তাদের অন্তঃকরণ ব্যধিগ্রস্ত আর আল্লাহ তাদের ব্যধি আরো বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন। বস্তুতঃ তাদের জন্য নির্ধারিত রয়েছে ভয়াবহ আযাব, তাদের মিথ্যাচারের দরুন।
In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). |

গৃহে উপবিষ্ট মুসলমান-যাদের কোন সঙ্গত ওযর নেই এবং ঐ মুসলমান যারা জান ও মাল দ্বারা আল্লাহর পথে জেহাদ করে,-সমান নয়। যারা জান ও মাল দ্বারা জেহাদ করে, আল্লাহ তাদের পদমর্যাদা বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন গৃহে উপবিষ্টদের তুলনায় এবং প্রত্যেকের সাথেই আল্লাহ কল্যাণের ওয়াদা করেছেন। আল্লাহ মুজাহেদীনকে উপবিষ্টদের উপর মহান প্রতিদানে শ্রেষ্ঠ করেছেন।
Not equal are those believers who sit (at home) and receive no hurt, and those who strive and fight in the cause of Allah with their goods and their persons. Allah hath granted a grade higher to those who strive and fight with their goods and persons than to those who sit (at home). Unto all (in Faith) Hath Allah promised good: But those who strive and fight Hath He distinguished above those who sit (at home) by a special reward,- |

অবশ্য আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তার মর্যাদা বাড়িয়ে দিতাম সে সকল নিদর্শনসমূহের দৌলতে। কিন্তু সে যে অধঃপতিত এবং নিজের রিপুর অনুগামী হয়ে রইল। সুতরাং তার অবস্থা হল কুকুরের মত; যদি তাকে তাড়া কর তবুও হাঁপাবে আর যদি ছেড়ে দাও তবুও হাঁপাবে। এ হল সেসব লোকের উদাহরণ; যারা মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করেছে আমার নিদর্শনসমূহকে। অতএব, আপনি বিবৃত করুন এসব কাহিনী, যাতে তারা চিন্তা করে।
If it had been Our will, We should have elevated him with Our signs; but he inclined to the earth, and followed his own vain desires. His similitude is that of a dog: if you attack him, he lolls out his tongue, or if you leave him alone, he (still) lolls out his tongue. That is the similitude of those who reject Our signs; So relate the story; perchance they may reflect. |

যারা কাফের হয়েছে এবং আল্লাহর পথে বাধা সৃষ্টি করেছে, আমি তাদেরকে আযাবের পর আযাব বাড়িয়ে দেব। কারণ, তারা অশান্তি সৃষ্টি করত।
Those who reject Allah and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah - for them will We add Penalty to Penalty; for that they used to spread mischief. |

আপনার কাছে তাদের ইতিবৃত্তান্ত সঠিকভাবে বর্ণনা করছি। তারা ছিল কয়েকজন যুবক। তারা তাদের পালনকর্তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছিল এবং আমি তাদের সৎপথে চলার শক্তি বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছিলাম।
We relate to thee their story in truth: they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We advanced them in guidance: |

অতঃপর তারা বলল, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদের ভ্রমণের পরিসর বাড়িয়ে দাও। তারা নিজেদের প্রতি জুলুম করেছিল। ফলে আমি তাদেরকে উপাখ্যানে পরিণত করলাম এবং সম্পূর্ণরূপে ছিন্ন-বিচ্ছিন্ন করে দিলাম। নিশ্চয় এতে প্রত্যেক ধৈর্যশীল কৃতজ্ঞের জন্যে নিদর্শনাবলী রয়েছে।
But they said: "Our Lord! Place longer distances between our journey-stages": but they wronged themselves (therein). At length We made them as a tale (that is told), and We dispersed them all in scattered fragments. Verily in this are Signs for every (soul that is) patiently constant and grateful. |

বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা যাকে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং পরিমিত দেন। কিন্তু অধিকাংশ মানুষ তা বোঝে না।
Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Provision to whom He pleases, but most men understand not." |

বলুন, আমার পালনকর্তা তাঁর বান্দাদের মধ্যে যাকে ইচ্ছা রিযিক বাড়িয়ে দেন এবং সীমিত পরিমাণে দেন। তোমরা যা কিছু ব্যয় কর, তিনি তার বিনিময় দেন। তিনি উত্তম রিযিক দাতা।
Say: "Verily my Lord enlarges and restricts the Sustenance to such of his servants as He pleases: and nothing do ye spend in the least (in His cause) but He replaces it: for He is the Best of those who grant Sustenance. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |

যে কেউ পরকালের ফসল কামনা করে, আমি তার জন্যে সেই ফসল বাড়িয়ে দেই। আর যে ইহকালের ফসল কামনা করে, আমি তাকে তার কিছু দিয়ে দেই এবং পরকালে তার কোন অংশ থাকবে না।
To any that desires the tilth of the Hereafter, We give increase in his tilth, and to any that desires the tilth of this world, We grant somewhat thereof, but he has no share or lot in the Hereafter. |

এরই সুসংবাদ দেন আল্লাহ তার সেসব বান্দাকে, যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে। বলুন, আমি আমার দাওয়াতের জন্যে তোমাদের কাছে কেবল আত্নীয়তাজনিত সৌহার্দ চাই। যে কেউ উত্তম কাজ করে, আমি তার জন্যে তাতে পুণ্য বাড়িয়ে দেই। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাকারী, গুণগ্রাহী।
That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this except the love of those near of kin." And if any one earns any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service). |

তিনি মুমিন ও সৎকর্মীদের দোয়া শোনেন এবং তাদের প্রতি স্বীয় অনুগ্রহ বাড়িয়ে দেন। আর কাফেরদের জন্যে রয়েছে কঠোর শাস্তি।
And He listens to those who believe and do deeds of righteousness, and gives them increase of His Bounty: but for the Unbelievers their is a terrible Penalty. |
(আশ-শুরা:
আয়াতঃ ২৬) |

তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি বাড়িয়ে দিবেন, তোমাদের জন্যে উদ্যান স্থাপন করবেন এবং তোমাদের জন্যে নদীনালা প্রবাহিত করবেন।
"'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). |

| 13 |
অথচ তারা অনেককে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছে। অতএব আপনি জালেমদের পথভ্রষ্টতাই বাড়িয়ে দিন।
"They have already misled many; and grant Thou no increase to the wrong-doers but in straying (from their mark)." |

অনেক মানুষ অনেক জিনের আশ্রয় নিত, ফলে তারা জিনদের আত্নম্ভরিতা বাড়িয়ে দিত।
'True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly. |
