বিদ্যুতালোকে যখন সামান্য আলোকিত হয়, তখন কিছুটা পথ চলে। আবার যখন অন্ধকার হয়ে যায়, তখন ঠাঁয় দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। যদি আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করেন, তাহলে তাদের শ্রবণশক্তি ও দৃষ্টিশক্তি ছিনিয়ে নিতে পারেন। আল্লাহ যাবতীয় বিষয়ের উপর সর্বময় ক্ষমতাশীল।
The lightning all but snatches away their sight; every time the light (Helps) them, they walk therein, and when the darkness grows on them, they stand still. And if Allah willed, He could take away their faculty of hearing and seeing; for Allah hath power over all things. |

আর সে দিনের ভয় কর, যখন কেউ কারও সামান্য উপকারে আসবে না এবং তার পক্ষে কোন সুপারিশও কবুল হবে না; কারও কাছ থেকে ক্ষতিপূরণও নেয়া হবে না এবং তারা কোন রকম সাহায্যও পাবে না।
Then guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another nor shall intercession be accepted for her, nor shall compensation be taken from her, nor shall anyone be helped (from outside). |

অতএব তাদের জন্যে আফসোস! যারা নিজ হাতে গ্রন্থ লেখে এবং বলে, এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে অবতীর্ণ-যাতে এর বিনিময়ে সামান্য অর্থ গ্রহণ করতে পারে। অতএব তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের হাতের লেখার জন্য এবং তাদের প্রতি আক্ষেপ, তাদের উপার্জনের জন্যে।
Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands, and then say:"This is from Allah," to traffic with it for miserable price!- Woe to them for what their hands do write, and for the gain they make thereby. |

যখন আমি বনী-ইসরাঈলের কাছ থেকে অঙ্গীকার নিলাম যে, তোমরা আল্লাহ ছাড়া কারও উপাসনা করবে না, পিতা-মাতা, আত্নীয়-স্বজন, এতীম ও দীন-দরিদ্রদের সাথে সদ্ব্যবহার করবে, মানুষকে সৎ কথাবার্তা বলবে, নামায প্রতিষ্ঠা করবে এবং যাকাত দেবে, তখন সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া তোমরা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নিলে, তোমরাই অগ্রাহ্যকারী।
And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): Worship none but Allah; treat with kindness your parents and kindred, and orphans and those in need; speak fair to the people; be steadfast in prayer; and practise regular charity. Then did ye turn back, except a few among you, and ye backslide (even now). |

আর যখন আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশ্রুতি নিলাম এবং তুর পর্বতকে তোমাদের উপর তুলে ধরলাম যে, শক্ত করে ধর, আমি যা তোমাদের দিয়েছি আর শোন। তারা বলল, আমরা শুনেছি আর অমান্য করেছি। কুফরের কারণে তাদের অন্তরে গোবৎসপ্রীতি পান করানো হয়েছিল। বলে দিন, তোমরা বিশ্বাসী হলে, তোমাদের সে বিশ্বাস মন্দ বিষয়াদি শিক্ষা দেয়।
And remember We took your covenant and We raised above you (the towering height) of Mount (Sinai): (Saying): "Hold firmly to what We have given you, and hearken (to the Law)": They said:" We hear, and we disobey:" And they had to drink into their hearts (of the taint) of the calf because of their Faithlessness. Say: "Vile indeed are the behests of your Faith if ye have any faith!" |

আর আমার বান্দারা যখন তোমার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে আমার ব্যাপারে বস্তুতঃ আমি রয়েছি সন্নিকটে। যারা প্রার্থনা করে, তাদের প্রার্থনা কবুল করে নেই, যখন আমার কাছে প্রার্থনা করে। কাজেই আমার হুকুম মান্য করা এবং আমার প্রতি নিঃসংশয়ে বিশ্বাস করা তাদের একান্ত কর্তব্য। যাতে তারা সৎপথে আসতে পারে।
When My servants ask thee concerning Me, I am indeed close (to them): I listen to the prayer of every suppliant when he calleth on Me: Let them also, with a will, Listen to My call, and believe in Me: That they may walk in the right way. |

মূসার পরে তুমি কি বনী ইসরাঈলের একটি দলকে দেখনি, যখন তারা বলেছে নিজেদের নবীর কাছে যে, আমাদের জন্য একজন বাদশাহ নির্ধারিত করে দিন যাতে আমরা আল্লাহর পথে যুদ্ধ করতে পারি। নবী বললেন, তোমাদের প্রতিও কি এমন ধারণা করা যায় যে, লড়াইর হুকুম যদি হয়, তাহলে তখন তোমরা লড়বে না? তারা বলল, আমাদের কি হয়েছে যে, আমরা আল্লাহর পথে লড়াই করব না। অথচ আমরা বিতাড়িত হয়েছি নিজেদের ঘর-বাড়ী ও সন্তান-সন্ততি থেকে। অতঃপর যখন লড়াইয়ের নির্দেশ হলো, তখন সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া তাদের সবাই ঘুরে দাঁড়ালো। আর আল্লাহ তা’আলা জালেমদের ভাল করেই জানেন।
Hast thou not Turned thy vision to the Chiefs of the Children of Israel after (the time of) Moses? they said to a prophet (That was) among them: "Appoint for us a king, that we May fight in the cause of Allah." He said: "Is it not possible, if ye were commanded to fight, that that ye will not fight?" They said: "How could we refuse to fight in the cause of Allah, seeing that we were turned out of our homes and our families?" but when they were commanded to fight, they turned back, except a small band among them. But Allah Has full knowledge of those who do wrong. |

অতঃপর তালূত যখন সৈন্য-সামন্ত নিয়ে বেরুল, তখন বলল, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে পরীক্ষা করবেন একটি নদীর মাধ্যমে। সুতরাং যে লোক সেই নদীর পানি পান করবে সে আমার নয়। আর যে, লোক তার স্বাদ গ্রহণ করলো না, নিশ্চয়ই সে আমার লোক। কিন্তু যে লোক হাতের আঁজলা ভরে সামান্য খেয়ে নেবে তার দোষঅবশ্য তেমন গুরুতর হবে না। অতঃপর সবাই পান করল সে পানি, সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া। পরে তালূত যখন তা পার হলো এবং তার সাথে ছিল মাত্র কয়েকজন ঈমানদার, তখন তারা বলতে লাগল, আজকের দিনে জালূত এবং তার সেনাবাহিনীর সাথে যুদ্ধ করার শক্তি আমাদের নেই, যাদের ধারণা ছিল যে, আল্লাহর সামনে তাদের একদিন উপস্থিত হতে হবে, তারা বার বার বলতে লাগল, সামান্য দলই বিরাট দলের মোকাবেলায় জয়ী হয়েছে আল্লাহর হুকুমে। আর যারা ধৈর্য্যশীল আল্লাহ তাদের সাথে রয়েছেন।
When Talut set forth with the armies, he said: "Allah will test you at the stream: if any drinks of its water, He goes not with my army: Only those who taste not of it go with me: A mere sip out of the hand is excused." but they all drank of it, except a few. When they crossed the river,- He and the faithful ones with him,- they said: "This day We cannot cope with Goliath and his forces." but those who were convinced that they must meet Allah, said: "How oft, by Allah's will, Hath a small force vanquished a big one? Allah is with those who steadfastly persevere." |

আয়াতঃ ২৪৯) |

আপনি কি তাদের দেখেননি, যারা কিতাবের কিছু অংশ পেয়েছে-আল্লাহর কিতাবের প্রতি তাদের আহবান করা হয়েছিল যাতে তাদের মধ্যে মীমাংসা করা যায়। অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে একদল তা অমান্য করে মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়।
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who have been given a portion of the Book? They are invited to the Book of Allah, to settle their dispute, but a party of them Turn back and decline (The arbitration). |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ২৩) |
| 10 |
তা এজন্য যে, তারা বলে থাকে যে, দোযখের আগুন আমাদের স্পর্শ করবে না; তবে সামান্য হাতে গোনা কয়েকদিনের জন্য স্পর্শ করতে পারে। নিজেদের উদ্ভাবিত ভিত্তিহীন কথায় তারা ধোকা খেয়েছে।
This because they say: "The Fire shall not touch us but for a few numbered days": For their forgeries deceive them as to their own religion. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ২৪) |
| 11 |
হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা! আমরা সে বিষয়ের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি যা তুমি নাযিল করেছ, আমরা রসূলের অনুগত হয়েছি। অতএব, আমাদিগকে মান্যকারীদের তালিকাভুক্ত করে নাও।
"Our Lord! we believe in what Thou hast revealed, and we follow the Messenger; then write us down among those who bear witness." |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৫৩) |
| 12 |
যারা আল্লাহর নামে কৃত অঙ্গীকার এবং প্রতিজ্ঞা সামান্য মুল্যে বিক্রয় করে, আখেরাতে তাদের কেন অংশ নেই। আর তাদের সাথে কেয়ামতের দিন আল্লাহ কথা বলবেন না। তাদের প্রতি (করুণার) দৃষ্টিও দেবেন না। আর তাদেরকে পরিশুদ্ধও করবেন না। বস্তুতঃ তাদের জন্য রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক আযাব।
As for those who sell the faith they owe to Allah and their own plighted word for a small price, they shall have no portion in the Hereafter: Nor will Allah (Deign to) speak to them or look at them on the Day of Judgment, nor will He cleans them (of sin): They shall have a grievous penalty. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |
| 13 |
বলুন, হে আহলে কিতাবগণ, কেন তোমরা আল্লাহর কিতাব অমান্য করছো, অথচ তোমরা যা কিছু কর, তা আল্লাহর সামনেই রয়েছে।
Say: "O People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, when Allah is Himself witness to all ye do?" |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ৯৮) |
| 14 |
যৎসামান্য কষ্ট দেয়া ছাড়া তারা তোমাদের কোনই ক্ষতি করতে পারবে না। আর যদি তারা তোমাদের সাথে লড়াই করে, তাহলে তারা পশ্চাদপসরণ করবে। অতঃপর তাদের সাহায্য করা হবে না।
They will do you no harm, barring a trifling annoyance; if they come out to fight you, they will show you their backs, and no help shall they get. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১১১) |
| 15 |
যারা আহত হয়ে পড়ার পরেও আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রসূলের নির্দেশ মান্য করেছে, তাদের মধ্যে যারা সৎ ও পরহেযগার, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে মহান সওয়াব।
Of those who answered the call of Allah and the Messenger, even after being wounded, those who do right and refrain from wrong have a great reward;- |

আয়াতঃ ১৭২) |
| 16 |
আর আল্লাহ যখন আহলে কিতাবদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিজ্ঞা গ্রহণ করলেন যে, তা মানুষের নিকট বর্ণনা করবে এবং গোপন করবে না, তখন তারা সে প্রতিজ্ঞাকে নিজেদের পেছনে ফেলে রাখল আর তার কেনা-বেচা করল সামান্য মূল্যের বিনিময়ে। সুতরাং কতই না মন্দ তাদের এ বেচা-কেনা।
And remember Allah took a covenant from the People of the Book, to make it known and clear to mankind, and not to hide it; but they threw it away behind their backs, and purchased with it some miserable gain! And vile was the bargain they made! |

আয়াতঃ ১৮৭) |
| 17 |
এটা হলো সামান্য ফায়দা-এরপর তাদের ঠিকানা হবে দোযখ। আর সেটি হলো অতি নিকৃষ্ট অবস্থান।
Little is it for enjoyment: Their ultimate abode is Hell: what an evil bed (To lie on)! |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৯৭) |
| 18 |
কোন কোন ইহুদী তার লক্ষ্য থেকে কথার মোড় ঘুড়িয়ে নেয় এবং বলে, আমরা শুনেছি কিন্তু অমান্য করছি। তারা আরো বলে, শোন, না শোনার মত। মুখ বাঁকিয়ে দ্বীনের প্রতি তাচ্ছিল্য প্রদর্শনের উদ্দেশে বলে, রায়েনা’ (আমাদের রাখাল)। অথচ যদি তারা বলত যে, আমরা শুনেছি ও মান্য করেছি এবং (যদি বলত, ) শোন এবং আমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য রাখ, তবে তাই ছিল তাদের জন্য উত্তম আর সেটাই ছিল যথার্থ ও সঠিক। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি অভিসম্পাত করেছেন তাদের কুফরীর দরুন। অতএব, তারা ঈমান আনছে না, কিন্তু অতি অল্পসংখ্যক।
Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places, and say: "We hear and we disobey"; and "Hear what is not Heard"; and "Ra'ina"; with a twist of their tongues and a slander to Faith. If only they had said: "What hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us"; it would have been better for them, and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their Unbelief; and but few of them will believe. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৪৬) |
| 19 |
তুমি কি তাদেরকে দেখনি, যারা কিতাবের কিছু অংশ প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে, যারা মান্য করে প্রতিমা ও শয়তানকে এবং কাফেরদেরকে বলে যে, এরা মুসলমানদের তুলনায় অধিকতর সরল সঠিক পথে রয়েছে।
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who were given a portion of the Book? they believe in sorcery and Evil, and say to the Unbelievers that they are better guided in the (right) way Than the believers! |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৫১) |
| 20 |
অতঃপর তাদের কেউ তাকে মান্য করেছে আবার কেউ তার কাছ থেকে দূরে সরে রয়েছে। বস্তুতঃ (তাদের জন্য) দোযখের শিখায়িত আগুনই যথেষ্ট।
Some of them believed, and some of them averted their faces from him: And enough is Hell for a burning fire. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৫) |
| 21 |
হে ঈমানদারগণ! আল্লাহর নির্দেশ মান্য কর, নির্দেশ মান্য কর রসূলের এবং তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা বিচারক তাদের। তারপর যদি তোমরা কোন বিষয়ে বিবাদে প্রবৃত্ত হয়ে পড়, তাহলে তা আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি প্রত্যর্পণ কর-যদি তোমরা আল্লাহ ও কেয়ামত দিবসের উপর বিশ্বাসী হয়ে থাক। আর এটাই কল্যাণকর এবং পরিণতির দিক দিয়ে উত্তম।
O ye who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you. If ye differ in anything among yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe in Allah and the Last Day: That is best, and most suitable for final determination. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৫৯) |
| 22 |
আপনি কি তাদেরকে দেখেননি, যারা দাবী করে যে, যা আপনার প্রতি অবর্তীর্ণ হয়েছে আমরা সে বিষয়ের উপর ঈমান এনেছি এবং আপনার পূর্বে যা অবর্তীণ হয়েছে। তারা বিরোধীয় বিষয়কে শয়তানের দিকে নিয়ে যেতে চায়, অথচ তাদের প্রতি নির্দেশ হয়েছে, যাতে তারা ওকে মান্য না করে। পক্ষান্তরে শয়তান তাদেরকে প্রতারিত করে পথভ্রষ্ট করে ফেলতে চায়।
Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their disputes) to the Evil One, though they were ordered to reject him. But Satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the right). |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৬০) |
| 23 |
বস্তুতঃ আমি একমাত্র এই উদ্দেশ্যেই রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, যাতে আল্লাহর নির্দেশানুযায়ী তাঁদের আদেশ-নিষেধ মান্য করা হয়। আর সেসব লোক যখন নিজেদের অনিষ্ট সাধন করেছিল, তখন যদি আপনার কাছে আসত অতঃপর আল্লাহর নিকট ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা করত এবং রসূলও যদি তাদেরকে ক্ষমা করিয়ে দিতেন। অবশ্যই তারা আল্লাহকে ক্ষমাকারী, মেহেরবানরূপে পেত।
We sent not a messenger, but to be obeyed, in accordance with the will of Allah. If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৬৪) |
| 24 |
আর যে কেউ আল্লাহর হুকুম এবং তাঁর রসূলের হুকুম মান্য করবে, তাহলে যাঁদের প্রতি আল্লাহ নেয়ামত দান করেছেন, সে তাঁদের সঙ্গী হবে। তাঁরা হলেন নবী, ছিদ্দীক, শহীদ ও সৎকর্মশীল ব্যক্তিবর্গ। আর তাদের সান্নিধ্যই হল উত্তম।
All who obey Allah and the messenger are in the company of those on whom is the Grace of Allah,- of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the Righteous (who do good): Ah! what a beautiful fellowship! |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |
| 25 |
যে লোক রসূলের হুকুম মান্য করবে সে আল্লাহরই হুকুম মান্য করল। আর যে লোক বিমুখতা অবলম্বন করল, আমি আপনাকে (হে মুহাম্মদ), তাদের জন্য রক্ষণাবেক্ষণকারী নিযুক্ত করে পাঠাইনি।
He who obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah: But if any turn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their (evil deeds). |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৮০) |
| 26 |
কিন্তু যারা তাদের মধ্যে জ্ঞানপক্ক ও ঈমানদার, তারা তাও মান্য করে যা আপনার উপর অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে এবং যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে আপনার পূর্বে। আর যারা নামাযে অনুবর্তিতা পালনকারী, যারা যাকাত দানকারী এবং যারা আল্লাহ ও কেয়ামতে আস্থাশীল। বস্তুতঃ এমন লোকদেরকে আমি দান করবো মহাপুণ্য।
But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what was revealed before thee: And (especially) those who establish regular prayer and practise regular charity and believe in Allah and in the Last Day: To them shall We soon give a great reward. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৬২) |
| 27 |
হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! তোমরা দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে বাড়াবাড়ি করো না এবং আল্লাহর শানে নিতান্ত সঙ্গত বিষয় ছাড়া কোন কথা বলো না। নিঃসন্দেহে মরিয়ম পুত্র মসীহ ঈসা আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর বাণী যা তিনি প্রেরণ করেছেন মরিয়মের নিকট এবং রূহ-তাঁরই কাছ থেকে আগত। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে এবং তার রসূলগণকে মান্য কর। আর একথা বলো না যে, আল্লাহ তিনের এক, একথা পরিহার কর; তোমাদের মঙ্গল হবে। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ একক উপাস্য। সন্তান-সন্ততি হওয়াটা তাঁর যোগ্য বিষয় নয়। যা কিছু আসমান সমূহ ও যমীনে রয়েছে সবই তার। আর কর্মবিধানে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট।
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ১৭১) |

আর তারা রসূলের প্রতি যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে, তা যখন শুনে, তখন আপনি তাদের চোখ অশ্রু সজল দেখতে পাবেন; এ কারণে যে, তারা সত্যকে চিনে নিয়েছে। তারা বলেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতি পালক, আমরা মুসলমান হয়ে গেলাম। অতএব, আমাদেরকেও মান্যকারীদের তালিকাভুক্ত করে নিন।
And when they listen to the revelation received by the Messenger, thou wilt see their eyes overflowing with tears, for they recognise the truth: they pray: "Our Lord! we believe; write us down among the witnesses. |
(আল মায়িদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৮৩) |
| 29 |
তারা আরও বলে যে, তাঁর কাছে কোন ফেরেশতা কেন প্রেরণ করা হল না ? যদি আমি কোন ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করতাম, তবে গোটা ব্যাপারটাই শেষ হয়ে যেত। অতঃপর তাদেরকে সামান্যও অবকাশ দেওয়া হতনা।
They say: "Why is not an angel sent down to him?" If we did send down an angel, the matter would be settled at once, and no respite would be granted them. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 30 |
দোযখীরা জান্নাতীদেরকে ডেকে বলবেঃ আমাদের উপর সামান্য পানি নিক্ষেপ কর অথবা আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যে রুযী দিয়েছেন, তা থেকেই কিছু দাও। তারা বলবেঃ আল্লাহ এই উভয় বস্তু কাফেরদের জন্যে নিষিদ্ধ করেছেন,
The Companions of the Fire will call to the Companions of the Garden: "Pour down to us water or anything that Allah doth provide for your sustenance." They will say: "Both these things hath Allah forbidden to those who rejected Him." |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 31 |
অনন্তর আমি তাকে ও তার সঙ্গীদেরকে স্বীয় অনুগ্রহে রক্ষা করলাম এবং যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহে মিথ্যারোপ করত তাদের মূল কেটে দিলাম। তারা মান্যকারী ছিল না।
We saved him and those who adhered to him. By Our mercy, and We cut off the roots of those who rejected Our signs and did not believe. |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৭২) |

অতঃপর তারা উষ্ট্রীকে হত্যা করল এবং স্বীয় প্রতিপালকের আদেশ অমান্য করল। তারা বললঃ হে ছালেহ, নিয়ে এস যদ্দ্বারা আমাদেরকে ভয় দেখাতে, যদি তুমি রসূল হয়ে থাক।
Then they ham-strung the she-camel, and insolently defied the order of their Lord, saying: "O Salih! bring about thy threats, if thou art a messenger (of Allah)!" |

আর তাদের অধিকাংশ লোককেই আমি প্রতিজ্ঞা বাস্তবায়নকারীরূপে পাইনি; বরং তাদের অধিকাংশকে পেয়েছি হুকুম অমান্যকারী।
Most of them We found not men (true) to their covenant: but most of them We found rebellious and disobedient. |

আপনার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে, গনীমতের হুকুম। বলে দিন, গণীমতের মাল হল আল্লাহর এবং রসূলের। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং নিজেদের অবস্থা সংশোধন করে নাও। আর আল্লাহ এবং তাঁর রসূলের হুকুম মান্য কর, যদি ঈমানদার হয়ে থাক।
They ask thee concerning (things taken as) spoils of war. Say: "(such) spoils are at the disposal of Allah and the Messenger: So fear Allah, and keep straight the relations between yourselves: Obey Allah and His Messenger, if ye do believe." |

হে ঈমানদারগণ, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের নির্দেশ মান্য কর এবং শোনার পর তা থেকে বিমুখ হয়ো না।
O ye who believe! Obey Allah and His Messenger, and turn not away from him when ye hear (him speak). |

হে ঈমানদারগণ, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের নির্দেশ মান্য কর, যখন তোমাদের সে কাজের প্রতি আহবান করা হয়, যাতে রয়েছে তোমাদের জীবন। জেনে রেখো, আল্লাহ মানুষের এবং তার অন্তরের মাঝে অন্তরায় হয়ে যান। বস্তুতঃ তোমরা সবাই তাঁরই নিকট সমবেত হবে।
O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. |

আর আল্লাহ তা’আলার নির্দেশ মান্য কর এবং তাঁর রসূলের। তাছাড়া তোমরা পরস্পরে বিবাদে লিপ্ত হইও না। যদি তা কর, তবে তোমরা কাপুরুষ হয়ে পড়বে এবং তোমাদের প্রভাব চলে যাবে। আর তোমরা ধৈর্য্যধারণ কর। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তা'আলা রয়েছেন ধৈর্য্যশীলদের সাথে।
And obey Allah and His Messenger; and fall into no disputes, lest ye lose heart and your power depart; and be patient and persevering: For Allah is with those who patiently persevere: |

অতএব, তারা সামান্য হেসে নিক এবং তারা তাদের কৃতকর্মের বদলাতে অনেক বেশী কাঁদবে।
Let them laugh a little: much will they weep: a recompense for the (evil) that they do. |

জিজ্ঞেস কর, আছে কি কেউ তোমাদের শরীকদের মধ্যে যে সত্য-সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করবে? বল, আল্লাহই সত্য-সঠিক পথ প্রদর্শন করেন, সুতরাং এমন যে লোক সঠিক পথ দেখাবে তার কথা মান্য করা কিংবা যে লোক নিজে নিজে পথ খুঁজে পায় না, তাকে পথ দেখানো কর্তব্য। অতএব, তোমাদের কি হল, কেমন তোমাদের বিচার?
Say: "Of your 'partners' is there any that can give any guidance towards truth?" Say: "It is Allah Who gives guidance towards truth, is then He Who gives guidance to truth more worthy to be followed, or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is guided? what then is the matter with you? How judge ye?" |

পার্থিবজীবনে সামান্যই লাভ, অতঃপর আমার নিকট প্রত্যাবর্তন করতে হবে। তখন আমি তাদেরকে আস্বাদন করাব কঠিন আযাব-তাদেরই কৃত কুফরীর বদলাতে।
A little enjoyment in this world!- and then, to Us will be their return, then shall We make them taste the severest penalty for their blasphemies. |

| 41 |
তাহলে আপনি বলে দিন, চেয়ে দেখ তো আসমানসমুহে ও যমীনে কি রয়েছে। আর কোন নিদর্শন এবং কোন ভীতিপ্রর্দশনই কোন কাজে আসে না সেসব লোকের জন্য যারা মান্য করে না।
Say: "Behold all that is in the heavens and on earth"; but neither Signs nor Warners profit those who believe not. |

এ ছিল আদ জাতি, যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার আয়াতকে অমান্য করেছে, আর তদীয় রসূলগণের অবাধ্যতা করেছে এবং প্রত্যেক উদ্ধত বিরোধীদের আদেশ পালন করেছে।
Such were the 'Ad People: they rejected the Signs of their Lord and Cherisher; disobeyed His messengers; And followed the command of every powerful, obstinate transgressor. |

শোয়ায়েব (আঃ) বললেন-হে দেশবাসী, তোমরা কি মনে কর! আমি যদি আমার পরওয়ারদেগারের পক্ষ হতে সুস্পষ্ট দলীলের উপর কায়েম থাকি আর তিনি যদি নিজের তরফ হতে আমাকে উত্তম রিযিক দান করে থাকেন, (তবে কি আমি তাঁর হুকুম অমান্য করতে পারি?) আর আমি চাই না যে তোমাদেরকে যা ছাড়াতে চাই পরে নিজেই সে কাজে লিপ্ত হব, আমি তো যথাসাধ্য শোধরাতে চাই। আল্লাহর মদদ দ্বারাই কিন্তু কাজ হয়ে থাকে, আমি তাঁর উপরই নির্ভর করি এবং তাঁরই প্রতি ফিরে যাই।
He said: "O my people! see ye whether I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord, and He hath given me sustenance (pure and) good as from Himself? I wish not, in opposition to you, to do that which I forbid you to do. I only desire (your) betterment to the best of my power; and my success (in my task) can only come from Allah. In Him I trust, and unto Him I look. |

এ হচ্ছে কয়েকটি জনপদের সামান্য ইতিবৃত্ত, যা আমি আপনাকে শোনাচ্ছি। তন্মধ্যে কোন কোনটি এখনও বর্তমান আছে আর কোন কোনটির শিকড় কেটে দেয়া হয়েছে।
These are some of the stories of communities which We relate unto thee: of them some are standing, and some have been mown down (by the sickle of time). |

বললঃ তোমরা সাত বছর উত্তম রূপে চাষাবাদ করবে। অতঃপর যা কাটবে, তার মধ্যে যে সামান্য পরিমাণ তোমরা খাবে তা ছাড়া অবশিষ্ট শস্য শীষ সমেত রেখে দেবে।
(Joseph) said: "For seven years shall ye diligently sow as is your wont: and the harvests that ye reap, ye shall leave them in the ear,- except a little, of which ye shall eat. |

আল্লাহ যার জন্যে ইচ্ছা রুযী প্রশস্ত করেন এবং সংকুচিত করেন। তারা পার্থিব জীবনের প্রতি মুগ্ধ। পার্থিবজীবন পরকালের সামনে অতি সামান্য সম্পদ বৈ নয়।
Allah doth enlarge, or grant by (strict) measure, the sustenance (which He giveth) to whomso He pleaseth. (The wordly) rejoice in the life of this world: But the life of this world is but little comfort in the Hereafter. |

আয়াতঃ ২৬) |

মানুষকে ঐ দিনের ভয় প্রদর্শন করুন, যেদিন তাদের কাছে আযাব আসবে। তখন জালেমরা বলবেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদেরকে সামান্য মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত সময় দিন, যাতে আমরা আপনার আহবানে সাড়া দিতে এবং পয়গম্বরগণের অনুসরণ করতে পারি। তোমরা কি ইতোপূর্বে কসম খেতে না যে, তোমাদেরকে দুনিয়া থেকে যেতে হবে না?
So warn mankind of the Day when the Wrath will reach them: then will the wrong-doers say: "Our Lord! respite us (if only) for a short term: we will answer Thy call, and follow the messengers!" "What! were ye not wont to swear aforetime that ye should suffer no decline? |

তারা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত এমন বস্তুর ইবাদত করে, যে তাদের জন্যে ভুমন্ডল ও নভোমন্ডল থেকে সামান্য রুযী দেওয়ার ও অধিকার রাখে না এবং মুক্তি ও রাখে না।
And worship others than Allah,- such as have no power of providing them, for sustenance, with anything in heavens or earth, and cannot possibly have such power? |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৭৩) |
| 49 |
তোমরা আল্লাহর অঙ্গীকারের বিনিময়ে সামান্য মূল্য গ্রহণ করো না। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহর কাছে যা আছে, তা উত্তম তোমাদের জন্যে, যদি তোমরা জ্ঞানী হও।
Nor sell the covenant of Allah for a miserable price: for with Allah is (a prize) far better for you, if ye only knew. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৯৫) |
| 50 |
যৎসামান্য সুখ-সম্ভোগ ভোগ করে নিক। তাদের জন্যে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি রয়েছে।
(In such falsehood) is but a paltry profit; but they will have a most grievous Penalty. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ১১৭) |

যেদিন তিনি তোমাদেরকে আহবান করবেন, অতঃপর তোমরা তাঁর প্রশংসা করতে করতে চলে আসবে। এবং তোমরা অনুমান করবে যে, সামান্য সময়ই অবস্থান করেছিলে।
"It will be on a Day when He will call you, and ye will answer (His call) with (words of) His praise, and ye will think that ye tarried but a little while!" |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৫২) |

সে বললঃ দেখুন তো, এনা সে ব্যক্তি, যাকে আপনি আমার চাইতেও উচ্চ মার্যাদা দিয়ে দিয়েছেন। যদি আপনি আমাকে কেয়ামত দিবস পর্যন্ত সময় দেন, তবে আমি সামান্য সংখ্যক ছাড়া তার বংশধরদেরকে সমূলে নষ্ট করে দেব।
He said: "Seest Thou? this is the one whom Thou hast honoured above me! If Thou wilt but respite me to the Day of Judgment, I will surely bring his descendants under my sway - all but a few!" |

আয়াতঃ ৬২) |

স্মরণ কর, যেদিন আমি প্রত্যেক দলকে তাদের নেতাসহ আহবান করব, অতঃপর যাদেরকে তাদের ডান হাতে আমলনামা দেয়া হবে, তারা নিজেদের আমলনামা পাঠ করবে এবং তাদের প্রতি সামান্য পরিমাণও জুলুম হবে না।
One day We shall call together all human beings with their (respective) Imams: those who are given their record in their right hand will read it (with pleasure), and they will not be dealt with unjustly in the least. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৭১) |

তারা আপনাকে রূহ সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করে। বলে দিনঃ রূহ আমার পালনকর্তার আদেশ ঘটিত। এ বিষয়ে তোমাদেরকে সামান্য জ্ঞানই দান করা হয়েছে।
They ask thee concerning the Spirit (of inspiration). Say: "The Spirit (cometh) by command of my Lord: of knowledge it is only a little that is communicated to you, (O men!)" |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৮৫) |

বলুনঃ তোমরা কোরআনকে মান্য কর অথবা অমান্য কর; যারা এর পূর্ব থেকে এলেম প্রাপ্ত হয়েছে, যখন তাদের কাছে এর তেলাওয়াত করা হয়, তখন তারা নতমস্তকে সেজদায় লুটিয়ে পড়ে।
Say: "Whether ye believe in it or not, it is true that those who were given knowledge beforehand, when it is recited to them, fall down on their faces in humble prostration, |

বলুনঃ সত্য তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত। অতএব, যার ইচ্ছা, বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করুক এবং যার ইচ্ছা অমান্য করুক। আমি জালেমদের জন্যে অগ্নি প্রস্তুত করে রেখেছি, যার বেষ্টনী তাদের কে পরিবেষ্টন করে থাকবে। যদি তারা পানীয় প্রার্থনা করে, তবে পুঁজের ন্যায় পানীয় দেয়া হবে যা তাদের মুখমন্ডল দগ্ধ করবে। কত নিকৃষ্ট পানীয় এবং খুবই মন্দ আশ্রয়।
Say, "The truth is from your Lord": Let him who will believe, and let him who will, reject (it): for the wrong-doers We have prepared a Fire whose (smoke and flames), like the walls and roof of a tent, will hem them in: if they implore relief they will be granted water like melted brass, that will scald their faces, how dreadful the drink! How uncomfortable a couch to recline on! |

আয়াতঃ ২৯) |

যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন সবাই সেজদা করল ইবলীস ব্যতীত। সে ছিল জিনদের একজন। সে তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল। অতএব তোমরা কি আমার পরিবর্তে তাকে এবং তার বংশধরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করছ? অথচ তারা তোমাদের শত্রু। এটা জালেমদের জন্যে খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বদল।
Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers! |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |
| 58 |
মূসা বললেনঃ আল্লাহ চাহেন তো আপনি আমাকে ধৈর্য্যশীল পাবেন এবং আমি আপনার কোন আদেশ অমান্য করব না।
Moses said: "Thou wilt find me, if Allah so will, (truly) patient: nor shall I disobey thee in aught." |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |
| 59 |
আমি ফেরাউনকে আমার সব নিদর্শন দেখিয়ে দিয়েছি, অতঃপর সে মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছে এবং অমান্য করেছে।
And We showed Pharaoh all Our Signs, but he did reject and refuse. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:

আমার পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করা থেকে? তবে তুমি কি আমার আদেশ অমান্য করেছ?
"From following me? Didst thou then disobey my order?" |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ৯৩) |

যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ তোমরা আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সেজদা করল। সে অমান্য করল।
When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬) |

মুমিনদের বক্তব্য কেবল এ কথাই যখন তাদের মধ্যে ফয়সালা করার জন্যে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের দিকে তাদেরকে আহবান করা হয়, তখন তারা বলেঃ আমরা শুনলাম ও আদেশ মান্য করলাম। তারাই সফলকাম।
The answer of the Believers, when summoned to Allah and His Messenger, in order that He may judge between them, is no other than this: they say, "We hear and we obey": it is such as these that will attain felicity. |

এবং সীমালংঘনকারীদের আদেশ মান্য কর না;
"And follow not the bidding of those who are extravagant,- |

বল তো কে নিঃসহায়ের ডাকে সাড়া দেন যখন সে ডাকে এবং কষ্ট দূরীভূত করেন এবং তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে পুর্ববর্তীদের স্থলাভিষিক্ত করেন। সুতরাং আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? তোমরা অতি সামান্যই ধ্যান কর।
Or, Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him, and Who relieves its suffering, and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is that ye heed! |

আয়াতঃ ৬২) |

আমি অনেক জনপদ ধবংস করেছি, যার অধিবাসীরা তাদের জীবন যাপনে মদমত্ত ছিল। এগুলোই এখন তাদের ঘর-বাড়ী। তাদের পর এগুলোতে মানুষ সামান্যই বসবাস করেছে। অবশেষে আমিই মালিক রয়েছি।
And how many populations We destroyed, which exulted in their life (of ease and plenty)! now those habitations of theirs, after them, are deserted,- All but a (miserable) few! and We are their heirs! |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৫৮) |

অতঃপর তিনি তাকে সুষম করেন, তাতে রূহ সঞ্চার করেন এবং তোমাদেরকে দেন কর্ণ, চক্ষু ও অন্তঃকরণ। তোমরা সামান্যই কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
But He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him something of His spirit. And He gave you (the faculties of) hearing and sight and feeling (and understanding): little thanks do ye give! |
(সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 67 |
বলুন! তোমরা যদি মৃত্যু অথবা হত্যা থেকে পলায়ন কর, তবে এ পলায়ন তোমাদের কাজে আসবে না। তখন তোমাদেরকে সামান্যই ভোগ করতে দেয়া হবে।
Say: "Running away will not profit you if ye are running away from death or slaughter; and even if (ye do escape), no more than a brief (respite) will ye be allowed to enjoy!" |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

তারা মনে করে শক্রবাহিনী চলে যায়নি। যদি শক্রবাহিনী আবার এসে পড়ে, তবে তারা কামনা করবে যে, যদি তারা গ্রামবাসীদের মধ্য থেকে তোমাদের সংবাদাদি জেনে নিত, তবেই ভাল হত। তারা তোমাদের মধ্যে অবস্থান করলেও যুদ্ধ সামান্যই করত।
They think that the Confederates have not withdrawn; and if the Confederates should come (again), they would wish they were in the deserts (wandering) among the Bedouins, and seeking news about you (from a safe distance); and if they were in your midst, they would fight but little. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ২০) |
| 69 |
আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল কোন কাজের আদেশ করলে কোন ঈমানদার পুরুষ ও ঈমানদার নারীর সে বিষয়ে ভিন্ন ক্ষমতা নেই যে, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের আদেশ অমান্য করে সে প্রকাশ্য পথভ্রষ্ট তায় পতিত হয়।
It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৬) |

আর আমি সোলায়মানের অধীন করেছিলাম বায়ুকে, যা সকালে এক মাসের পথ এবং বিকালে এক মাসের পথ অতিক্রম করত। আমি তার জন্যে গলিত তামার এক ঝরণা প্রবাহিত করেছিলাম। কতক জিন তার সামনে কাজ করত তার পালনকর্তার আদেশে। তাদের যে কেউ আমার আদেশ অমান্য করবে, আমি জ্বলন্ত অগ্নির-শাস্তি আস্বাদন করাব।
And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride) was a month's (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month's (journey); and We made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire. |

| 71 |
অতঃপর তারা অবাধ্যতা করল ফলে আমি তাদের উপর প্রেরণ করলাম প্রবল বন্যা! আর তাদের উদ্যানদ্বয়কে পরিবর্তন করে দিলাম এমন দুই উদ্যানে, যাতে উদগত হয় বিস্বাদ ফলমূল, ঝাউ গাছ এবং সামান্য কুলবৃক্ষ।
But they turned away (from Allah), and We sent against them the Flood (released) from the dams, and We converted their two garden (rows) into "gardens" producing bitter fruit, and tamarisks, and some few (stunted) Lote-trees. |

আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

যখন তাদের কাছে রসূলগণ এসেছিলেন সম্মুখ দিক থেকে এবং পিছন দিক থেকে এ কথা বলতে যে, তোমরা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত কারও পূজা করো না। তারা বলেছিল, আমাদের পালনকর্তা ইচ্ছা করলে অবশ্যই ফেরেশতা প্রেরণ করতেন, অতএব, আমরা তোমাদের আনীত বিষয় অমান্য করলাম।
Behold, the messengers came to them, from before them and behind them, (preaching): "Serve none but Allah." They said, "If our Lord had so pleased, He would certainly have sent down angels (to preach). Now we reject your mission (altogether)." |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৪) |

বলুন, তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছ কি, যদি এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে হয়, অতঃপর তোমরা একে অমান্য কর, তবে যে ব্যক্তি ঘোর বিরোধিতায় লিপ্ত, তার চাইতে অধিক পথভ্রষ্ট আর কে?
Say: "See ye if the (Revelation) is (really) from Allah, and yet do ye reject it? Who is more astray than one who is in a schism far (from any purpose)?" |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৫২) |

যারা তাদের পালনকর্তার আদেশ মান্য করে, নামায কায়েম করে; পারস্পরিক পরামর্শক্রমে কাজ করে এবং আমি তাদেরকে যে রিযিক দিয়েছি, তা থেকে ব্যয় করে,
Those who hearken to their Lord, and establish regular Prayer; who (conduct) their affairs by mutual Consultation; who spend out of what We bestow on them for Sustenance; |

আয়াতঃ ৩৮) |

আল্লাহ তা’আলার পক্ষ থেকে অবশ্যম্ভাবী দিবস আসার পূর্বে তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তার আদেশ মান্য কর। সেদিন তোমাদের কোন আশ্রয়স্থল থাকবে না এবং তা নিরোধকারী কেউ থাকবে না।
Hearken ye to your Lord, before there come a Day which there will be no putting back, because of (the Ordainment of) Allah! that Day there will be for you no place of refuge nor will there be for you any room for denial (of your sins)! |

বলুন, তোমরা ভেবে দেখেছ কি, যদি এটা আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে হয় এবং তোমরা একে অমান্য কর এবং বনী ইসরাঈলের একজন সাক্ষী এর পক্ষে সাক্ষ্য দিয়ে এতে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে; আর তোমরা অহংকার কর, তবে তোমাদের চেয়ে অবিবেচক আর কে হবে? নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ অবিবেচকদেরকে পথ দেখান না।
Say: "See ye? If (this teaching) be from Allah, and ye reject it, and a witness from among the Children of Israel testifies to its similarity (with earlier scripture), and has believed while ye are arrogant, (how unjust ye are!) truly, Allah guides not a people unjust." |

হে আমাদের সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা আল্লাহর দিকে আহবানকারীর কথা মান্য কর এবং তাঁর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর। তিনি তোমাদের গোনাহ মার্জনা করবেন।
"O our people, hearken to the one who invites (you) to Allah, and believe in him: He will forgive you your faults, and deliver you from a Penalty Grievous. |
(আল আহক্বাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৩১) |

এটা এজন্য যে, তারা তাদেরকে বলে, যারা আল্লাহর অবতীর্ণ কিতাব অপছন্দ করেঃ আমরা কোন কোন ব্যাপারে তোমাদের কথা মান্য করব। আল্লাহ তাদের গোপন পরামর্শ অবগত আছেন।
This, because they said to those who hate what Allah has revealed, "We will obey you in part of (this) matter"; but Allah knows their (inner) secrets. |

তোমরা যখন যুদ্ধলব্ধ ধন-সম্পদ সংগ্রহের জন্য যাবে, তখন যারা পশ্চাতে থেকে গিয়েছিল, তারা বলবেঃ আমাদেরকেও তোমাদের সঙ্গে যেতে দাও। তারা আল্লাহর কালাম পরিবর্তন করতে চায়। বলুনঃ তোমরা কখনও আমাদের সঙ্গে যেতে পারবে না। আল্লাহ পূর্ব থেকেই এরূপ বলে দিয়েছেন। তারা বলবেঃ বরং তোমরা আমাদের প্রতি বিদ্বেষ পোষণ করছ। পরন্তু তারা সামান্যই বোঝে।
Those who lagged behind (will say), when ye (are free to) march and take booty (in war): "Permit us to follow you." They wish to change Allah's decree: Say: "Not thus will ye follow us: Allah has already declared (this) beforehand": then they will say, "But ye are jealous of us." Nay, but little do they understand (such things). |
(আল ফাতহ:

তারা রাত্রির সামান্য অংশেই নিদ্রা যেত,
They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, |

আয়াতঃ ১৭) |

অতঃপর তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল এবং তাদের প্রতি বজ্রঘাত হল এমতাবস্থায় যে, তারা তা দেখেছিল।
But they insolently defied the Command of their Lord: So the stunning noise (of an earthquake) seized them, even while they were looking on. |

এবং দেয় সামান্যই ও পাষাণ হয়ে যায়।
Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? |
(আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৪) |
| 83 |
যাতে কিতাবধারীরা জানে যে, আল্লাহর সামান্য অনুগ্রহের উপর ও তাদের কোন ক্ষমতা নেই, দয়া আল্লাহরই হাতে; তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা, তা দান করেন। আল্লাহ মহা অনুগ্রহশীল।
That the People of the Book may know that they have no power whatever over the Grace of Allah, that (His) Grace is (entirely) in His Hand, to bestow it on whomsoever He wills. For Allah is the Lord of Grace abounding. |
(আল হাদীদ:
আয়াতঃ ২৯) |

অনেক জনপদ তাদের পালনকর্তা ও তাঁর রসূলগণের আদেশ অমান্য করেছিল, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে কঠোর হিসাবে ধৃত করেছিলাম এবং তাদেরকে ভীষণ শাস্তি দিয়েছিলাম।
How many populations that insolently opposed the Command of their Lord and of His messengers, did We not then call to account,- to severe account?- and We imposed on them an exemplary Punishment. |
(আত্ব-ত্বালাক্ব:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 85 |
মুমিনগণ, তোমরা নিজেদেরকে এবং তোমাদের পরিবার-পরিজনকে সেই অগ্নি থেকে রক্ষা কর, যার ইন্ধন হবে মানুষ ও প্রস্তর, যাতে নিয়োজিত আছে পাষাণ হৃদয়, কঠোরস্বভাব ফেরেশতাগণ। তারা আল্লাহ তা’আলা যা আদেশ করেন, তা অমান্য করে না এবং যা করতে আদেশ করা হয়, তাই করে।
O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded. |
(আত-তাহরীম:
আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 86 |
তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার রসূলকে অমান্য করেছিল। ফলে তিনি তাদেরকে কঠোরহস্তে পাকড়াও করলেন।
And disobeyed (each) the messenger of their Lord; so He punished them with an abundant Penalty. |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 87 |
নূহ বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার সম্প্রদায় আমাকে অমান্য করেছে আর অনুসরণ করছে এমন লোককে, যার ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কেবল তার ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করছে।
Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss. |
(নূহ:
আয়াতঃ ২১) |

কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা’আলার বাণী পৌছানো ও তাঁর পয়গাম প্রচার করাই আমার কাজ। যে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলকে অমান্য করে, তার জন্যে রয়েছে জাহান্নামের অগ্নি। তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।
"Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever." |
(আল জিন:
আয়াতঃ ২৩) |

অতঃপর ফেরাউন সেই রসূলকে অমান্য করল, ফলে আমি তাকে কঠিন শাস্তি দিয়েছি।
But Pharaoh disobeyed the messenger; so We seized him with a heavy Punishment. |
(মুযযামমিল:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

কিন্তু সে মিথ্যারোপ করল এবং অমান্য করল।
But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance); |

সবার মান্যবর, সেখানকার বিশ্বাসভাজন।
With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. |
