ইতিপূর্বে মূসা (আঃ) যেমন জিজ্ঞাসিত হয়েছিলেন, (মুসলমানগন, ) তোমরাও কি তোমাদের রসূলকে তেমনি প্রশ্ন করতে চাও? যে কেউ ঈমানের পরিবর্তে কুফর গ্রহন করে, সে সরল পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়ে যায়।
Would ye question your Messenger as Moses was questioned of old? but whoever changeth from Faith to Unbelief, Hath strayed without doubt from the even way. |

তিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের উদ্ভাবক। যখন তিনি কোন কার্য সম্পাদনের সিন্ধান্ত নেন, তখন সেটিকে একথাই বলেন, ‘হয়ে যাও’ তৎক্ষণাৎ তা হয়ে যায়।
To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: When He decreeth a matter, He saith to it: "Be," and it is. |

রোযার রাতে তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের সাথে সহবাস করা তোমাদের জন্য হালাল করা হয়েছে। তারা তোমাদের পরিচ্ছদ এবং তোমরা তাদের পরিচ্ছদ। আল্লাহ অবগত রয়েছেন যে, তোমরা আত্নপ্রতারণা করছিলে, সুতরাং তিনি তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করেছেন এবং তোমাদের অব্যাহতি দিয়েছেন। অতঃপর তোমরা নিজেদের স্ত্রীদের সাথে সহবাস কর এবং যা কিছু তোমাদের জন্য আল্লাহ দান করেছেন, তা আহরন কর। আর পানাহার কর যতক্ষণ না কাল রেখা থেকে ভোরের শুভ্র রেখা পরিষ্কার দেখা যায়। অতঃপর রোযা পূর্ণ কর রাত পর্যন্ত। আর যতক্ষণ তোমরা এতেকাফ অবস্থায় মসজিদে অবস্থান কর, ততক্ষণ পর্যন্ত স্ত্রীদের সাথে মিশো না। এই হলো আল্লাহ কর্তৃক বেঁধে দেয়া সীমানা। অতএব, এর কাছেও যেও না। এমনিভাবে বর্ণনা করেন আল্লাহ নিজের আয়াত সমূহ মানুষের জন্য, যাতে তারা বাঁচতে পারে।
Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah: Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint. |

আর তোমার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে হায়েয (ঋতু) সম্পর্কে। বলে দাও, এটা অশুচি। কাজেই তোমরা হায়েয অবস্থায় স্ত্রীগমন থেকে বিরত থাক। তখন পর্যন্ত তাদের নিকটবর্তী হবে না, যতক্ষণ না তারা পবিত্র হয়ে যায়। যখন উত্তম রূপে পরিশুদ্ধ হয়ে যাবে, তখন গমন কর তাদের কাছে, যেভাবে আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে হুকুম দিয়েছেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তওবাকারী এবং অপবিত্রতা থেকে যারা বেঁচে থাকে তাদেরকে পছন্দ করেন।
They ask thee concerning women's courses. Say: They are a hurt and a pollution: So keep away from women in their courses, and do not approach them until they are clean. But when they have purified themselves, ye may approach them in any manner, time, or place ordained for you by Allah. For Allah loves those who turn to Him constantly and He loves those who keep themselves pure and clean. |

যারা ঈমান এনেছে, আল্লাহ তাদের অভিভাবক। তাদেরকে তিনি বের করে আনেন অন্ধকার থেকে আলোর দিকে। আর যারা কুফরী করে তাদের অভিভাবক হচ্ছে তাগুত। তারা তাদেরকে আলো থেকে বের করে অন্ধকারের দিকে নিয়ে যায়। এরাই হলো দোযখের অধিবাসী, চিরকাল তারা সেখানেই থাকবে।
Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever). |

আপনি কি তাদের দেখেননি, যারা কিতাবের কিছু অংশ পেয়েছে-আল্লাহর কিতাবের প্রতি তাদের আহবান করা হয়েছিল যাতে তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করা যায়। অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে একদল তা অমান্য করে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who have been given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of Allah, to settle their dispute, but a party of them Turn back and decline (The arbitration). |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ২৩) |

তিনি বললেন, পরওয়ারদেগার! কেমন করে আমার সন্তান হবে; আমাকে তো কোন মানুষ স্পর্শ করেনি। বললেন এ ভাবেই আল্লাহ যা ইচ্ছা সৃষ্টি করেন। যখন কোন কাজ করার জন্য ইচ্ছা করেন তখন বলেন যে, ‘হয়ে যাও’ অমনি তা হয়ে যায়।
She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allah createth what He willeth: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, 'Be,' and it is! |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |

যাতে ধবংস করে দেন কোন কোন কাফেরকে অথবা লাঞ্ছিত করে দেন-যেন ওরা বঞ্চিত হয়ে ফিরে যায়।
That He might cut off a fringe of the Unbelievers or expose them to infamy, and they should then be turned back, frustrated of their purpose. |

আর যেদিন দু’দল সৈন্যের মোকাবিলা হয়েছে; সেদিন তোমাদের উপর যা আপতিত হয়েছে তা আল্লাহর হুকুমেই হয়েছে এবং তা এজন্য যে, তাতে ঈমানদারদিগকে জানা যায়।
What ye suffered on the day the two armies Met, was with the leave of Allah, in order that He might test the believers,- |

সেদিন কামনা করবে সে সমস্ত লোক, যারা কাফের হয়েছিল এবং রসূলের নাফরমানী করেছিল, যেন যমীনের সাথে মিশে যায়। কিন্তু গোপন করতে পারবে না আল্লাহর নিকট কোন বিষয়।
On that day those who reject Faith and disobey the messenger will wish that the earth Were made one with them: But never will they hide a single fact from Allah! |
(আন নিসা:

যে কেউ আল্লাহর পথে দেশত্যাগ করে, সে এর বিনিময়ে অনেক স্থান ও সচ্ছলতা প্রাপ্ত হবে। যে কেউ নিজ গৃহ থেকে বের হয় আল্লাহ ও রসূলের প্রতি হিজরত করার উদ্দেশে, অতঃপর মৃত্যুমুখে পতিত হয়, তবে তার সওয়াব আল্লাহর কাছে অবধারিত হয়ে যায়। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়।
He who forsakes his home in the cause of Allah, finds in the earth Many a refuge, wide and spacious: Should he die as a refugee from home for Allah and His Messenger, His reward becomes due and sure with Allah: And Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

আয়াতঃ ১০০) |

আর কোরআনের মাধ্যমে তোমাদের প্রতি এই হুকুম জারি করে দিয়েছেন যে, যখন আল্লাহ তা’ আলার আয়াতসমূহের প্রতি অস্বীকৃতি জ্ঞাপন ও বিদ্রুপ হতে শুনবে, তখন তোমরা তাদের সাথে বসবে না, যতক্ষণ না তারা প্রসঙ্গান্তরে চলে যায়। তা না হলে তোমরাও তাদেরই মত হয়ে যাবে। আল্লাহ দোযখের মাঝে মুনাফেক ও কাফেরদেরকে একই জায়গায় সমবেত করবেন।
Already has He sent you Word in the Book, that when ye hear the signs of Allah held in defiance and ridicule, ye are not to sit with them unless they turn to a different theme: if ye did, ye would be like them. For Allah will collect the hypocrites and those who defy faith - all in Hell:- |

আয়াতঃ ১৪০) |

তারা বললঃ হে মূসা, সেখানে একটি প্রবল পরাক্রান্ত জাতি রয়েছে। আমরা কখনও সেখানে যাব না, যে পর্যন্ত না তারা সেখান থেকে বের হয়ে যায়। তারা যদি সেখান থেকে বের হয়ে যায় তবে নিশ্চিতই আমরা প্রবেশ করব।’
They said: "O Moses! In this land are a people of exceeding strength: Never shall we enter it until they leave it: if (once) they leave, then shall we enter." |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 14 |
আমি এ গ্রন্থে তাদের প্রতি লিখে দিয়েছি যে, প্রাণের বিনিময়ে প্রাণ, চক্ষুর বিনিময়ে চক্ষু, নাকের বিনিময়ে নাক, কানের বিনিময়ে কান, দাঁতের বিনিময়ে দাঁত এবং যখম সমূহের বিনিময়ে সমান যখম। অতঃপর যে ক্ষমা করে, সে গোনাহ থেকে পাক হয়ে যায়। যেসব লোক আল্লাহ যা অবতীর্ণ করেছেন, তদনুযায়ী ফয়সালা করে না তারাই জালেম।
We ordained therein for them: "Life for life, eye for eye, nose or nose, ear for ear, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal." But if any one remits the retaliation by way of charity, it is an act of atonement for himself. And if any fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (No better than) wrong-doers. |

আমি এরূপ ভাবেই ইব্রাহীমকে নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডলের অত্যাশ্চর্য বস্তুসমূহ দেখাতে লাগলাম-যাতে সে দৃঢ় বিশ্বাসী হয়ে যায়।
So also did We show Abraham the power and the laws of the heavens and the earth, that he might (with understanding) have certitude. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৭৫) |

আল্লাহ যেসব শস্যক্ষেত্র ও জীবজন্তু সৃষ্টি করেছেন, সেগুলো থেকে তারা এক অংশ আল্লাহর জন্য নির্ধারণ করে অতঃপর নিজ ধারণা অনুসারে বলে এটা আল্লাহর এবং এটা আমাদের অংশীদারদের। অতঃপর যে অংশ তাদের অংশীদারদের, তা তো আল্লাহর দিকে পৌঁছে না এবং যা আল্লাহর তা তাদের উপাস্যদের দিকে পৌছে যায়। তাদের বিচার কতই না মন্দ।
Out of what Allah hath produced in abundance in tilth and in cattle, they assigned Him a share: they say, according to their fancies: "This is for Allah, and this" - for our "partners"! but the share of their" partners "reacheth not Allah, whilst the share of Allah reacheth their "partners"! evil (and unjust) is their assignment! |

আয়াতঃ ১৩৬) |

আর স্মরণ করতে থাক স্বীয় পালনকর্তাকে আপন মনে ক্রন্দনরত ও ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত অবস্থায় এবং এমন স্বরে যা চিৎকার করে বলা অপেক্ষা কম; সকালে ও সন্ধ্যায়। আর বে-খবর থেকো না।
And do thou (O reader!) Bring thy Lord to remembrance in thy (very) soul, with humility and in reverence, without loudness in words, in the mornings and evenings; and be not thou of those who are unheedful. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ২০৫) |

আর স্মরণ কর, যখন তোমরা ছিলে অল্প, পরাজিত অবস্থায় পড়েছিলে দেশে; ভীত-সস্ত্রস্ত্র ছিলে যে, তোমাদের না অন্যেরা ছোঁ মেরে নিয়ে যায়। অতঃপর তিনি তোমাদিগকে আশ্রয়ের ঠিকানা দিয়েছেন, স্বীয় সাহায্যের দ্বারা তোমাদিগকে শক্তি দান করেছেন এবং পরিচ্ছন্ন জীবিকা দিয়েছেন যাতে তোমরা শুকরিয়া আদায় কর।
Call to mind when ye were a small (band), despised through the land, and afraid that men might despoil and kidnap you; But He provided a safe asylum for you, strengthened you with His aid, and gave you Good things for sustenance: that ye might be grateful. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |
| 19 |
আর তাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করতে থাক যতক্ষণ না ভ্রান্তি শেষ হয়ে যায়; এবং আল্লাহর সমস্ত হুকুম প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়ে যায়। তারপর যদি তারা বিরত হয়ে যায়, তবে আল্লাহ তাদের কার্যকলাপ লক্ষ্য করেন।
And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do. |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 20 |
তাদের নির্মিত গৃহটি তাদের অন্তরে সদা সন্দেহের উদ্রেক করে যাবে যে পর্যন্ত না তাদের অন্তরগুলো চৌচির হয়ে যায়। আর আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ প্রজ্ঞাময়।
The foundation of those who so build is never free from suspicion and shakiness in their hearts, until their hearts are cut to pieces. And Allah is All-Knowing, Wise. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১১০) |
| 21 |
সত্যের আহবান একমাত্র তাঁরই এবং তাকে ছাড়া যাদেরকে ডাকে, তারা তাদের কোন কাজে আসে না; ওদের দৃষ্টান্ত সেরূপ, যেমন কেউ দু’ হাত পানির দিকে প্রসারিত করে যাতে পানি তার মুখে পৌঁছে যায়। অথচ পানি কোন সময় পৌঁছাবে না। কাফেরদের যত আহবান তার সবই পথভ্রষ্টতা।
For Him (alone) is prayer in Truth: any others that they call upon besides Him hear them no more than if they were to stretch forth their hands for water to reach their mouths but it reaches them not: for the prayer of those without Faith is nothing but (futile) wandering (in the mind). |

আল্লাহকে সেজদা করে যা কিছু নভোমন্ডলে ও ভূমন্ডলে আছে ইচ্ছায় অথবা অনিচ্ছায় এবং তাদের প্রতিচ্ছায়াও সকাল-সন্ধ্যায়।
Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate themselves to Allah (Acknowledging subjection),- with good-will or in spite of themselves: so do their shadows in the morning and evenings. |
(রা'দ:
আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 23 |
আমি যখন কোন কিছু করার ইচ্ছা করি; তখন তাকে কেবল এতটুকুই বলি যে, হয়ে যাও,। সুতরাং তা হয়ে যায়।
For to anything which We have willed, We but say the word, "Be", and it is. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 24 |
তোমরা ঐ মহিলার মত হয়ো না, যে পরিশ্রমের পর কাটা সূতা টুকরো টুকরো করে ছিড়ে ফেলে, তোমরা নিজেদের কসমসমূহকে পারস্পরিক প্রবঞ্চনার বাহানা রূপে গ্রহণ কর এজন্যে যে, অন্য দল অপেক্ষা এক দল অধিক ক্ষমতাবান হয়ে যায়। এতদ্বারা তো আল্লাহ শুধু তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করেন। আল্লাহ অবশ্যই কিয়ামতের দিন প্রকাশ করে দেবেন, যে বিষয়ে তোমরা কলহ করতে।
And be not like a woman who breaks into untwisted strands the yarn which she has spun, after it has become strong. Nor take your oaths to practise deception between yourselves, lest one party should be more numerous than another: for Allah will test you by this; and on the Day of Judgment He will certainly make clear to you (the truth of) that wherein ye disagree. |

আয়াতঃ ৯২) |
| 25 |
যখন আমি কোন জনপদকে ধ্বংস করার ইচ্ছা করি তখন তার অবস্থাপন্ন লোকদেরকে উদ্ধুদ্ধ করি অতঃপর তারা পাপাচারে মেতে উঠে। তখন সে জনগোষ্টীর উপর আদেশ অবধারিত হয়ে যায়। অতঃপর আমি তাকে উঠিয়ে আছাড় দেই।
When We decide to destroy a population, We (first) send a definite order to those among them who are given the good things of this life and yet transgress; so that the word is proved true against them: then (it is) We destroy them utterly. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

আমি তাদের অন্তরের উপর আবরণ রেখে দেই, যাতে তারা একে উপলব্ধি করতে না পারে এবং তাদের কর্ণকুহরে বোঝা চাপিয়ে দেই। যখন আপনি কোরআনে পালনকর্তার একত্ব আবৃত্তি করেন, তখন ও অনীহাবশতঃ ওরা পৃষ্ট প্রদর্শন করে চলে যায়।
And We put coverings over their hearts (and minds) lest they should understand the Qur'an, and deafness into their ears: when thou dost commemorate thy Lord and Him alone in the Qur'an, they turn on their backs, fleeing (from the Truth). |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৬) |

তারা তো আপনাকে এ ভুখন্ড থেকে উৎখাত করে দিতে চুড়ান্ত চেষ্টা করেছিল যাতে আপনাকে এখান থেকে বহিস্কার করে দেয়া যায়। তখন তারাও আপনার পর সেখানে অল্প কালই মাত্র টিকে থাকত।
Their purpose was to scare thee off the land, in order to expel thee; but in that case they would not have stayed (therein) after thee, except for a little while. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৭৬) |
| 28 |
তাদের কাছে পার্থিব জীবনের উপমা বর্ণনা করুন। তা পানির ন্যায়, যা আমি আকাশ থেকে নাযিল করি। অতঃপর এর সংমিশ্রণে শ্যামল সবুজ ভূমিজ লতা-পাতা নির্গত হয়; অতঃপর তা এমন শুস্ক চুর্ণ-বিচুর্ণ হয় যে, বাতাসে উড়ে যায়। আল্লাহ এ সবকিছুর উপর শক্তিমান।
Set forth to them the similitude of the life of this world: It is like the rain which we send down from the skies: the earth's vegetation absorbs it, but soon it becomes dry stubble, which the winds do scatter: it is (only) Allah who prevails over all things. |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৪৫) |
| 29 |
তারাই সে লোক, যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার নিদর্শনাবলী এবং তাঁর সাথে সাক্ষাতের বিষয় অস্বীকার করে। ফলে তাদের কর্ম নিষ্ফল হয়ে যায়। সুতরাং কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের জন্য আমি কোন গুরুত্ব স্থির করব না।
They are those who deny the Signs of their Lord and the fact of their having to meet Him (in the Hereafter): vain will be their works, nor shall We, on the Day of Judgment, give them any weight. |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ১০৫) |
| 30 |
আল্লাহ এমন নন যে, সন্তান গ্রহণ করবেন, তিনি পবিত্র ও মহিমাময় সত্তা, তিনি যখন কোন কাজ করা সিদ্ধান্ত করেন, তখন একথাই বলেনঃ হও এবং তা হয়ে যায়।
It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is. |
(মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |
| 31 |
বলেছিঃ আমার দেয়া পবিত্র বস্তুসমূহ খাও এবং এতে সীমালংঘন করো না, তা হলে তোমাদের উপর আমার ক্রোধ নেমে আসবে এবং যার উপর আমার ক্রোধ নেমে আসে সে ধবংস হয়ে যায়।
(Saying): "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance, but commit no excess therein, lest My Wrath should justly descend on you: and those on whom descends My Wrath do perish indeed! |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৮১) |

বরং আমি সত্যকে মিথ্যার উপর নিক্ষেপ করি, অতঃপর সত্য মিথ্যার মস্তক চুর্ণ-বিচূর্ণ করে দেয়, অতঃপর মিথ্যা তৎক্ষণাৎ নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে যায়। তোমরা যা বলছ, তার জন্যে তোমাদের দুর্ভোগ।
Nay, We hurl the Truth against falsehood, and it knocks out its brain, and behold, falsehood doth perish! Ah! woe be to you for the (false) things ye ascribe (to Us). |
(আম্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ১৮) |
| 33 |
মানুষের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ দ্বিধা-দ্বন্দ্বে জড়িত হয়ে আল্লাহর এবাদত করে। যদি সে কল্যাণ প্রাপ্ত হয়, তবে এবাদতের উপর কায়েম থাকে এবং যদি কোন পরীক্ষায় পড়ে, তবে পূর্বাবস্থায় ফিরে যায়। সে ইহকালে ও পরকালে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত। এটাই প্রকাশ্য ক্ষতি
There are among men some who serve Allah, as it were, on the verge: if good befalls them, they are, therewith, well content; but if a trial comes to them, they turn on their faces: they lose both this world and the Hereafter: that is loss for all to see! |
(হাজ্জ্ব:
আয়াতঃ ১১) |

এবং যারা মিথ্যা কাজে যোগদান করে না এবং যখন অসার ক্রিয়াকর্মের সম্মুখীন হয়, তখন মান রক্ষার্থে ভদ্রভাবে চলে যায়।
Those who witness no falsehood, and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance); |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৭২) |
| 35 |
এবং আমার মন হতবল হয়ে পড়ে এবং আমার জিহবা অচল হয়ে যায়। সুতরাং হারুনের কাছে বার্তা প্রেরণ করুন।
"My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. |
(আশ-শো'আরা:
আয়াতঃ ১৩) |

আপনি আহবান শোনাতে পারবেন না মৃতদেরকে এবং বধিরকেও নয়, যখন তারা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে চলে যায়।
Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. |

যখন তিনি মাদইয়ানের কূপের ধারে পৌছলেন, তখন কূপের কাছে একদল লোককে পেলেন তারা জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করানোর কাজে রত। এবং তাদের পশ্চাতে দূ’জন স্ত্রীলোককে দেখলেন তারা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে আগলিয়ে রাখছে। তিনি বললেন, তোমাদের কি ব্যাপার? তারা বলল, আমরা আমাদের জন্তুদেরকে পানি পান করাতে পারি না, যে পর্যন্ত রাখালরা তাদের জন্তুদেরকে নিয়ে সরে না যায়। আমাদের পিতা খুবই বৃদ্ধ।
And when he arrived at the watering (place) in Madyan, he found there a group of men watering (their flocks), and besides them he found two women who were keeping back (their flocks). He said: "What is the matter with you?" They said: "We cannot water (our flocks) until the shepherds take back (their flocks): And our father is a very old man." |

আমি যদি এমন বায়ু প্রেরণ করি যার ফলে তারা শস্যকে হলদে হয়ে যেতে দেখে, তখন তো তারা অবশ্যই অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
And if We (but) send a Wind from which they see (their tilth) turn yellow,- behold, they become, thereafter, Ungrateful (Unbelievers)! |

| 39 |
যখন লোকমান উপদেশচ্ছলে তার পুত্রকে বললঃ হে বৎস, আল্লাহর সাথে শরীক করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর সাথে শরীক করা মহা অন্যায়।
Behold, Luqman said to his son by way of instruction: "O my son! join not in worship (others) with Allah: for false worship is indeed the highest wrong-doing." |

| 40 |
নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ আসমান ও যমীনকে স্থির রাখেন, যাতে টলে না যায়। যদি এগুলো টলে যায় তবে তিনি ব্যতীত কে এগুলোকে স্থির রাখবে? তিনি সহনশীল, ক্ষমাশীল।
It is Allah Who sustains the heavens and the earth, lest they cease (to function): and if they should fail, there is none - not one - can sustain them thereafter: Verily He is Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving. |

তাদের জন্যে এক নিদর্শন রাত্রি, আমি তা থেকে দিনকে অপসারিত করি, তখনই তারা অন্ধকারে থেকে যায়।
And a Sign for them is the Night: We withdraw therefrom the Day, and behold they are plunged in darkness; |

চন্দ্রের জন্যে আমি বিভিন্ন মনযিল নির্ধারিত করেছি। অবশেষে সে পুরাতন খর্জুর শাখার অনুরূপ হয়ে যায়।
And the Moon,- We have measured for her mansions (to traverse) till she returns like the old (and withered) lower part of a date-stalk. |

সে আমার সম্পর্কে এক অদ্ভূত কথা বর্ণনা করে, অথচ সে নিজের সৃষ্টি ভুলে যায়। সে বলে কে জীবিত করবে অস্থিসমূহকে যখন সেগুলো পচে গলে যাবে?
And he makes comparisons for Us, and forgets his own (origin and) Creation: He says, "Who can give life to (dry) bones and decomposed ones (at that)?" |

আয়াতঃ ৭৮) |
| 44 |
তিনি যখন কোন কিছু করতে ইচ্ছা করেন, তখন তাকে কেবল বলে দেন, ‘হও’ তখনই তা হয়ে যায়।
Verily, when He intends a thing, His Command is, "be", and it is! |

আয়াতঃ ৮২) |

হে দাউদ! আমি তোমাকে পৃথিবীতে প্রতিনিধি করেছি, অতএব, তুমি মানুষের মাঝে ন্যায়সঙ্গতভাবে রাজত্ব কর এবং খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করো না। তা তোমাকে আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত করে দেবে। নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর পথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি, এ কারণে যে, তারা হিসাবদিবসকে ভূলে যায়।
O David! We did indeed make thee a vicegerent on earth: so judge thou between men in truth (and justice): Nor follow thou the lusts (of thy heart), for they will mislead thee from the Path of Allah: for those who wander astray from the Path of Allah, is a Penalty Grievous, for that they forget the Day of Account. |

তিনিই জীবিত করেন এবং মৃত্যু দেন। যখন তিনি কোন কাজের আদেশ করেন, তখন একথাই বলেন, হয়ে যা’-তা হয়ে যায়।
It is He Who gives Life and Death; and when He decides upon an affair, He says to it, "Be", and it is. |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৬৮) |
| 47 |
যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে আপনাকে আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি যখন মানুষকে আমার রহমত আস্বাদন করাই, তখন সে উল্লসিত, আর যখন তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদের কোন অনিষ্ট ঘটে, তখন মানুষ খুব অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
If then they run away, We have not sent thee as a guard over them. Thy duty is but to convey (the Message). And truly, when We give man a taste of a Mercy from Ourselves, he doth exult thereat, but when some ill happens to him, on account of the deeds which his hands have sent forth, truly then is man ungrateful! |

তিনি মুমিনদের অন্তরে প্রশান্তি নাযিল করেন, যাতে তাদের ঈমানের সাথে আরও ঈমান বেড়ে যায়। নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের বাহিনীসমূহ আল্লাহরই এবং আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
It is He Who sent down tranquillity into the hearts of the Believers, that they may add faith to their faith;- for to Allah belong the Forces of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is Full of Knowledge and Wisdom;- |

গৃহে অবস্থানকারী মরুবাসীদেরকে বলে দিনঃ আগামীতে তোমরা এক প্রবল পরাক্রান্ত জাতির সাথে যুদ্ধ করতে আহুত হবে। তোমরা তাদের সাথে যুদ্ধ করবে, যতক্ষণ না তারা মুসলমান হয়ে যায়। তখন যদি তোমরা নির্দেশ পালন কর, তবে আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে উত্তম পুরস্কার দিবেন। আর যদি পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন কর যেমন ইতিপূর্বে পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন করেছ, তবে তিনি তোমাদেরকে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি দিবেন।
Say to the desert Arabs who lagged behind: "Ye shall be summoned (to fight) against a people given to vehement war: then shall ye fight, or they shall submit. Then if ye show obedience, Allah will grant you a goodly reward, but if ye turn back as ye did before, He will punish you with a grievous Penalty." |

এবং দেয় সামান্যই ও পাষাণ হয়ে যায়।
Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? |
(আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 51 |
আমি তাদের প্রতি একটিমাত্র নিনাদ প্রেরণ করেছিলাম। এতেই তারা হয়ে গেল শুষ্ক শাখাপল্লব নির্মিত দলিত খোয়াড়ের ন্যায়।
For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle. |

আর থাকবে সমুন্নত শয্যায়।
And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |

পান করবে পিপাসিত উটের ন্যায়।
"Indeed ye shall drink like diseased camels raging with thirst!" |
(আল ওয়াক্বিয়া:
আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |

তোমরা জেনে রাখ, পার্থিব জীবন ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক, সাজ-সজ্জা, পারস্পরিক অহমিকা এবং ধন ও জনের প্রাচুর্য ব্যতীত আর কিছু নয়, যেমন এক বৃষ্টির অবস্থা, যার সবুজ ফসল কৃষকদেরকে চমৎকৃত করে, এরপর তা শুকিয়ে যায়, ফলে তুমি তাকে পীতবর্ণ দেখতে পাও, এরপর তা খড়কুটা হয়ে যায়। আর পরকালে আছে কঠিন শাস্তি এবং আল্লাহর ক্ষমা ও সন্তুষ্টি। পার্থিব জীবন প্রতারণার উপকরণ বৈ কিছু নয়।
Know ye (all), that the life of this world is but play and amusement, pomp and mutual boasting and multiplying, (in rivalry) among yourselves, riches and children. Here is a similitude: How rain and the growth which it brings forth, delight (the hearts of) the tillers; soon it withers; thou wilt see it grow yellow; then it becomes dry and crumbles away. But in the Hereafter is a Penalty severe (for the devotees of wrong). And Forgiveness from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure (for the devotees of Allah). And what is the life of this world, but goods and chattels of deception? |

মুমিনগণ, তোমরা আমার ও তোমাদের শত্রুদেরকে বন্ধরূপে গ্রহণ করো না। তোমরা তো তাদের প্রতি বন্ধুত্বের বার্তা পাঠাও, অথচ তারা যে সত্য তোমাদের কাছে আগমন করেছে, তা অস্বীকার করছে। তারা রসূলকে ও তোমাদেরকে বহিস্কার করে এই অপরাধে যে, তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস রাখ। যদি তোমরা আমার সন্তুষ্টিলাভের জন্যে এবং আমার পথে জেহাদ করার জন্যে বের হয়ে থাক, তবে কেন তাদের প্রতি গোপনে বন্ধুত্বের পয়গাম প্রেরণ করছ? তোমরা যা গোপন কর এবং যা প্রকাশ কর, ত আমি খুব জানি। তোমাদের মধ্যে যে এটা করে, সে সরলপথ থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়ে যায়।
O ye who believe! Take not my enemies and yours as friends (or protectors),- offering them (your) love, even though they have rejected the Truth that has come to you, and have (on the contrary) driven out the Prophet and yourselves (from your homes), (simply) because ye believe in Allah your Lord! If ye have come out to strive in My Way and to seek My Good Pleasure, (take them not as friends), holding secret converse of love (and friendship) with them: for I know full well all that ye conceal and all that ye reveal. And any of you that does this has strayed from the Straight Path. |

তারা যখন কোন ব্যবসায়ের সুযোগ অথবা ক্রীড়াকৌতুক দেখে তখন আপনাকে দাঁড়ানো অবস্থায় রেখে তারা সেদিকে ছুটে যায়। বলুনঃ আল্লাহর কাছে যা আছে, তা ক্রীড়াকৌতুক ও ব্যবসায় অপেক্ষা উৎকৃষ্ট। আল্লাহ সর্বোত্তম রিযিকদাতা।
But when they see some bargain or some amusement, they disperse headlong to it, and leave thee standing. Say: "The (blessing) from the Presence of Allah is better than any amusement or bargain! and Allah is the Best to provide (for all needs)." |

আর যখন কল্যাণপ্রাপ্ত হয়, তখন কৃপণ হয়ে যায়।
And niggardly when good reaches him;- |

আমি শপথ করি যেসব নক্ষত্রগুলো পশ্চাতে সরে যায়।
So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, |
