up in their places other peoples? |

আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 14 |
এবং যাদের পাল্লা হাল্কা হবে তারাই নিজেদের ক্ষতিসাধন করেছে, তারা দোযখেই চিরকাল বসবাস করবে।
But those whose balance is light, will be those who have lost their souls, in Hell will they abide. |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ১০৩) |
| 15 |
যারা আমার পথে সাধনায় আত্মনিয়োগ করে, আমি অবশ্যই তাদেরকে আমার পথে পরিচালিত করব। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের সাথে আছেন।
And those who strive in Our (cause),- We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right. |
(আল আনকাবুত:
আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |
| 16 |
জাহান্নামের সামনে উপস্থিত করার সময় আপনি তাদেরকে দেখবেন, অপমানে অবনত এবং অর্ধ নিমীলিত দৃষ্টিতে তাকায়। মুমিনরা বলবে, কেয়ামতের দিন ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত তারাই, যারা নিজেদের ও তাদের পরিবার-পরিজনের ক্ষতি সাধন করেছে। শুনে রাখ, পাপাচারীরা স্থায়ী আযাবে থাকবে।
And thou wilt see them brought forward to the (Penalty), in a humble frame of mind because of (their) disgrace, (and) looking with a stealthy glance. And the Believers will say: "Those are indeed in loss, who have given to perdition their own selves and those belonging to them on the Day of Judgment. Behold! Truly the Wrong-doers are in a lasting Penalty!" |
(আশ-শুরা:
আয়াতঃ ৪৫) |
| 17 |
মরুবাসীদের মধ্যে যারা গৃহে বসে রয়েছে, তারা আপনাকে বলবেঃ আমরা আমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও পরিবার-পরিজনের কাজে ব্যস্ত ছিলাম। অতএব, আমাদের পাপ মার্জনা করান। তারা মুখে এমন কথা বলবে, যা তাদের অন্তরে নেই। বলুনঃ আল্লাহ তোমাদের ক্ষতি অথবা উপকার সাধনের ইচ্ছা করলে কে তাকে বিরত রাখতে পারে? বরং তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ সে বিষয় পরিপূর্ণ জ্ঞাত।
The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee: "We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds, and our families: do thou then ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah, if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 18 |
মুমিনগণ! যদি কোন পাপাচারী ব্যক্তি তোমাদের কাছে কোন সংবাদ আনয়ন করে, তবে তোমরা পরীক্ষা করে দেখবে, যাতে অজ্ঞতাবশতঃ তোমরা কোন সম্প্রদায়ের ক্ষতিসাধনে প্রবৃত্ত না হও এবং পরে নিজেদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে অনুতপ্ত না হও।
O ye who believe! If a wicked person comes to you with any news, ascertain the truth, lest ye harm people unwittingly, and afterwards become full of repentance for what ye have done. |
(আল হুজরাত:
আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 19 |
আমরা জানি না পৃথিবীবাসীদের অমঙ্গল সাধন করা অভীষ্ট, না তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের মঙ্গল সাধন করার ইচ্ছা রাখেন।
'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct. |
(আল জিন:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 20 |
বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদের ক্ষতি সাধন করার ও সুপথে আনয়ন করার মালিক নই।
Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to right conduct." |
(আল জিন:
