আর যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয় যে, দুনিয়ার বুকে দাঙ্গা-হাঙ্গামা সৃষ্টি করো না, তখন তারা বলে, আমরা তো মীমাংসার পথ অবলম্বন করেছি।
When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" |

যদি কেউ ওসীয়তকারীর পক্ষ থেকে আশংকা করে পক্ষপাতিত্বের অথবা কোন অপরাধমূলক সিদ্ধান্তের এবং তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করে দেয়, তবে তার কোন গোনাহ হবে না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তা’আলা ক্ষমাশীল, অতি দয়ালু।
But if anyone fears partiality or wrong-doing on the part of the testator, and makes peace between (The parties concerned), there is no wrong in him: For Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. |

তারা কি সে দিকেই তাকিয়ে রয়েছে যে, মেঘের আড়ালে তাদের সামনে আসবেন আল্লাহ ও ফেরেশতাগণ ? আর তাতেই সব মীমাংসা হয়ে যাবে। বস্তুতঃ সবকার্যকলাপই আল্লাহর নিকট গিয়ে পৌঁছবে।
Will they wait until Allah comes to them in canopies of clouds, with angels (in His train) and the question is (thus) settled? but to Allah do all questions go back (for decision). |

সকল মানুষ একই জাতি সত্তার অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ তা’আলা পয়গম্বর পাঠালেন সুসংবাদদাতা ও ভীতি প্রদর্শনকরী হিসাবে। আর তাঁদের সাথে অবর্তীণ করলেন সত্য কিতাব, যাতে মানুষের মাঝে বিতর্কমূলক বিষয়ে মীমাংসা করতে পারেন। বস্তুতঃ কিতাবের ব্যাপারে অন্য কেউ মতভেদ করেনি; কিন্তু পরিষ্কার নির্দেশ এসে যাবার পর নিজেদের পারস্পরিক জেদবশতঃ তারাই করেছে, যারা কিতাব প্রাপ্ত হয়েছিল। অতঃপর আল্লাহ ঈমানদারদেরকে হেদায়েত করেছেন সেই সত্য বিষয়ে, যে ব্যাপারে তারা মতভেদ লিপ্ত হয়েছিল। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা, সরল পথ বাতলে দেন।
Mankind was one single nation, and Allah sent Messengers with glad tidings and warnings; and with them He sent the Book in truth, to judge between people in matters wherein they differed; but the People of the Book, after the clear Signs came to them, did not differ among themselves, except through selfish contumacy. Allah by His Grace Guided the believers to the Truth, concerning that wherein they differed. For Allah guided whom He will to a path that is straight. |

আর নিজেদের শপথের জন্য আল্লাহর নামকে লক্ষ্যবস্তু বানিও না মানুষের সাথে কোন আচার আচরণ থেকে পরহেযগারী থেকে এবং মানুষের মাঝে মীমাংসা করে দেয়া থেকে বেঁচে থাকার উদ্দেশ্যে। আল্লাহ সবকিছুই শুনেন ও জানেন।
And make not Allah's (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for Allah is One Who heareth and knoweth all things. |

নাযিল করেছেন তাওরত ও ইঞ্জিল, এ কিতাবের পূর্বে, মানুষের হেদায়েতের জন্যে এবং অবতীর্ণ করেছেন মীমাংসা। নিঃসন্দেহে যারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ অস্বীকার করে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠিন আযাব। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন পরাক্রমশীল, প্রতিশোধ গ্রহণকারী।
Then those who reject Faith in the Signs of Allah will suffer the severest penalty, and Allah is Exalted in Might, Lord of Retribution. |

আপনি কি তাদের দেখেননি, যারা কিতাবের কিছু অংশ পেয়েছে-আল্লাহর কিতাবের প্রতি তাদের আহবান করা হয়েছিল যাতে তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করা যায়। অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে একদল তা অমান্য করে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who have been given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of Allah, to settle their dispute, but a party of them Turn back and decline (The arbitration). |

যদি তাদের মধ্যে সম্পর্কচ্ছেদ হওয়ার মত পরিস্থিতিরই আশঙ্কা কর, তবে স্বামীর পরিবার থেকে একজন এবং স্ত্রীর পরিবার থেকে একজন সালিস নিযুক্ত করবে। তারা উভয়ের মীমাংসা চাইলে আল্লাহ সর্বজ্ঞ, সবকিছু অবহিত।
If ye fear a breach between them twain, appoint (two) arbiters, one from his family, and the other from hers; if they wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation: For Allah hath full knowledge, and is acquainted with all things. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৩৫) |

নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে নির্দেশ দেন যে, তোমরা যেন প্রাপ্য আমানতসমূহ প্রাপকদের নিকট পৌছে দাও। আর যখন তোমরা মানুষের কোন বিচার-মীমাংসা করতে আরম্ভ কর, তখন মীমাংসা কর ন্যায় ভিত্তিক। আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে সদুপদেশ দান করেন। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, দর্শনকারী।
Allah doth command you to render back your Trusts to those to whom they are due; And when ye judge between man and man, that ye judge with justice: Verily how excellent is the teaching which He giveth you! For Allah is He Who heareth and seeth all things. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |

অতএব, তোমার পালনকর্তার কসম, সে লোক ঈমানদার হবে না, যতক্ষণ না তাদের মধ্যে সৃষ্ট বিবাদের ব্যাপারে তোমাকে ন্যায়বিচারক বলে মনে না করে। অতঃপর তোমার মীমাংসার ব্যাপারে নিজের মনে কোন রকম সংকীর্ণতা পাবে না এবং তা হূষ্টচিত্তে কবুল করে নেবে।
But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. |

যদি কোন নারী স্বীয় স্বামীর পক্ষ থেকে অসদাচরণ কিংবা উপেক্ষার আশংকা করে, তবে পরস্পর কোন মীমাংসা করে নিলে তাদের উভয়ের কোন গোনাহ নাই। মীমাংসা উত্তম। মনের সামনে লোভ বিদ্যমান আছে। যদি তোমরা উত্তম কাজ কর এবং খোদাভীরু হও, তবে, আল্লাহ তোমাদের সব কাজের খবর রাখেন।
If a wife fears cruelty or desertion on her husband's part, there is no blame on them if they arrange an amicable settlement between themselves; and such settlement is best; even though men's souls are swayed by greed. But if ye do good and practise self-restraint, Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. |

আয়াতঃ ১২৮) |

এরা এমনি মুনাফেক যারা তোমাদের কল্যাণ-অকল্যাণের প্রতীক্ষায় ওঁৎপেতে থাকে। অতঃপর আল্লাহর ইচ্ছায় তোমাদের যদি কোন বিজয় অর্জিত হয়, তবে তারা বলে, আমরাও কি তোমাদের সাথে ছিলাম না? পক্ষান্তরে কাফেরদের যদি আংশিক বিজয় হয়, তবে বলে, আমরা কি তোমাদেরকে ঘিরে রাখিনি এবং মুসলমানদের কবল থেকে রক্ষা করিনি? সুতরাং আল্লাহ তোমাদের মধ্যে কেয়ামতের দিন মীমাংসা করবেন এবং কিছুতেই আল্লাহ কাফেরদেরকে মুসলমানদের উপর বিজয় দান করবেন না।
(These are) the ones who wait and watch about you: if ye do gain a victory from Allah, they say: "Were we not with you?"- but if the unbelievers gain a success, they say (to them): "Did we not gain an advantage over you, and did we not guard you from the believers?" but Allah will judge betwixt you on the Day of Judgment. And never will Allah grant to the unbelievers a way (to triumphs) over the believers. |

আয়াতঃ ১৪১) |

আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমার কাছে প্রতিপালকের পক্ষ থেকে একটি প্রমাণ আছে এবং তোমরা তার প্রতি মিথ্যারোপ করেছ। তোমরা যে বস্তু শীঘ্র দাবী করছ, তা আমার কাছে নেই। আল্লাহ ছাড়া কারো নির্দেশ চলে না। তিনি সত্য বর্ণনা করেন এবং তিনিই শ্রেষ্ঠতম মীমাংসাকারী।
Say: "For me, I (work) on a clear sign from my Lord, but ye reject Him. What ye would see hastened, is not in my power. The command rests with none but Allah: He declares the truth, and He is the best of judges." |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৫৭) |
| 14 |
আর যদি তোমাদের একদল ঐ বিষয়ের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে যা নিয়ে আমি প্রেরিত হয়েছি এবং একদল বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে যা নিয়ে আমি প্রেরিত হয়েছি এবং একদল বিশ্বাস স্থাপন না করে, তবে ছবর কর যে পর্যন্ত আল্লাহ আমাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা না করে দেন। তিনিই শ্রেষ্ট মীমাংসাকারী।
"And if there is a party among you who believes in the message with which I have been sent, and a party which does not believe, hold yourselves in patience until Allah doth decide between us: for He is the best to decide. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৮৭) |

তোমরা যদি মীমাংসা কামনা কর, তাহলে তোমাদের নিকট মীমাংসা পৌছে গেছে। আর যদি তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তন কর, তবে তা তোমাদের জন্য উত্তম এবং তোমরা যদি তাই কর, তবে আমি ও তেমনি করব। বস্তুতঃ তোমাদের কোনই কাজে আসবে না তোমাদের দল-বল, তা যত বেশীই হোক। জেনে রেখ আল্লাহ রয়েছেন ঈমানদারদের সাথে।
(O Unbelievers!) if ye prayed for victory and judgment, now hath the judgment come to you: if ye desist (from wrong), it will be best for you: if ye return (to the attack), so shall We. Not the least good will your forces be to you even if they were multiplied: for verily Allah is with those who believe! |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ১৯) |
| 16 |
আর সমস্ত মানুষ একই উম্মতভুক্ত ছিল, পরে পৃথক হয়ে গেছে। আর একটি কথা যদি তোমার পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ থেকে পূর্ব নির্ধারিত না হয়ে যেত; তবে তারা যে বিষয়ে বিরোধ করছে তার মীমাংসা হয়ে যেত।
Mankind was but one nation, but differed (later). Had it not been for a word that went forth before from thy Lord, their differences would have been settled between them. |

আর আমি বনী-ইসরাঈলদিগকে দান করেছি উত্তম স্থান এবং তাদেরকে আহার্য দিয়েছি পবিত্র-পরিচ্ছন্ন বস্তু-সামগ্রী। বস্তুতঃ তাদের মধ্যে মতবিরোধ হয়নি যতক্ষণ না তাদের কাছে এসে পৌছেছে সংবাদ। নিঃসন্দেহে তোমার পরওয়ারদেগার তাদের মাঝে মীমাংসা করে দেবেন কেয়ামতের দিন; যে ব্যাপারে তাদের মাঝে মতবিরোধ হয়েছিল
We settled the Children of Israel in a beautiful dwelling-place, and provided for them sustenance of the best: it was after knowledge had been granted to them, that they fell into schisms. Verily Allah will judge between them as to the schisms amongst them, on the Day of Judgment. |

| 18 |
আপনি তাদেরকে পরিতাপের দিবস সম্পর্কে হুশিয়ার করে দিন যখন সব ব্যাপারের মীমাংসা হয়ে যাবে। এখন তারা অনবধানতায় আছে এবং তারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করছে না।
But warn them of the Day of Distress, when the matter will be determined: for (behold,) they are negligent and they do not believe! |

| 19 |
আমি মূসা ও হারুণকে দান করেছিলাম মীমাংসাকারী গ্রন্থ, আলো ও উপদেশ, আল্লাহ ভীরুদের জন্যে
In the past We granted to Moses and Aaron the criterion (for judgment), and a Light and a Message for those who would do right,- |

আয়াতঃ ৪৮) |
| 20 |
যদি মুমিনদের দুই দল যুদ্ধে লিপ্ত হয়ে পড়ে, তবে তোমরা তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করে দিবে। অতঃপর যদি তাদের একদল অপর দলের উপর চড়াও হয়, তবে তোমরা আক্রমণকারী দলের বিরুদ্ধে যুদ্ধ করবে; যে পর্যন্ত না তারা আল্লাহর নির্দেশের দিকে ফিরে আসে। যদি ফিরে আসে, তবে তোমরা তাদের মধ্যে ন্যায়ানুগ পন্থায় মীমাংসা করে দিবে এবং ইনছাফ করবে। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ইনছাফকারীদেরকে পছন্দ করেন।
If two parties among the Believers fall into a quarrel, make ye peace between them: but if one of them transgresses beyond bounds against the other, then fight ye (all) against the one that transgresses until it complies with the command of Allah; but if it complies, then make peace between them with justice, and be fair: for Allah loves those who are fair (and just). |

আয়াতঃ ৯) |

মুমিনরা তো পরস্পর ভাই-ভাই। অতএব, তোমরা তোমাদের দুই ভাইয়ের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করবে এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় করবে-যাতে তোমরা অনুগ্রহপ্রাপ্ত হও।
The Believers are but a single Brotherhood: So make peace and reconciliation between your two (contending) brothers; and fear Allah, that ye may receive Mercy. |
