অতঃপর যদি তোমাদের কারো ব্যাপারে ভয় থাকে, তাহলে পদচারী অবস্থাতেই পড়ে নাও অথবা সওয়ারীর উপরে। তারপর যখন তোমরা নিরাপত্তা পাবে, তখন আল্লাহকে স্মরণ কর, যেভাবে তোমাদের শেখানো হয়েছে, যা তোমরা ইতিপূর্বে জানতে না।
If ye fear (an enemy), pray on foot, or riding, (as may be most convenient), but when ye are in security, celebrate Allah's praises in the manner He has taught you, which ye knew not (before). |

তারা যখন পিতার কথামত প্রবেশ করল, তখন আল্লাহর বিধানের বিরুদ্ধে তা তাদের বাঁচাতে পারল না। কিন্তু ইয়াকুবের সিদ্ধান্তে তাঁর মনের একটি বাসনা ছিল, যা তিনি পূর্ণ করেছেন। এবং তিনি তো আমার শেখানো বিষয় অবগত ছিলেন। কিন্তু অনেক মানুষ অবগত নয়।
And when they entered in the manner their father had enjoined, it did not profit them in the least against (the plan of) Allah: It was but a necessity of Jacob's soul, which he discharged. For he was, by our instruction, full of knowledge (and experience): but most men know not. |

মূসা তাঁকে বললেনঃ আমি কি এ শর্তে আপনার অনুসরণ করতে পারি যে, সত্যপথের যে জ্ঞান আপনাকে শেখানো হয়েছে, তা থেকে আমাকে কিছু শিক্ষা দেবেন?
Moses said to him: "May I follow thee, on the footing that thou teach me something of the (Higher) Truth which thou hast been taught?" |

তারা বলে, এগুলো তো পুরাকালের রূপকথা, যা তিনি লিখে রেখেছেন। এগুলো সকাল-সন্ধ্যায় তাঁর কাছে শেখানো হয়।
And they say: "Tales of the ancients, which he has caused to be written: and they are dictated before him morning and evening." |
