অতঃপর তাদের কেউ তাকে মান্য করেছে আবার কেউ তার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে রয়েছে। বস্তুতঃ (তাদের জন্য) দোযখের শিখায়িত আগুনই যথেষ্ট।
Some of them believed, and some of them averted their faces from him: And enough is Hell for a burning fire. |

আর যখন আপনি তাদেরকে বলবেন, আল্লাহর নির্দেশের দিকে এসো-যা তিনি রসূলের প্রতি নাযিল করেছেন, তখন আপনি মুনাফেকদিগকে দেখবেন, ওরা আপনার কাছ থেকে সম্পূর্ণ ভাবে সরে যাচ্ছে।
When it is said to them: "Come to what Allah hath revealed, and to the Messenger": Thou seest the Hypocrites avert their faces from thee in disgust. |

যখন আপনি তাদের মধ্যে থাকেন, অতঃপর নামাযে দাঁড়ান, তখন যেন একদল দাঁড়ায় আপনার সাথে এবং তারা যেন স্বীয় অস্ত্র সাথে নেয়। অতঃপর যখন তারা সেজদা সম্পন্ন করে, তখন আপনার কাছ থেকে যেন সরে যায় এবং অন্য দল যেন আসে, যারা নামায পড়েনি। অতঃপর তারা যেন আপনার সাথে নামায পড়ে এবং আত্মরক্ষার হাতিয়ার সাথে নেয়। কাফেররা চায় যে, তোমরা কোন রূপে অসতর্ক থাক, যাতে তারা একযোগে তোমাদেরকে আক্রমণ করে বসে। যদি বৃষ্টির কারণে তোমাদের কষ্ট হয় অথবা তোমরা অসুস্থ হও তবে স্বীয় অস্ত্র পরিত্যাগ করায় তোমাদের কোন গোনাহ নেই এবং সাথে নিয়ে নাও তোমাদের আত্নরক্ষার অস্ত্র। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ কাফেরদের জন্যে অপমানকর শাস্তি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছেন।
When thou (O Messenger) art with them, and standest to lead them in prayer, Let one party of them stand up (in prayer) with thee, Taking their arms with them: When they finish their prostrations, let them Take their position in the rear. And let the other party come up which hath not yet prayed - and let them pray with thee, Taking all precaution, and bearing arms: the Unbelievers wish, if ye were negligent of your arms and your baggage, to assault you in a single rush. But there is no blame on you if ye put away your arms because of the inconvenience of rain or because ye are ill; but take (every) precaution for yourselves. For the Unbelievers Allah hath prepared a humiliating punishment. |

যখন আপনি তাদেরকে দেখেন, যারা আমার আয়াত সমূহে ছিদ্রান্বেষণ করে, তখন তাদের কাছ থেকে সরে যান যে পর্যন্ত তারা অন্য কথায় প্রবৃত্ত না হয়, যদি শয়তান আপনাকে ভূলিয়ে দেয় তবে স্মরণ হওয়ার পর জালেমদের সাথে উপবেশন করবেন না।
When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong. |

আর ক্ষমা করার অভ্যাস গড়ে তোল, সৎকাজের নির্দেশ দাও এবং মূর্খ জাহেলদের থেকে দূরে সরে থাক।
Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; But turn away from the ignorant. |
(আল আ'রাফ:

আর যখনই কোন সূরা অবতীর্ণ হয়, তখন তারা একে অন্যের দিকে তাকায় যে, কোন মুসলমান তোমাদের দেখছে কি-না-অতঃপর সরে পড়ে। আল্লাহ ওদের অন্তরকে সত্য বিমুখ করে দিয়েছেন! নিশ্চয়ই তারা নির্বোধ সম্প্রদায়।
Whenever there cometh down a Sura, they look at each other, (saying), "Doth anyone see you?" Then they turn aside: Allah hath turned their hearts (from the light); for they are a people that understand not. |

আর আমি নির্দেশ পাঠালাম মূসা এবং তার ভাইয়ের প্রতি যে, তোমরা তোমাদের জাতির জন্য মিসরের মাটিতে বাস স্থান নির্ধারণ কর। আর তোমাদের ঘরগুলো বানাবে কেবলামুখী করে এবং নামায কায়েম কর আর যারা ঈমানদার তাদেরকে সুসংবাদ দান কর।
We inspired Moses and his brother with this Message: "Provide dwellings for your people in Egypt, make your dwellings into places of worship, and establish regular prayers: and give glad tidings to those who believe!" |

আর নৌকাখানি তাদের বহন করে চলল পর্বত প্রমাণ তরঙ্গমালার মাঝে, আর নূহ (আঃ) তাঁর পুত্রকে ডাক দিলেন আর সে সরে রয়েছিল, তিনি বললেন, প্রিয় বৎস! আমাদের সাথে আরোহন কর এবং কাফেরদের সাথে থেকো না।
So the Ark floated with them on the waves (towering) like mountains, and Noah called out to his son, who had separated himself (from the rest): "O my son! embark with us, and be not with the unbelievers!" |

আয়াতঃ ৪২) |

মিসরে যে ব্যক্তি তাকে ক্রয় করল, সে তার স্ত্রীকে বললঃ একে সম্মানে রাখ। সম্ভবতঃ সে আমাদের কাছে আসবে অথবা আমরা তাকে পুত্ররূপে গ্রহণ করে নেব। এমনিভাবে আমি ইউসুফকে এদেশে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করলাম এবং এ জন্যে যে তাকে বাক্যাদির পূর্ণ মর্ম অনুধাবনের পদ্ধতি বিষয়ে শিক্ষা দেই। আল্লাহ নিজ কাজে প্রবল থাকেন, কিন্তু অধিকাংশ লোক তা জানে না।
The man in Egypt who bought him, said to his wife: "Make his stay (among us) honourable: may be he will bring us much good, or we shall adopt him as a son." Thus did We establish Joseph in the land, that We might teach him the interpretation of stories (and events). And Allah hath full power and control over His affairs; but most among mankind know it not. |

অতঃপর যখন তারা ইউসুফের কাছে পৌঁছল, তখন ইউসুফ পিতা-মাতাকে নিজের কাছে জায়গা দিলেন এবং বললেনঃ আল্লাহ চাহেন তো শান্তি চিত্তে মিসরে প্রবেশ করুন।
Then when they entered the presence of Joseph, he provided a home for his parents with himself, and said: "Enter ye Egypt (all) in safety if it please Allah." |
(ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ৯৯) |
| 11 |
আমি মানুষকে নেয়ামত দান করলে সে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং অহংকারে দুরে সরে যায়; যখন তাকে কোন অনিষ্ট স্পর্শ করে, তখন সে একেবারে হতাশ হয়ে পড়ে।
Yet when We bestow Our favours on man, he turns away and becomes remote on his side (instead of coming to Us), and when evil seizes him he gives himself up to despair! |

আপনার পালনকর্তা ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু, যদি তিনি তাদেরকে তাদের কৃতকর্মের জন্যে পাকড়াও করেন তবে তাদের শাস্তি ত্বরাম্বিত করতেন, কিন্তু তাদের জন্য রয়েছে একটি প্রতিশ্রুত সময়, যা থেকে তারা সরে যাওয়ার জায়গা পাবে না।
But your Lord is Most forgiving, full of Mercy. If He were to call them (at once) to account for what they have earned, then surely He would have hastened their punishment: but they have their appointed time, beyond which they will find no refuge. |
(কাহফ:

এটা শ্রবণযোগ্য। আর কেউ আল্লাহর সম্মানযোগ্য বিধানাবলীর প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শন করলে পালনকর্তার নিকট তা তার জন্যে উত্তম। উল্লেখিত ব্যতিক্রমগুলো ছাড়া তোমাদের জন্যে চতুস্পদ জন্তু হালাল করা হয়েছে। সুতরাং তোমরা মূর্তিদের অপবিত্রতা থেকে বেঁচে থাক এবং মিথ্যা কথন থেকে দূরে সরে থাক;
Such (is the Pilgrimage): whoever honours the sacred rites of Allah, for him it is good in the Sight of his Lord. Lawful to you (for food in Pilgrimage) are cattle, except those mentioned to you (as exception): but shun the abomination of idols, and shun the word that is false,- |

তোমাদেরকে আমার আয়াতসমূহ শোনানো হত, তখন তোমরা উল্টো পায়ে সরে পড়তে।
"My Signs used to be rehearsed to you, but ye used to turn back on your heels- |

আয়াতঃ ৬৬) |

রসূলের আহবানকে তোমরা তোমাদের একে অপরকে আহ্বানের মত গণ্য করো না। আল্লাহ তাদেরকে জানেন, যারা তোমাদের মধ্যে চুপিসারে সরে পড়ে। অতএব যারা তাঁর আদেশের বিরুদ্ধাচরণ করে, তারা এ বিষয়ে সতর্ক হোক যে, বিপর্যয় তাদেরকে স্পর্শ করবে অথবা যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি তাদেরকে গ্রাস করবে।
Deem not the summons of the Messenger among yourselves like the summons of one of you to another: Allah doth know those of you who slip away under shelter of some excuse: then let those beware who withstand the Messenger's order, lest some trial befall them, or a grievous penalty be inflicted on them. |

তুমি আমার এই পত্র নিয়ে যাও এবং এটা তাদের কাছে অর্পন কর। অতঃপর তাদের কাছ থেকে সরে পড় এবং দেখ, তারা কি জওয়াব দেয়।
"Go thou, with this letter of mine, and deliver it to them: then draw back from them, and (wait to) see what answer they return"... |

যখন তিনি মাদইয়ানের কূপের ধারে পৌছলেন, তখন কূপের কাছে একদল লোককে পেলেন তারা জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করানোর কাজে রত। এবং তাদের পশ্চাতে দূ’জন স্ত্রীলোককে দেখলেন তারা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে আগলিয়ে রাখছে। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের কি ব্যাপার? তারা বলল, আমরা আমাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করাতে পারি না, যে পর্যন্ত রাখালরা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে নিয়ে সরে না যায়। আমাদের পিতা খুবই বৃদ্ধ।
And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man." |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ২৩) |

অতঃপর মূসা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করালেন। অতঃপর তিনি ছায়ার দিকে সরে গেলেন এবং বললেন, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, তুমি আমার প্রতি যে অনুগ্রহ নাযিল করবে, আমি তার মুখাপেক্ষী।
So he watered (their flocks) for them; then he turned back to the shade, and said:"O my Lord! truly am I in (desperate) need of any good that Thou dost send me!" |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ২৪) |

এবং যখন তাদের একদল বলেছিল, হে ইয়াসরেববাসী, এটা টিকবার মত জায়গা নয়, তোমরা ফিরে চল। তাদেরই একদল নবীর কাছে অনুমতি প্রার্থনা করে বলেছিল, আমাদের বাড়ী-ঘর খালি, অথচ সেগুলো খালি ছিল না, পলায়ন করাই ছিল তাদের ইচ্ছা।
Behold! A party among them said: "Ye men of Yathrib! ye cannot stand (the attack)! therefore go back!" And a band of them ask for leave of the Prophet, saying, "Truly our houses are bare and exposed," though they were not exposed they intended nothing but to run away. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ১৩) |

ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে ডেকে বলল, হে আমার কওম, আমি কি মিসরের অধিপতি নই? এই নদী গুলো আমার নিম্নদেশে প্রবাহিত হয়, তোমরা কি দেখ না?
And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, (witness) these streams flowing underneath my (palace)? What! see ye not then? |
(যুখরুফ:
আয়াতঃ ৫১) |
| 21 |
তারাই তো কুফরী করেছে এবং বাধা দিয়েছে তোমাদেরকে মসজিদে হারাম থেকে এবং অবস্থানরত কোরবানীর জন্তুদেরকে যথাস্থানে পৌছতে। যদি মক্কায় কিছুসংখ্যক ঈমানদার পুরুষ ও ঈমানদার নারী না থাকত, যাদেরকে তোমরা জানতে না। অর্থাৎ তাদের পিষ্ট হয়ে যাওয়ার আশংকা না থাকত, অতঃপর তাদের কারণে তোমরা অজ্ঞাতসারে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হতে, তবে সব কিছু চুকিয়ে দেয়া হত; কিন্তু এ কারণে চুকানো হয়নি, যাতে আল্লাহ তা’আলা যাকে ইচ্ছা স্বীয় রহমতে দাখিল করে নেন। যদি তারা সরে যেত, তবে আমি অবশ্যই তাদের মধ্যে যারা কাফের তাদেরকে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শস্তি দিতাম।
They are the ones who denied Revelation and hindered you from the Sacred Mosque and the sacrificial animals, detained from reaching their place of sacrifice. Had there not been believing men and believing women whom ye did not know that ye were trampling down and on whose account a crime would have accrued to you without (your) knowledge, (Allah would have allowed you to force your way, but He held back your hands) that He may admit to His Mercy whom He will. If they had been apart, We should certainly have punished the Unbelievers among them with a grievous Punishment. |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৫) |
| 22 |
তারাই বলেঃ আল্লাহর রাসূলের সাহচর্যে যারা আছে তাদের জন্যে ব্যয় করো না। পরিণামে তারা আপনা-আপনি সরে যাবে। ভূ ও নভোমন্ডলের ধন-ভান্ডার আল্লাহরই কিন্তু মুনাফিকরা তা বোঝে না।
They are the ones who say, "Spend nothing on those who are with Allah's Messenger, to the end that they may disperse (and quit Medina)." But to Allah belong the treasures of the heavens and the earth; but the Hypocrites understand not. |

আমি শপথ করি যেসব নক্ষত্রগুলো পশ্চাতে সরে যায়।
So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, |
