অতঃপর আমি তাকে ও তাঁর পরিবার পরিজনকে বাঁচিয়ে দিলাম, কিন্তু তার স্ত্রী। সে তাদের মধ্যেই রয়ে গেল, যারা রয়ে গিয়েছিল। আমি তাদের উপর প্রস্তর বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করলাম।
But we saved him and his family, except his wife: she was of those who legged behind. |

আর নূহ (আঃ) এর প্রতি ওহী প্রেরণ করা হলো যে, যারা ইতিমধ্যেই ঈমান এনেছে তাদের ছাড়া আপনার জাতির অন্য কেউ ঈমান আনবেনা এতএব তাদের কার্যকলাপে বিমর্ষ হবেন না।
It was revealed to Noah: "None of thy people will believe except those who have believed already! So grieve no longer over their (evil) deeds. |

আর অবশ্যই আমার প্রেরিত ফেরেশতারা ইব্রাহীমেরে কাছে সুসংবাদ নিয়ে এসেছিল তারা বলল সালাম, তিনিও বললেন-সালাম। অতঃপর অল্পক্ষণের মধ্যেই তিনি একটি ভুনা করা বাছুর নিয়ে এলেন!
There came Our messengers to Abraham with glad tidings. They said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" and hastened to entertain them with a roasted calf. |

আমি প্রত্যেক উম্মতের মধ্যেই রাসূল প্রেরণ করেছি এই মর্মে যে, তোমরা আল্লাহর এবাদত কর এবং তাগুত থেকে নিরাপদ থাক। অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে কিছু সংখ্যককে আল্লাহ হেদায়েত করেছেন এবং কিছু সংখ্যকের জন্যে বিপথগামিতা অবধারিত হয়ে গেল। সুতরাং তোমরা পৃথিবীতে ভ্রমণ কর এবং দেখ মিথ্যারোপকারীদের কিরূপ পরিণতি হয়েছে।
For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger, (with the Command), "Serve Allah, and eschew Evil": of the People were some whom Allah guided, and some on whom error became inevitably (established). So travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those who denied (the Truth). |

কিংবা চলাফেরার মধ্যেই তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করবে, তারা তো তা ব্যর্থ করতে পারবে না।
Or that He may not call them to account in the midst of their goings to and fro, without a chance of their frustrating Him?- |

আল্লাহ জনপদবাসীদের কাছ থেকে তাঁর রসূলকে যা দিয়েছেন, তা আল্লাহর, রসূলের, তাঁর আত্নীয়-স্বজনের, ইয়াতীমদের, অভাবগ্রস্তদের এবং মুসাফিরদের জন্যে, যাতে ধনৈশ্বর্য্য কেবল তোমাদের বিত্তশালীদের মধ্যেই পুঞ্জীভূত না হয়। রসূল তোমাদেরকে যা দেন, তা গ্রহণ কর এবং যা নিষেধ করেন, তা থেকে বিরত থাক এবং আল্লাহকে ভয় কর। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ কঠোর শাস্তিদাতা।
What Allah has bestowed on His Messenger (and taken away) from the people of the townships,- belongs to Allah,- to His Messenger and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer; In order that it may not (merely) make a circuit between the wealthy among you. So take what the Messenger assigns to you, and deny yourselves that which he withholds from you. And fear Allah; for Allah is strict in Punishment. |
