যারা একথা খেয়াল করে যে, তাদেরকে সম্মুখীন হতে হবে স্বীয় পরওয়ারদেগারের এবং তাঁরই দিকে ফিরে যেতে হবে।
Who bear in mind the certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him. |
(আল বাকারা:

আপনি বলে দিন, যে কেউ জিবরাঈলের শত্রু হয়-যেহেতু তিনি আল্লাহর আদেশে এ কালাম আপনার অন্তরে নাযিল করেছেন, যা সত্যায়নকারী তাদের সম্মুখস্থ কালামের এবং মুমিনদের জন্য পথপ্রদর্শক ও সুসংবাদদাতা।
Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel-for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will, a confirmation of what went before, and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe,- |

আর ব্যয় কর আল্লাহর পথে, তবে নিজের জীবনকে ধ্বংসের সম্মুখীন করো না। আর মানুষের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ কর। আল্লাহ অনুগ্রহকারীদেরকে ভালবাসেন।
And spend of your substance in the cause of Allah, and make not your own hands contribute to (your) destruction; but do good; for Allah loveth those who do good. |

আর সন্তানবতী নারীরা তাদের সন্তানদেরকে পূর্ন দু’বছর দুধ খাওয়াবে, যদি দুধ খাওয়াবার পূর্ণ মেয়াদ সমাপ্ত করতে চায়। আর সন্তানের অধিকারী অর্থাৎ, পিতার উপর হলো সে সমস্ত নারীর খোর-পোষের দায়িত্ব প্রচলিত নিয়ম অনুযায়ী। কাউকে তার সামর্থাতিরিক্ত চাপের সম্মুখীন করা হয় না। আর মাকে তার সন্তানের জন্য ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করা যাবে না। এবং যার সন্তান তাকেও তার সন্তানের কারণে ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন করা যাবে না। আর ওয়ারিসদের উপরও দায়িত্ব এই। তারপর যদি পিতা-মাতা ইচ্ছা করে, তাহলে দু’বছরের ভিতরেই নিজেদের পারস্পরিক পরামর্শক্রমে দুধ ছাড়িয়ে দিতে পারে, তাতে তাদের কোন পাপ নেই, আর যদি তোমরা কোন ধাত্রীর দ্বারা নিজের সন্তানদেরকে দুধ খাওয়াতে চাও, তাহলে যদি তোমরা সাব্যস্তকৃত প্রচলিত বিনিময় দিয়ে দাও তাতেও কোন পাপ নেই। আর আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং জেনে রেখো যে, আল্লাহ তোমাদের যাবতীয় কাজ অত্যন্ত ভাল করেই দেখেন।
The mothers shall give such to their offspring for two whole years, if the father desires to complete the term. But he shall bear the cost of their food and clothing on equitable terms. No soul shall have a burden laid on it greater than it can bear. No mother shall be Treated unfairly on account of her child. Nor father on account of his child, an heir shall be chargeable in the same way. If they both decide on weaning, by mutual consent, and after due consultation, there is no blame on them. If ye decide on a foster-mother for your offspring, there is no blame on you, provided ye pay (the mother) what ye offered, on equitable terms. But fear Allah and know that Allah sees well what ye do. |

আর যখন তালূত ও তার সেনাবাহিনী শত্রুর সম্মুখীন হল, তখন বলল, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদের মনে ধৈর্য্য সৃষ্টি করে দাও এবং আমাদেরকে দৃঢ়পদ রাখ-আর আমাদের সাহায্য কর সে কাফের জাতির বিরুদ্ধে।
When they advanced to meet Goliath and his forces, they prayed: "Our Lord! Pour out constancy on us and make our steps firm: Help us against those that reject faith." |
(আল বাকারা:

হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা যদি কাফেরদের কথা শোন, তাহলে ওরা তোমাদেরকে পেছনে ফিরিয়ে দেবে, তাতে তোমরা ক্ষতির সম্মুখীণ হয়ে পড়বে।
O ye who believe! If ye obey the Unbelievers, they will drive you back on your heels, and ye will turn back (from Faith) to your own loss. |
(আল ইমরান:

আর তোমরা উপরে উঠে যাচ্ছিলে এবং পেছন দিকে ফিরে তাকাচ্ছিলে না কারো প্রতি, অথচ রসূল ডাকছিলেন তোমাদিগকে তোমাদের পেছন দিক থেকে। অতঃপর তোমাদের উপর এলো শোকের ওপরে শোক, যাতে তোমরা হাত থেকে বেরিয়ে যাওয়া বস্তুর জন্য দুঃখ না কর এবং যার সম্মুখীণ হচ্ছ সেজন্য বিমর্ষ না হও। আর আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজের ব্যাপারে অবহিত রয়েছেন।
Behold! ye were climbing up the high ground, without even casting a side glance at any one, and the Messenger in your rear was calling you back. There did Allah give you one distress after another by way of requital, to teach you not to grieve for (the booty) that had escaped you and for (the ill) that had befallen you. For Allah is well aware of all that ye do. |

আপনার যে কল্যাণ হয়, তা হয় আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে আর আপনার যে অকল্যাণ হয়, সেটা হয় আপনার নিজের কারণে। আর আমি আপনাকে পাঠিয়েছি মানুষের প্রতি আমার পয়গামের বাহক হিসাবে। আর আল্লাহ সব বিষয়েই যথেষ্ট-সববিষয়ই তাঁর সম্মুখে উপস্থিত।
Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul. and We have sent thee as a messenger to (instruct) mankind. And enough is Allah for a witness. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৭৯) |

তিনিই রাত্রি বেলায় তোমাদেরকে করায়ত্ত করে নেন এবং যা কিছু তোমরা দিনের বেলায় কর, তা জানেন। অতঃপর তোমাদেরকে দিবসে সম্মুখিত করেন-যাতে নির্দিষ্ট ওয়াদা পূর্ণ হয়।
It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did. |

আর জেনে রাখ, তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি অকল্যাণের সম্মুখীনকারী। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহর নিকট রয়েছে মহা সওয়াব।
And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial; and that it is Allah with Whom lies your highest reward. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |

আর এ কথাও জেনে রাখ যে, কোন বস্তু-সামগ্রীর মধ্য থেকে যা কিছু তোমরা গনীমত হিসাবে পাবে, তার এক পঞ্চমাংশ হল আল্লাহর জন্য, রসূলের জন্য, তাঁর নিকটাত্নীয়-স্বজনের জন্য এবং এতীম-অসহায় ও মুসাফিরদের জন্য; যদি তোমাদের বিশ্বাস থাকে আল্লাহর উপর এবং সে বিষয়ের উপর যা আমি আমার বান্দার প্রতি অবতীর্ণ করেছি ফয়সালার দিনে, যেদিন সম্মুখীন হয়ে যায় উভয় সেনাদল। আর আল্লাহ সব কিছুর উপরই ক্ষমতাশীল।
And know that out of all the booty that ye may acquire (in war), a fifth share is assigned to Allah,- and to the Messenger, and to near relatives, orphans, the needy, and the wayfarer,- if ye do believe in Allah and in the revelation We sent down to Our servant on the Day of Testing,- the Day of the meeting of the two forces. For Allah hath power over all things. |

যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী লোকেরা তোমাদের চেয়ে বেশী ছিল শক্তিতে এবং ধন-সম্পদের ও সন্তান-সন্ততির অধিকারীও ছিল বেশী; অতঃপর উপকৃত হয়েছে নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা আবার তোমরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছ তোমাদের ভাগের দ্বারা-যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছিল নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা। আর তোমরাও বলছ তাদেরই চলন অনুযায়ী। তারা ছিল সে লোক, যাদের আমলসমূহ নিঃশেষিত হয়ে গেছে দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে। আর তারাই হয়েছে ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন।
As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good). |

আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |
| 13 |
আর যখন মানুষ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়, শুয়ে বসে, দাঁড়িয়ে আমাকে ডাকতে থাকে। তারপর আমি যখন তা থেকে মুক্ত করে দেই, সে কষ্ট যখন চলে যায় তখন মনে হয় কখনো কোন কষ্টেরই সম্মুখীন হয়ে যেন আমাকে ডাকেইনি। এমনিভাবে মনঃপুত হয়েছে নির্ভয় লোকদের যা তারা করেছে।
When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes! |
(ইউনুস:

সুতরাং তুমি যদি সে বস্তু সম্পর্কে কোন সন্দেহের সম্মুখীন হয়ে থাক যা তোমার প্রতি আমি নাযিল করেছি, তবে তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করো যারা তোমার পূর্ব থেকে কিতাব পাঠ করছে। এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই যে, তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের নিকট থেকে তোমার নিকট সত্য বিষয় এসেছে। কাজেই তুমি কস্মিনকালেও সন্দেহকারী হয়ো না।
If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in no wise of those in doubt. |
(ইউনুস:
আয়াতঃ ৯৪) |
| 15 |
আর আপনি আমার সম্মুখে আমারই নির্দেশ মোতাবেক একটি নৌকা তৈরী করুন এবং পাপিষ্ঠদের ব্যাপারে আমাকে কোন কথা বলবেন না। অবশ্যই তারা ডুবে মরবে।
"But construct an Ark under Our eyes and Our inspiration, and address Me no (further) on behalf of those who are in sin: for they are about to be overwhelmed (in the Flood)." |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |
| 16 |
অতঃপর যখন তারা ইউসুফের কাছে পৌঁছল তখন বললঃ হে আযীয, আমরা ও আমাদের পরিবারবর্গ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়ে পড়েছি এবং আমরা অপর্যাপ্ত পুঁজি নিয়ে এসেছি। অতএব আপনি আমাদের পুরোপুরি বরাদ্দ দিন এবং আমাদের কে দান করুন। আল্লাহ দাতাদেরকে প্রতিদান দিয়ে থাকেন।
Then, when they came (back) into (Joseph's) presence they said: "O exalted one! distress has seized us and our family: we have (now) brought but scanty capital: so pay us full measure, (we pray thee), and treat it as charity to us: for Allah doth reward the charitable." |
(ইউসূফ:
আয়াতঃ ৮৮) |
| 17 |
তুমি কি তাদের কে দেখনি, যারা আল্লাহর নেয়ামতকে কুফরে পরিণত করেছে এবং স্ব-জাতিকে সম্মুখীন করেছে ধ্বংসের আলয়ে।
Hast thou not turned thy vision to those who have changed the favour of Allah. Into blasphemy and caused their people to descend to the House of Perdition?- |
(ইব্রাহীম:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 18 |
তাদের সম্মুখে ও পশ্চাতে যা আছে, তা তিনি জানেন। তারা শুধু তাদের জন্যে সুপারিশ করে, যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহ সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা তাঁর ভয়ে ভীত।
He knows what is before them, and what is behind them, and they offer no intercession except for those who are acceptable, and they stand in awe and reverence of His (Glory). |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 19 |
যদি কাফেররা ঐ সময়টি জানত, যখন তারা তাদের সম্মুখ ও পৃষ্ঠদেশ থেকে অগ্নি প্রতিরোধ করতে পারবে না এবং তারা সাহায্য প্রাপ্ত হবে না।
If only the Unbelievers knew (the time) when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor yet from their backs, and (when) no help can reach them! |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 20 |
এবং স্মরণ করুন দাউদ ও সুলায়মানকে, যখন তাঁরা শস্যক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে বিচার করেছিলেন। তাতে রাত্রিকালে কিছু লোকের মেষ ঢুকে পড়েছিল। তাদের বিচার আমার সম্মুখে ছিল।
And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: We did witness their judgment. |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 21 |
এবং যারা আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য উপাস্যের এবাদত করে না, আল্লাহ যার হত্যা অবৈধ করেছেন, সঙ্গত কারণ ব্যতীত তাকে হত্যা করে না এবং ব্যভিচার করে না। যারা একাজ করে, তারা শাস্তির সম্মুখীন হবে।
Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred except for just cause, nor commit fornication; - and any that does this (not only) meets punishment. |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৬৮) |
| 22 |
এবং যারা মিথ্যা কাজে যোগদান করে না এবং যখন অসার ক্রিয়াকর্মের সম্মুখীন হয়, তখন মান রক্ষার্থে ভদ্রভাবে চলে যায়।
Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৭২) |
| 23 |
তারা বলবে, তোমাদের জন্যে ও তো অভিনন্দন নেই। তোমরাই আমাদেরকে এ বিপদের সম্মুখীন করেছ। অতএব, এটি কতই না ঘৃণ্য আবাসস্থল।
(The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৬০) |
| 24 |
তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যে আমাদেরকে এর সম্মুখীন করেছে, আপনি জাহান্নামে তার শাস্তি দ্বিগুণ করে দিন।
They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৬১) |
| 25 |
যখন আমি তাকে সুষম করব এবং তাতে আমার রূহ ফুঁকে দেব, তখন তোমরা তার সম্মুখে সেজদায় নত হয়ে যেয়ো।
"When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭২) |
| 26 |
আল্লাহ বললেন, হে ইবলীস, আমি স্বহস্তে যাকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, তার সম্মুখে সেজদা করতে তোমাকে কিসে বাধা দিল? তুমি অহংকার করলে, না তুমি তার চেয়ে উচ্চ মর্যাদা সম্পন্ন?
(Allah) said: "O Iblis! What prevents thee from prostrating thyself to one whom I have created with my hands? Art thou haughty? Or art thou one of the high (and mighty) ones?" |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৫) |
| 27 |
যখন তাদের কাছে রসূলগণ এসেছিলেন সম্মুখ দিক থেকে এবং পিছন দিক থেকে এ কথা বলতে যে, তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কারও পূজা করো না। তারা বলেছিল, আমাদের পালনকর্তা ইচ্ছা করলে অবশ্যই ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করতেন, অতএব, আমরা তোমাদের আনীত বিষয় অমান্য করলাম।
Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but Allah." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether)." |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 28 |
যেদিন আপনি দেখবেন ঈমানদার পুরুষ ও ঈমানদার নারীদেরকে, তাদের সম্মুখ ভাগে ও ডানপার্শ্বে তাদের জ্যোতি ছুটোছুটি করবে বলা হবেঃ আজ তোমাদের জন্যে সুসংবাদ জান্নাতের, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত, তাতে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। এটাই মহাসাফল্য।
One Day shalt thou see the believing men and the believing women- how their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands: (their greeting will be): "Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which flow rivers! to dwell therein for aye! This is indeed the highest Achievement!" |
(আল হাদীদ:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |

আমি জানতাম যে, আমাকে হিসাবের সম্মুখীন হতে হবে।
"I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 30 |
অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে ছেড়ে দিন, তারা বাকবিতন্ডা ও ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক করুক সেই দিবসের সম্মুখীন হওয়া পর্যন্ত, যে দিবসের ওয়াদা তাদের সাথে করা হচ্ছে।
So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!- |

প্রত্যেক পশ্চাতে ও সম্মুখে পরনিন্দাকারীর দুর্ভোগ,
Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, |
