মূসার পরে তুমি কি বনী ইসরাঈলের একটি দলকে দেখনি, যখন তারা বলেছে নিজেদের নবীর কাছে যে, আমাদের জন্য একজন বাদশাহ নির্ধারিত করে দিন যাতে আমরা আল্লাহর পথে যুদ্ধ করতে পারি। নবী বললেন, তোমাদের প্রতিও কি এমন ধারণা করা যায় যে, লড়াইর হুকুম যদি হয়, তাহলে তখন তোমরা লড়বে না? তারা বলল, আমাদের কি হয়েছে যে, আমরা আল্লাহর পথে লড়াই করব না। অথচ আমরা বিতাড়িত হয়েছি নিজেদের ঘর-বাড়ী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি থেকে। অতঃপর যখন লড়াইয়ের নির্দেশ হলো, তখন সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া তাদের সবাই ঘুরে দাঁড়ালো। আর আল্লাহ তা’আলা জালেমদের ভাল করেই জানেন।
Hast thou not Turned thy vision to the Chiefs of the Children of Israel after (the time of) Moses? they said to a prophet (That was) among them: "Appoint for us a king, that we May fight in the cause of Allah." He said: "Is it not possible, if ye were commanded to fight, that that ye will not fight?" They said: "How could we refuse to fight in the cause of Allah, seeing that we were turned out of our homes and our families?" but when they were commanded to fight, they turned back, except a small band among them. But Allah Has full knowledge of those who do wrong. |

তোমাদের কেউ পছন্দ করে যে, তার একটি খেজুর ও আঙ্গুরের বাগান হবে, এর তলদেশ দিয়ে নহর প্রবাহিত হবে, আর এতে সর্বপ্রকার ফল-ফসল থাকবে এবং সে বার্ধক্যে পৌছবে, তার দুর্বল সন্তান সন্ততিও থাকবে, এমতাবস্থায় এ বাগানের একটি ঘূর্ণিবায়ু আসবে, যাতে আগুন রয়েছে, অনন্তর বাগানটি ভষ্মীভূত হয়ে যাবে? এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ তা’আলা তোমাদের জন্যে নিদর্শনসমূহ বর্ননা করেন-যাতে তোমরা চিন্তা-ভাবনা কর।
Does any of you wish that he should have a garden with date-palms and vines and streams flowing underneath, and all kinds of fruit, while he is stricken with old age, and his children are not strong (enough to look after themselves)- that it should be caught in a whirlwind, with fire therein, and be burnt up? Thus doth Allah make clear to you (His) Signs; that ye may consider. |

যারা কুফুরী করে, তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি আল্লাহর সামনে কখনও কাজে আসবে না। আর তারাই হচ্ছে দোযখের ইন্ধন।
Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They are themselves but fuel for the Fire. |

মানবকূলকে মোহগ্রস্ত করেছে নারী, সন্তান-সন্ততি, রাশিকৃত স্বর্ণ-রৌপ্য, চিহ্নিত অশ্ব, গবাদি পশুরাজি এবং ক্ষেত-খামারের মত আকর্ষণীয় বস্তুসামগ্রী। এসবই হচ্ছে পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ্য বস্তু। আল্লাহর নিকটই হলো উত্তম আশ্রয়।
Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (To return to). |

নিশ্চয় যারা কাফের হয়, তাদের ধন সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি আল্লাহর সামনে কখনও কোন কাজে আসবে না। আর তারাই হলো দোযখের আগুনের অধিবাসী। তারা সে আগুনে চিরকাল থাকবে।
Those who reject Faith,- neither their possessions nor their (numerous) progeny will avail them aught against Allah: They will be companions of the Fire,-dwelling therein (for ever). |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬) |

তাদের ভয় করা উচিত, যারা নিজেদের পশ্চাতে দুর্বল অক্ষম সন্তান-সন্ততি ছেড়ে গেলে তাদের জন্যে তারাও আশঙ্কা করে; সুতরাং তারা যেন আল্লাহকে ভয় করে এবং সংগত কথা বলে।
Let those (disposing of an estate) have the same fear in their minds as they would have for their own if they had left a helpless family behind: Let them fear Allah, and speak words of appropriate (comfort). |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |

হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! তোমরা দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে বাড়াবাড়ি করো না এবং আল্লাহর শানে নিতান্ত সঙ্গত বিষয় ছাড়া কোন কথা বলো না। নিঃসন্দেহে মরিয়ম পুত্র মসীহ ঈসা আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর বাণী যা তিনি প্রেরণ করেছেন মরিয়মের নিকট এবং রূহ-তাঁরই কাছ থেকে আগত। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে এবং তার রসূলগণকে মান্য কর। আর একথা বলো না যে, আল্লাহ তিনের এক, একথা পরিহার কর; তোমাদের মঙ্গল হবে। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ একক উপাস্য। সন্তান-সন্ততি হওয়াটা তাঁর যোগ্য বিষয় নয়। যা কিছু আসমান সমূহ ও যমীনে রয়েছে সবই তার। আর কর্মবিধানে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট।
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. |

আয়াতঃ ১৭১) |

আর ও তাদের কিছু সংখ্যক পিতৃপুরুষ, সন্তান-সন্ততি ও ভ্রাতাদেরকে; আমি তাদেরকে মনোনীত করেছি এবং সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেছি।
(To them) and to their fathers, and progeny and brethren: We chose them, and we guided them to a straight way. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৮৭) |

অথবা বলতে শুরু কর যে, অংশীদারিত্বের প্রথা তো আমাদের বাপ-দাদারা উদ্ভাবন করেছিল আমাদের পূর্বেই। আর আমরা হলাম তাদের পশ্চাৎবর্তী সন্তান-সন্ততি। তাহলে কি সে কর্মের জন্য আমাদেরকে ধ্বংস করবেন, যা পথভ্রষ্টরা করেছে?
Or lest ye should say: "Our fathers before us may have taken false gods, but we are (their) descendants after them: wilt Thou then destroy us because of the deeds of men who were futile?" |

আয়াতঃ ১৭৩) |

আর জেনে রাখ, তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি অকল্যাণের সম্মুখীনকারী। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহর নিকট রয়েছে মহা সওয়াব।
And know ye that your possessions and your progeny are but a trial; and that it is Allah with Whom lies your highest reward. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |

সুতরাং তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি যেন আপনাকে বিস্মিত না করে। আল্লাহর ইচ্ছা হল এগুলো দ্বারা দুনিয়ার জীবনে তাদের আযাবে নিপতিত রাখা এবং প্রাণবিয়োগ হওয়া কুফরী অবস্থায়।
Let not their wealth nor their (following in) sons dazzle thee: in reality Allah's plan is to punish them with these things in this life, and that their souls may perish in their (very) denial of Allah. |
(আত তাওবাহ:

যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী লোকেরা তোমাদের চেয়ে বেশী ছিল শক্তিতে এবং ধন-সম্পদের ও সন্তান-সন্ততির অধিকারীও ছিল বেশী; অতঃপর উপকৃত হয়েছে নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা আবার তোমরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছ তোমাদের ভাগের দ্বারা-যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছিল নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা। আর তোমরাও বলছ তাদেরই চলন অনুযায়ী। তারা ছিল সে লোক, যাদের আমলসমূহ নিঃশেষিত হয়ে গেছে দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে। আর তারাই হয়েছে ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন।
As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good). |

আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |
| 13 |
আপনার পূর্বে আমি অনেক রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি এবং তাঁদেরকে পত্নী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি দিয়েছি। কোন রসূলের এমন সাধ্য ছিল না যে আল্লাহর নির্দেশ ছাড়া কোন নিদর্শন উপস্থিত করে। প্রত্যেকটি ওয়াদা লিখিত আছে।
We did send messengers before thee, and appointed for them wives and children: and it was never the part of a messenger to bring a sign except as Allah permitted (or commanded). For each period is a Book (revealed). |

আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |
| 14 |
যখন ইব্রাহীম বললেনঃ হে পালনকর্তা, এ শহরকে শান্তিময় করে দিন এবং আমাকে ও আমার সন্তান সন্ততিকে মূর্তি পূজা থেকে দূরে রাখুন।
Remember Abraham said: "O my Lord! make this city one of peace and security: and preserve me and my sons from worshipping idols. |
(ইব্রাহীম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |
| 15 |
তুই সত্যচ্যুত করে তাদের মধ্য থেকে যাকে পারিস স্বীয় আওয়ায দ্বারা, স্বীয় অশ্বারোহী ও পদাতিক বাহিনী নিয়ে তাদেরকে আক্রমণ কর, তাদের অর্থ-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততিতে শরীক হয়ে যা এবং তাদেরকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দে। ছলনা ছাড়া শয়তান তাদেরকে কোন প্রতিশ্রুতি দেয় না।
"Lead to destruction those whom thou canst among them, with thy (seductive) voice; make assaults on them with thy cavalry and thy infantry; mutually share with them wealth and children; and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |

ধনৈশ্বর্য ও সন্তান-সন্ততি পার্থিব জীবনের সৌন্দর্য এবং স্থায়ী সৎকর্মসমূহ আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে প্রতিদান প্রাপ্তি ও আশা লাভের জন্যে উত্তম।
Wealth and sons are allurements of the life of this world: But the things that endure, good deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best as (the foundation for) hopes. |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৪৬) |
| 17 |
আপনি কি তাকে লক্ষ্য করেছেন যে, আমার নিদর্শনাবলীতে বিশ্বাস করে না এবং বলেঃ আমাকে অর্থ-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি অবশ্যই দেয়া হবে।
Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" |
(মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |
| 18 |
তারা কি মনে করে যে, আমি তাদেরকে ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি দিয়ে যাচ্ছি।
Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |
| 19 |
তোমাদের সন্তান-সন্ততিরা যখন বায়োপ্রাপ্ত হয়, তারাও যেন তাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের ন্যায় অনুমতি চায়। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ তাঁর আয়াতসমূহ তোমাদের কাছে বর্ণনা করেন। আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
But when the children among you come of age, let them (also) ask for permission, as do those senior to them (in age): Thus does Allah make clear His Signs to you: for Allah is full of knowledge and wisdom. |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯) |
| 20 |
যে দিবসে ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান সন্ততি কোন উপকারে আসবে না;
"The Day whereon neither wealth nor sons will avail, |
(আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ৮৮) |
| 21 |
তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তোমাদেরকে আমার নিকটবর্তী করবে না। তবে যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে, তারা তাদের কর্মের বহুগুণ প্রতিদান পাবে এবং তারা সুউচ্চ প্রাসাদে নিরাপদে থাকবে।
It is not your wealth nor your sons, that will bring you nearer to Us in degree: but only those who believe and work righteousness - these are the ones for whom there is a multiplied Reward for their deeds, while secure they (reside) in the dwellings on high! |

আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |
| 22 |
তাদের জন্যে একটি নিদর্শন এই যে, আমি তাদের সন্তান-সন্ততিকে বোঝাই নৌকায় আরোহণ করিয়েছি।
And a Sign for them is that We bore their race (through the Flood) in the loaded Ark; |

আয়াতঃ ৪১) |
| 23 |
আল্লাহর কবল থেকে তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তাদেরকে মোটেই বাঁচাতে পারবেনা। তারাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।
Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons: they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)! |
(আল মুজাদালাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 24 |
তোমাদের স্বজন-পরিজন ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কিয়ামতের দিন কোন উপকারে আসবে না। তিনি তোমাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করবেন। তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ তা দেখেন।
Of no profit to you will be your relatives and your children on the Day of Judgment: He will judge between you: for Allah sees well all that ye do. |
(আল মুমতাহিনা:
আয়াতঃ ৩) |
| 25 |
মুমিনগণ! তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি যেন তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহর স্মরণ থেকে গাফেল না করে। যারা এ কারণে গাফেল হয়, তারাই তো ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত।
O ye who believe! Let not your riches or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. If any act thus, the loss is their own. |
(মুনাফিকুন:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 26 |
হে মুমিনগণ, তোমাদের কোন কোন স্ত্রী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তোমাদের দুশমন। অতএব তাদের ব্যাপারে সতর্ক থাক। যদি মার্জনা কর, উপেক্ষা কর, এবং ক্ষমা কর, তবে আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুনাময়।
O ye who believe! Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |
(আত-তাগাবুন:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 27 |
তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তো কেবল পরীক্ষাস্বরূপ। আর আল্লাহর কাছে রয়েছে মহাপুরস্কার।
Your riches and your children may be but a trial: but in the Presence of Allah, is the highest, Reward. |
(আত-তাগাবুন:
আয়াতঃ ১৫) |

এ কারণে যে, সে ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান সন্ততির অধিকারী।
Because he possesses wealth and (numerous) sons. |
(আল কলম:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |
| 29 |
যদিও একে অপরকে দেখতে পাবে। সেদিন গোনাহগার ব্যক্তি পনস্বরূপ দিতে চাইবে তার সন্তান-সন্ততিকে,
Though they will be put in sight of each other,- the sinner's desire will be: Would that he could redeem himself from the Penalty of that Day by (sacrificing) his children, |
(আল মা'আরিজ:
আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 30 |
তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি বাড়িয়ে দিবেন, তোমাদের জন্যে উদ্যান স্থাপন করবেন এবং তোমাদের জন্যে নদীনালা প্রবাহিত করবেন।
"'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). |
(নূহ:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 31 |
নূহ বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার সম্প্রদায় আমাকে অমান্য করেছে আর অনুসরণ করছে এমন লোককে, যার ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কেবল তার ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করছে।
Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss. |
(নূহ:
