তাদের অন্তঃকরণ ব্যধিগ্রস্ত আর আল্লাহ তাদের ব্যধি আরো বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন। বস্তুতঃ তাদের জন্য নির্ধারিত রয়েছে ভয়াবহ আযাব, তাদের মিথ্যাচারের দরুন।
In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). |

যাদেরকে তারা আহবান করে, তারা নিজেরাই তো তাদের পালনকর্তার নৈকট্য লাভের জন্য মধ্যস্থ তালাশ করে যে, তাদের মধ্যে কে নৈকট্যশীল। তারা তাঁর রহমতের আশা করে এবং তাঁর শাস্তিকে ভয় করে। নিশ্চয় আপনার পালনকর্তার শাস্তি ভয়াবহ।
Those whom they call upon do desire (for themselves) means of access to their Lord, - even those who are nearest: they hope for His Mercy and fear His Wrath: for the Wrath of thy Lord is something to take heed of. |

তারা কেবল একটা ভয়াবহ শব্দের অপেক্ষা করছে, যা তাদেরকে আঘাত করবে তাদের পারস্পরিক বাকবিতন্ডাকালে।
They will not (have to) wait for aught but a single Blast: it will seize them while they are yet disputing among themselves! |

যেদিন মানুষ নিশ্চিত সেই ভয়াবহ আওয়াজ শুনতে পাবে, সেদিনই পুনরত্থান দিবস।
The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection. |

নিশ্চয় তোমরা তাদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ তা’আলা অপেক্ষা অধিকতর ভয়াবহ। এটা এ কারণে যে, তারা এক নির্বোধ সম্প্রদায়।
Of a truth ye are stronger (than they) because of the terror in their hearts, (sent) by Allah. This is because they are men devoid of understanding. |
