তারা সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা হেদায়েতের বিনিময়ে গোমরাহী খরিদ করে। বস্তুতঃ তারা তাদের এ ব্যবসায় লাভবান হতে পারেনি এবং তারা হেদায়েতও লাভ করতে পারেনি।
These are they who have bartered Guidance for error: But their traffic is profitless, and they have lost true direction, |
(আল বাকারা:

তারা সে সমস্ত লোক, যাদের প্রতি আল্লাহর অফুরন্ত অনুগ্রহ ও রহমত রয়েছে এবং এসব লোকই হেদায়েত প্রাপ্ত।
They are those on whom (Descend) blessings from Allah, and Mercy, and they are the ones that receive guidance. |

এরাই হল সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা হেদায়েতের বিনিময়ে গোমরাহী খরিদ করেছে এবং (খরিদ করেছে) ক্ষমা ও অনুগ্রহের বিনিময়ে আযাব। অতএব, তারা দোযখের উপর কেমন ধৈর্য্য ধারণকারী।
They are the ones who buy Error in place of Guidance and Torment in place of Forgiveness. Ah! what boldness (They show) for the Fire! |
(আল বাকারা:
আয়াতঃ ১৭৫) |

ওরা হলো যে সব লোক, যারা বসে থেকে নিজেদের ভাইদের সম্বদ্ধে বলে, যদি তারা আমাদের কথা শুনত, তবে নিহত হত না। তাদেরকে বলে দিন, এবার তোমাদের নিজেদের উপর থেকে মৃত্যুকে সরিয়ে দাও, যদি তোমরা সত্যবাদী হয়ে থাক।
(They are) the ones that say, (of their brethren slain), while they themselves sit (at ease): "If only they had listened to us they would not have been slain." Say: "Avert death from your own selves, if ye speak the truth." |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৬৮) |

সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা বলে যে, আল্লাহ আমাদিগকে এমন কোন রসূলের ওপর বিশ্বাস না করতে বলে রেখেছেন যতক্ষণ না তারা আমাদের নিকট এমন কোরবানী নিয়ে আসবেন যাকে আগুন গ্রাস করে নেবে। তুমি তাদের বলে দাও, তোমাদের মাঝে আমার পূর্বে বহু রসূল নিদর্শনসমূহ এবং তোমরা যা আব্দার করেছ তা নিয়ে এসেছিলেন, তখন তোমরা কেন তাদেরকে হত্যা করলে যদি তোমরা সত্য হয়ে থাক।
They (also) said: "Allah took our promise not to believe in an messenger unless He showed us a sacrifice consumed by Fire (From heaven)." Say: "There came to you messengers before me, with clear Signs and even with what ye ask for: why then did ye slay them, if ye speak the truth?" |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৮৩) |

সেদিন কামনা করবে সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা কাফের হয়েছিল এবং রসূলের নাফরমানী করেছিল, যেন যমীনের সাথে মিশে যায়। কিন্তু গোপন করতে পারবে না আল্লাহর নিকট কোন বিষয়।
On that day those who reject Faith and disobey the messenger will wish that the earth Were made one with them: But never will they hide a single fact from Allah! |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৪২) |

এরা হলো সে সমস্ত লোক, যাদের উপর লা’নত করেছেন আল্লাহ তা’আলা স্বয়ং। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ যার উপর লা’নত করেন তুমি তার কোন সাহায্যকারী খুঁজে পাবে না।
They are (men) whom Allah hath cursed: And those whom Allah Hath cursed, thou wilt find, have no one to help. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৫২) |

এরা হলো সে সমস্ত লোক, যাদের মনের গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কেও আল্লাহ তা’আলা অবগত। অতএব, আপনি ওদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন এবং ওদেরকে সদুপদেশ দিয়ে এমন কোন কথা বলুন যা তাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর।
Those men,-Allah knows what is in their hearts; so keep clear of them, but admonish them, and speak to them a word to reach their very souls. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৬৩) |

মুসলমানরা বলবেঃ এরাই কি সেসব লোক, যারা আল্লাহর নামে প্রতিজ্ঞা করত যে, আমরা তোমাদের সাথে আছি? তাদের কৃতকর্মসমূহ বিফল হয়ে গেছে, ফলে তারা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়ে আছে।
And those who believe will say: "Are these the men who swore their strongest oaths by Allah, that they were with you?" All that they do will be in vain, and they will fall into (nothing but) ruin. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৫৩) |

সেসমস্ত লোক, যারা আনুগত্য অবলম্বন করে এ রসূলের, যিনি উম্মী নবী, যাঁর সম্পর্কে তারা নিজেদের কাছে রক্ষিত তওরাত ও ইঞ্জিলে লেখা দেখতে পায়, তিনি তাদেরকে নির্দেশ দেন সৎকর্মের, বারণ করেন অসৎকর্ম থেকে; তাদের জন্য যাবতীয় পবিত্র বস্তু হালাল ঘোষনা করেন ও নিষিদ্ধ করেন হারাম বস্তুসমূহ এবং তাদের উপর থেকে সে বোঝা নামিয়ে দেন এবং বন্দীত্ব অপসারণ করেন যা তাদের উপর বিদ্যমান ছিল। সুতরাং যেসব লোক তাঁর উপর ঈমান এনেছে, তাঁর সাহচর্য অবলম্বন করেছে, তাঁকে সাহায্য করেছে এবং সে নূরের অনুসরণ করেছে যা তার সাথে অবতীর্ণ করা হয়েছে, শুধুমাত্র তারাই নিজেদের উদ্দেশ্য সফলতা অর্জন করতে পেরেছে।
"Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper." |

আয়াতঃ ১৫৭) |

হে নবী, আপনি মুসলমানগণকে উৎসাহিত করুন জেহাদের জন্য। তোমাদের মধ্যে যদি বিশ জন দৃঢ়পদ ব্যক্তি থাকে, তবে জয়ী হবে দু’শর মোকাবেলায়। আর যদি তোমাদের মধ্যে থাকে একশ লোক, তবে জয়ী হবে হাজার কাফেরের উপর থেকে তার কারণ ওরা জ্ঞানহীন।
O Prophet! rouse the Believers to the fight. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers: for these are a people without understanding. |
(আল-আনফাল:

যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তী লোকেরা তোমাদের চেয়ে বেশী ছিল শক্তিতে এবং ধন-সম্পদের ও সন্তান-সন্ততির অধিকারীও ছিল বেশী; অতঃপর উপকৃত হয়েছে নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা আবার তোমরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছ তোমাদের ভাগের দ্বারা-যেমন করে তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীরা ফায়দা উঠিয়েছিল নিজেদের ভাগের দ্বারা। আর তোমরাও বলছ তাদেরই চলন অনুযায়ী। তারা ছিল সে লোক, যাদের আমলসমূহ নিঃশেষিত হয়ে গেছে দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে। আর তারাই হয়েছে ক্ষতির সম্মুখীন।
As in the case of those before you: they were mightier than you in power, and more flourishing in wealth and children. They had their enjoyment of their portion: and ye have of yours, as did those before you; and ye indulge in idle talk as they did. They!- their work are fruitless in this world and in the Hereafter, and they will lose (all spiritual good). |

| 13 |
তুমি কখনো সেখানে দাড়াবে না, তবে যে মসজিদের ভিত্তি রাখা হয়েছে তাকওয়ার উপর প্রথম দিন থেকে, সেটিই তোমার দাঁড়াবার যোগ্য স্থান। সেখানে রয়েছে এমন লোক, যারা পবিত্রতাকে ভালবাসে। আর আল্লাহ পবিত্র লোকদের ভালবাসেন।
Never stand thou forth therein. There is a mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety; it is more worthy of the standing forth (for prayer) therein. In it are men who love to be purified; and Allah loveth those who make themselves pure. |

আর তাদের চেয়ে বড় যালেম কে হতে পারে, যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করে। এসব লোককে তাদের পালনকর্তার সাক্ষাত সম্মূখীন করা হবে আর সাক্ষিগণ বলতে থাকবে, এরাই ঐসব লোক, যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল। শুনে রাখ, যালেমদের উপর আল্লাহর অভিসম্পাত রয়েছে।
Who doth more wrong than those who invent a life against Allah? They will be turned back to the presence of their Lord, and the witnesses will say, "These are the ones who lied against their Lord! Behold! the Curse of Allah is on those who do wrong!- |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 15 |
এরা সে লোক, যারা নিজেরাই নিজেদেরকে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত করেছে, আর এরা যা কিছু মিথ্যা মা’বুদ সাব্যস্ত করেছিল, তা সবই তাদের থেকে হারিয়ে গেছে।
They are the ones who have lost their own souls: and the (fancies) they invented have left them in the lurch! |
(হুদ:

| 16 |
এরা এমন লোক, যারা আল্লাহর প্রতিশ্রুতি পূর্ণ করে এবং অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গ করে না।
Those who fulfil the covenant of Allah and fail not in their plighted word; |
(রা'দ:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 17 |
তারাই সে লোক, যাদের প্রচেষ্টা পার্থিবজীবনে বিভ্রান্ত হয়, অথচ তারা মনে করে যে, তারা সৎকর্ম করেছে।
"Those whose efforts have been wasted in this life, while they thought that they were acquiring good by their works?" |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৪) |
| 18 |
তারাই সে লোক, যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার নিদর্শনাবলী এবং তাঁর সাথে সাক্ষাতের বিষয় অস্বীকার করে। ফলে তাদের কর্ম নিষ্ফল হয়ে যায়। সুতরাং কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের জন্য আমি কোন গুরুত্ব স্থির করব না।
They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight. |

বামপার্শ্বস্থ লোক, কত না হতভাগা তারা।
The Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? |
