অতঃপর এ ঘটনার পরে তোমাদের অন্তর কঠিন হয়ে গেছে। তা পাথরের মত অথবা তদপেক্ষাও কঠিন। পাথরের মধ্যে এমন ও আছে; যা থেকে ঝরণা প্রবাহিত হয়, এমনও আছে, যা বিদীর্ণ হয়, অতঃপর তা থেকে পানি নির্গত হয় এবং এমনও আছে, যা আল্লাহর ভয়ে খসেপড়তে থাকে! আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজকর্ম সম্পর্কে বে-খবর নন।
Thenceforth were your hearts hardened: They became like a rock and even worse in hardness. For among rocks there are some from which rivers gush forth; others there are which when split asunder send forth water; and others which sink for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unmindful of what ye do. |

পৃথিবীতে দম্ভভরে পদচারণা করো না। নিশ্চয় তুমি তো ভূ পৃষ্ঠকে কখনই বিদীর্ণ করতে পারবে না এবং উচ্চতায় তুমি কখনই পর্বত প্রমাণ হতে পারবে না।
Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height. |

সেদিন আকাশ মেঘমালাসহ বিদীর্ণ হবে এবং সেদিন ফেরেশতাদের নামিয়ে দেয়া হবে,
The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- |

অতঃপর আমি মূসাকে আদেশ করলাম, তোমার লাঠি দ্বারা সমূদ্রকে আঘাত কর। ফলে, তা বিদীর্ণ হয়ে গেল এবং প্রত্যেক ভাগ বিশাল পর্বতসদৃশ হয়ে গেল।
Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. |

যেদিন ভূমন্ডল বিদীর্ণ হয়ে মানুষ ছুটাছুটি করে বের হয়ে আসবে। এটা এমন সমবেত করা, যা আমার জন্যে অতি সহজ।
The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together,- quite easy for Us. |

কেয়ামত আসন্ন, চন্দ্র বিদীর্ণ হয়েছে।
The Hour (of Judgment) is nigh, and the moon is cleft asunder. |

যেদিন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে তখন সেটি রক্তবর্ণে রঞ্জিত চামড়ার মত হয়ে যাবে।
When the sky is rent asunder, and it becomes red like ointment: |

যদি আমি এই কোরআন পাহাড়ের উপর অবতীর্ণ করতাম, তবে তুমি দেখতে যে, পাহাড় বিনীত হয়ে আল্লাহ তা’আলার ভয়ে বিদীর্ণ হয়ে গেছে। আমি এসব দৃষ্টান্ত মানুষের জন্যে বর্ণনা করি, যাতে তারা চিন্তা-ভাবনা করে।
Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily, thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes which We propound to men, that they may reflect. |

সেদিন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে ও বিক্ষিপ্ত হবে।
And the sky will be rent asunder, for it will that Day be flimsy, |
(আল হাক্বক্বাহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৬) |

সেদিন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে। তার প্রতিশ্রুতি অবশ্যই বাস্তবায়িত হবে।
Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished. |

আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হয়ে; তাতে বহু দরজা সৃষ্টি হবে।
And the heavens shall be opened as if there were doors, |

এরপর আমি ভূমিকে বিদীর্ণ করেছি,
And We split the earth in fragments, |

যখন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে,
When the Sky is cleft asunder; |

যখন আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে,
When the sky is rent asunder, |
