মুমিনগণ, তোমরা এহরাম অবস্থায় শিকার বধ করো না। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে জেনেশুনে শিকার বধ করবে, তার উপর বিনিময় ওয়াজেব হবে, যা সমান হবে ঐ জন্তুর, যাকে সে বধ করেছে। দু’জন নির্ভরযোগ্য ব্যক্তি এর ফয়সালা করবে-বিনিময়ের জন্তুটি উৎসর্গ হিসেবে কাবায় পৌছাতে হবে। অথবা তার উপর কাফফারা ওয়াজেব-কয়েকজন দরিদ্রকে খাওয়ানো অথবা তার সমপরিমাণ রোযা রাখতে যাতে সে স্বীয় কৃতকর্মের প্রতিফল আস্বাদন করে। যা হয়ে গেছে, তা আল্লাহ মাফ করেছেন। যে পুনরায় এ কান্ড করবে, আল্লাহ তার কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিবেন। আল্লাহ পরাক্রান্ত, প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণে সক্ষম।
O ye who believe! Kill not game while in the sacred precincts or in pilgrim garb. If any of you doth so intentionally, the compensation is an offering, brought to the Ka'ba, of a domestic animal equivalent to the one he killed, as adjudged by two just men among you; or by way of atonement, the feeding of the indigent; or its equivalent in fasts: that he may taste of the penalty of his deed. Allah forgives what is past: for repetition Allah will exact from him the penalty. For Allah is Exalted, and Lord of Retribution. |

যারা পালনকর্তার আদেশ পালন করে, তাদের জন্য উত্তম প্রতিদান রয়েছে এবং যারা আদেশ পালন করে না, যদি তাদের কাছে জগতের সবকিছু থাকে এবং তার সাথে তার সমপরিমাণ আরও থাকে, তবে সবই নিজেদের মুক্তিপণ স্বরূপ দিয়ে দেবে। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর হিসাব। তাদের আবাস হবে জাহান্নাম। সেটা কতইনা নিকৃষ্ট অবস্থান।
For those who respond to their Lord, are (all) good things. But those who respond not to Him,- Even if they had all that is in the heavens and on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom. For them will the reckoning be terrible: their abode will be Hell,- what a bed of misery! |

অতঃপর আমি তাঁর আহবানে সাড়া দিলাম এবং তাঁর দুঃখকষ্ট দূর করে দিলাম এবং তাঁর পরিবরাবর্গ ফিরিয়ে দিলাম, আর তাদের সাথে তাদের সমপরিমাণ আরও দিলাম আমার পক্ষ থেকে কৃপাবশতঃ আর এটা এবাদত কারীদের জন্যে উপদেশ স্বরূপ।
So We listened to him: We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his people to him, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who serve Us. |

যদি গোনাহগারদের কাছে পৃথিবীর সবকিছু থাকে এবং তার সাথে সমপরিমাণ আরও থাকে, তবে অবশ্যই তারা কেয়ামতের দিন সে সবকিছুই নিস্কৃতি পাওয়ার জন্যে মুক্তিপন হিসেবে দিয়ে দেবে। অথচ তারা দেখতে পাবে, আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে এমন শাস্তি, যা তারা কল্পনাও করত না।
Even if the wrong-doers had all that there is on earth, and as much more, (in vain) would they offer it for ransom from the pain of the Penalty on the Day of Judgment: but something will confront them from Allah, which they could never have counted upon! |

তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের মধ্যে যদি কেউ হাতছাড়া হয়ে কাফেরদের কাছে থেকে যায়, অতঃপর তোমরা সুযোগ পাও, তখন যাদের স্ত্রী হাতছাড়া হয়ে গেছে, তাদেরকে তাদের ব্যয়কৃত অর্থের সমপরিমাণ অর্থ প্রদান কর এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় কর, যার প্রতি তোমরা বিশ্বাস রাখ।
And if any of your wives deserts you to the Unbelievers, and ye have an accession (by the coming over of a woman from the other side), then pay to those whose wives have deserted the equivalent of what they had spent (on their dower). And fear Allah, in Whom ye believe. |
