তিনি বললেন, হে আদম, ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলে দাও এসবের নাম। তারপর যখন তিনি বলে দিলেন সে সবের নাম, তখন তিনি বললেন, আমি কি তোমাদেরকে বলিনি যে, আমি আসমান ও যমীনের যাবতীয় গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কে খুব ভাল করেই অবগত রয়েছি? এবং সেসব বিষয়ও জানি যা তোমরা প্রকাশ কর, আর যা তোমরা গোপন কর!
He said: "O Adam! Tell them their names." When he had told them, Allah said: "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of heaven and earth, and I know what ye reveal and what ye conceal?" |

আমি যদি তাদের কাছে ফেরেশতাদেরকে অবতারণ করতাম এবং তাদের সাথে মৃতরা কথাবার্তা বলত এবং আমি সব বস্তুকে তাদের সামনে জীবিত করে দিতাম, তথাপি তারা কখনও বিশ্বাস স্থাপনকারী নয়; কিন্তু যদি আল্লাহ চান। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই মুর্খ।
Even if We did send unto them angels, and the dead did speak unto them, and We gathered together all things before their very eyes, they are not the ones to believe, unless it is in Allah's plan. But most of them ignore (the truth). |

আর আমি তোমাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছি, এরপর আকার-অবয়ব, তৈরী করেছি। অতঃপর আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলছি-আদমকে সেজদা কর তখন সবাই সেজদা করেছে, কিন্তু ইবলীস সে সেজদাকারীদের অন্তর্ভূক্ত ছিল না।
It is We Who created you and gave you shape; then We bade the angels prostrate to Adam, and they prostrate; not so Iblis; He refused to be of those who prostrate. |

যদি আপনি সত্যবাদী হন, তবে আমাদের কাছে ফেরেশতাদেরকে আনেন না কেন?
"Why bringest thou not angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?" |
(হিজর:
আয়াতঃ ৭) |
| 5 |
আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে একমাত্র ফায়সালার জন্যেই নাযিল করি। তখন তাদেরকে অবকাশ দেয়া হবে না।
We send not the angels down except for just cause: if they came (to the ungodly), behold! no respite would they have! |

আর আপনার পালনকর্তা যখন ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললেনঃ আমি পচা কর্দম থেকে তৈরী বিশুষ্ক ঠনঠনে মাটি দ্বারা সৃষ্ট একটি মানব জাতির পত্তন করব।
Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape; |

তিনি স্বীয় নির্দেশে বান্দাদের মধ্যে যার কাছে ইচ্ছা, নির্দেশসহ ফেরেশতাদেরকে এই মর্মে নাযিল করেন যে, হুশিয়ার করে দাও, আমি ছাড়া কোন উপাস্য নেই। অতএব আমাকে ভয় কর।
He doth send down His angels with inspiration of His Command, to such of His servants as He pleaseth, (saying): "Warn (Man) that there is no god but I: so do your duty unto Me." |

তোমাদের পালনকর্তা কি তোমাদের জন্যে পুত্র সন্তান নির্ধারিত করেছেন এবং নিজের জন্যে ফেরেশতাদেরকে কন্যারূপে গ্রহণ করেছেন? নিশ্চয় তোমরা গুরুতর গর্হিত কথাবার্তা বলছ।
Has then your Lord (O Pagans!) preferred for you sons, and taken for Himself daughters among the angels? Truly ye utter a most dreadful saying! |

স্মরণ কর, যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সেজদায় পড়ে গেল। কিন্তু সে বললঃ আমি কি এমন ব্যক্তিকে সেজদা করব, যাকে আপনি মাটির দ্বারা সৃষ্টি করেছেন?
Behold! We said to the angels: "Bow down unto Adam": They bowed down except Iblis: He said, "Shall I bow down to one whom Thou didst create from clay?" |

অথবা আপনি যেমন বলে থাকেন, তেমনিভাবে আমাদের উপর আসমানকে খন্ড-বিখন্ড করে ফেলে দেবেন অথবা আল্লাহ ও ফেরেশতাদেরকে আমাদের সামনে নিয়ে আসবেন।
"Or thou cause the sky to fall in pieces, as thou sayest (will happen), against us; or thou bring Allah and the angels before (us) face to face: |

যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন সবাই সেজদা করল ইবলীস ব্যতীত। সে ছিল জিনদের একজন। সে তার পালনকর্তার আদেশ অমান্য করল। অতএব তোমরা কি আমার পরিবর্তে তাকে এবং তার বংশধরকে বন্ধুরূপে গ্রহণ করছ? অথচ তারা তোমাদের শত্রু। এটা জালেমদের জন্যে খুবই নিকৃষ্ট বদল।
Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers! |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৫০) |

যখন আমি ফেরেশতাদেরকে বললামঃ তোমরা আদমকে সেজদা কর, তখন ইবলীস ব্যতীত সবাই সেজদা করল। সে অমান্য করল।
When We said to the angels, "Prostrate yourselves to Adam", they prostrated themselves, but not Iblis: he refused. |
(ত্বোয়া-হা:
আয়াতঃ ১১৬) |
| 13 |
যেদিন তারা ফেরেশতাদেরকে দেখবে, সেদিন অপরাধীদের জন্যে কোন সুসংবাদ থাকবে না এবং তারা বলবে, কোন বাধা যদি তা আটকে রাখত।
The Day they see the angels,- no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: The (angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!" |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |

যেদিন তিনি তাদের সবাইকে একত্রিত করবেন এবং ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলবেন, এরা কি তোমাদেরই পূজা করত?
One Day He will gather them all together, and say to the angels, "Was it you that these men used to worship?" |

ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলা হবেঃ ধর একে গলায় বেড়ি পড়িয়ে দাও,
(The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him, |
