তুমি কি সে লোককে দেখনি, যে পালনকর্তার ব্যাপারে বাদানুবাদ করেছিল ইব্রাহীমের সাথে এ কারণে যে, আল্লাহ সে ব্যাক্তিকে রাজ্য দান করেছিলেন? ইব্রাহীম যখন বললেন, আমার পালনকর্তা হলেন তিনি, যিনি জীবন দান করেন এবং মৃত্যু ঘটান। সে বলল, আমি জীবন দান করি এবং মৃত্যু ঘটিয়ে থাকি। ইব্রাহীম বললেন, নিশ্চয়ই তিনি সুর্যকে উদিত করেন পূর্ব দিক থেকে এবার তুমি তাকে পশ্চিম দিক থেকে উদিত কর। তখন সে কাফের হতভম্ব হয়ে গেল। আর আল্লাহ সীমালংঘণকারী সম্প্রদায়কে সরল পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
Hast thou not Turned thy vision to one who disputed with Abraham About his Lord, because Allah had granted him power? Abraham said: "My Lord is He Who Giveth life and death." He said: "I give life and death". Said Abraham: "But it is Allah that causeth the sun to rise from the east: Do thou then cause him to rise from the West." Thus was he confounded who (in arrogance) rejected faith. Nor doth Allah Give guidance to a people unjust. |

হে আহলে কিতাবগণ! কেন তোমরা ইব্রাহীমের বিষয়ে বাদানুবাদ কর? অথচ তওরাত ও ইঞ্জিল তাঁর পরেই নাযিল হয়েছে। তোমরা কি বুঝ না?
Ye People of the Book! Why dispute ye about Abraham, when the Law and the Gospel Were not revealed Till after him? Have ye no understanding? |

যে নারী তার স্বামীর বিষয়ে আপনার সাথে বাদানুবাদ করছে এবং অভিযোগ পেশ করছে আল্লাহর দরবারে, আল্লাহ তার কথা শুনেছেন। আল্লাহ আপনাদের উভয়ের কথাবার্তা শুনেন। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সবকিছু শুনেন, সবকিছু দেখেন।
Allah has indeed heard (and accepted) the statement of the woman who pleads with thee concerning her husband and carries her complaint (in prayer) to Allah: and Allah (always) hears the arguments between both sides among you: for Allah hears and sees (all things). |
