তোমাদের জন্য সমুদ্রের শিকার ও সুমুদ্রের খাদ্য হালাল করা হয়েছে তোমাদের উপকারার্থে এবং তোমাদের এহরামকারীদের জন্যে হারাম করা হয়েছে স্থল শিকার যতক্ষণ এহরাম অবস্থায় থাক। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, যার কাছে তোমরা একত্রিত হবে।
Lawful to you is the pursuit of water-game and its use for food,- for the benefit of yourselves and those who travel; but forbidden is the pursuit of land-game;- as long as ye are in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. And fear Allah, to Whom ye shall be gathered back. |

যখন মূসা তাঁর যুবক (সঙ্গী) কে বললেনঃ দুই সমুদ্রের সঙ্গমস্থলে না পৌছা পর্যন্ত আমি আসব না অথবা আমি যুগ যুগ ধরে চলতে থাকব।
Behold, Moses said to his attendant, "I will not give up until I reach the junction of the two seas or (until) I spend years and years in travel." |

বলুনঃ আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, লেখার জন্যে যদি সমুদ্রের পানি কালি হয়, তবে আমার পালনকর্তার কথা, শেষ হওয়ার আগেই সে সমুদ্র নিঃশেষিত হয়ে যাবে। সাহায্যার্থে অনুরূপ আরেকটি সমুদ্র এনে দিলেও।
Say: "If the ocean were ink (wherewith to write out) the words of my Lord, sooner would the ocean be exhausted than would the words of my Lord, even if we added another ocean like it, for its aid." |

অথবা (তাদের কর্ম) প্রমত্ত সমুদ্রের বুকে গভীর অন্ধকারের ন্যায়, যাকে উদ্বেলিত করে তরঙ্গের উপর তরঙ্গ, যার উপরে ঘন কালো মেঘ আছে। একের উপর এক অন্ধকার। যখন সে তার হাত বের করে, তখন তাকে একেবারেই দেখতে পায় না। আল্লাহ যাকে জ্যোতি দেন না, তার কোন জ্যোতিই নেই।
Or (the Unbelievers' state) is like the depths of darkness in a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with billow topped by billow, topped by (dark) clouds: depths of darkness, one above another: if a man stretches out his hands, he can hardly see it! for any to whom Allah giveth not light, there is no light! |

বল তো কে পৃথিবীকে বাসোপযোগী করেছেন এবং তার মাঝে মাঝে নদ-নদী প্রবাহিত করেছেন এবং তাকে স্থিত রাখার জন্যে পর্বত স্থাপন করেছেন এবং দুই সমুদ্রের মাঝখানে অন্তরায় রেখেছেন। অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? বরং তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not. |

পৃথিবীতে যত বৃক্ষ আছে, সবই যদি কলম হয় এবং সমুদ্রের সাথেও সাত সমুদ্র যুক্ত হয়ে কালি হয়, তবুও তাঁর বাক্যাবলী লিখে শেষ করা যাবে না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ পরাক্রমশালী, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
And if all the trees on earth were pens and the ocean (were ink), with seven oceans behind it to add to its (supply), yet would not the words of Allah be exhausted (in the writing): for Allah is Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. |

এবং উত্তাল সমুদ্রের,
And by the Ocean filled with Swell;- |
