দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতের বিষয়ে। আর তোমার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে, এতীম সংক্রান্ত হুকুম। বলে দাও, তাদের কাজ-কর্ম সঠিকভাবে গুছিয়ে দেয়া উত্তম আর যদি তাদের ব্যয়ভার নিজের সাথে মিশিয়ে নাও, তাহলে মনে করবে তারা তোমাদের ভাই । বস্তুতঃ অমঙ্গলকামী ও মঙ্গলকামীদেরকে আল্লাহ জানেন। আল্লাহ যদি ইচ্ছা করতেন, তাহলে তোমাদের উপর জটিলতা আরোপ করতে পারতেন। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, মহাপ্রজ্ঞ।
(Their bearings) on this life and the Hereafter. They ask thee concerning orphans. Say: "The best thing to do is what is for their good; if ye mix their affairs with yours, they are your brethren; but Allah knows the man who means mischief from the man who means good. And if Allah had wished, He could have put you into difficulties: He is indeed Exalted in Power, Wise." |

তোমরাই হলে সর্বোত্তম উম্মত, মানবজাতির কল্যানের জন্যেই তোমাদের উদ্ভব ঘটানো হয়েছে। তোমরা সৎকাজের নির্দেশ দান করবে ও অন্যায় কাজে বাধা দেবে এবং আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান আনবে। আর আহলে-কিতাবরা যদি ঈমান আনতো, তাহলে তা তাদের জন্য মঙ্গলকর হতো। তাদের মধ্যে কিছু তো রয়েছে ঈমানদার আর অধিকাংশই হলো পাপাচারী।
Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. |

হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা মুমিন ব্যতীত অন্য কাউকে অন্তরঙ্গরূপে গ্রহণ করো না, তারা তোমাদের অমঙ্গল সাধনে কোন ক্রটি করে না-তোমরা কষ্টে থাক, তাতেই তাদের আনন্দ। শত্রুতাপ্রসুত বিদ্বেষ তাদের মুখেই ফুটে বেরোয়। আর যা কিছু তাদের মনে লুকিয়ে রয়েছে, তা আরো অনেকগুণ বেশী জঘন্য। তোমাদের জন্যে নিদর্শন বিশদভাবে বর্ণনা করে দেয়া হলো, যদি তোমরা তা অনুধাবন করতে সমর্থ হও।
O ye who believe! Take not into your intimacy those outside your ranks: They will not fail to corrupt you. They only desire your ruin: Rank hatred has already appeared from their mouths: What their hearts conceal is far worse. We have made plain to you the Signs, if ye have wisdom. |

তোমাদের যদি কোন মঙ্গল হয়; তাহলে তাদের খারাপ লাগে। আর তোমাদের যদি অমঙ্গল হয় তাহলে আনন্দিত হয় আর তাতে যদি তোমরা ধৈর্য্যধারণ কর এবং তাকওয়া অবলম্বন কর, তবে তাদের প্রতারণায় তোমাদের কোনই ক্ষতি হবে না। নিশ্চয়ই তারা যা কিছু করে সে সমস্তই আল্লাহর আয়ত্তে রয়েছে।
If aught that is good befalls you, it grieves them; but if some misfortune overtakes you, they rejoice at it. But if ye are constant and do right, not the least harm will their cunning do to you; for Allah Compasseth round about all that they do. |

আল্লাহ তাদেরকে নিজের অনুগ্রহে যা দান করেছেন তাতে যারা কৃপণতা করে এই কার্পন্য তাদের জন্য মঙ্গলকর হবে বলে তারা যেন ধারণা না করে। বরং এটা তাদের পক্ষে একান্তই ক্ষতিকর প্রতিপন্ন হবে। যাতে তারা কার্পন্য করে সে সমস্ত ধন-সম্পদকে কিয়ামতের দিন তাদের গলায় বেড়ী বানিয়ে পরানো হবে। আর আল্লাহ হচ্ছেন আসমান ও যমীনের পরম সত্ত্বাধিকারী। আর যা কিছু তোমরা কর; আল্লাহ সে সম্পর্কে জানেন।
And let not those who covetously withhold of the gifts which Allah Hath given them of His Grace, think that it is good for them: Nay, it will be the worse for them: soon shall the things which they covetously withheld be tied to their necks Like a twisted collar, on the Day of Judgment. To Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. |

এমতাবস্থায় যদি তাদের কৃতকর্মের দরুন বিপদ আরোপিত হয়, তবে তাতে কি হল! অতঃপর তারা আপনার কাছে আল্লাহর নামে কসম খেয়ে খেয়ে ফিরে আসবে যে, মঙ্গল ও সম্প্রীতি ছাড়া আমাদের অন্য কোন উদ্দেশ্য ছিল না।
How then, when they are seized by misfortune, because of the deeds which they hands have sent forth? Then their come to thee, swearing by Allah: "We meant no more than good-will and conciliation!" |
(আন নিসা:
আয়াতঃ ৬২) |

হে আহলে-কিতাবগণ! তোমরা দ্বীনের ব্যাপারে বাড়াবাড়ি করো না এবং আল্লাহর শানে নিতান্ত সঙ্গত বিষয় ছাড়া কোন কথা বলো না। নিঃসন্দেহে মরিয়ম পুত্র মসীহ ঈসা আল্লাহর রসূল এবং তাঁর বাণী যা তিনি প্রেরণ করেছেন মরিয়মের নিকট এবং রূহ-তাঁরই কাছ থেকে আগত। অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে এবং তার রসূলগণকে মান্য কর। আর একথা বলো না যে, আল্লাহ তিনের এক, একথা পরিহার কর; তোমাদের মঙ্গল হবে। নিঃসন্দেহে আল্লাহ একক উপাস্য। সন্তান-সন্ততি হওয়াটা তাঁর যোগ্য বিষয় নয়। যা কিছু আসমান সমূহ ও যমীনে রয়েছে সবই তার। আর কর্মবিধানে আল্লাহই যথেষ্ট।
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion: Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs. |

আর যদি আল্লাহ তোমাকে কোন কষ্ট দেন, তবে তিনি ব্যতীত তা অপসারণকারী কেউ নেই। পক্ষান্তরে যদি তোমার মঙ্গল করেন, তবে তিনি সবকিছুর উপর ক্ষমতাবান।
"If Allah touch thee with affliction, none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness, He hath power over all things. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |

এটি এমন একটি গ্রন্থ, যা আমি অবতীর্ণ করেছি, খুব মঙ্গলময়, অতএব, এর অনুসরণ কর এবং ভয় কর-যাতে তোমরা করুণাপ্রাপ্ত হও।
And this is a Book which We have revealed as a blessing: so follow it and be righteous, that ye may receive mercy: |

তোমরা কি আশ্চর্য্যবোধ করছ যে, তোমাদের কাছে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের মধ্য থেকেই একজনের বাচনিক উপদেশ এসেছে যাতে সে তোমাদেরকে ভীতি প্রদর্শন করে। তোমরা স্মরণ কর, যখন আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে কওমে নূহের পর সর্দার করেছেন এবং তোমাদের দেহের বিস্তৃতি বেশী করেছেন। তোমরা আল্লাহর নেয়ামতসমূহ স্মরণ কর-যাতে তোমাদের মঙ্গল হয়।
"Do ye wonder that there hath come to you a message from your Lord through a man of your own people, to warn you? call in remembrance that He made you inheritors after the people of Noah, and gave you a stature tall among the nations. Call in remembrance the benefits (ye have received) from Allah: that so ye may prosper." |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৯) |

ছালেহ তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রস্থান করলো এবং বললঃ হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, আমি তোমাদের কাছে স্বীয় প্রতিপালকের পয়গাম পৌছিয়েছি এবং তোমাদের মঙ্গল কামনা করেছি কিন্তু তোমরা মঙ্গলকাঙ্খীদেরকে ভালবাস না।
So Salih left them, saying: "O my people! I did indeed convey to you the message for which I was sent by my Lord: I gave you good counsel, but ye love not good counsellors!" |

আয়াতঃ ৭৯) |

আপনি বলে দিন, আমি আমার নিজের কল্যাণ সাধনের এবং অকল্যাণ সাধনের মালিক নই, কিন্তু যা আল্লাহ চান। আর আমি যদি গায়বের কথা জেনে নিতে পারতাম, তাহলে বহু মঙ্গল অর্জন করে নিতে পারতাম, ফলে আমার কোন অমঙ্গল কখনও হতে পারত না। আমি তো শুধুমাত্র একজন ভীতি প্রদর্শক ও সুসংবাদদাতা ঈমানদারদের জন্য।
Say: "I have no power over any good or harm to myself except as Allah willeth. If I had knowledge of the unseen, I should have multiplied all good, and no evil should have touched me: I am but a warner, and a bringer of glad tidings to those who have faith." |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৮৮) |

তাদের কি পা আছে, যদ্বারা তারা চলাফেরা করে, কিংবা তাদের কি হাত আছে, যদ্বারা তারা ধরে। অথবা তাদের কি চোখ আছে যদ্বারা তারা দেখতে পায় কিংবা তাদের কি কান আছে যদ্বারা শুনতে পায়? বলে দাও, তোমরা ডাক তোমাদের অংশীদারদিগকে, অতঃপর আমার অমঙ্গল কর এবং আমাকে অবকাশ দিও না।
Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners', scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite! |
(আল আ'রাফ:
আয়াতঃ ১৯৫) |
| 14 |
হে নবী, তাদেরকে বলে দাও, যারা তোমার হাতে বন্দী হয়ে আছে যে, আল্লাহ যদি তোমাদের অন্তরে কোন রকম মঙ্গলচিন্তা রয়েছে বলে জানেন, তবে তোমাদেরকে তার চেয়ে বহুগুণ বেশী দান করবেন যা তোমাদের কাছ থেকে বিনিময়ে নেয়া হয়েছে। তাছাড়া তোমাদেরকে তিনি ক্ষমা করে দিবেন। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, করুণাময়।
O Prophet! say to those who are captives in your hands: "If Allah findeth any good in your hearts, He will give you something better than what has been taken from you, and He will forgive you: for Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." |
(আল-আনফাল:
আয়াতঃ ৭০) |
| 15 |
আর তাদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ নবীকে ক্লেশ দেয়, এবং বলে, এ লোকটি তো কানসর্বস্ব। আপনি বলে দিন, কান হলেও তোমাদেরই মঙ্গলের জন্য, আল্লাহর উপর বিশ্বাস রাখে এবং বিশ্বাস রাখে মুসলমানদের কথার উপর। বস্তুতঃ তোমাদের মধ্যে যারা ঈমানদার তাদের জন্য তিনি রহমতবিশেষ। আর যারা আল্লাহর রসূলের প্রতি কুৎসা রটনা করে, তাদের জন্য রয়েছে বেদনাদায়ক আযাব।
Among them are men who molest the Prophet and say, "He is (all) ear." Say, "He listens to what is best for you: he believes in Allah, has faith in the Believers, and is a Mercy to those of you who believe." But those who molest the Messenger will have a grievous penalty. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৬১) |
| 16 |
তারা কসম খায় যে, আমরা বলিনি, অথচ নিঃসন্দেহে তারা বলেছে কুফরী বাক্য এবং মুসলমান হবার পর অস্বীকৃতিজ্ঞাপনকারী হয়েছে। আর তারা কামনা করেছিল এমন বস্তুর যা তারা প্রাপ্ত হয়নি। আর এসব তারই পরিণতি ছিল যে, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল তাদেরকে সম্পদশালী করে দিয়েছিলেন নিজের অনুগ্রহের মাধ্যমে। বস্তুতঃ এরা যদি তওবা করে নেয়, তবে তাদের জন্য মঙ্গল। আর যদি তা না মানে, তবে তাদের কে আযাব দেবেন আল্লাহ তা’আলা, বেদনাদায়ক আযাব দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতে। অতএব, বিশ্বচরাচরে তাদের জন্য কোন সাহায্যকারী-সমর্থক নেই।
They swear by Allah that they said nothing (evil), but indeed they uttered blasphemy, and they did it after accepting Islam; and they meditated a plot which they were unable to carry out: this revenge of theirs was (their) only return for the bounty with which Allah and His Messenger had enriched them! If they repent, it will be best for them; but if they turn back (to their evil ways), Allah will punish them with a grievous penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: They shall have none on earth to protect or help them. |

তোমাদের কাছে এসেছে তোমাদের মধ্য থেকেই একজন রসূল। তোমাদের দুঃখ-কষ্ট তার পক্ষে দুঃসহ। তিনি তোমাদের মঙ্গলকামী, মুমিনদের প্রতি স্নেহশীল, দয়াময়।
Now hath come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and merciful. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১২৮) |
| 18 |
বলে দাও, হে মানবকুল, সত্য তোমাদের কাছে পৌঁছে গেছে তোমাদের পরওয়ারদেগারের তরফ থেকে। এমন যে কেউ পথে আসে সেপথ প্রাপ্ত হয় স্বীয় মঙ্গলের জন্য। আর যে বিভ্রান্ত ঘুরতে থাকে, সে স্বীয় অমঙ্গলের জন্য বিভ্রান্ত অবস্থায় ঘুরতে থাকবে। অনন্তর আমি তোমাদের উপর অধিকারী নই।
Say: "O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs." |
(ইউনুস:
আয়াতঃ ১০৮) |

আর যদি তার উপর আপতিত দুঃখ কষ্টের পরে তাকে সুখভোগ করতে দেই, তবে সে বলতে থাকে যে, আমার অমঙ্গল দূর হয়ে গেছে, আর সে আনন্দে আত্নহারা হয়, অহঙ্কারে উদ্দত হয়ে পড়ে।
But if We give him a taste of (Our) favours after adversity hath touched him, he is sure to say, "All evil has departed from me:" Behold! he falls into exultation and pride. |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ১০) |
| 20 |
এরা আপনার কাছে মঙ্গলের পরিবর্তে দ্রুত অমঙ্গল কামনা করে। তাদের পূর্বে অনুরূপ অনেক শাস্তিপ্রাপ্ত জনগোষ্ঠী অতিক্রান্ত হয়েছে। আপনার পালনকর্তা মানুষকে তাদের অন্যায় সত্বেও ক্ষমা করেন এবং আপনার পালনকর্তা কঠিন শাস্তিদাতা ও বটে।
They ask thee to hasten on the evil in preference to the good: Yet have come to pass, before them, (many) exemplary punishments! But verily thy Lord is full of forgiveness for mankind for their wrong-doing, and verily thy Lord is (also) strict in punishment. |
(রা'দ:
আয়াতঃ ৬) |

তোমাদের মুখ থেকে সাধারনতঃ যেসব মিথ্যা বের হয়ে আসে তেমনি করে তোমরা আল্লাহর বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা অপবাদ আরোপ করে বল না যে, এটা হালাল এবং ওটা হারাম। নিশ্চয় যারা আল্লাহর বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা আরোপ করে, তাদের মঙ্গল হবে না।
But say not - for any false thing that your tongues may put forth,- "This is lawful, and this is forbidden," so as to ascribe false things to Allah. For those who ascribe false things to Allah, will never prosper. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬) |
| 22 |
যে কেউ সৎপথে চলে, তারা নিজের মঙ্গলের জন্যেই সৎ পথে চলে। আর যে পথভ্রষ্ট হয়, তারা নিজের অমঙ্গলের জন্যেই পথ ভ্রষ্ট হয়। কেউ অপরের বোঝা বহন করবে না। কোন রাসূল না পাঠানো পর্যন্ত আমি কাউকেই শাস্তি দান করি না।
Who receiveth guidance, receiveth it for his own benefit: who goeth astray doth so to his own loss: No bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another: nor would We visit with Our Wrath until We had sent an messenger (to give warning). |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ১৫) |

এবং কা’বার জন্যে উৎসর্গীকৃত উটকে আমি তোমাদের জন্যে আল্লাহর অন্যতম নিদর্শন করেছি। এতে তোমাদের জন্যে মঙ্গল রয়েছে। সুতরাং সারিবদ্ধভাবে বাঁধা অবস্থায় তাদের যবেহ করার সময় তোমরা আল্লাহর নাম উচ্চারণ কর। অতঃপর যখন তারা কাত হয়ে পড়ে যায় তখন তা থেকে তোমরা আহার কর এবং আহার করাও যে কিছু যাচ্ঞা করে না তাকে এবং যে যাচ্ঞা করে তাকে। এমনিভাবে আমি এগুলোকে তোমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছি, যাতে তোমরা কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর।
The sacrificial camels we have made for you as among the symbols from Allah: in them is (much) good for you: then pronounce the name of Allah over them as they line up (for sacrifice): when they are down on their sides (after slaughter), eat ye thereof, and feed such as (beg not but) live in contentment, and such as beg with due humility: thus have We made animals subject to you, that ye may be grateful. |
(হাজ্জ্ব:
আয়াতঃ ৩৬) |
| 24 |
তাতে করে তাদেরকে দ্রুত মঙ্গলের দিকে নিয়ে যাচ্ছি? বরং তারা বোঝে না।
We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. |
(আল মু'মিনূন:
আয়াতঃ ৫৬) |
| 25 |
যারা মিথ্যা অপবাদ রটনা করেছে, তারা তোমাদেরই একটি দল। তোমরা একে নিজেদের জন্যে খারাপ মনে করো না; বরং এটা তোমাদের জন্যে মঙ্গলজনক। তাদের প্রত্যেকের জন্যে ততটুকু আছে যতটুকু সে গোনাহ করেছে এবং তাদের মধ্যে যে এ ব্যাপারে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা নিয়েছে, তার জন্যে রয়েছে বিরাট শাস্তি।
Those who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, and to him who took on himself the lead among them, will be a penalty grievous. |
(আন-নূর:
আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 26 |
তারা বলল, তোমাকে এবং তোমার সাথে যারা আছে, তাদেরকে আমরা অকল্যাণের প্রতীক মনে করি। সালেহ বললেন, তোমাদের মঙ্গলামঙ্গল আল্লাহর কাছে; বরং তোমরা এমন সম্প্রদায়, যাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করা হচ্ছে।
They said: "Ill omen do we augur from thee and those that are with thee". He said: "Your ill omen is with Allah; yea, ye are a people under trial." |
(নমল:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |
| 27 |
বলুন! কে তোমাদেরকে আল্লাহ থেকে রক্ষা করবে যদি তিনি তোমাদের অমঙ্গল ইচ্ছা করেন অথবা তোমাদের প্রতি অনুকম্পার ইচ্ছা? তারা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত নিজেদের কোন অভিভাবক ও সাহায্যদাতা পাবে না।
Say: "Who is it that can screen you from Allah if it be His wish to give you punishment or to give you Mercy?" Nor will they find for themselves, besides Allah, any protector or helper. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |
| 28 |
এবং আপনি তাদেরকে অমঙ্গল থেকে রক্ষা করুন। আপনি যাকে সেদিন অমঙ্গল থেকে রক্ষা করবেন, তার প্রতি অনুগ্রহই করবেন। এটাই মহাসাফল্য।
"And preserve them from (all) ills; and any whom Thou dost preserve from ills that Day,- on them wilt Thou have bestowed Mercy indeed: and that will be truly (for them) the highest Achievement". |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 29 |
হে আমার কওম, আজ এদেশে তোমাদেরই রাজত্ব, দেশময় তোমরাই বিচরণ করছ; কিন্তু আমাদের আল্লাহর শাস্তি এসে গেলে কে আমাদেরকে সাহায্য করবে? ফেরাউন বলল, আমি যা বুঝি, তোমাদেরকে তাই বোঝাই, আর আমি তোমাদেরকে মঙ্গলের পথই দেখাই।
"O my People! Yours is the dominion this day: Ye have the upper hand in the land: but who will help us from the Punishment of Allah, should it befall us?" Pharaoh said: "I but point out to you that which I see (myself); Nor do I guide you but to the Path of Right!" |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ২৯) |
| 30 |
মানুষ উন্নতি কামনায় ক্লান্ত হয় না; যদি তাকে অমঙ্গল স্পর্শ করে, তবে সে সম্পূর্ণ রূপে নিরাশ হয়ে পড়ে।
Man does not weary of asking for good (things), but if ill touches him, he gives up all hope (and) is lost in despair. |
(হা-মীম সেজদাহ:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |
| 31 |
তাদের আনুগত্য ও মিষ্ট বাক্য জানা আছে। অতএব, জেহাদের সিন্ধান্ত হলে যদি তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি প্রদত্ত অংগীকার পূর্ণ করে, তবে তাদের জন্যে তা মঙ্গলজনক হবে।
Were it to obey and say what is just, and when a matter is resolved on, it were best for them if they were true to Allah. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ২১) |
| 32 |
যদি তারা আপনার বের হয়ে তাদের কাছে আসা পর্যন্ত সবর করত, তবে তা-ই তাদের জন্যে মঙ্গলজনক হত। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, পরম দয়ালু।
If only they had patience until thou couldst come out to them, it would be best for them: but Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

যে বাধা দিত মঙ্গলজনক কাজে, সীমালঙ্ঘনকারী, সন্দেহ পোষণকারীকে।
"Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; |

অতএব, পরবর্তী ও পূর্ববর্তী সব মঙ্গলই আল্লাহর হাতে।
But it is to Allah that the End and the Beginning (of all things) belong. |

আমরা জানি না পৃথিবীবাসীদের অমঙ্গল সাধন করা অভীষ্ট, না তাদের পালনকর্তা তাদের মঙ্গল সাধন করার ইচ্ছা রাখেন।
'And we understand not whether ill is intended to those on earth, or whether their Lord (really) intends to guide them to right conduct. |
