অতঃপর জালেমদের মূল শিকড় কর্তিত হল। সমস্ত প্রশংসা আল্লাহরই জন্যে, যিনি বিশ্বজগতের পালনকর্তা।
Of the wrong-doers the last remnant was cut off. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher of the worlds. |

এ হচ্ছে কয়েকটি জনপদের সামান্য ইতিবৃত্ত, যা আমি আপনাকে শোনাচ্ছি। তন্মধ্যে কোন কোনটি এখনও বর্তমান আছে আর কোন কোনটির শিকড় কেটে দেয়া হয়েছে।
These are some of the stories of communities which We relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down (by the sickle of time). |

তুমি কি লক্ষ্য কর না, আল্লাহ তা’আলা কেমন উপমা বর্ণনা করেছেনঃ পবিত্র বাক্য হলো পবিত্র বৃক্ষের মত। তার শিকড় মজবুত এবং শাখা আকাশে উত্থিত।
Seest thou not how Allah sets forth a parable? - A goodly word like a goodly tree, whose root is firmly fixed, and its branches (reach) to the heavens,- of its Lord. So Allah sets forth parables for men, in order that they may receive admonition. |
