যাঁরা দাঁড়িয়ে, বসে, ও শায়িত অবস্থায় আল্লাহকে স্মরণ করে এবং চিন্তা গবেষণা করে আসমান ও জমিন সৃষ্টির বিষযে, (তারা বলে) পরওয়ারদেগার! এসব তুমি অনর্থক সৃষ্টি করনি। সকল পবিত্রতা তোমারই, আমাদিগকে তুমি দোযখের শাস্তি থেকে বাঁচাও।
Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): "Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire. |

আর যখন মানুষ কষ্টের সম্মুখীন হয়, শুয়ে বসে, দাঁড়িয়ে আমাকে ডাকতে থাকে। তারপর আমি যখন তা থেকে মুক্ত করে দেই, সে কষ্ট যখন চলে যায় তখন মনে হয় কখনো কোন কষ্টেরই সম্মুখীন হয়ে যেন আমাকে ডাকেইনি। এমনিভাবে মনঃপুত হয়েছে নির্ভয় লোকদের যা তারা করেছে।
When trouble toucheth a man, He crieth unto Us (in all postures)- lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing. But when We have solved his trouble, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to Us for a trouble that touched him! thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes! |

On a Mighty Day, |

সিংহাসনে বসে, তাদেরকে অবলোকন করছে,
On Thrones (of Dignity) they will command (a sight) (of all things). |
