আপনার সম্প্রদায় একে মিথ্যা বলছে, অথচ তা সত্য। আপনি বলে দিনঃ আমি তোমাদের উপর নিয়োজিত নই।
But thy people reject this, though it is the truth. Say: "Not mine is the responsibility for arranging your affairs; |

তারপর তাদের পেছনে এসেছে কিছু অপদার্থ, যারা উত্তরাধিকারী হয়েছে কিতাবের; তারা নিকৃষ্ট পার্থিব উপকরণ আহরণ করছে এবং বলছে, আমাদের ক্ষমা করে দেয়া হবে। বস্তুতঃ এমনি ধরনের উপকরণ যদি আবারো তাদের সামনে উপস্থিত হয়, তবে তাও তুলে নেবে। তাদের কাছথেকে কিতাবে কি অঙ্গীকার নেয়া হয়নি যে, আল্লাহর প্রতি সত্য ছাড়া কিছু বলবে না? অথচ তারা সে সবই পাঠ করেছে, যা তাতে লেখা রয়েছে। বস্তুতঃ আখেরাতের আলয় ভীতদের জন্য উত্তম-তোমরা কি তা বোঝ না ?
After them succeeded an (evil) generation: They inherited the Book, but they chose (for themselves) the vanities of this world, saying (for excuse): "(Everything) will be forgiven us." (Even so), if similar vanities came their way, they would (again) seize them. Was not the covenant of the Book taken from them, that they would not ascribe to Allah anything but the truth? and they study what is in the Book. But best for the righteous is the home in the Hereafter. Will ye not understand? |

আর যারা কাফের এবং আমার আয়াতসমূহ ও পরকালের সাক্ষাতকারকে মিথ্যা বলছে, তাদেরকেই আযাবের মধ্যে উপস্থিত করা হবে।
And those who have rejected Faith and falsely denied our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter,- such shall be brought forth to Punishment. |

ফেরাউন গোত্রের এক মুমিন ব্যক্তি, যে তার ঈমান গোপন রাখত, সে বলল, তোমরা কি একজনকে এজন্যে হত্যা করবে যে, সে বলে, আমার পালনকর্তা আল্লাহ, অথচ সে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার নিকট থেকে স্পষ্ট প্রমাণসহ তোমাদের নিকট আগমন করেছে? যদি সে মিথ্যাবাদী হয়, তবে তার মিথ্যাবাদিতা তার উপরই চাপবে, আর যদি সে সত্যবাদী হয়, তবে সে যে শাস্তির কথা বলছে, তার কিছু না কিছু তোমাদের উপর পড়বেই। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ সীমালংঘনকারী, মিথ্যাবাদীকে পথ প্রদর্শন করেন না।
A believer, a man from among the people of Pharaoh, who had concealed his faith, said: "Will ye slay a man because he says, 'My Lord is Allah'?- when he has indeed come to you with Clear (Signs) from your Lord? and if he be a liar, on him is (the sin of) his lie: but, if he is telling the Truth, then will fall on you something of the (calamity) of which he warns you: Truly Allah guides not one who transgresses and lies! |
