আর যখন আমি মূসার সাথে ওয়াদা করেছি চল্লিশ রাত্রির অতঃপর তোমরা গোবৎস বানিয়ে নিয়েছ মূসার অনুপস্থিতিতে। বস্তুতঃ তোমরা ছিলে যালেম।
And remember We appointed forty nights for Moses, and in his absence ye took the calf (for worship), and ye did grievous wrong. |

যারা স্বীয় ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় করে, রাত্রে ও দিনে, গোপনে ও প্রকাশ্যে। তাদের জন্যে তাদের সওয়াব রয়েছে তাদের পালনকর্তার কাছে। তাদের কোন আশংঙ্কা নেই এবং তারা চিন্তিত ও হবে না।
Those who (in charity) spend of their goods by night and by day, in secret and in public, have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. |

নিশ্চয় আসমান ও যমীন সৃষ্টিতে এবং রাত্রি ও দিনের আবর্তনে নিদর্শন রয়েছে বোধ সম্পন্ন লোকদের জন্যে।
Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of night and day,- there are indeed Signs for men of understanding,- |

তারা মানুষের কাছে লজ্জিত হয় এবং আল্লাহর কাছে লজ্জিত হয় না। তিনি তাদের সাথে রয়েছেন, যখন তারা রাত্রে এমন বিষয়ে পরামর্শ করে, যাতে আল্লাহ সম্মত নন। তারা যাকিছু করে, সবই আল্লাহর আয়ত্তাধীণ।
They may hide (Their crimes) from men, but they cannot hide (Them) from Allah, seeing that He is in their midst when they plot by night, in words that He cannot approve: And Allah Doth compass round all that they do. |

তিনিই রাত্রি বেলায় তোমাদেরকে করায়ত্ত করে নেন এবং যা কিছু তোমরা দিনের বেলায় কর, তা জানেন। অতঃপর তোমাদেরকে দিবসে সম্মুখিত করেন-যাতে নির্দিষ্ট ওয়াদা পূর্ণ হয়।
It is He who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day: by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; In the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did. |

তিনি প্রভাত রশ্মির উন্মেষক। তিনি রাত্রিকে আরামদায়ক করেছেন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে হিসেবের জন্য রেখেছেন। এটি পরাক্রান্ত, মহাজ্ঞানীর নির্ধারণ।
He it is that cleaveth the day-break (from the dark): He makes the night for rest and tranquillity, and the sun and moon for the reckoning (of time): Such is the judgment and ordering of (Him), the Exalted in Power, the Omniscient. |

আর তোমরা অল্পই উপদেশ গ্রহণ কর। অনেক জনপদকে আমি ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি। তাদের কাছে আমার আযাব রাত্রি বেলায় পৌছেছে অথবা দ্বিপ্রহরে বিশ্রামরত অবস্থায়।
How many towns have We destroyed (for their sins)? Our punishment took them on a sudden by night or while they slept for their afternoon rest. |

আর আমি মূসাকে প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছি ত্রিশ রাত্রির এবং সেগুলোকে পূর্ন করেছি আরো দশ দ্বারা। বস্তুতঃ এভাবে চল্লিশ রাতের মেয়াদ পূর্ণ হয়ে গেছে। আর মূসা তাঁর ভাই হারুনকে বললেন, আমার সম্প্রদায়ে তুমি আমার প্রতিনিধি হিসাবে থাক। তাদের সংশোধন করতে থাক এবং হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টিকারীদের পথে চলো না।
We appointed for Moses thirty nights, and completed (the period) with ten (more): thus was completed the term (of communion) with his Lord, forty nights. And Moses had charged his brother Aaron (before he went up): "Act for me amongst my people: Do right, and follow not the way of those who do mischief." |

পার্থিব জীবনের উদাহরণ তেমনি, যেমনি আমি আসমান থেকে পানি বর্ষন করলাম, পরে তা মিলিত সংমিশ্রিত হয়ে তা থেকে যমীনের শ্যামল উদ্ভিদ বেরিয়ে এল যা মানুষ ও জীব-জন্তুরা খেয়ে থাকে। এমনকি যমীন যখন সৌন্দর্য সুষমায় ভরে উঠলো আর যমীনের অধিকর্তারা ভাবতে লাগল, এগুলো আমাদের হাতে আসবে, হঠাৎ করে তার উপর আমার নির্দেশ এল রাত্রে কিংবা দিনে, তখন সেগুলোকে কেটে স্তুপাকার করে দিল যেন কাল ও এখানে কোন আবাদ ছিল না। এমনিভাবে আমি খোলাখুলি বর্ণনা করে থাকি নিদর্শণসমূহ সে সমস্ত লোকদের জন্য যারা লক্ষ্য করে।
The likeness of the life of the present is as the rain which We send down from the skies: by its mingling arises the produce of the earth- which provides food for men and animals: (It grows) till the earth is clad with its golden ornaments and is decked out (in beauty): the people to whom it belongs think they have all powers of disposal over it: There reaches it Our command by night or by day, and We make it like a harvest clean-mown, as if it had not flourished only the day before! thus do We explain the Signs in detail for those who reflect. |

তিনিই ভুমন্ডলকে বিস্তৃত করেছেন এবং তাতে পাহাড় পর্বত ও নদ-নদী স্থাপন করেছেন এবং প্রত্যেক ফলের মধ্যে দু’দু প্রকার সৃষ্টি করে রেখেছেন। তিনি দিনকে রাত্রি দ্বারা আবৃত করেন। এতে তাদের জন্যে নিদর্শণ রয়েছে, যারা চিন্তা করে।
And it is He who spread out the earth, and set thereon mountains standing firm and (flowing) rivers: and fruit of every kind He made in pairs, two and two: He draweth the night as a veil o'er the Day. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who consider! |

এবং তোমাদের সেবায় নিয়োজিত করেছেন সূর্যকে এবং চন্দ্রকে সর্বদা এক নিয়মে এবং রাত্রি ও দিবাকে তোমাদের কাজে লাগিয়েছেন।
And He hath made subject to you the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses; and the night and the day hath he (also) made subject to you. |

অতএব আপনি শেষরাত্রে পরিবারের সকলকে নিয়ে চলে যান এবং আপনি তাদের পশ্চাদনুসরণ করবেন না এবং আপনাদের মধ্যে কেউ যেন পিছন ফিরে না দেখে। আপনারা যেখানে আদেশ প্রাপ্ত হচ্ছেন সেখানে যান।
"Then travel by night with thy household, when a portion of the night (yet remains), and do thou bring up the rear: let no one amongst you look back, but pass on whither ye are ordered." |

তিনিই তোমাদের কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন রাত্রি, দিন, সূর্য এবং চন্দ্রকে। তারকাসমূহ তাঁরই বিধানের কর্মে নিয়োজিত রয়েছে। নিশ্চয়ই এতে বোধশক্তিসম্পন্নদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
He has made subject to you the Night and the Day; the sun and the moon; and the stars are in subjection by His Command: verily in this are Signs for men who are wise. |

আয়াতঃ ১২) |

পরম পবিত্র ও মহিমাময় সত্তা তিনি, যিনি স্বীয় বান্দাকে রাত্রি বেলায় ভ্রমণ করিয়েছিলেন মসজিদে হারাম থেকে মসজিদে আকসা পর্যান্ত-যার চার দিকে আমি পর্যাপ্ত বরকত দান করেছি যাতে আমি তাঁকে কুদরতের কিছু নিদর্শন দেখিয়ে দেই। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি পরম শ্রবণকারী ও দর্শনশীল।
Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things). |

আমি রাত্রি ও দিনকে দুটি নিদর্শন করেছি। অতঃপর নিস্প্রভ করে দিয়েছি রাতের নিদর্শন এবং দিনের নিদর্শনকে দেখার উপযোগী করেছি, যাতে তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার অনুগ্রহ অন্বেষণ কর এবং যাতে তোমরা স্থির করতে পার বছরসমূহের গণনা ও হিসাব এবং আমি সব বিষয়কে বিস্তারিত ভাবে বর্ণনা করেছি।
We have made the Night and the Day as two (of Our) Signs: the Sign of the Night have We obscured, while the Sign of the Day We have made to enlighten you; that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the number and count of the years: all things have We explained in detail. |

সূর্য ঢলে পড়ার সময় থেকে রাত্রির অন্ধকার পর্যন্ত নামায কায়েম করুন এবং ফজরের কোরআন পাঠও। নিশ্চয় ফজরের কোরআন পাঠ মুখোমুখি হয়।
Establish regular prayers - at the sun's decline till the darkness of the night, and the morning prayer and reading: for the prayer and reading in the morning carry their testimony. |

| 17 |
রাত্রির কিছু অংশ কোরআন পাঠ সহ জাগ্রত থাকুন। এটা আপনার জন্যে অতিরিক্ত। হয়ত বা আপনার পালনকর্তা আপনাকে মোকামে মাহমুদে পৌঁছাবেন।
And pray in the small watches of the morning: (it would be) an additional prayer (or spiritual profit) for thee: soon will thy Lord raise thee to a Station of Praise and Glory! |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৭৯) |
| 18 |
আমি মূসা প্রতি এই মর্মে ওহী করলাম যে, আমার বান্দাদেরকে নিয়ে রাত্রিযোগে বের হয়ে যাও এবং তাদের জন্যে সমুদ্রে শুষ্কপথ নির্মাণ কর। পেছন থেকে এসে তোমাদের ধরে ফেলার আশঙ্কা করো না এবং পানিতে ডুবে যাওয়ার ভয় করো না।
We sent an inspiration to Moses: "Travel by night with My servants, and strike a dry path for them through the sea, without fear of being overtaken (by Pharaoh) and without (any other) fear." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |
| 19 |
সুতরাং এরা যা বলে সে বিষয়ে ধৈর্য্য ধারণ করুন এবং আপনার পালনকর্তার প্রশংসা পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষনা করুন সূর্যোদয়ের পূর্বে, সূর্যাস্তের পূর্বে এবং পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা ঘোষনা করুন রাত্রির কিছু অংশ ও দিবাভাগে, সম্ভবতঃ তাতে আপনি সন্তুষ্ট হবেন।
Therefore be patient with what they say, and celebrate (constantly) the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun, and before its setting; yea, celebrate them for part of the hours of the night, and at the sides of the day: that thou mayest have (spiritual) joy. |

আয়াতঃ ১৩০) |

তারা রাত্রিদিন তাঁর পবিত্রতা ও মহিমা বর্ণনা করে এবং ক্লান্ত হয় না।
They celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit. |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 21 |
তিনিই সৃষ্টি করেছেন রাত্রি ও দিন এবং সূর্য ও চন্দ্র। সবাই আপন আপন কক্ষপথে বিচরণ করে।
It is He Who created the Night and the Day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along, each in its rounded course. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৩) |
| 22 |
বলুনঃ ‘রহমান’ থেকে কে তোমাদেরকে হেফাযত করবে রাত্রে ও দিনে। বরং তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার স্মরণ থেকে মুখ ফিরিয়ে রাখে।
Say: "Who can keep you safe by night and by day from (the Wrath of) (Allah) Most Gracious?" Yet they turn away from the mention of their Lord. |

আয়াতঃ ৪২) |
| 23 |
এবং স্মরণ করুন দাউদ ও সুলায়মানকে, যখন তাঁরা শস্যক্ষেত্র সম্পর্কে বিচার করেছিলেন। তাতে রাত্রিকালে কিছু লোকের মেষ ঢুকে পড়েছিল। তাদের বিচার আমার সম্মুখে ছিল।
And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: We did witness their judgment. |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 24 |
এটা এ জন্যে যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিনের মধ্যে এবং দিনকে রাত্রির মধ্য দাখিল করে দেন এবং আল্লাহ সবকিছু শোনেন, দেখেন।
That is because Allah merges night into day, and He merges day into night, and verily it is Allah Who hears and sees (all things). |

আয়াতঃ ৬১) |
| 25 |
তিনিই প্রাণ দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান এবং দিবা-রাত্রির বিবর্তন তাঁরই কাজ, তবু ও কি তোমরা বুঝবে না?
It is He Who gives life and death, and to Him (is due) the alternation of Night and Day: will ye not then understand? |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৮০) |

আল্লাহ দিন ও রাত্রির পরিবর্তন ঘটান। এতে অর্ন্তদৃষ্টি-সম্পন্নগণের জন্যে চিন্তার উপকরণ রয়েছে।
It is Allah Who alternates the Night and the Day: verily in these things is an instructive example for those who have vision! |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ৪৪) |
| 27 |
তিনিই তো তোমাদের জন্যে রাত্রিকে করেছেন আবরণ, নিদ্রাকে বিশ্রাম এবং দিনকে করেছেন বাইরে গমনের জন্যে।
And He it is Who makes the Night as a Robe for you, and Sleep as Repose, and makes the Day (as it were) a Resurrection. |
(আল-ফুরকান:

| 28 |
যারা অনুসন্ধানপ্রিয় অথবা যারা কৃতজ্ঞতাপ্রিয় তাদের জন্যে তিনি রাত্রি ও দিবস সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরিবর্তনশীলরূপে।
And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude. |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৬২) |

এবং যারা রাত্রি যাপন করে পালনকর্তার উদ্দেশ্যে সেজদাবনত হয়ে ও দন্ডায়মান হয়ে;
Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing; |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |
| 30 |
আমি মূসাকে আদেশ করলাম যে, আমার বান্দাদেরকে নিয়ে রাত্রিযোগে বের হয়ে যাও, নিশ্চয় তোমাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করা হবে।
By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." |
(আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ৫২) |
| 31 |
তারা বলল, তোমরা পরস্পরে আল্লাহর নামে শপথ গ্রহণ কর যে, আমরা রাত্রিকালে তাকে ও তার পরিবারবর্গকে হত্যা করব। অতঃপর তার দাবীদারকে বলে দেব যে, তার পরিবারবর্গের হত্যাকান্ড আমরা প্রত্যক্ষ করিনি। আমরা নিশ্চয়ই সত্যবাদী।
They said: "Swear a mutual oath by Allah that we shall make a secret night attack on him and his people, and that we shall then say to his heir (when he seeks vengeance): 'We were not present at the slaughter of his people, and we are positively telling the truth.'" |

আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |
| 32 |
তারা কি দেখে না যে, আমি রাত্রি সৃষ্টি করেছি তাদের বিশ্রামের জন্যে এবং দিনকে করেছি আলোকময়। নিশ্চয় এতে ঈমানদার সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
See they not that We have made the Night for them to rest in and the Day to give them light? Verily in this are Signs for any people that believe! |
(নমল:
আয়াতঃ ৮৬) |
| 33 |
বলুন, ভেবে দেখ তো, আল্লাহ যদি রাত্রিকে কেয়ামতের দিন পর্যন্ত স্থায়ী করেন, তবে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন উপাস্য কে আছে, যে তোমাদেরকে আলোক দান করতে পারে? তোমরা কি তবুও কর্ণꦣ2474;াত করবে না?
Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the night perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you enlightenment? Will ye not then hearken? |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৭১) |

বলুন, ভেবে দেখ তো, আল্লাহ যদি দিনকে কেয়ামতের দিন পর্যন্ত স্থায়ী করেন, তবে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন উপাস্য কে আছে যে, তোমাদেরকে রাত্রি দান করতে পারে, যাতে তোমরা বিশ্রাম করবে ? তোমরা কি তবুও ভেবে দেখবে না ?
Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the day perpetual over you to the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you a night in which ye can rest? Will ye not then see? |

আয়াতঃ ৭২) |
| 35 |
তুমি কি দেখ না যে, আল্লাহ রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন? তিনি চন্দ্র ও সূর্যকে কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকেই নির্দিষ্টকাল পর্যন্ত পরিভ্রমণ করে। তুমি কি আরও দেখ না যে, তোমরা যা কর, আল্লাহ তার খবর রাখেন?
Seest thou not that Allah merges Night into Day and he merges Day into Night; that He has subjected the sun, and the moon (to his Law), each running its course for a term appointed; and that Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do? |
(লোকমান:
আয়াতঃ ২৯) |

তাদের এবং যেসব জনপদের লোকদের প্রতি আমি অনুগ্রহ করেছিলম সেগুলোর মধ্যবর্তী স্থানে অনেক দৃশ্যমান জনপদ স্থাপন করেছিলাম এবং সেগুলোতে ভ্রমণ নির্ধারিত করেছিলাম। তোমরা এসব জনপদে রাত্রে ও দিনে নিরাপদে ভ্রমণ কর।
Between them and the Cities on which We had poured our blessings, We had placed Cities in prominent positions, and between them We had appointed stages of journey in due proportion: "Travel therein, secure, by night and by day." |
(সাবা:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 37 |
দুর্বলরা অহংকারীদেরকে বলবে, বরং তোমরাই তো দিবারাত্রি চক্রান্ত করে আমাদেরকে নির্দেশ দিতে যেন আমরা আল্লাহকে না মানি এবং তাঁর অংশীদার সাব্যস্ত করি তারা যখন শাস্তি দেখবে, তখন মনের অনুতাপ মনেই রাখবে। বস্তুতঃ আমি কাফেরদের গলায় বেড়ী পরাব। তারা সে প্রতিফলই পেয়ে থাকে যা তারা করত।
Those who had been despised will say to the arrogant ones: "Nay! it was a plot (of yours) by day and by night: Behold! Ye (constantly) ordered us to be ungrateful to Allah and to attribute equals to Him!" They will declare (their) repentance when they see the Penalty: We shall put yokes on the necks of the Unbelievers: It would only be a requital for their (ill) Deeds. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৩) |
| 38 |
তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রিতে প্রবিষ্ট করেন। তিনি সূর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কাজে নিয়োজিত করেছেন। প্রত্যেকটি আবর্তন করে এক নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত। ইনি আল্লাহ; তোমাদের পালনকর্তা, সাম্রাজ্য তাঁরই। তাঁর পরিবর্তে তোমরা যাদেরকে ডাক, তারা তুচ্ছ খেজুর আঁটিরও অধিকারী নয়।
He merges Night into Day, and he merges Day into Night, and he has subjected the sun and the moon (to his Law): each one runs its course for a term appointed. Such is Allah your Lord: to Him belongs all Dominion. And those whom ye invoke besides Him have not the least power. |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ১৩) |

তাদের জন্যে এক নিদর্শন রাত্রি, আমি তা থেকে দিনকে অপসারিত করি, তখনই তারা অন্ধকারে থেকে যায়।
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; |

সূর্য নাগাল পেতে পারে না চন্দ্রের এবং রাত্রি অগ্রে চলে না দিনের প্রত্যেকেই আপন আপন কক্ষপথে সন্তরণ করে।
It is not permitted to the Sun to catch up the Moon, nor can the Night outstrip the Day: Each (just) swims along in (its own) orbit (according to Law). |

আয়াতঃ ৪০) |

তিনি আসমান ও যমীন সৃষ্টি করেছেন যথাযথভাবে। তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবস দ্বারা আচ্ছাদিত করেন এবং দিবসকে রাত্রি দ্বারা আচ্ছাদিত করেন এবং তিনি সুর্য ও চন্দ্রকে কাজে নিযুক্ত করেছেন প্রত্যেকেই বিচরণ করে নির্দিষ্ট সময়কাল পর্যন্ত। জেনে রাখুন, তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, ক্ষমাশীল।
He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again? |

যে ব্যক্তি রাত্রিকালে সেজদার মাধ্যমে অথবা দাঁড়িয়ে এবাদত করে, পরকালের আশংকা রাখে এবং তার পালনকর্তার রহমত প্রত্যাশা করে, সে কি তার সমান, যে এরূপ করে না; বলুন, যারা জানে এবং যারা জানে না; তারা কি সমান হতে পারে? চিন্তা-ভাবনা কেবল তারাই করে, যারা বুদ্ধিমান।
Is one who worships devoutly during the hour of the night prostrating himself or standing (in adoration), who takes heed of the Hereafter, and who places his hope in the Mercy of his Lord - (like one who does not)? Say: "Are those equal, those who know and those who do not know? It is those who are endued with understanding that receive admonition. |

তিনিই আল্লাহ যিনি রাত্র সৃষ্টি করেছেন তোমাদের বিশ্রামের জন্যে এবং দিবসকে করেছেন দেখার জন্যে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ মানুষের প্রতি অনুগ্রহশীল, কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ কৃতজ্ঞতা স্বীকার করে না।
It is Allah Who has made the Night for you, that ye may rest therein, and the days as that which helps (you) to see. Verily Allah is full of Grace and Bounty to men: yet most men give no thanks. |

অতঃপর তারা যদি অহংকার করে, তবে যারা আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে আছে, তারা দিবারাত্রি তাঁর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করে এবং তারা ক্লান্ত হয় না।
But is the (Unbelievers) are arrogant, (no matter): for in the presence of thy Lord are those who celebrate His praises by night and by day. And they never flag (nor feel themselves above it). |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |

তাহলে তুমি আমার বান্দাদেরকে নিয়ে রাত্রিবেলায় বের হয়ে পড়। নিশ্চয় তোমাদের পশ্চাদ্ধবন করা হবে।
(The reply came:) "March forth with My Servants by night: for ye are sure to be pursued. |

দিবারাত্রির পরিবর্তনে, আল্লাহ আকাশ থেকে যে রিযিক (বৃষ্টি) বর্ষণ করেন অতঃপর পৃথিবীকে তার মৃত্যুর পর পুনরুজ্জীবিত করেন, তাতে এবং বায়ুর পরিবর্তনে বুদ্ধিমানদের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
And in the alternation of Night and Day, and the fact that Allah sends down Sustenance from the sky, and revives therewith the earth after its death, and in the change of the winds,- are Signs for those that are wise. |

রাত্রির কিছু অংশে তাঁর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করুন এবং নামাযের পশ্চাতেও।
And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises, and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration. |

তারা রাত্রির সামান্য অংশেই নিদ্রা যেত,
They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, |

এবং রাত্রির কিছু অংশে এবং তারকা অস্তমিত হওয়ার সময় তাঁর পবিত্রতা ঘোষণা করুন।
And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! |

তিনি রাত্রিকে দিবসে প্রবিষ্ট করেন এবং দিবসকে প্রবিষ্ট করেন রাত্রিতে। তিনি অন্তরের বিষয়াদি সম্পর্কেও সম্যক জ্ঞাত।
He merges Night into Day, and He merges Day into Night; and He has full knowledge of the secrets of (all) hearts. |

যা তিনি প্রবাহিত করেছিলেন তাদের উপর সাত রাত্রি ও আট দিবস পর্যন্ত অবিরাম। আপনি তাদেরকে দেখতেন যে, তারা অসার খর্জুর কান্ডের ন্যায় ভূপাতিত হয়ে রয়েছে।
He made it rage against them seven nights and eight days in succession: so that thou couldst see the (whole) people lying prostrate in its (path), as they had been roots of hollow palm-trees tumbled down! |

সে বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আমি আমার সম্প্রদায়কে দিবারাত্রি দাওয়াত দিয়েছি;
He said: "O my Lord! I have called to my People night and day: |

রাত্রিতে দন্ডায়মান হোন কিছু অংশ বাদ দিয়ে;
Stand (to prayer) by night, but not all night,- |

আয়াতঃ ২) |

অর্ধরাত্রি অথবা তদপেক্ষা কিছু কম
Half of it,- or a little less, |

আয়াতঃ ৩) |
| 55 |
নিশ্চয় এবাদতের জন্যে রাত্রিতে উঠা প্রবৃত্তি দলনে সহায়ক এবং স্পষ্ট উচ্চারণের অনুকূল।
Truly the rising by night is most potent for governing (the soul), and most suitable for (framing) the Word (of Prayer and Praise). |

আপনার পালনকর্তা জানেন, আপনি এবাদতের জন্যে দন্ডায়মান হন রাত্রির প্রায় দু’তৃতীয়াংশ, অর্ধাংশ ও তৃতীয়াংশ এবং আপনার সঙ্গীদের একটি দলও দন্ডায়মান হয়। আল্লাহ দিবা ও রাত্রি পরিমাপ করেন। তিনি জানেন, তোমরা এর পূর্ণ হিসাব রাখতে পার না। অতএব তিনি তোমাদের প্রতি ক্ষমা পরায়ন হয়েছেন। কাজেই কোরআনের যতটুকু তোমাদের জন্যে সহজ, ততটুকু আবৃত্তি কর। তিনি জানেন তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ অসুস্থ হবে, কেউ কেউ আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ সন্ধানে দেশে-বিদেশে যাবে এবং কেউ কেউ আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদে লিপ্ত হবে। কাজেই কোরআনের যতটুকু তোমাদের জন্যে সহজ ততটুকু আবৃত্তি কর। তোমরা নামায কায়েম কর, যাকাত দাও এবং আল্লাহকে উত্তম ঋণ দাও। তোমরা নিজেদের জন্যে যা কিছু অগ্রে পাঠাবে, তা আল্লাহর কাছে উত্তম আকারে এবং পুরস্কার হিসেবে বর্ধিতরূপে পাবে। তোমরা আল্লাহর কাছে ক্ষমাপ্রার্থনা কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, দয়ালু।
Thy Lord doth know that thou standest forth (to prayer) nigh two-thirds of the night, or half the night, or a third of the night, and so doth a party of those with thee. But Allah doth appoint night and day in due measure He knoweth that ye are unable to keep count thereof. So He hath turned to you (in mercy): read ye, therefore, of the Qur'an as much as may be easy for you. He knoweth that there may be (some) among you in ill-health; others travelling through the land, seeking of Allah's bounty; yet others fighting in Allah's Cause, read ye, therefore, as much of the Qur'an as may be easy (for you); and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

শপথ রাত্রির যখন তার অবসান হয়,
And by the Night as it retreateth, |
(আল মুদ্দাসসির:

রাত্রির কিছু অংশে তাঁর উদ্দেশে সিজদা করুন এবং রাত্রির দীর্ঘ সময় তাঁর পবিত্রতা বর্ণনা করুন।
And part of the night, prostrate thyself to Him; and glorify Him a long night through. |

And made the night as a covering, |

তিনি এর রাত্রিকে করেছেন অন্ধকারাচ্ছন্ন এবং এর সূর্যোলোক প্রকাশ করেছেন।
Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light). |

The Night and its Homing; |

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- |

আপনি জানেন, যে রাত্রিতে আসে সেটা কি?
And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- |

By the Nights twice five; |

এবং শপথ রাত্রির যখন তা গত হতে থাকে
And by the Night when it passeth away;- |

শপথ রাত্রির যখন সে সূর্যকে আচ্ছাদিত করে,
By the Night as it conceals it; |
(আশ-শামস:
আয়াতঃ ৪) |
| 67 |
শপথ রাত্রির, যখন সে আচ্ছন্ন করে,
By the Night as it conceals (the light); |
(আল লায়ল:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 68 |
শপথ রাত্রির যখন তা গভীর হয়,
And by the Night when it is still,- |

অন্ধকার রাত্রির অনিষ্ট থেকে, যখন তা সমাগত হয়,
From the mischief of Darkness as it overspreads; |
