তিনিই সে সত্ত্বা যিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদের জন্য যা কিছু জমীনে রয়েছে সে সমস্ত। তারপর তিনি মনোসংযোগ করেছেন আকাশের প্রতি। বস্তুতঃ তিনি তৈরী করেছেন সাত আসমান। আর আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে অবহিত।
It is He Who hath created for you all things that are on earth; Moreover His design comprehended the heavens, for He gave order and perfection to the seven firmaments; and of all things He hath perfect knowledge. |

তিনি বললেন, হে আদম, ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলে দাও এসবের নাম। তারপর যখন তিনি বলে দিলেন সে সবের নাম, তখন তিনি বললেন, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলিনি যে, আমি আসমান ও যমীনের যাবতীয় গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কে খুব ভাল করেই অবগত রয়েছি? এবং সেসব বিষয়ও জানি যা তোমরা প্রকাশ কর, আর যা তোমরা গোপন কর!
He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" |

অতঃপর যালেমরা কথা পাল্টে দিয়েছে, যা কিছু তাদেরকে বলে দেয়া হয়েছিল তা থেকে। তারপর আমি অবতীর্ণ করেছি যালেমদের উপর আযাব, আসমান থেকে, নির্দেশ লংঘন করার কারণে।
But the transgressors changed the word from that which had been given them; so We sent on the transgressors a plague from heaven, for that they infringed (Our command) repeatedly. |

নিশ্চয়ই আসমান ও যমীনের সৃষ্টিতে, রাত ও দিনের বিবর্তনে এবং নদীতে নৌকাসমূহের চলাচলে মানুষের জন্য কল্যাণ রয়েছে। আর আল্লাহ তা’ আলা আকাশ থেকে যে পানি নাযিল করেছেন, তদ্দ্বারা মৃত যমীনকে সজীব করে তুলেছেন এবং তাতে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন সবরকম জীব-জন্তু। আর আবহাওয়া পরিবর্তনে এবং মেঘমালার যা তাঁরই হুকুমের অধীনে আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে বিচরণ করে, নিশ্চয়ই সে সমস্ত বিষয়ের মাঝে নিদর্শন রয়েছে বুদ্ধিমান সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে।
Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise. |

আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য কোন উপাস্য নেই, তিনি জীবিত, সবকিছুর ধারক। তাঁকে তন্দ্রাও স্পর্শ করতে পারে না এবং নিদ্রাও নয়। আসমান ও যমীনে যা কিছু রয়েছে, সবই তাঁর। কে আছ এমন, যে সুপারিশ করবে তাঁর কাছে তাঁর অনুমতি ছাড়া? দৃষ্টির সামনে কিংবা পিছনে যা কিছু রয়েছে সে সবই তিনি জানেন। তাঁর জ্ঞানসীমা থেকে তারা কোন কিছুকেই পরিবেষ্টিত করতে পারে না, কিন্তু যতটুকু তিনি ইচ্ছা করেন। তাঁর সিংহাসন সমস্ত আসমান ও যমীনকে পরিবেষ্টিত করে আছে। আর সেগুলোকে ধারণ করা তাঁর পক্ষে কঠিন নয়। তিনিই সর্বোচ্চ এবং সর্বাপেক্ষা মহান।
Allah! There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). |

আল্লাহর নিকট আসমান ও যমীনের কোন বিষয়ই গোপন নেই।
From Allah, verily nothing is hidden on earth or in the heavens. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |

বলে দিন, তোমরা যদি মনের কথা গোপন করে রাখ অথবা প্রকাশ করে দাও, আল্লাহ সে সবই জানতে পারেন। আর আসমান ও জমিনে যা কিছু আছে, সেসব ও তিনি জানেন। আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ে শক্তিমান।
Say: "Whether ye hide what is in your hearts or reveal it, Allah knows it all: He knows what is in the heavens, and what is on earth. And Allah has power over all things. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ২৯) |

বলুনঃ ‘হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! একটি বিষয়ের দিকে আস-যা আমাদের মধ্যে ও তোমাদের মধ্যে সমান-যে, আমরা আল্লাহ ছাড়া অন্য কারও ইবাদত করব না, তাঁর সাথে কোন শরীক সাব্যস্ত করব না এবং একমাত্র আল্লাহকে ছাড়া কাউকে পালনকর্তা বানাব না। তারপর যদি তারা স্বীকার না করে, তাহলে বলে দাও যে, ‘সাক্ষী থাক আমরা তো অনুগত।
Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will). |

তারা কি আল্লাহর দ্বীনের পরিবর্তে অন্য দ্বীন তালাশ করছে? আসমান ও যমীনে যা কিছু রয়েছে স্বেচ্ছায় হোক বা অনিচ্ছায় হোক, তাঁরই অনুগত হবে এবং তাঁর দিকেই ফিরে যাবে।
Do they seek for other than the Religion of Allah?-while all creatures in the heavens and on earth have, willing or unwilling, bowed to His Will (Accepted Islam), and to Him shall they all be brought back. |

আর যা কিছু আসমান ও যমীনে রয়েছে সে সবই আল্লাহর এবং আল্লাহর প্রতিই সব কিছু প্রত্যাবর্তনশীল।
To Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth: To Him do all questions go back (for decision). |

তারা সবাই সমান নয়। আহলে কিতাবদের মধ্যে কিছু লোক এমনও আছে যারা অবিচলভাবে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করে এবং রাতের গভীরে তারা সেজদা করে।
Not all of them are alike: Of the People of the Book are a portion that stand (For the right): They rehearse the Signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. |

আয়াতঃ ১১৩) |

আপনি যখন বলতে লাগলেন মুমিনগণকে-তোমাদের জন্য কি যথেষ্ট নয় যে, তোমাদের সাহায্যার্থে তোমাদের পালনকর্তা আসমান থেকে অবতীর্ণ তিন হাজার ফেরেশতা পাঠাবেন।
Remember thou saidst to the Faithful: "Is it not enough for you that Allah should help you with three thousand angels (Specially) sent down? |

আয়াতঃ ১২৪) |
| 13 |
আর যা কিছু আসমান ও যমীনে রয়েছে, সেসবই আল্লাহর। তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা ক্ষমা করবেন, যাকে ইচ্ছা আযাব দান করবেন। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন ক্ষমাকারী, করুণাময়।
To Allah belongeth all that is in the heavens and on earth. He forgiveth whom He pleaseth and punisheth whom He pleaseth; but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

আয়াতঃ ১২৯) |
| 14 |
তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার ক্ষমা এবং জান্নাতের দিকে ছুটে যাও যার সীমানা হচ্ছে আসমান ও যমীন, যা তৈরী করা হয়েছে পরহেযগারদের জন্য।
Be quick in the race for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Garden whose width is that (of the whole) of the heavens and of the earth, prepared for the righteous,- |

যে লোক আল্লাহর ইচ্ছার অনুগত, সে কি ঐ লোকের সমান হতে পারে, যে আল্লাহর রোষ অর্জন করেছে? বস্তুতঃ তার ঠিকানা হল দোযখ। আর তা কতইনা নিকৃষ্ট অবস্থান!
Is the man who follows the good pleasure of Allah Like the man who draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and whose abode is in Hell?- A woeful refuge! |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৬২) |

আল্লাহ তাদেরকে নিজের অনুগ্রহে যা দান করেছেন তাতে যারা কৃপণতা করে এই কার্পন্য তাদের জন্য মঙ্গলকর হবে বলে তারা যেন ধারণা না করে। বরং এটা তাদের পক্ষে একান্তই ক্ষতিকর প্রতিপন্ন হবে। যাতে তারা কার্পন্য করে সে সমস্ত ধন-সম্পদকে কিয়ামতের দিন তাদের গলায় বেড়ী বানিয়ে পরানো হবে। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন আসমান ও যমীনের পরম সত্ত্বাধিকারী। আর যা কিছু তোমরা কর; আল্লাহ সে সম্পর্কে জানেন।
And let not those who covetously withhold of the gifts which Allah Hath given them of His Grace, think that it is good for them: Nay, it will be the worse for them: soon shall the things which they covetously withheld be tied to their necks Like a twisted collar, on the Day of Judgment. To Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. |

| 17 |
আর আল্লাহর জন্যই হল আসমান ও যমিনের বাদশাহী। আল্লাহই সর্ব বিষয়ে ক্ষমতার অধিকারী।
To Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth; and Allah hath power over all things. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৮৯) |
| 18 |
নিশ্চয় আসমান ও যমীন সৃষ্টিতে এবং রাত্রি ও দিনের আবর্তনে নিদর্শন রয়েছে বোধ সম্পন্ন লোকদের জন্যে।
Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day,- there are indeed Signs for men of understanding,- |

আয়াতঃ ১৯০) |
| 19 |
যাঁরা দাঁড়িয়ে, বসে, ও শায়িত অবস্থায় আল্লাহকে স্মরণ করে এবং চিন্তা গবেষণা করে আসমান ও জমিন সৃষ্টির বিষযে, (তারা বলে) পরওয়ারদেগার! এসব তুমি অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করনি। সকল পবিত্রতা তোমারই, আমাদিগকে তুমি দোযখের শাস্তি থেকে বাঁচাও।
Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire. |

আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে তোমাদের সন্তানদের সম্পর্কে আদেশ করেনঃ একজন পুরুষের অংশ দু?জন নারীর অংশের সমান। অতঃপর যদি শুধু নারীই হয় দু' এর অধিক, তবে তাদের জন্যে ঐ মালের তিন ভাগের দুই ভাগ যা ত্যাগ করে মরে এবং যদি একজনই হয়, তবে তার জন্যে অর্ধেক। মৃতের পিতা-মাতার মধ্য থেকে প্রত্যেকের জন্যে ত্যাজ্য সম্পত্তির ছয় ভাগের এক ভাগ, যদি মৃতের পুত্র থাকে। যদি পুত্র না থাকে এবং পিতা-মাতাই ওয়ারিস হয়, তবে মাতা পাবে তিন ভাগের এক ভাগ। অতঃপর যদি মৃতের কয়েকজন ভাই থাকে, তবে তার মাতা পাবে ছয় ভাগের এক ভাগ ওছিয়্যতের পর, যা করে মরেছে কিংবা ঋণ পরিশোধের পর। তোমাদের পিতা ও পুত্রের মধ্যে কে তোমাদের জন্যে অধিক উপকারী তোমরা জান না। এটা আল্লাহ কতৃক নির্ধারিত অংশ নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, রহস্যবিদ।
Allah (thus) directs you as regards your Children's (Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females: if only daughters, two or more, their share is two-thirds of the inheritance; if only one, her share is a half. For parents, a sixth share of the inheritance to each, if the deceased left children; if no children, and the parents are the (only) heirs, the mother has a third; if the deceased Left brothers (or sisters) the mother has a sixth. (The distribution in all cases ('s) after the payment of legacies and debts. Ye know not whether your parents or your children are nearest to you in benefit. These are settled portions ordained by Allah; and Allah is All-knowing, Al-wise. |

আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 21 |
হে আসমানী গ্রন্থের অধিকারীবৃন্দ! যা কিছু আমি অবতীর্ণ করেছি তার উপর বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর, যা সে গ্রন্থের সত্যায়ন করে এবং যা তোমাদের নিকট রয়েছে পূর্ব থেকে। (বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর) এমন হওয়ার আগেই যে, আমি মুছে দেব অনেক চেহারাকে এবং অতঃপর সেগুলোকে ঘুরিয়ে দেব পশ্চাৎ দিকে কিংবা অভিসম্পাত করব তাদের প্রতি যেমন করে অভিসম্পাত করেছি আছহাবে-সাবতের উপর। আর আল্লাহর নির্দেশ অবশ্যই কার্যকর হবে।
O ye People of the Book! believe in what We have (now) revealed, confirming what was (already) with you, before We change the face and fame of some (of you) beyond all recognition, and turn them hindwards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers, for the decision of Allah Must be carried out. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |
| 22 |
তারা চায় যে, তারা যেমন কাফের, তোমরাও তেমনি কাফের হয়ে যাও, যাতে তোমরা এবং তারা সব সমান হয়ে যাও। অতএব, তাদের মধ্যে কাউকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা আল্লাহর পথে হিজরত করে চলে আসে। অতঃপর যদি তারা বিমুখ হয়, তবে তাদেরকে পাকড়াও কর এবং যেখানে পাও হত্যা কর। তাদের মধ্যে কাউকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করো না এবং সাহায্যকারী বানিও না।
They but wish that ye should reject Faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): But take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (From what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, seize them and slay them wherever ye find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks;- |

আয়াতঃ ৮৯) |
| 23 |
গৃহে উপবিষ্ট মুসলমান-যাদের কোন সঙ্গত ওযর নেই এবং ঐ মুসলমান যারা জান ও মাল দ্বারা আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদ করে,-সমান নয়। যারা জান ও মাল দ্বারা জেহাদ করে, আল্লাহ তাদের পদমর্যাদা বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন গৃহে উপবিষ্টদের তুলনায় এবং প্রত্যেকের সাথেই আল্লাহ কল্যাণের ওয়াদা করেছেন। আল্লাহ মুজাহেদীনকে উপবিষ্টদের উপর মহান প্রতিদানে শ্রেষ্ঠ করেছেন।
Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,- |

আয়াতঃ ৯৫) |
| 24 |
তোমরা কখনও নারীদেরকে সমান রাখতে পারবে না, যদিও এর আকাঙ্ক্ষী হও। অতএব, সম্পূর্ণ ঝুঁকেও পড়ো না যে, একজনকে ফেলে রাখ দোদুল্যমান অবস্থায়। যদি সংশোধন কর এবং খোদাভীরু হও, তবে আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়।
Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women, even if it is your ardent desire: But turn not away (from a woman) altogether, so as to leave her (as it were) hanging (in the air). If ye come to a friendly understanding, and practise self-restraint, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

আয়াতঃ ১২৯) |
| 25 |
আর যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে সবই আল্লাহর। বস্তুতঃ আমি নির্দেশ দিয়েছি তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী গ্রন্থের অধিকারীদেরকে এবং তোমাদেরকে যে, তোমরা সবাই ভয় করতে থাক আল্লাহকে। যদি তোমরা তা না মান, তবে জেনো, সে সব কিছুই আল্লাহ তা’আলার যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন অভাবহীন, প্রসংশিত।
To Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth. Verily we have directed the People of the Book before you, and you (o Muslims) to fear Allah. But if ye deny Him, lo! unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth, and Allah is free of all wants, worthy of all praise. |

আয়াতঃ ১৩১) |

আর আল্লাহরই জন্যে সে সবকিছু যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে। আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট কর্মবিধায়ক।
Yea, unto Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth, and enough is Allah to carry through all affairs. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৩২) |
| 27 |
আপনার নিকট আহলে-কিতাবরা আবেদন জানায় যে, আপনি তাদের উপর আসমান থেকে লিখিত কিতাব অবতীর্ণ করিয়ে নিয়ে আসুন। বস্তুতঃ এরা মূসার কাছে এর চেয়েও বড় জিনিস চেয়েছে। বলেছে, একেবারে সামনাসামনিভাবে আমাদের আল্লাহকে দেখিয়ে দাও। অতএব, তাদের উপর বজ্রপাত হয়েছে তাদের পাপের দরুন; অতঃপর তাদের নিকট সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ-নিদর্শন প্রকাশিত হবার পরেও তারা গো-বৎসকে উপাস্যরূপে গ্রহণ করেছিল; তাও আমি ক্ষমা করে দিয়েছিলাম এবং আমি মূসাকে প্রকৃষ্ট প্রভাব দান করেছিলাম।
The people of the Book ask thee to cause a book to descend to them from heaven: Indeed they asked Moses for an even greater (miracle), for they said: "Show us Allah in public," but they were dazed for their presumption, with thunder and lightning. Yet they worshipped the calf even after clear signs had come to them; even so we forgave them; and gave Moses manifest proofs of authority. |

আয়াতঃ ১৫৩) |
| 28 |
হে মানবজাতি! তোমাদের পালনকর্তার যথার্থ বাণী নিয়ে তোমাদের নিকট রসূল এসেছেন, তোমরা তা মেনে নাও যাতে তোমাদের কল্যাণ হতে পারে। আর যদি তোমরা তা না মান, জেনে রাখ আসমানসমূহে ও যমীনে যা কিছু রয়েছে সে সবকিছুই আল্লাহর। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন সর্বজ্ঞ, প্রাজ্ঞ।
O Mankind! The Messenger hath come to you in truth from Allah: believe in him: It is best for you. But if ye reject Faith, to Allah belong all things in the heavens and on earth: And Allah is All-knowing, All-wise. |

আয়াতঃ ১৭০) |
| 29 |
হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! তোমরা দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে বাড়াবাড়ি করো না এবং আল্লাহর শানে নিতান্ত সঙ্গত বিষয় ছাড়া কোন কথা বলো না। নিঃসন্দেহে মরিয়ম পুত্র মসীহ ঈসা আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর বাণী যা তিনি প্রেরণ করেছেন মরিয়মের নিকট এবং রূহ-তাঁরই কাছ থেকে আগত। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে এবং তার রসূলগণকে মান্য কর। আর একথা বলো না যে, আল্লাহ তিনের এক, একথা পরিহার কর; তোমাদের মঙ্গল হবে। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ একক উপাস্য। সন্তান-সন্ততি হওয়াটা তাঁর যোগ্য বিষয় নয়। যা কিছু আসমান সমূহ ও যমীনে রয়েছে সবই তার। আর কর্মবিধানে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট।
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. |

মানুষ আপনার নিকট ফতোয়া জানতে চায় অতএব, আপনি বলে দিন, আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে কালালাহ এর মীরাস সংক্রান্ত সুস্পষ্ট নির্দেশ বাতলে দিচ্ছেন, যদি কোন পুরুষ মারা যায় এবং তার কোন সন্তানাদি না থাকে এবং এক বোন থাকে, তবে সে পাবে তার পরিত্যাক্ত সম্পত্তির অর্ধেক অংশ এবং সে যদি নিঃসন্তান হয়, তবে তার ভাই তার উত্তরাধিকারী হবে। তা দুই বোন থাকলে তাদের জন্য পরিত্যক্ত সম্পত্তির দুই তৃতীয়াংশ। পক্ষান্তরে যদি ভাই ও বোন উভয়ই থাকে, তবে একজন পুরুষের অংশ দুজন নারীর সমান। তোমরা বিভ্রান্ত হবে আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে সুস্পষ্ট ভাবে জানিয়ে দিচ্ছেন। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন সর্ব বিষয়ে পরিজ্ঞাত।
They ask thee for a legal decision. Say: Allah directs (thus) about those who leave no descendants or ascendants as heirs. If it is a man that dies, leaving a sister but no child, she shall have half the inheritance: If (such a deceased was) a woman, who left no child, Her brother takes her inheritance: If there are two sisters, they shall have two-thirds of the inheritance (between them): if there are brothers and sisters, (they share), the male having twice the share of the female. Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His law), lest ye err. And Allah hath knowledge of all things. |

আমি এ গ্রন্থে তাদের প্রতি লিখে দিয়েছি যে, প্রাণের বিনিময়ে প্রাণ, চক্ষুর বিনিময়ে চক্ষু, নাকের বিনিময়ে নাক, কানের বিনিময়ে কান, দাঁতের বিনিময়ে দাঁত এবং যখম সমূহের বিনিময়ে সমান যখম। অতঃপর যে ক্ষমা করে, সে গোনাহ থেকে পাক হয়ে যায়। যেসব লোক আল্লাহ যা অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তদনুযায়ী ফয়সালা করে না তারাই জালেম।
We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers. |

মুমিনগণ, তোমরা এহরাম অবস্থায় শিকার বধ করো না। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে জেনেশুনে শিকার বধ করবে, তার উপর বিনিময় ওয়াজেব হবে, যা সমান হবে ঐ জন্তুর, যাকে সে বধ করেছে। দু’জন নির্ভরযোগ্য ব্যক্তি এর ফয়সালা করবে-বিনিময়ের জন্তুটি উৎসর্গ হিসেবে কাবায় পৌছাতে হবে। অথবা তার উপর কাফফারা ওয়াজেব-কয়েকজন দরিদ্রকে খাওয়ানো অথবা তার সমপরিমাণ রোযা রাখতে যাতে সে স্বীয় কৃতকর্মের প্রতিফল আস্বাদন করে। যা হয়ে গেছে, তা আল্লাহ মাফ করেছেন। যে পুনরায় এ কান্ড করবে, আল্লাহ তার কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিবেন। আল্লাহ পরাক্রান্ত, প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণে সক্ষম।
O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation is an offering, brought to the Ka'ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and Lord of Retribution. |

বলে দিনঃ অপবিত্র ও পবিত্র সমান নয়, যদিও অপবিত্রের প্রাচুর্য তোমাকে বিস্মিত করে। অতএব, হে বুদ্ধিমানগণ, আল্লাহকে ভয় কর-যাতে তোমরা মুক্তি পাও।
Say: "Not equal are things that are bad and things that are good, even though the abundance of the bad may dazzle thee; so fear Allah, O ye that understand; that (so) ye may prosper." |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১০০) |

আপনি বলুনঃ আমি তোমাদেরকে বলি না যে, আমার কাছে আল্লাহর ভান্ডার রয়েছে। তাছাড়া আমি অদৃশ্য বিষয় অবগতও নই। আমি এমন বলি না যে, আমি ফেরেশতা। আমি তো শুধু ঐ ওহীর অনুসরণ করি, যা আমার কাছে আসে। আপনি বলে দিনঃ অন্ধ ও চক্ষুমান কি সমান হতে পারে? তোমরা কি চিন্তা কর না ?
Say: "I tell you not that with me are the treasures of Allah, nor do I know what is hidden, nor do I tell you I am an angel. I but follow what is revealed to me." Say: "can the blind be held equal to the seeing?" Will ye then consider not? |

আয়াতঃ ৫০) |

তারা বলেঃ এসব চতুষ্পদ জন্তুর পেটে যা আছে, তা বিশেষ ভাবে আমাদের পুরুষদের জন্যে এবং আমাদের মহিলাদের জন্যে তা হারাম। যদি তা মৃত হয়, তবে তার প্রাপক হিসাবে সবাই সমান। অচিরেই তিনি তাদেরকে তাদের বর্ণনার শাস্তি দিবেন। তিনি প্রজ্ঞাময়, মহাজ্ঞানী।
They say: "What is in the wombs of such and such cattle is specially reserved (for food) for our men, and forbidden to our women; but if it is still-born, then all have share therein. For their (false) attribution (of superstitions to Allah), He will soon punish them: for He is full of wisdom and knowledge. |

যে একটি সৎকর্ম করবে, সে তার দশগুণ পাবে এবং যে, একটি মন্দ কাজ করবে, সে তার সমান শাস্তিই পাবে। বস্তুতঃ তাদের প্রতি জুলুম করা হবে না।
He that doeth good shall have ten times as much to his credit: He that doeth evil shall only be recompensed according to his evil: no wrong shall be done unto (any of) them. |

আয়াতঃ ১৬০) |

আর যদি সে জনপদের অধিবাসীরা ঈমান আনত এবং পরহেযগারী অবলম্বন করত, তবে আমি তাদের প্রতি আসমানী ও পার্থিব নেয়ামত সমূহ উম্মুক্ত করে দিতাম। কিন্তু তারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে। সুতরাং আমি তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করেছি তাদের কৃতকর্মের বদলাতে।
If the people of the towns had but believed and feared Allah, We should indeed have opened out to them (All kinds of) blessings from heaven and earth; but they rejected (the truth), and We brought them to book for their misdeeds. |

আয়াতঃ ৯৬) |
| 38 |
বলে দাও, হে মানব মন্ডলী। তোমাদের সবার প্রতি আমি আল্লাহ প্রেরিত রসূল, সমগ্র আসমান ও যমীনে তার রাজত্ব। একমাত্র তাঁকে ছাড়া আর কারো উপাসনা নয়। তিনি জীবন ও মৃত্যু দান করেন। সুতরাং তোমরা সবাই বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করো আল্লাহর উপর তাঁর প্রেরিত উম্মী নবীর উপর, যিনি বিশ্বাস রাখেন আল্লাহর এবং তাঁর সমস্ত কালামের উপর। তাঁর অনুসরণ কর যাতে সরল পথপ্রাপ্ত হতে পার।
Say: "O men! I am sent unto you all, as the Messenger of Allah, to Whom belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth: there is no god but He: it is He That giveth both life and death. So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the Unlettered Prophet, who believeth in Allah and His words: follow him that (so) ye may be guided." |

অনন্তর জালেমরা এতে অন্য শব্দ বদলে দিল তার পরিবর্তে, যা তাদেরকে বলা হয়েছিল। সুতরাং আমি তাদের উপর আযাব পাঠিয়েছি আসমান থেকে তাদের অপকর্মের কারণে।
But the transgressors among them changed the word from that which had been given them so we sent on them a plague from heaven. For that they repeatedly transgressed. |

আপনাকে জিজ্ঞেস করে, কেয়ামত কখন অনুষ্ঠিত হবে? বলে দিন এর খবর তো আমার পালনকর্তার কাছেই রয়েছে। তিনিই তা অনাবৃত করে দেখাবেন নির্ধারিত সময়ে। আসমান ও যমীনের জন্য সেটি অতি কঠিন বিষয়। যখন তা তোমাদের উপর আসবে অজান্তেই এসে যাবে। আপনাকে জিজ্ঞেস করতে থাকে, যেন আপনি তার অনুসন্ধানে লেগে আছেন। বলে দিন, এর সংবাদ বিশেষ করে আল্লাহর নিকটই রয়েছে। কিন্তু তা অধিকাংশ লোকই উপলব্ধি করে না।
They ask thee about the (final) Hour - when will be its appointed time? Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (alone): None but He can reveal as to when it will occur. Heavy were its burden through the heavens and the earth. Only, all of a sudden will it come to you." They ask thee as if thou Wert eager in search thereof: Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (alone), but most men know not." |

আয়াতঃ ১৮৭) |
| 41 |
আর তোমরা যদি তাদেরকে আহবান কর সুপথের দিকে, তবে তারা তোমাদের আহবান অনুযায়ী চলবে না। তাদেরকে আহবান জানানো কিংবা নীরব থাকা উভয়টিই তোমাদের জন্য সমান।
If ye call them to guidance, they will not obey: For you it is the same whether ye call them or ye hold your peace! |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৯৩) |
| 42 |
তবে কোন সম্প্রদায়ের ধোঁকা দেয়ার ব্যাপারে যদি তোমাদের ভয় থাকে, তবে তাদের চুক্তি তাদের দিকেই ছুঁড়ে ফেলে দাও এমনভাবে যেন হয়ে যাও তোমরাও তারা সমান। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ ধোকাবাজ, প্রতারককে পছন্দ করেন না।
If thou fearest treachery from any group, throw back (their covenant) to them, (so as to be) on equal terms: for Allah loveth not the treacherous. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |

তোমরা কি হাজীদের পানি সরবরাহ ও মসজিদুল-হারাম আবাদকরণকে সেই লোকের সমান মনে কর, যে ঈমান রাখে আল্লাহ ও শেষ দিনের প্রতি এবং যুদ্ধ করেছে আল্লাহর রাহে, এরা আল্লাহর দৃষ্টিতে সমান নয়, আর আল্লাহ জালেম লোকদের হেদায়েত করেন না।
Do ye make the giving of drink to pilgrims, or the maintenance of the Sacred Mosque, equal to (the pious service of) those who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and strive with might and main in the cause of Allah? They are not comparable in the sight of Allah: and Allah guides not those who do wrong. |

আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 44 |
নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর বিধান ও গননায় মাস বারটি, আসমানসমূহ ও পৃথিবী সৃষ্টির দিন থেকে। তন্মধ্যে চারটি সম্মানিত। এটিই সুপ্রতিষ্ঠিত বিধান; সুতরাং এর মধ্যে তোমরা নিজেদের প্রতি অত্যাচার করো না। আর মুশরিকদের সাথে তোমরা যুদ্ধ কর সমবেতভাবে, যেমন তারাও তোমাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করে যাচ্ছে সমবেতভাবে। আর মনে রেখো, আল্লাহ মুত্তাকীনদের সাথে রয়েছেন।
The number of months in the sight of Allah is twelve (in a year)- so ordained by Him the day He created the heavens and the earth; of them four are sacred: that is the straight usage. So wrong not yourselves therein, and fight the Pagans all together as they fight you all together. But know that Allah is with those who restrain themselves. |

নিশ্চয় আল্লাহরই জন্য আসমানসমূহ ও যমীনের সাম্রাজ্য। তিনিই জিন্দা করেন ও মৃত্যু ঘটান, আর আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তোমাদের জন্য কোন সহায়ও নেই, কোন সাহায্যকারীও নেই।
Unto Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He giveth life and He taketh it. Except for Him ye have no protector nor helper. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬) |
| 46 |
নিশ্চয়ই তোমাদের পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ যিনি তৈরী করেছেন আসমান ও যমীনকে ছয় দিনে, অতঃপর তিনি আরশের উপর অধিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন। তিনি কার্য পরিচালনা করেন। কেউ সুপারিশ করতে পাবে না তবে তাঁর অনুমতি ছাড়া ইনিই আল্লাহ তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তোমরা তাঁরই এবাদত কর। তোমরা কি কিছুই চিন্তা কর না ?
Verily your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath been obtained). This is Allah your Lord; Him therefore serve ye: will ye not receive admonition? |

| 47 |
নিশ্চয়ই রাত-দিনের পরিবর্তনের মাঝে এবং যা কিছু তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন আসমান ও যমীনে, সবই হল নিদর্শন সেসব লোকের জন্য যারা ভয় করে।
Verily, in the alternation of the night and the day, and in all that Allah hath created, in the heavens and the earth, are signs for those who fear Him. |

| 48 |
আর উপাসনা করে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে এমন বস্তুর, যা না তাদের কোন ক্ষতিসাধন করতে পারে, না লাভ এবং বলে, এরা তো আল্লাহর কাছে আমাদের সুপারিশকারী। তুমি বল, তোমরা কি আল্লাহকে এমন বিষয়ে অবহিত করছ, যে সম্পর্কে তিনি অবহিত নন আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে ? তিনি পুতঃপবিত্র ও মহান সে সমস্ত থেকে যাকে তোমরা শরীক করছ।
They serve, besides Allah, things that hurt them not nor profit them, and they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah." Say: "Do ye indeed inform Allah of something He knows not, in the heavens or on earth?- Glory to Him! and far is He above the partners they ascribe (to Him)!" |

পার্থিব জীবনের উদাহরণ তেমনি, যেমনি আমি আসমান থেকে পানি বর্ষন করলাম, পরে তা মিলিত সংমিশ্রিত হয়ে তা থেকে যমীনের শ্যামল উদ্ভিদ বেরিয়ে এল যা মানুষ ও জীব-জন্তুরা খেয়ে থাকে। এমনকি যমীন যখন সৌন্দর্য সুষমায় ভরে উঠলো আর যমীনের অধিকর্তারা ভাবতে লাগল, এগুলো আমাদের হাতে আসবে, হঠাৎ করে তার উপর আমার নির্দেশ এল রাত্রে কিংবা দিনে, তখন সেগুলোকে কেটে স্তুপাকার করে দিল যেন কাল ও এখানে কোন আবাদ ছিল না। এমনিভাবে আমি খোলাখুলি বর্ণনা করে থাকি নিদর্শণসমূহ সে সমস্ত লোকদের জন্য যারা লক্ষ্য করে।
The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect. |

তুমি জিজ্ঞেস কর, কে রুযী দান করে তোমাদেরকে আসমান থেকে ও যমীন থেকে, কিংবা কে তোমাদের কান ও চোখের মালিক? তাছাড়া কে জীবিতকে মৃতের ভেতর থেকে বের করেন এবং কেইবা মৃতকে জীবিতের মধ্য থেকে বের করেন? কে করেন কর্ম সম্পাদনের ব্যবস্থাপনা? তখন তারা বলে উঠবে, আল্লাহ! তখন তুমি বলো তারপরেও ভয় করছ না?
Say: "Who is it that sustains you (in life) from the sky and from the earth? or who is it that has power over hearing and sight? And who is it that brings out the living from the dead and the dead from the living? and who is it that rules and regulates all affairs?" They will soon say, "Allah". Say, "will ye not then show piety (to Him)?" |

শুনে রাখ, যা কিছু রয়েছে আসমানসমূহে ও যমীনে সবই আল্লাহর। শুনে রাখ, আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্য। তবে অনেকেই জানে না।
Is it not (the case) that to Allah belongeth whatever is in the heavens and on earth? Is it not (the case) that Allah's promise is assuredly true? Yet most of them understand not. |

আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |

বস্তুতঃ যে কোন অবস্থাতেই তুমি থাক এবং কোরআনের যে কোন অংশ থেকেই পাঠ করা কিংবা যে কোন কাজই তোমরা কর অথচ আমি তোমাদের নিকটে উপস্থিত থাকি যখন তোমরা তাতে আত্ননিয়োগ কর। আর তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার থেকে গোপন থাকে না একটি কনাও, না যমীনের এবং না আসমানের। না এর চেয়ে ক্ষুদ্র কোন কিছু আছে, না বড় যা এই প্রকৃষ্ট কিতাবে নেই।
In whatever business thou mayest be, and whatever portion thou mayest be reciting from the Qur'an,- and whatever deed ye (mankind) may be doing,- We are witnesses thereof when ye are deeply engrossed therein. Nor is hidden from thy Lord (so much as) the weight of an atom on the earth or in heaven. And not the least and not the greatest of these things but are recorded in a clear record. |

শুনছ, আসমানসমূহে ও যমীনে যা কিছু রয়েছে সবই আল্লাহর। আর এরা যারা আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে শরীকদের উপাসনার পেছনে পড়ে আছে-তা আসলে কিছুই নয়। এরা নিজেরই কল্পনার পেছনে পড়ে রয়েছে এবং এছাড়া আর কিছু নয় যে, এরা বুদ্ধি খাটাচ্ছে।
Behold! verily to Allah belong all creatures, in the heavens and on earth. What do they follow who worship as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy, and they do nothing but lie. |

আয়াতঃ ৬৬) |

তারা বলে, আল্লাহ পুত্র সাব্যস্ত করে নিয়েছেন-তিনি পবিত্র, তিনি অমুখাপেক্ষী। যাকিছু রয়েছে আসমান সমূহে ও যমীনে সবই তাঁর। তোমাদের কাছে তার কোন সনদ নেই। কেন তোমরা আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ কর-যার কোন সনদই তোমাদের কাছে নেই?
They say: "Allah hath begotten a son!" - Glory be to Him! He is self-sufficient! His are all things in the heavens and on earth! No warrant have ye for this! say ye about Allah what ye know not? |

আয়াতঃ ৬৮) |

তাহলে আপনি বলে দিন, চেয়ে দেখ তো আসমানসমুহে ও যমীনে কি রয়েছে। আর কোন নিদর্শন এবং কোন ভীতিপ্রর্দশনই কোন কাজে আসে না সেসব লোকের জন্য যারা মান্য করে না।
Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not. |

আয়াতঃ ১০১) |

তিনিই আসমান ও যমীন ছয় দিনে তৈরী করেছেন, তাঁর আরশ ছিল পানির উপরে, তিনি তোমাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করতে চান যে, তোমাদের মধ্যে কে সবচেয়ে ভাল কাজ করে। আর যদি আপনি তাদেরকে বলেন যে, "নিশ্চয় তোমাদেরকে মৃত্যুর পরে জীবিত ওঠানো হবে, তখন কাফেরেরা অবশ্য বলে এটা তো স্পষ্ট যাদু!";
He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days - and His Throne was over the waters - that He might try you, which of you is best in conduct. But if thou wert to say to them, "Ye shall indeed be raised up after death", the Unbelievers would be sure to say, "This is nothing but obvious sorcery!" |

আয়াতঃ ৭) |

আচ্ছা বল তো, যে ব্যক্তি তার প্রভুর সুস্পষ্ট পথে রয়েছে, আর সাথে সাথে আল্লাহর তরফ থেকে একটি সাক্ষীও বর্তমান রয়েছে এবং তার পূর্ববর্তী মূসা (আঃ) এর কিতাবও সাক্ষী যা ছিল পথনির্দেশক ও রহমত স্বরূপ, (তিনি কি অন্যান্যের সমান) অতএব তাঁরা কোরআনের প্রতি ঈমান আনেন। আর ঐসব দলগুলি যে কেউ তা অস্বীকার করে, দোযখই হবে তার ঠিকানা। অতএব, আপনি তাতে কোন সন্দেহে থাকবেন না। নিঃসন্দেহে তা আপনার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ হতে ধ্রুব সত্য; তথাপি অনেকেই তা বিশ্বাস করে না।
Can they be (like) those who accept a Clear (Sign) from their Lord, and whom a witness from Himself doth teach, as did the Book of Moses before it,- a guide and a mercy? They believe therein; but those of the Sects that reject it,- the Fire will be their promised meeting-place. Be not then in doubt thereon: for it is the truth from thy Lord: yet many among men do not believe! |

উভয় পক্ষের দৃষ্টান্ত হচ্ছে যেমন অন্ধ ও বধির এবং যে দেখতে পায় ও শুনতে পায় উভয়ের অবস্থা কি এক সমান? তবুও তোমরা কি ভেবে দেখ না?
These two kinds (of men) may be compared to the blind and deaf, and those who can see and hear well. Are they equal when compared? Will ye not then take heed? |

আর হে আমার কওম! তোমাদের পালন কর্তার কাছে তোমরা ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর, অতঃপর তাঁরই প্রতি মনোনিবেশ কর; তিনি আসমান থেকে তোমাদের উপর বৃষ্টি ধারা প্রেরণ করবেন এবং তোমাদের শক্তির উপর শক্তি বৃদ্ধি করবেন, তোমরা কিন্তু অপরাধীদের মত বিমুখ হয়ো না।
"And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!" |

তারা সেখানে চিরকাল থাকবে, যতদিন আসমান ও যমীন বর্তমান থাকবে। তবে তোমার প্রতিপালক অন্য কিছু ইচ্ছা করলে ভিন্ন কথা। নিশ্চয় তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার যা ইচ্ছা করতে পারেন।
They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: for thy Lord is the (sure) accomplisher of what He planneth. |

আর যারা সৌভাগ্যবান তারা বেহেশতের মাঝে, সেখানেই চিরদিন থাকবে, যতদিন আসমান ও যমীন বর্তমান থাকবে। তবে তোমার প্রভু অন্য কিছু ইচ্ছা করলে ভিন্ন কথা। এ দানের ধারাবাহিকতা কখনো ছিন্ন হওয়ার নয়।
And those who are blessed shall be in the Garden: They will dwell therein for all the time that the heavens and the earth endure, except as thy Lord willeth: a gift without break. |

আর আল্লাহর কাছেই আছে আসমান ও যমীনের গোপন তথ্য; আর সকল কাজের প্রত্যাবর্তন তাঁরই দিকে; অতএব, তাঁরই বন্দেগী কর এবং তাঁর উপর ভরসা রাখ, আর তোমাদের কার্যকলাপ সম্বন্ধে তোমার পালনকর্তা কিন্তু বে-খবর নন।
To Allah do belong the unseen (secrets) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him goeth back every affair (for decision): then worship Him, and put thy trust in Him: and thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do. |

তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ গোপনে কথা বলুক বা তা সশব্দে প্রকাশ করুক, রাতের অন্ধকারে সে আত্নগোপন করুক বা প্রকাশ্য দিবালোকে বিচরণ করুক, সবাই তাঁর নিকট সমান।
It is the same (to Him) whether any of you conceal his speech or declare it openly; whether he lie hid by night or walk forth freely by day. |

জিজ্ঞেস করুন নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা কে? বলে দিনঃ আল্লাহ! বলুনঃ তবে কি তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন অভিভাবক স্থির করেছ, যারা নিজেদের ভাল-মন্দের ও মালিক নয়? বলুনঃ অন্ধ চক্ষুষ্মান কি সমান হয়? অথবা কোথাও কি অন্ধকার ও আলো সমান হয়। তবে কি তারা আল্লাহর জন্য এমন অংশীদার স্থির করেছে যে, তারা কিছু সৃষ্টি করেছে, যেমন সৃষ্টি করেছেন আল্লাহ? অতঃপর তাদের সৃষ্টি এরূপ বিভ্রান্তি ঘটিয়েছে? বলুনঃ আল্লাহই প্রত্যেক বস্তুর স্রষ্টা এবং তিনি একক, পরাক্রমশালী।
Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth?" Say: "(It is) Allah." Say: "Do ye then take (for worship) protectors other than Him, such as have no power either for good or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with light?" Or do they assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created, so that the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of all things: He is the One, the Supreme and Irresistible." |

যে ব্যক্তি জানে যে, যা কিছু পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আপনার প্রতি অবর্তীর্ণ হয়েছে তা সত্য সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির সমান, যে অন্ধ? তারাই বোঝে, যারা বোধশক্তি সম্পন্ন।
Is then one who doth know that that which hath been revealed unto thee from thy Lord is the Truth, like one who is blind? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition;- |

তারা কি দেখে না যে, আমি তাদের দেশকে চতুর্দিক থেকে সমানে সঙ্কুচিত করে আসছি? আল্লাহ নির্দেশ দেন। তাঁর নির্দেশকে পশ্চাতে নিক্ষেপকারী কেউ নেই। তিনি দ্রুত হিসাব গ্রহণ করেন।
See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their control) from its outlying borders? (Where) Allah commands, there is none to put back His Command: and He is swift in calling to account. |

সবাই আল্লাহর সামনে দন্ডায়মান হবে এবং দুর্বলেরা বড়দেরকে বলবেঃ আমরা তো তোমাদের অনুসারী ছিলাম-অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহর আযাব থেকে আমাদেরকে কিছুমাত্র রক্ষা করবে কি? তারা বলবেঃ যদি আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে সৎপথ দেখাতেন, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের কে সৎপথ দেখাতাম। এখন তো আমাদের ধৈর্য্যচ্যুত হই কিংবা সবর করি-সবই আমাদের জন্যে সমান আমাদের রেহাই নেই।
They will all be marshalled before Allah together: then will the weak say to those who were arrogant, "For us, we but followed you; can ye then avail us to all against the wrath of Allah?" They will reply, "If we had received the Guidance of Allah, we should have given it to you: to us it makes no difference (now) whether we rage, or bear (these torments) with patience: for ourselves there is no way of escape." |

আল্লাহ তা’আলা জীবনোপকরণে তোমাদের একজনকে অন্যজনের চাইতে শ্রেষ্টত্ব দিয়েছেন। অতএব যাদেরকে শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব দেয়া হয়েছে, তারা তাদের অধীনস্থ দাস-দাসীদেরকে স্বীয় জীবিকা থেকে এমন কিছু দেয় না, যাতে তারা এ বিষয়ে তাদের সমান হয়ে যাবে। তবে কি তারা আল্লাহর নেয়ামত অস্বীকার করে।
Allah has bestowed His gifts of sustenance more freely on some of you than on others: those more favoured are not going to throw back their gifts to those whom their right hands possess, so as to be equal in that respect. Will they then deny the favours of Allah? |

আল্লাহ একটি দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন, অপরের মালিকানাধীন গোলামের যে, কোন কিছুর উপর শক্তি রাখে না এবং এমন একজন যাকে আমি নিজের পক্ষ থেকে চমৎকার রুযী দিয়েছি। অতএব, সে তা থেকে ব্যয় করে গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে উভয়ে কি সমান হয়? সব প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, কিন্তু অনেক মানুষ জানে না।
Allah sets forth the Parable (of two men: one) a slave under the dominion of another; He has no power of any sort; and (the other) a man on whom We have bestowed goodly favours from Ourselves, and he spends thereof (freely), privately and publicly: are the two equal? (By no means;) praise be to Allah. But most of them understand not. |

আল্লাহ আরেকটি দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেন, দু’ব্যক্তির, একজন বোবা কোন কাজ করতে পারে না। সে মালিকের উপর বোঝা। যেদিকে তাকে পাঠায়, কোন সঠিক কাজ করে আসে না। সে কি সমান হবে ঐ ব্যক্তির, যে ন্যায় বিচারের আদেশ করে এবং সরল পথে কায়েম রয়েছে।
Allah sets forth (another) Parable of two men: one of them dumb, with no power of any sort; a wearisome burden is he to his master; whichever way be directs him, he brings no good: is such a man equal with one who commands Justice, and is on a Straight Way? |

অথবা আপনি যেমন বলে থাকেন, তেমনিভাবে আমাদের উপর আসমানকে খন্ড-বিখন্ড করে ফেলে দেবেন অথবা আল্লাহ ও ফেরেশতাদেরকে আমাদের সামনে নিয়ে আসবেন।
"Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: |

আয়াতঃ ৯২) |
| 72 |
তারা কি দেখেনি যে, যে আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমিন সৃজিত করেছেন, তিনি তাদের মত মানুষও পুনরায় সৃষ্টি করতে সক্ষম? তিনি তাদের জন্যে স্থির করেছেন একটি নির্দিষ্ট কাল, এতে কোন সন্দেহ নেই; অতঃপর জালেমরা অস্বীকার ছাড়া কিছু করেনি।
See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, has power to create the like of them (anew)? Only He has decreed a term appointed, of which there is no doubt. But the unjust refuse (to receive it) except with ingratitude. |

আয়াতঃ ৯৯) |

তিনি বললেনঃ তুমি জান যে, আসমান ও যমীনের পালনকর্তাই এসব নিদর্শনাবলী প্রত্যক্ষ প্রমাণস্বরূপ নাযিল করেছেন। হে ফেরাউন, আমার ধারণায় তুমি ধ্বংস হতে চলেছো।
Moses said, "Thou knowest well that these things have been sent down by none but the Lord of the heavens and the earth as eye-opening evidence: and I consider thee indeed, O Pharaoh, to be one doomed to destruction!" |

আয়াতঃ ১০২) |

আমি তাদের মন দৃঢ় করেছিলাম, যখন তারা উঠে দাঁড়িয়েছিল। অতঃপর তারা বললঃ আমাদের পালনকর্তা আসমান ও যমীনের পালনকর্তা আমরা কখনও তার পরিবর্তে অন্য কোন উপাস্যকে আহবান করব না। যদি করি, তবে তা অত্যন্ত গর্হিত কাজ হবে।
We gave strength to their hearts: Behold, they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and of the earth: never shall we call upon any god other than Him: if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity! |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 75 |
আশাকরি আমার পালকর্তা আমাকে তোমার বাগান অপেক্ষা উৎকৃষ্টতর কিছু দেবেন এবং তার (তোমার বাগানের) উপর আসমান থেকে আগুন প্রেরণ করবেন। অতঃপর সকাল বেলায় তা পরিষ্কার ময়দান হয়ে যাবে।
"It may be that my Lord will give me something better than thy garden, and that He will send on thy garden thunderbolts (by way of reckoning) from heaven, making it (but) slippery sand!- |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |

তারা আপনাকে আযাব ত্বরান্বিত করতে বলে। অথচ আল্লাহ কখনও তাঁর ওয়াদা ভঙ্গ করেন না। আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে একদিন তোমাদের গণনার এক হাজার বছরের সমান।
Yet they ask thee to hasten on the Punishment! But Allah will not fail in His Promise. Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning. |
(হাজ্জ্ব:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |
| 77 |
তিনিই সমান্তরালে দুই সমুদ্র প্রবাহিত করেছেন, এটি মিষ্ট, তৃষ্ণা নিবারক ও এটি লোনা, বিস্বাদ; উভয়ের মাঝখানে রেখেছেন একটি অন্তরায়, একটি দুর্ভেদ্য আড়াল।
It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. |

তারা বলল, তুমি উপদেশ দাও অথবা উপদেশ নাই দাও, উভয়ই আমাদের জন্যে সমান।
They said: "It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or be not among (our) admonishers! |
(আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ১৩৬) |

যাকে আমি উত্তম প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি, যা সে পাবে, সে কি ঐ ব্যক্তির সমান, যাকে আমি পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ-সম্ভার দিয়েছি, অতঃপর তাকে কেয়ামতের দিন অপরাধীরূপে হাযির করা হবে?
Are (these two) alike?- one to whom We have made a goodly promise, and who is going to reach its (fulfilment), and one to whom We have given the good things of this life, but who, on the Day of Judgment, is to be among those brought up (for punishment)? |

আল্লাহ তোমাদের জন্যে তোমাদেরই মধ্য থেকে একটি দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেনঃ তোমাদের আমি যে রুযী দিয়েছি, তোমাদের অধিকারভুক্ত দাস-দাসীরা কি তাতে তোমাদের সমান সমান অংশীদার? তোমরা কি তাদেরকে সেরূপ ভয় কর, যেরূপ নিজেদের লোককে ভয় কর? এমনিভাবে আমি সমঝদার সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা করি।
He does propound to you a similitude from your own (experience): do ye have partners among those whom your right hands possess, to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you? Do ye fear them as ye fear each other? Thus do we explain the Signs in detail to a people that understand. |

আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 81 |
তোমাদের সৃষ্টি ও পুনরুত্থান একটি মাত্র প্রাণীর সৃষ্টি ও পুনরুত্থানের সমান বৈ নয়। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সব কিছু শোনেন, সবকিছু দেখেন।
And your creation or your resurrection is in no wise but as an individual soul: for Allah is He Who hears and sees (all things). |
(লোকমান:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 82 |
তিনি আকাশ থেকে পৃথিবী পর্যন্ত সমস্ত কর্ম পরিচালনা করেন, অতঃপর তা তাঁর কাছে পৌছবে এমন এক দিনে, যার পরিমাণ তোমাদের গণনায় হাজার বছরের সমান।
He rules (all) affairs from the heavens to the earth: in the end will (all affairs) go up to Him, on a Day, the space whereof will be (as) a thousand years of your reckoning. |
(সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |
| 83 |
ঈমানদার ব্যক্তি কি অবাধ্যের অনুরূপ? তারা সমান নয়।
Is then the man who believes no better than the man who is rebellious and wicked? Not equal are they. |
(সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 84 |
সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহর, যিনি আসমান ও যমীনের স্রষ্টা এবং ফেরেশতাগণকে করেছেন বার্তাবাহক-তারা দুই দুই, তিন তিন ও চার চার পাখাবিশিষ্ট। তিনি সৃষ্টি মধ্যে যা ইচ্ছা যোগ করেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়ে সক্ষম।
Praise be to Allah, Who created (out of nothing) the heavens and the earth, Who made the angels, messengers with wings,- two, or three, or four (pairs): He adds to Creation as He pleases: for Allah has power over all things. |

আয়াতঃ ১) |

হে মানুষ, তোমাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ স্মরণ কর। আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন কোন স্রষ্টা আছে কি, যে তোমাদেরকে আসমান ও যমীন থেকে রিযিক দান করে? তিনি ব্যতীত কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব তোমরা কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছ?
O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! is there a creator, other than Allah, to give you sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth? |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ৩) |

যাকে মন্দকর্ম শোভনীয় করে দেখানো হয়, সে তাকে উত্তম মনে করে, সে কি সমান যে মন্দকে মন্দ মনে করে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথভ্রষ্ট করেন এবং যাকে ইচছা সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করেন। সুতরাং আপনি তাদের জন্যে অনুতাপ করে নিজেকে ধ্বংস করবেন না। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ জানেন তারা যা করে।
Is he, then, to whom the evil of his conduct is made alluring, so that he looks upon it as good, (equal to one who is rightly guided)? For Allah leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So let not thy soul go out in (vainly) sighing after them: for Allah knows well all that they do! |

আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 87 |
দু’টি সমুদ্র সমান হয় না-একটি মিঠা ও তৃষ্ণানিবারক এবং অপরটি লোনা। ঊভয়টি থেকেই তোমরা তাজা গোশত (মৎস) আহার কর এবং পরিধানে ব্যবহার্য গয়নাগাটি আহরণ কর। তুমি তাতে তার বুক চিরে জাহাজ চলতে দেখ, যাতে তোমরা তার অনুগ্রহ অন্বেষণ কর এবং যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
Nor are the two bodies of flowing water alike,- the one palatable, sweet, and pleasant to drink, and the other, salt and bitter. Yet from each (kind of water) do ye eat flesh fresh and tender, and ye extract ornaments to wear; and thou seest the ships therein that plough the waves, that ye may seek (thus) of the Bounty of Allah that ye may be grateful. |

দৃষ্টিমান ও দৃষ্টিহীন সমান নয়।
The blind and the seeing are not alike; |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ১৯) |

সমান নয় অন্ধকার ও আলো।
Nor are the depths of Darkness and the Light; |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 90 |
সমান নয় ছায়া ও তপ্তরোদ।
Nor are the (chilly) shade and the (genial) heat of the sun: |

আয়াতঃ ২১) |
| 91 |
আরও সমান নয় জীবিত ও মৃত। আল্লাহ শ্রবণ করান যাকে ইচ্ছা। আপনি কবরে শায়িতদেরকে শুনাতে সক্ষম নন।
Nor are alike those that are living and those that are dead. Allah can make any that He wills to hear; but thou canst not make those to hear who are (buried) in graves. |

আয়াতঃ ২২) |

আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমীনের অদৃশ্য বিষয় সম্পর্কে জ্ঞাত। তিনি অন্তরের বিষয় সম্পর্কেও সবিশেষ অবহিত।
Verily Allah knows (all) the hidden things of the heavens and the earth: verily He has full knowledge of all that is in (men's) hearts. |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |

বলুন, তোমরা কি তোমাদের সে শরীকদের কথা ভেবে দেখেছ, যাদেরকে আল্লাহর পরিবর্তে তোমরা ডাক? তারা পৃথিবীতে কিছু সৃষ্টি করে থাকলে আমাকে দেখাও। না আসমান সৃষ্টিতে তাদের কোন অংশ আছে, না আমি তাদেরকে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি যে, তারা তার দলীলের উপর কায়েম রয়েছে, বরং জালেমরা একে অপরকে কেবল প্রতারণামূলক ওয়াদা দিয়ে থাকে।
Say: "Have ye seen (these) 'Partners' of yours whom ye call upon besides Allah? Show Me what it is they have created in the (wide) earth. Or have they a share in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book from which they (can derive) clear (evidence)?- Nay, the wrong-doers promise each other nothing but delusions. |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 94 |
নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমীনকে স্থির রাখেন, যাতে টলে না যায়। যদি এগুলো টলে যায় তবে তিনি ব্যতীত কে এগুলোকে স্থির রাখবে? তিনি সহনশীল, ক্ষমাশীল।
It is Allah Who sustains the heavens and the earth, lest they cease (to function): and if they should fail, there is none - not one - can sustain them thereafter: Verily He is Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving. |

আপনি তাদেরকে সতর্ক করুন বা না করুন, তাদের পক্ষে দুয়েই সমান; তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করবে না।
The same is it to them whether thou admonish them or thou do not admonish them: they will not believe. |

তিনি আসমান সমূহ, যমীনও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছুর পালনকর্তা এবং পালনকর্তা উদয়াচলসমূহের।
Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! |
(আস-সাফফাত:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |

আমি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী কোন কিছু অযথা সৃষ্টি করিনি। এটা কাফেরদের ধারণা। অতএব, কাফেরদের জন্যে রয়েছে দূর্ভোগ অর্থাৎ জাহান্নাম।
Not without purpose did We create heaven and earth and all between! that were the thought of Unbelievers! but woe to the Unbelievers because of the Fire (of Hell)! |

তিনি আসমান-যমীন ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সব কিছুর পালনকর্তা, পরাক্রমশালী, মার্জনাকারী।
"The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- Exalted in Might, able to enforce His Will, forgiving again and again." |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৬) |

তিনি আসমান ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছেন যথাযথভাবে। তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবস দ্বারা আচ্ছাদিত করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রি দ্বারা আচ্ছাদিত করেন এবং তিনি সুর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কাজে নিযুক্ত করেছেন প্রত্যেকেই বিচরণ করে নির্দিষ্ট সময়কাল পর্যন্ত। জেনে রাখুন, তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, ক্ষমাশীল।
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again? |

যে ব্যক্তি রাত্রিকালে সেজদার মাধ্যমে অথবা দাঁড়িয়ে এবাদত করে, পরকালের আশংকা রাখে এবং তার পালনকর্তার রহমত প্রত্যাশা করে, সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ করে না; বলুন, যারা জানে এবং যারা জানে না; তারা কি সমান হতে পারে? চিন্তা-ভাবনা কেবল তারাই করে, যারা বুদ্ধিমান।
Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition. |

আল্লাহ যার বক্ষ ইসলামের জন্যে উম্মুক্ত করে দিয়েছেন, অতঃপর সে তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত আলোর মাঝে রয়েছে। (সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ নয়) যাদের অন্তর আল্লাহ স্মরণের ব্যাপারে কঠোর, তাদের জন্যে দূর্ভোগ। তারা সুস্পষ্ঠ গোমরাহীতে রয়েছে।
Is one whose heart Allah has opened to Islam, so that he has received Enlightenment from Allah, (no better than one hard-hearted)? Woe to those whose hearts are hardened against celebrating the praises of Allah! they are manifestly wandering (in error)! |

যে ব্যক্তি কেয়ামতের দিন তার মুখ দ্বারা অশুভ আযাব ঠেকাবে এবং এরূপ জালেমদেরকে বলা হবে, তোমরা যা করতে তার স্বাদ আস্বাদন কর,-সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ নয়?
Is, then, one who has to fear the brunt of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment (and receive it) on his face, (like one guarded therefrom)? It will be said to the wrong-doers: "Taste ye (the fruits of) what ye earned!" |

আল্লাহ এক দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করেছেনঃ একটি লোকের উপর পরস্পর বিরোধী কয়জন মালিক রয়েছে, আরেক ব্যক্তির প্রভু মাত্র একজন-তাদের উভয়ের অবস্থা কি সমান? সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহর। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
Allah puts forth a Parable a man belonging to many partners at variance with each other, and a man belonging entirely to one master: are those two equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah! but most of them have no knowledge. |

যদি আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করেন, আসমান ও যমীন কে সৃষ্টি করেছে? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে-আল্লাহ। বলুন, তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছ কি, যদি আল্লাহ আমার অনিষ্ট করার ইচ্ছা করেন, তবে তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত যাদেরকে ডাক, তারা কি সে অনিষ্ট দূর করতে পারবে? অথবা তিনি আমার প্রতি রহমত করার ইচ্ছা করলে তারা কি সে রহমত রোধ করতে পারবে? বলুন, আমার পক্ষে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট। নির্ভরকারীরা তাঁরই উপর নির্ভর করে।
If indeed thou ask them who it is that created the heavens and the earth, they would be sure to say, "Allah". Say: "See ye then? the things that ye invoke besides Allah,- can they, if Allah wills some Penalty for me, remove His Penalty?- Or if He wills some Grace for me, can they keep back his Grace?" Say: "Sufficient is Allah for me! In Him trust those who put their trust." |

বলুন, সমস্ত সুপারিশ আল্লাহরই ক্ষমতাধীন, আসমান ও যমীনে তাঁরই সাম্রাজ্য। অতঃপর তাঁরই কাছে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।
Say: "To Allah belongs exclusively (the right to grant) intercession: to Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth: In the End, it is to Him that ye shall be brought back." |

আয়াতঃ ৪৪) |

বলুন, হে আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমীনের স্রষ্টা, দৃশ্য ও অদৃশ্যের জ্ঞানী, আপনিই আপনার বান্দাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করবেন, যে বিষয়ে তারা মত বিরোধ করত।
Say: "O Allah! Creator of the heavens and the earth! Knower of all that is hidden and open! it is Thou that wilt judge between Thy Servants in those matters about which they have differed." |

আসমান ও যমীনের চাবি তাঁরই নিকট। যারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করে, তারাই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত।
To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: and those who reject the Signs of Allah,- it is they who will be in loss. |

তারা আল্লাহকে যথার্থরূপে বোঝেনি। কেয়ামতের দিন গোটা পৃথিবী থাকবে তাঁর হাতের মুঠোতে এবং আসমান সমূহ ভাঁজ করা অবস্থায় থাকবে তাঁর ডান হাতে। তিনি পবিত্র। আর এরা যাকে শরীক করে, তা থেকে তিনি অনেক উর্ধ্বে।
No just estimate have they made of Allah, such as is due to Him: On the Day of Judgment the whole of the earth will be but His handful, and the heavens will be rolled up in His right hand: Glory to Him! High is He above the Partners they attribute to Him! |

শিংগায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে, ফলে আসমান ও যমীনে যারা আছে সবাই বেহুঁশ হয়ে যাবে, তবে আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা করেন। অতঃপর আবার শিংগায় ফুঁক দেয়া হবে, তৎক্ষণাৎ তারা দন্ডায়মান হয়ে দেখতে থাকবে।
The Trumpet will (just) be sounded, when all that are in the heavens and on earth will swoon, except such as it will please Allah (to exempt). Then will a second one be sounded, when, behold, they will be standing and looking on! |

অন্ধ ও চক্ষুষ্মান সমান নয়, আর যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে এবং কুকর্মী। তোমরা অল্পই অনুধাবন করে থাক।
Not equal are the blind and those who (clearly) see: Nor are (equal) those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and those who do evil. Little do ye learn by admonition! |

সমান নয় ভাল ও মন্দ। জওয়াবে তাই বলুন যা উৎকৃষ্ট। তখন দেখবেন আপনার সাথে যে ব্যক্তির শুত্রুতা রয়েছে, সে যেন অন্তরঙ্গ বন্ধু।
Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: Then will he between whom and thee was hatred become as it were thy friend and intimate! |

সমুদ্রে ভাসমান পর্বতসম জাহাজসমূহ তাঁর অন্যতম নিদর্শন।
And among His Signs are the ships, smooth-running through the ocean, (tall) as mountains. |

যারা দুস্কর্ম উপার্জন করেছে তারা কি মনে করে যে, আমি তাদেরকে সে লোকদের মত করে দেব, যারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎকর্ম করে এবং তাদের জীবন ও মুত্যু কি সমান হবে? তাদের দাবী কত মন্দ।
What! Do those who seek after evil ways think that We shall hold them equal with those who believe and do righteous deeds,- that equal will be their life and their death? Ill is the judgment that they make. |

যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত নিদর্শন অনুসরণ করে, সে কি তার সমান, যার কাছে তার মন্দ কর্ম শোভনীয় করা হয়েছে এবং যে তার খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে।
Is then one who is on a clear (Path) from his Lord, no better than one to whom the evil of his conduct seems pleasing, and such as follow their own lusts? |

পরহেযগারদেরকে যে জান্নাতের ওয়াদা দেয়া হয়েছে, তার অবস্থা নিম্নরূপঃ তাতে আছে পানির নহর, নির্মল দুধের নহর যারা স্বাদ অপরিবর্তনীয়, পানকারীদের জন্যে সুস্বাদু শরাবের নহর এবং পরিশোধিত মধুর নহর। তথায় তাদের জন্যে আছে রকমারি ফল-মূল ও তাদের পালনকর্তার ক্ষমা। পরহেযগাররা কি তাদের সমান, যারা জাহান্নামে অনন্তকাল থাকবে এবং যাদেরকে পান করতে দেয়া হবে ফুটন্ত পানি অতঃপর তা তাদের নাড়িভূঁড়ি ছিন্ন বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দেবে?
(Here is) a Parable of the Garden which the righteous are promised: in it are rivers of water incorruptible; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine, a joy to those who drink; and rivers of honey pure and clear. In it there are for them all kinds of fruits; and Grace from their Lord. (Can those in such Bliss) be compared to such as shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels (to pieces)? |

এতে প্রবেশ কর অতঃপর তোমরা সবর কর অথবা না কর, উভয়ই তোমাদের জন্য সমান। তোমরা যা করতে তোমাদেরকে কেবল তারই প্রতিফল দেয়া হবে।
"Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds." |
(আত্ব তূর:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহর পথে ব্যয় করতে কিসে বাধা দেয়, যখন আল্লাহই নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের উত্তরাধিকারী? তোমাদের মধ্যে যে মক্কা বিজয়ের পূর্বে ব্যয় করেছে ও জেহাদ করেছে, সে সমান নয়। এরূপ লোকদের মর্যদা বড় তাদের অপেক্ষা, যার পরে ব্যয় করেছে ও জেহাদ করেছে। তবে আল্লাহ উভয়কে কল্যাণের ওয়াদা দিয়েছেন। তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ সে সম্পর্কে সম্যক জ্ঞাত।
And what cause have ye why ye should not spend in the cause of Allah?- For to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth. Not equal among you are those who spent (freely) and fought, before the Victory, (with those who did so later). Those are higher in rank than those who spent (freely) and fought afterwards. But to all has Allah promised a goodly (reward). And Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. |

জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী এবং জান্নাতের অধিবাসী সমান হতে পারে না। যারা জান্নাতের অধিবাসী, তারাই সফলকাম।
Not equal are the Companions of the Fire and the Companions of the Garden: it is the Companions of the Garden, that will achieve Felicity. |

আপনি তাদের জন্যে ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা করুন অথবা না করুন, উভয়ই সমান। আল্লাহ কখনও তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করবেন না। আল্লাহ পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়কে পথপ্রদর্শন করেন না।
It is equal to them whether thou pray for their forgiveness or not. Allah will not forgive them. Truly Allah guides not rebellious transgressors. |

যাদের সমান শক্তি ও বলবীর্যে সারা বিশ্বের শহরসমূহে কোন লোক সৃজিত হয়নি
The like of which were not produced in (all) the land? |
