অতএব, তোমার পালনকর্তার কসম, সে লোক ঈমানদার হবে না, যতক্ষণ না তাদের মধ্যে সৃষ্ট বিবাদের ব্যাপারে তোমাকে ন্যায়বিচারক বলে মনে না করে। অতঃপর তোমার মীমাংসার ব্যাপারে নিজের মনে কোন রকম সংকীর্ণতা পাবে না এবং তা হূষ্টচিত্তে কবুল করে নেবে।
But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make thee judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against Thy decisions, but accept them with the fullest conviction. |

তোমরা কি সেই দলের সাথে যুদ্ধ করবে না; যারা ভঙ্গ করেছে নিজেদের শপথ এবং সঙ্কল্প নিয়েছে রসূলকে বহিস্কারের? আর এরাই প্রথম তোমাদের সাথে বিবাদের সূত্রপাত করেছে। তোমরা কি তাদের ভয় কর? অথচ তোমাদের ভয়ের অধিকতর যোগ্য হলেন আল্লাহ, যদি তোমরা মুমিন হও।
Will ye not fight people who violated their oaths, plotted to expel the Messenger, and took the aggressive by being the first (to assault) you? Do ye fear them? Nay, it is Allah Whom ye should more justly fear, if ye believe! |
