তিনি বললেন, হে আদম, ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলে দাও এসবের নাম। তারপর যখন তিনি বলে দিলেন সে সবের নাম, তখন তিনি বললেন, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলিনি যে, আমি আসমান ও যমীনের যাবতীয় গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কে খুব ভাল করেই অবগত রয়েছি? এবং সেসব বিষয়ও জানি যা তোমরা প্রকাশ কর, আর যা তোমরা গোপন কর!
He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" |

বলুন, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এসবের চাইতেও উত্তম বিষয়ের সন্ধান বলবো?-যারা পরহেযগার, আল্লাহর নিকট তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে বেহেশত, যার তলদেশে প্রস্রবণ প্রবাহিত-তারা সেখানে থাকবে অনন্তকাল। আর রয়েছে পরিচ্ছন্ন সঙ্গিনীগণ এবং আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি। আর আল্লাহ তাঁর বান্দাদের প্রতি সুদৃষ্টি রাখেন।
Say: Shall I give you glad tidings of things Far better than those? For the righteous are Gardens in nearness to their Lord, with rivers flowing beneath; therein is their eternal home; with companions pure (and holy); and the good pleasure of Allah. For in Allah's sight are (all) His servants,- |

পিতা-মাতা এবং নিকটাত্নীয়গণ যা ত্যাগ করে যান সেসবের জন্যই আমি উত্তরাধিকারী নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছি। আর যাদের সাথে তোমরা অঙ্গীকারাবদ্ধ হয়েছ তাদের প্রাপ্য দিয়ে দাও। আল্লাহ তা’আলা নিঃসন্দেহে সব কিছুই প্রত্যক্ষ করেন।
To (benefit) every one, We have appointed shares and heirs to property left by parents and relatives. To those, also, to whom your right hand was pledged, give their due portion. For truly Allah is witness to all things. |

তিনিই উদ্যান সমূহ সৃষ্টি করেছে-তাও, যা মাচার উপর তুলে দেয়া হয়, এবং যা মাচার উপর তোলা হয় না এবং খর্জুর বৃক্ষ ও শস্যক্ষেত্র যেসবের স্বাদবিশিষ্ট এবং যয়তুন ও আনার সৃষ্টি করেছেন-একে অন্যের সাদৃশ্যশীল এবং সাদৃশ্যহীন। এগুলোর ফল খাও, যখন ফলন্ত হয় এবং হক দান কর কর্তনের সময়ে এবং অপব্যয় করো না। নিশ্চয় তিনি অপব্যয়ীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন না।
It is He Who produceth gardens, with trellises and without, and dates, and tilth with produce of all kinds, and olives and pomegranates, similar (in kind) and different (in variety): eat of their fruit in their season, but render the dues that are proper on the day that the harvest is gathered. But waste not by excess: for Allah loveth not the wasters. |

এই হলো সে সবের বিনিময় যা তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্বে পাঠিয়েছ নিজের হাতে। বস্তুতঃ এটি এ জন্য যে, আল্লাহ বান্দার উপর যুলুম করেন না।
"Because of (the deeds) which your (own) hands sent forth; for Allah is never unjust to His servants: |

আর বিস্মিত হয়ো না তাদের ধন সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্তুতির দরুন। আল্লাহ তো এই চান যে, এ সবের কারণে তাদেরকে আযাবের ভেতরে রাখবেন দুনিয়ায় এবং তাদের প্রাণ নির্গত হওয়া পর্যন্ত যেন তারা কাফেরই থাকে।
Nor let their wealth nor their (following in) sons dazzle thee: Allah's plan is to punish them with these things in this world, and that their souls may perish in their (very) denial of Allah. |

এমন লোকদের ঠিকানা হল আগুন সেসবের বদলা হিসাবে যা তারা অর্জন করছিল।
Their abode is the Fire, because of the (evil) they earned. |
(ইউনুস:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 8 |
অতএব, তারা যেসবের উপাসনা করে তুমি সে ব্যাপারে কোনরূপ ধোঁকায় পড়বে না। তাদের পূর্ববর্তী বাপ-দাদারা যেমন পূজা উপাসনা করত, এরাও তেমন করছে। আর নিশ্চয় আমি তাদেরকে আযাবের ভাগ কিছু মাত্রও কম না করেই পুরোপুরি দান করবো।
Be not then in doubt as to what these men worship. They worship nothing but what their fathers worshipped before (them): but verily We shall pay them back (in full) their portion without (the least) abatement. |

অনেক নিদর্শন রয়েছে নভোমন্ডলে ও ভু-মন্ডলে যেগুলোর উপর দিয়ে তারা পথ অতিক্রম করে এবং তারা এসবের দিকে মনোনিবেশ করে না।
And how many Signs in the heavens and the earth do they pass by? Yet they turn (their faces) away from them! |

অনন্তর যারা অজ্ঞতাবশতঃ মন্দ কাজ করে, অতঃপর তওবা করে এবং নিজেকে সংশোধন করে নেয়, আপনার পালনকর্তা এসবের পরে তাদের জন্যে অবশ্যই ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু।
But verily thy Lord,- to those who do wrong in ignorance, but who thereafter repent and make amends,- thy Lord, after all this, is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(নাহল:

এ সবের মধ্যে যেগুলো মন্দকাজ, সেগুলো তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে অপছন্দনীয়।
Of all such things the evil is hateful in the sight of thy Lord. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |

মূসা বললঃ তোমাদের ওয়াদার দিন উৎসবের দিন এবং পূর্বাহেߠলোকজন সমবেত হবে।
Moses said: "Your tryst is the Day of the Festival, and let the people be assembled when the sun is well up." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯) |

এরূপই হয়েছিল এবং বনী-ইসলাঈলকে করে দিলাম এসবের মালিক।
Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. |
(আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯) |
| 14 |
আল্লাহ সপ্তাকাশ সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং পৃথিবীও সেই পরিমাণে, এসবের মধ্যে তাঁর আদেশ অবতীর্ণ হয়, যাতে তোমরা জানতে পার যে, আল্লাহ সর্বশক্তিমান এবং সবকিছু তাঁর গোচরীভূত।
Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. Through the midst of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah comprehends, all things in (His) Knowledge. |
