আর যখন তোমরা স্ত্রীদেরকে তালাক দিয়ে দাও, অতঃপর তারা নির্ধারিত ইদ্দত সমাপ্ত করে নেয়, তখন তোমরা নিয়ম অনুযায়ী তাদেরকে রেখে দাও অথবা সহানুভুতির সাথে তাদেরকে মুক্ত করে দাও। আর তোমরা তাদেরকে জ্বালাতন ও বাড়াবাড়ি করার উদ্দেশ্যে আটকে রেখো না। আর যারা এমন করবে, নিশ্চয়ই তারা নিজেদেরই ক্ষতি করবে। আর আল্লাহর নির্দেশকে হাস্যকর বিষয়ে পরিণত করো না। আল্লাহর সে অনুগ্রহের কথা স্মরণ কর, যা তোমাদের উপর রয়েছে এবং তাও স্মরণ কর, যে কিতাব ও জ্ঞানের কথা তোমাদের উপর নাযিল করা হয়েছে যার দ্বারা তোমাদেরকে উপদেশ দান করা হয়। আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং জেনে রাখ যে, আল্লাহ সর্ববিষয়েই জ্ঞানময়।
When ye divorce women, and they fulfil the term of their ('Iddat), either take them back on equitable terms or set them free on equitable terms; but do not take them back to injure them, (or) to take undue advantage; if any one does that; He wrongs his own soul. Do not treat Allah's Signs as a jest, but solemnly rehearse Allah's favours on you, and the fact that He sent down to you the Book and Wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah, and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things. |

আর আপনি যখন পরিজনদের কাছ থেকে সকাল বেলা বেরিয়ে গিয়ে মুমিনগণকে যুদ্ধের অবস্থানে বিন্যস্ত করলেন, আর আল্লাহ সব বিষয়েই শোনেন এবং জানেন।
Remember that morning Thou didst leave Thy household (early) to post the faithful at their stations for battle: And Allah heareth and knoweth all things: |

আপনার যে কল্যাণ হয়, তা হয় আল্লাহর পক্ষ থেকে আর আপনার যে অকল্যাণ হয়, সেটা হয় আপনার নিজের কারণে। আর আমি আপনাকে পাঠিয়েছি মানুষের প্রতি আমার পয়গামের বাহক হিসাবে। আর আল্লাহ সব বিষয়েই যথেষ্ট-সববিষয়ই তাঁর সম্মুখে উপস্থিত।
Whatever good, (O man!) happens to thee, is from Allah; but whatever evil happens to thee, is from thy (own) soul. and We have sent thee as a messenger to (instruct) mankind. And enough is Allah for a witness. |

এবং সুলায়মানের অধীন করে দিয়েছিলাম প্রবল বায়ুকে; তা তাঁর আদেশে প্রবাহিত হত ঐ দেশের দিকে, যেখানে আমি কল্যাণ দান করেছি। আমি সব বিষয়েই সম্যক অবগত রয়েছি।
(It was Our power that made) the violent (unruly) wind flow (tamely) for Solomon, to his order, to the land which We had blessed: for We do know all things. |

তোমরা যে বিষয়েই মতভেদ কর, তার ফয়সালা আল্লাহর কাছে সোপর্দ। ইনিই আল্লাহ আমার পালনকর্তা আমি তাঁরই উপর নির্ভর করি এবং তাঁরই অভিমুখী হই।
Whatever it be wherein ye differ, the decision thereof is with Allah: such is Allah my Lord: In Him I trust, and to Him I turn. |

আপনি কি ভেবে দেখেননি, যাদেরকে কানাঘুষা করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছিল অতঃপর তারা নিষিদ্ধ কাজেরই পুনরাবৃত্তি করে এবং পাপাচার, সীমালংঘন এবং রসূলের অবাধ্যতার বিষয়েই কানাঘুষা করে। তারা যখন আপনার কাছে আসে, তখন আপনাকে এমন ভাষায় সালাম করে, যদ্দ্বারা আল্লাহ আপনাকে সালাম করেননি। তারা মনে মনে বলেঃ আমরা যা বলি, তজ্জন্যে আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে শাস্তি দেন না কেন? জাহান্নামই তাদের জন্যে যথেষ্ট। তারা তাতে প্রবেশ করবে। কতই না নিকৃষ্ট সেই জায়গা।
Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that which they were forbidden (to do)? And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Messenger. And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked ways): And they say to themselves, "Why does not Allah punish us for our words?" Enough for them is Hell: In it will they burn, and evil is that destination! |
