আমি আমার নিদর্শনসমূহ হতে তাদেরকে ফিরিয়ে রাখি, যারা পৃথিবীতে অন্যায়ভাবে গর্ব করে। যদি তারা সমস্ত নিদর্শন প্রত্যক্ষ করে ফেলে, তবুও তা বিশ্বাস করবে না। আর যদি হেদায়েতের পথ দেখে, তবে সে পথ গ্রহণ করে না। অথচ গোমরাহীর পথ দেখলে তাই গ্রহণ করে নেয়। এর কারণ, তারা আমার নিদর্শনসমূহকে মিথ্যা বলে মনে করেছে এবং তা থেকে বেখবর রয়ে গেছে।
Those who behave arrogantly on the earth in defiance of right - them will I turn away from My signs: Even if they see all the signs, they will not believe in them; and if they see the way of right conduct, they will not adopt it as the way; but if they see the way of error, that is the way they will adopt. For they have rejected our signs, and failed to take warning from them. |

আর যদি আমি এক নির্ধারিত মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত তাদের আযাব স্থগিত রাখি, তাহলে তারা নিশ্চয়ই বলবে কোন জিনিসে আযাব ঠেকিয়ে রাখছে? শুনে রাখ, যেদিন তাদের উপর আযাব এসে পড়বে, সেদিন কিন্তু তা ফিরে যাওয়ার নয়; তারা যে ব্যাপারে উপহাস করত তাই তাদেরকে ঘিরে ফেলবে।
If We delay the penalty for them for a definite term, they are sure to say, "What keeps it back?" Ah! On the day it (actually) reaches them, nothing will turn it away from them, and they will be completely encircled by that which they used to mock at! |
