আর কোন লোক এমনও রয়েছে যারা অন্যান্যকে আল্লাহর সমকক্ষ সাব্যস্ত করে এবং তাদের প্রতি তেমনি ভালবাসা পোষণ করে, যেমন আল্লাহর প্রতি ভালবাসা হয়ে থাকে। কিন্তু যারা আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমানদার তাদের ভালবাসা ওদের তুলনায় বহুগুণ বেশী। আর কতইনা উত্তম হ’ত যদি এ জালেমরা পার্থিব কোন কোন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করেই উপলব্ধি করে নিত যে, যাবতীয় ক্ষমতা শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহরই জন্য এবং আল্লাহর আযাবই সবচেয়ে কঠিনতর।
Yet there are men who take (for worship) others besides Allah, as equal (with Allah): They love them as they should love Allah. But those of Faith are overflowing in their love for Allah. If only the unrighteous could see, behold, they would see the penalty: that to Allah belongs all power, and Allah will strongly enforce the penalty. |

আর তাদেরকে তাদের নবী বললেন, নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ তালূতকে তোমাদের জন্য বাদশাহ সাব্যস্ত করেছেন। তারা বলতে লাগল তা কেমন করে হয় যে, তার শাসন চলবে আমাদের উপর। অথচ রাষ্ট্রক্ষমতা পাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে তার চেয়ে আমাদেরই অধিকার বেশী। আর সে সম্পদের দিক দিয়েও সচ্ছল নয়। নবী বললেন, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদের উপর তাকে পছন্দ করেছেন এবং স্বাস্থ্য ও জ্ঞানের দিক দিয়ে প্রাচুর্য দান করেছেন। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ তাকেই রাজ্য দান করেন, যাকে ইচ্ছা। আর আল্লাহ হলেন অনুগ্রহ দানকারী এবং সব বিষয়ে অবগত।
Their Prophet said to them: "Allah hath appointed Talut as king over you." They said: "How can he exercise authority over us when we are better fitted than he to exercise authority, and he is not even gifted, with wealth in abundance?" He said: "Allah hath Chosen him above you, and hath gifted him abundantly with knowledge and bodily prowess: Allah Granteth His authority to whom He pleaseth. Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things." |

পিতা-মাতা ও আত্নীয়-স্বজনদের পরিত্যক্ত সম্পত্তিতে পুরুষদেরও অংশ আছে এবং পিতা-মাতা ও আত্নীয়-স্বজনদের পরিত্যক্ত সম্পত্তিতে নারীদেরও অংশ আছে; অল্প হোক কিংবা বেশী। এ অংশ নির্ধারিত।
From what is left by parents and those nearest related there is a share for men and a share for women, whether the property be small or large,-a determinate share. |

হে ঈমানদারগণ, তোমরা ন্যায়ের উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত থাক; আল্লাহর ওয়াস্তে ন্যায়সঙ্গত সাক্ষ্যদান কর, তাতে তোমাদের নিজের বা পিতা-মাতার অথবা নিকটবর্তী আত্নীয়-স্বজনের যদি ক্ষতি হয় তবুও। কেউ যদি ধনী কিংবা দরিদ্র হয়, তবে আল্লাহ তাদের শুভাকাঙ্খী তোমাদের চাইতে বেশী। অতএব, তোমরা বিচার করতে গিয়ে রিপুর কামনা-বাসনার অনুসরণ করো না। আর যদি তোমরা ঘুরিয়ে-পেঁচিয়ে কথা বল কিংবা পাশ কাটিয়ে যাও, তবে আল্লাহ তোমাদের যাবতীয় কাজ কর্ম সম্পর্কেই অবগত।
O ye who believe! stand out firmly for justice, as witnesses to Allah, even as against yourselves, or your parents, or your kin, and whether it be (against) rich or poor: for Allah can best protect both. Follow not the lusts (of your hearts), lest ye swerve, and if ye distort (justice) or decline to do justice, verily Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. |

যারা সৎকর্ম করেছে তাদের জন্য রয়েছে কল্যাণ এবং তারও চেয়ে বেশী। আর তাদের মুখমন্ডলকে আবৃত করবে না মলিনতা কিংবা অপমান। তারাই হল জান্নাতবাসী, এতেই তারা বসবাস করতে থাকবে অনন্তকাল।
To those who do right is a goodly (reward)- Yea, more (than in measure)! No darkness nor shame shall cover their faces! they are companions of the garden; they will abide therein (for aye)! |
