এটি আল্লাহর হেদায়েত। স্বীয় বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা, এপথে চালান। যদি তারা শেরেকী করত, তবে তাদের কাজ কর্ম তাদের জন্যে ব্যর্থ হয়ে যেত।
This is the guidance of Allah: He giveth that guidance to whom He pleaseth, of His worshippers. If they were to join other gods with Him, all that they did would be vain for them. |
(আল আনআম:
আয়াতঃ ৮৮) |

পয়গম্বরগণ ফয়সালা চাইতে লাগলেন এবং প্রত্যেক অবাধ্য, হঠকারী ব্যর্থ কাম হল।
But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor. |

| 3 |
কিংবা চলাফেরার মধ্যেই তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করবে, তারা তো তা ব্যর্থ করতে পারবে না।
Or that He may not call them to account in the midst of their goings to and fro, without a chance of their frustrating Him?- |

আমি রাসূলগনকে সুসংবাদ দাতা ও ভয় প্রদর্শন কারীরূপেই প্রেরণ করি এবং কাফেররাই মিথ্যা অবলম্বনে বিতর্ক করে, তা দ্বারা সত্যকে ব্যর্থ করে দেয়ার উদ্দেশে এবং তারা আমার নিদর্শনাবলীও যদ্বারা তাদেরকে ভয় প্রদর্শন করা হয়, সেগুলোকে ঠাট্টারূপে গ্রহণ করেছে।
We only send the messengers to give Glad Tidings and to give warnings: But the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat My Signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned! |

সেই চিরঞ্জীব চিরস্থায়ীর সামনে সব মুখমন্ডল অবনমিত হবে এবং সে ব্যর্থ হবে যে জুলুমের বোঝা বহন করবে।
(All) faces shall be humbled before (Him) - the Living, the Self-Subsisting, Eternal: hopeless indeed will be the man that carries iniquity (on his back). |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১১১) |

এবং যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে ব্যর্থ করার জন্যে চেষ্টা করে, তারাই দোযখের অধিবাসী।
"But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them,- they will be Companions of the Fire." |

আর যারা আমার আয়াত সমূহকে ব্যর্থ করার জন্য উঠে পড়ে লেগে যায়, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রনাদায়ক শাস্তি।
But those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them,- for such will be a Penalty,- a Punishment most humiliating. |

আর যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহকে ব্যর্থ করার অপপ্রয়াসে লিপ্ত হয়, তাদেরকে আযাবে উপস্থিত করা হবে।
Those who strive against Our Signs, to frustrate them, will be given over into Punishment. |

কেউ সম্মান চাইলে জেনে রাখুন, সমস্ত সম্মান আল্লাহরই জন্যে। তাঁরই দিকে আরোহণ করে সৎবাক্য এবং সৎকর্ম তাকে তুলে নেয়। যারা মন্দ কার্যের চক্রান্তে লেগে থাকে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি। তাদের চক্রান্ত ব্যর্থ হবে।
If any do seek for glory and power,- to Allah belong all glory and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: It is He Who exalts each Deed of Righteousness. Those that lay Plots of Evil,- for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will be void (of result). |

তাদের পূর্বে নূহের সম্প্রদায় মিথ্যারোপ করেছিল, আর তাদের পরে অন্য অনেক দল ও প্রত্যেক সম্প্রদায় নিজ নিজ পয়গম্বরকে আক্রমণ করার ইচ্ছা করেছিল এবং তারা মিথ্যা বিতর্কে প্রবৃত্ত হয়েছিল, যেন সত্যধর্মকে ব্যর্থ করে দিতে পারে। অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে পাকড়াও করলাম। কেমন ছিল আমার শাস্তি।
But (there were people) before them, who denied (the Signs),- the People of Noah, and the Confederates (of Evil) after them; and every People plotted against their prophet, to seize him, and disputed by means of vanities, therewith to condemn the Truth; but it was I that seized them! and how (terrible) was My Requital! |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৫) |

অতঃপর মূসা যখন আমার কাছ থেকে সত্যসহ তাদের কাছে পৌঁছাল; তখন তারা বলল, যারা তার সঙ্গী হয়ে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছে, তাদের পুত্র সন্তানদেরকে হত্যা কর, আর তাদের নারীদেরকে জীবিত রাখ। কাফেরদের চক্রান্ত ব্যর্থই হয়েছে।
Now, when he came to them in Truth, from Us, they said, "Slay the sons of those who believe with him, and keep alive their females," but the plots of Unbelievers (end) in nothing but errors (and delusions)!... |

আকাশের পথে, অতঃপর উঁকি মেরে দেখব মূসার আল্লাহকে। বস্তুতঃ আমি তো তাকে মিথ্যাবাদীই মনে করি। এভাবেই ফেরাউনের কাছে সুশোভিত করা হয়েছিল তার মন্দ কর্মকে এবং সোজা পথ থেকে তাকে বিরত রাখা হয়েছিল। ফেরাউনের চক্রান্ত ব্যর্থ হওয়ারই ছিল।
"The ways and means of (reaching) the heavens, and that I may mount up to the god of Moses: But as far as I am concerned, I think (Moses) is a liar!" Thus was made alluring, in Pharaoh's eyes, the evil of his deeds, and he was hindered from the Path; and the plot of Pharaoh led to nothing but perdition (for him). |
(আল-মু'মিন:
আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |

যারা কুফরী করে এবং আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করে, আল্লাহ তাদের সকল কর্ম ব্যর্থ করে দেন।
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah,- their deeds will Allah render astray (from their mark). |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 14 |
এটা এজন্যে যে, আল্লাহ যা নাযিল করেছেন, তারা তা পছন্দ করে না। অতএব, আল্লাহ তাদের কর্ম ব্যর্থ করে দিবেন।
That is because they hate the Revelation of Allah; so He has made their deeds fruitless. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ৯) |
| 15 |
যারা মুমিন, তারা বলেঃ একটি সূরা নাযিল হয় না কেন? অতঃপর যখন কোন দ্ব্যর্থহীন সূরা নাযিল হয় এবং তাতে জেহাদের উল্লেখ করা হয়, তখন যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, আপনি তাদেরকে মৃত্যুভয়ে মূর্ছাপ্রাপ্ত মানুষের মত আপনার দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকতে দেখবেন। সুতরাং ধ্বংস তাদের জন্যে।
Those who believe say, "Why is not a sura sent down (for us)?" But when a sura of basic or categorical meaning is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein, thou wilt see those in whose hearts is a disease looking at thee with a look of one in swoon at the approach of death. But more fitting for them- |

এটা এজন্যে যে, তারা সেই বিষয়ের অনুসরণ করে, যা আল্লাহর অসন্তোষ সৃষ্টি করে এবং আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টিকে অপছন্দ করে। ফলে তিনি তাদের কর্মসমূহ ব্যর্থ করে দেন।
This because they followed that which called forth the Wrath of Allah, and they hated Allah's good pleasure; so He made their deeds of no effect. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 17 |
নিশ্চয় যারা কাফের এবং আল্লাহর পথ থেকে মানুষকে ফিরিয়ে রাখে এবং নিজেদের জন্যে সৎপথ ব্যক্ত হওয়ার পর রসূলের (সঃ) বিরোধিতা করে, তারা আল্লাহর কোনই ক্ষতি করতে পারবে না এবং তিনি ব্যর্থ করে দিবেন তাদের কর্মসমূহকে।
Those who reject Allah, hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and resist the Messenger, after Guidance has been clearly shown to them, will not injure Allah in the least, but He will make their deeds of no effect. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ৩২) |
| 18 |
অতঃপর তুমি বার বার তাকিয়ে দেখ-তোমার দৃষ্টি ব্যর্থ ও পরিশ্রান্ত হয়ে তোমার দিকে ফিরে আসবে।
Again turn thy vision a second time: (thy) vision will come back to thee dull and discomfited, in a state worn out. |
(আল মুলক:
আয়াতঃ ৪) |
| 19 |
এবং যে নিজেকে কলুষিত করে, সে ব্যর্থ মনোরথ হয়।
And he fails that corrupts it! |
