এমন কে আছে যে, আল্লাহকে করজ দেবে, উত্তম করজ; অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে দ্বিগুণ-বহুগুণ বৃদ্ধি করে দিবেন। আল্লাহই সংকোচিত করেন এবং তিনিই প্রশস্ততা দান করেন এবং তাঁরই নিকট তোমরা সবাই ফিরে যাবে।
Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return. |

অতঃপর তাঁর পালনকর্তা তাঁকে উত্তম ভাবে গ্রহণ করে নিলেন এবং তাঁকে প্রবৃদ্ধি দান করলেন-অত্যন্ত সুন্দর প্রবৃদ্ধি। আর তাঁকে যাকারিয়ার তত্ত্বাবধানে সমর্পন করলেন। যখনই যাকারিয়া মেহরাবের মধ্যে তার কছে আসতেন তখনই কিছু খাবার দেখতে পেতেন। জিজ্ঞেস করতেন "মারইয়াম! কোথা থেকে এসব তোমার কাছে এলো?" তিনি বলতেন, "এসব আল্লাহর নিকট থেকে আসে। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা বেহিসাব রিযিক দান করেন।"
Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. Every time that he entered (Her) chamber to see her, He found her supplied with sustenance. He said: "O Mary! Whence (comes) this to you?" She said: "From Allah: for Allah Provides sustenance to whom He pleases without measure." |

| 3 |
যারা ঈমান আনার পর অস্বীকার করেছে এবং অস্বীকৃতিতে বৃদ্ধি ঘটেছে, কস্মিণকালেও তাদের তওবা কবুল করা হবে না। আর তারা হলো গোমরাহ।
But those who reject Faith after they accepted it, and then go on adding to their defiance of Faith,- never will their repentance be accepted; for they are those who have (of set purpose) gone astray. |

| 4 |
হে ঈমানদারগণ! তোমরা চক্রবৃদ্ধি হারে সুদ খেয়ো না। আর আল্লাহকে ভয় করতে থাক, যাতে তোমরা কল্যাণ অর্জন করতে পারো।
O ye who believe! Devour not usury, doubled and multiplied; but fear Allah; that ye may (really) prosper. |
(আল ইমরান:
আয়াতঃ ১৩০) |

আর মুহাম্মদ একজন রসূল বৈ তো নয়! তাঁর পূর্বেও বহু রসূল অতিবাহিত হয়ে গেছেন। তাহলে কি তিনি যদি মৃত্যুবরণ করেন অথবা নিহত হন, তবে তোমরা পশ্চাদপসরণ করবে? বস্তুতঃ কেউ যদি পশ্চাদপসরণ করে, তবে তাতে আল্লাহর কিছুই ক্ষতি-বৃদ্ধি হবে না। আর যারা কৃতজ্ঞ, আল্লাহ তাদের সওয়াব দান করবেন।
Muhammad is no more than a messenger: many Were the messenger that passed away before him. If he died or were slain, will ye then Turn back on your heels? If any did turn back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah; but Allah (on the other hand) will swiftly reward those who (serve Him) with gratitude. |

বলে দিনঃ হে আহলে কিতাবগণ, তোমরা কোন পথেই নও, যে পর্যন্ত না তোমরা তওরাত, ইঞ্জিল এবং যে গ্রন্থ তোমাদের পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে তোমাদের প্রতি অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে তাও পুরোপুরি পালন না কর। আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছ থেকে আপনার প্রতি যা অবর্তীণ হয়েছে, তার কারণে তাদের অনেকের অবাধ্যতা ও কুফর বৃদ্ধি পাবে। অতএব, এ কাফের সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না।
Say: "O People of the Book! ye have no ground to stand upon unless ye stand fast by the Law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that has come to you from your Lord." It is the revelation that cometh to thee from thy Lord, that increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. But sorrow thou not over (these) people without Faith. |

এই মাস পিছিয়ে দেয়ার কাজ কেবল কুফরীর মাত্রা বৃদ্ধি করে, যার ফলে কাফেরগণ গোমরাহীতে পতিত হয়। এরা হালাল করে নেয় একে এক বছর এবং হারাম করে নেয় অন্য বছর, যাতে তারা গণনা পূর্ণ করে নেয় আল্লাহর নিষিদ্ধ মাসগুলোর। অতঃপর হালাল করে নেয় আল্লাহর হারামকৃত মাসগুলোকে। তাদের মন্দকাজগুলো তাদের জন্যে শোভনীয় করে দেয়া হল। আর আল্লাহ কাফের সম্প্রদায়কে হেদায়েত করেন না।
Verily the transposing (of a prohibited month) is an addition to Unbelief: the Unbelievers are led to wrong thereby: for they make it lawful one year, and forbidden another year, in order to adjust the number of months forbidden by Allah and make such forbidden ones lawful. The evil of their course seems pleasing to them. But Allah guideth not those who reject Faith. |

যদি তোমাদের সাথে তারা বের হত, তবে তোমাদের অনিষ্ট ছাড়া আর কিছু বৃদ্ধি করতো না, আর অশ্ব ছুটাতো তোমাদের মধ্যে বিভেদ সৃষ্টির উদ্দেশে। আর তোমাদের মাঝে রয়েছে তাদের গুপ্তচর। বস্তুতঃ আল্লাহ যালিমদের ভালভাবেই জানেন।
If they had come out with you, they would not have added to your (strength) but only (made for) disorder, hurrying to and fro in your midst and sowing sedition among you, and there would have been some among you who would have listened to them. But Allah knoweth well those who do wrong. |

আর যখন কোন সূরা অবতীর্ণ হয়, তখন তাদের কেউ কেউ বলে, এ সূরা তোমাদের মধ্যেকার ঈমান কতটা বৃদ্ধি করলো? অতএব যারা ঈমানদার, এ সূরা তাদের ঈমান বৃদ্ধি করেছে এবং তারা আনন্দিত হয়েছে।
Whenever there cometh down a sura, some of them say: "Which of you has had His faith increased by it?" Yea, those who believe,- their faith is increased and they do rejoice. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১২৪) |
| 10 |
বস্তুতঃ যাদের অন্তরে ব্যাধি রয়েছে এটি তাদের কলুষের সাথে আরো কলুষ বৃদ্ধি করেছে এবং তারা কাফের অবস্থায়ই মৃত্যু বরণ করলো।
But those in whose hearts is a disease,- it will add doubt to their doubt, and they will die in a state of Unbelief. |
(আত তাওবাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১২৫) |

আর হে আমার কওম! তোমাদের পালন কর্তার কাছে তোমরা ক্ষমা প্রার্থনা কর, অতঃপর তাঁরই প্রতি মনোনিবেশ কর; তিনি আসমান থেকে তোমাদের উপর বৃষ্টি ধারা প্রেরণ করবেন এবং তোমাদের শক্তির উপর শক্তি বৃদ্ধি করবেন, তোমরা কিন্তু অপরাধীদের মত বিমুখ হয়ো না।
"And O my people! Ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn to Him (in repentance): He will send you the skies pouring abundant rain, and add strength to your strength: so turn ye not back in sin!" |

আয়াতঃ ৫২) |
| 12 |
সালেহ বললেন-হে আমার জাতি! তোমরা কি মনে কর, আমি যদি আমার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ হতে বুদ্ধি বিবেচনা লাভ করে থাকি আর তিনি যদি আমাকে নিজের তরফ হতে রহমত দান করে থাকেন, অতঃপর আমি যদি তাঁর অবাধ্য হই তবে তার থেকে কে আমায় রক্ষা করবে? তোমরা তো আমার ক্ষতি ছাড়া কিছুই বৃদ্ধি করতে পরবে না
He said: "O my people! do ye see? if I have a Clear (Sign) from my Lord and He hath sent Mercy unto me from Himself,- who then can help me against Allah if I were to disobey Him? What then would ye add to my (portion) but perdition? |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৩) |

আমি কিন্তু তাদের প্রতি জুলুম করি নাই বরং তারা নিজেরাই নিজের উপর অবিচার করেছে। ফলে আল্লাহকে বাদ দিয়ে তারা যেসব মাবুদকে ডাকতো আপনার পালনকর্তার হুকুম যখন এসে পড়ল, তখন কেউ কোন কাজে আসল না। তারা শুধু বিপর্যয়ই বৃদ্ধি করল।
It was not We that wronged them: They wronged their own souls: the deities, other than Allah, whom they invoked, profited them no whit when there issued the decree of thy Lord: Nor did they add aught (to their lot) but perdition! |
(হুদ:
আয়াতঃ ১০১) |
| 14 |
আমি এই কোরআনে নানাভাবে বুঝিয়েছি, যাতে তারা চিন্তা করে। অথচ এতে তাদের কেবল বিমুখতাই বৃদ্ধি পায়।
We have explained (things) in various (ways) in this Qur'an, in order that they may receive admonition, but it only increases their flight (from the Truth)! |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৪১) |
| 15 |
এবং স্মরণ করুন, আমি আপনাকে বলে দিয়েছিলাম যে, আপনার পালনকর্তা মানুষকে পরিবেষ্টন করে রেখেছেন এবং যে দৃশ্য আমি আপনাকে দেখিয়েছি তাও কোরআনে উল্লেখিত অভিশপ্ত বৃক্ষ কেবল মানুষের পরীক্ষার জন্যে। আমি তাদেরকে ভয় প্রদর্শন করি। কিন্তু এতে তাদের অবাধ্যতাই আরও বৃদ্ধি পায়।
Behold! We told thee that thy Lord doth encompass mankind round about: We granted the vision which We showed thee, but as a trial for men,- as also the Cursed Tree (mentioned) in the Qur'an: We put terror (and warning) into them, but it only increases their inordinate transgression! |

আয়াতঃ ৬০) |
| 16 |
আমি কোরআনে এমন বিষয় নাযিল করি যা রোগের সুচিকিৎসা এবং মুমিনের জন্য রহমত। গোনাহগারদের তো এতে শুধু ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি পায়।
We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur'an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৮২) |
| 17 |
আল্লাহ যাকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন, সেই তো সঠিক পথ প্রাপ্ত এবং যাকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করেন, তাদের জন্যে আপনি আল্লাহ ছাড়া কোন সাহায্যকারী পাবেন না। আমি কেয়ামতের দিন তাদের সমবেত করব তাদের মুখে ভর দিয়ে চলা অবস্থায়, অন্ধ অবস্থায়, মুক অবস্থায় এবং বধির অবস্থায়। তাদের আবাসস্থল জাহান্নাম। যখনই নির্বাপিত হওয়ার উপক্রম হবে আমি তখন তাদের জন্যে অগ্নি আরও বৃদ্ধি করে দিব।
It is he whom Allah guides, that is on true Guidance; but he whom He leaves astray - for such wilt thou find no protector besides Him. On the Day of Judgment We shall gather, them together, prone on their faces, blind, dumb, and deaf: their abode will be Hell: every time it shows abatement, We shall increase from them the fierceness of the Fire. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ৯৭) |
| 18 |
তারা ক্রন্দন করতে করতে নতমস্তকে ভুমিতে লুটিয়ে পড়ে এবং তাদের বিনয়ভাব আরো বৃদ্ধি পায়।
They fall down on their faces in tears, and it increases their (earnest) humility. |
(বনী ইসরাঈল:
আয়াতঃ ১০৯) |
| 19 |
যারা সৎপথে চলে আল্লাহ তাদের পথপ্রাপ্তি বৃদ্ধি করেন এবং স্থায়ী সৎকর্মসমূহ তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে সওয়াবের দিক দিয়ে শ্রেষ্ঠ এবং প্রতিদান হিসেবেও শ্রেষ্ট।
"And Allah doth advance in guidance those who seek guidance: and the things that endure, Good Deeds, are best in the sight of thy Lord, as rewards, and best in respect of (their) eventual return." |
(মারইয়াম:
আয়াতঃ ৭৬) |
| 20 |
সত্যিকার অধীশ্বর আল্লাহ মহান। আপনার প্রতি আল্লাহর ওহী সম্পুর্ণ হওয়ার পূর্বে আপনি কোরআন গ্রহণের ব্যপারে তাড়াহুড়া করবেন না এবং বলুনঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার জ্ঞান বৃদ্ধি করুন।
High above all is Allah, the King, the Truth! Be not in haste with the Qur'an before its revelation to thee is completed, but say, "O my Lord! advance me in knowledge." |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১১৪) |
| 21 |
তাদেরকে যখন বলা হয়, দয়াময়কে সেজদা কর, তখন তারা বলে, দয়াময় আবার কে? তুমি কাউকে সেজদা করার আদেশ করলেই কি আমরা সেজদা করব? এতে তাদের পলায়নপরতাই বৃদ্ধি পায়।
When it is said to them, "Prostrate to (Allah) Most Gracious!", they say, "And what is (Allah) Most Gracious? Shall we prostrate to that which thou commandest us?" And it increases their flight (from the Truth). |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৬০) |
| 22 |
মানুষের ধন-সম্পদে তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ বৃদ্ধি পাবে, এই আশায় তোমরা সুদে যা কিছু দাও, আল্লাহর কাছে তা বৃদ্ধি পায় না। পক্ষান্তরে, আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের আশায় পবিত্র অন্তরে যারা দিয়ে থাকে, অতএব, তারাই দ্বিগুণ লাভ করে।
That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied. |
(আর-রূম:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 23 |
যখন মুমিনরা শক্রবাহিনীকে দেখল, তখন বলল, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল এরই ওয়াদা আমাদেরকে দিয়েছিলেন এবং আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল সত্য বলেছেন। এতে তাদের ঈমান ও আত্নসমর্পণই বৃদ্ধি পেল।
When the Believers saw the Confederate forces, they said: "This is what Allah and his Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger told us what was true." And it only added to their faith and their zeal in obedience. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 24 |
তিনিই তোমাদেরকে পৃথিবীতে স্বীয় প্রতিনিধি করেছেন। অতএব যে কুফরী করবে তার কুফরী তার উপরই বর্তাবে। কাফেরদের কুফর কেবল তাদের পালনকর্তার ক্রোধই বৃদ্ধি করে এবং কাফেরদের কুফর কেবল তাদের ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করে।
He it is That has made you inheritors in the earth: if, then, any do reject (Allah), their rejection (works) against themselves: their rejection but adds to the odium for the Unbelievers in the sight of their Lord: their rejection but adds to (their own) undoing. |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |
| 25 |
তারা কি জানেনি যে, আল্লাহ যার জন্যে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বৃদ্ধি করেন এবং পরিমিত দেন। নিশ্চয় এতে বিশ্বাসী সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
Know they not that Allah enlarges the provision or restricts it, for any He pleases? Verily, in this are Signs for those who believe! |
(আল-যুমার:
আয়াতঃ ৫২) |
| 26 |
আকাশ ও পৃথিবীর চাবি তাঁর কাছে। তিনি যার জন্যে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বৃদ্ধি করেন এবং পরিমিত করেন। তিনি সর্ব বিষয়ে জ্ঞানী।
To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: He enlarges and restricts. The Sustenance to whom He will: for He knows full well all things. |
(আশ-শুরা:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 27 |
কে সেই ব্যক্তি, যে আল্লাহকে উত্তম ধার দিবে, এরপর তিনি তার জন্যে তা বহুগুণে বৃদ্ধি করবেন এবং তার জন্যে রয়েছে সম্মানিত পুরস্কার।
Who is he that will Loan to Allah a beautiful loan? for (Allah) will increase it manifold to his credit, and he will have (besides) a liberal Reward. |
(আল হাদীদ:
আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 28 |
কিন্তু আমার দাওয়াত তাদের পলায়নকেই বৃদ্ধি করেছে।
"But my call only increases (their) flight (from the Right). |
(নূহ:
আয়াতঃ ৬) |
| 29 |
নূহ বললঃ হে আমার পালনকর্তা, আমার সম্প্রদায় আমাকে অমান্য করেছে আর অনুসরণ করছে এমন লোককে, যার ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি কেবল তার ক্ষতিই বৃদ্ধি করছে।
Noah said: "O my Lord! They have disobeyed me, but they follow (men) whose wealth and children give them no increase but only Loss. |
(নূহ:
আয়াতঃ ২১) |
| 30 |
হে আমার পালনকর্তা! আপনি আমাকে, আমার পিতা-মাতাকে, যারা মুমিন হয়ে আমার গৃহে প্রবেশ করে-তাদেরকে এবং মুমিন পুরুষ ও মুমিন নারীদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন এবং যালেমদের কেবল ধ্বংসই বৃদ্ধি করুন।
"O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition!" |
(নূহ:
আয়াতঃ ২৮) |
| 31 |
আমি জাহান্নামের তত্ত্বাবধায়ক ফেরেশতাই রেখেছি। আমি কাফেরদেরকে পরীক্ষা করার জন্যেই তার এই সংখ্যা করেছি-যাতে কিতাবীরা দৃঢ়বিশ্বাসী হয়, মুমিনদের ঈমান বৃদ্ধি পায় এবং কিতাবীরা ও মুমিনগণ সন্দেহ পোষণ না করে এবং যাতে যাদের অন্তরে রোগ আছে, তারা এবং কাফেররা বলে যে, আল্লাহ এর দ্বারা কি বোঝাতে চেয়েছেন। এমনিভাবে আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথভ্রষ্ট করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথে চালান। আপনার পালনকর্তার বাহিনী সম্পর্কে একমাত্র তিনিই জানেন এটা তো মানুষের জন্যে উপদেশ বৈ নয়।
And We have set none but angels as Guardians of the Fire; and We have fixed their number only as a trial for Unbelievers,- in order that the People of the Book may arrive at certainty, and the Believers may increase in Faith,- and that no doubts may be left for the People of the Book and the Believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the Unbelievers may say, "What symbol doth Allah intend by this?" Thus doth Allah leave to stray whom He pleaseth, and guide whom He pleaseth: and none can know the forces of thy Lord, except He and this is no other than a warning to mankind. |
(আল মুদ্দাসসির:

অতএব, তোমরা আস্বাদন কর, আমি কেবল তোমাদের শাস্তিই বৃদ্ধি করব।
"So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment." |
