তারা তাদের মুখের ফুৎকারে আল্লাহর নূরকে নির্বাপিত করতে চায়। কিন্তু আল্লাহ অবশ্যই তাঁর নূরের পূর্ণতা বিধান করবেন, যদিও কাফেররা তা অপ্রীতিকর মনে করে।
Fain would they extinguish Allah's light with their mouths, but Allah will not allow but that His light should be perfected, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it). |

তিনিই প্রেরণ করেছেন আপন রসূলকে হেদায়েত ও সত্য দ্বীন সহকারে, যেন এ দ্বীনকে অপরাপর দ্বীনের উপর জয়যুক্ত করেন, যদিও মুশরিকরা তা অপ্রীতিকর মনে করে।
It is He Who hath sent His Messenger with guidance and the Religion of Truth, to proclaim it over all religion, even though the Pagans may detest (it). |

পদচারণায় মধ্যবর্তিতা অবলম্বন কর এবং কন্ঠস্বর নীচু কর। নিঃসন্দেহে গাধার স্বরই সর্বাপেক্ষা অপ্রীতিকর।
"And be moderate in thy pace, and lower thy voice; for the harshest of sounds without doubt is the braying of the ass." |

কেউ জানে না তার জন্যে কৃতকর্মের কি কি নয়ন-প্রীতিকর প্রতিদান লুক্কায়িত আছে।
Now no person knows what delights of the eye are kept hidden (in reserve) for them - as a reward for their (good) deeds. |

আপনি যখন তাদেরকে দেখেন, তখন তাদের দেহাবয়ব আপনার কাছে প্রীতিকর মনে হয়। আর যদি তারা কথা বলে, তবে আপনি তাদের কথা শুনেন। তারা প্রাচীরে ঠেকানো কাঠসদৃশ্য। প্রত্যেক শোরগোলকে তারা নিজেদের বিরুদ্ধে মনে করে। তারাই শত্রু, অতএব তাদের সম্পর্কে সতর্ক হোন। ধ্বংস করুন আল্লাহ তাদেরকে। তারা কোথায় বিভ্রান্ত হচ্ছে ?
When thou lookest at them, their exteriors please thee; and when they speak, thou listenest to their words. They are as (worthless as hollow) pieces of timber propped up, (unable to stand on their own). They think that every cry is against them. They are the enemies; so beware of them. The curse of Allah be on them! How are they deluded (away from the Truth)! |
