তোমরা আল্লাহর অনুগত হও, রসূলের অনুগত হও এবং আত্মরক্ষা কর। কিন্তু যদি তোমরা বিমুখ হও, তবে জেনে রাখ, আমার রসূলের দায়িত্ব প্রকাশ্য প্রচার বৈধ নয়।
Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and beware (of evil): if ye do turn back, know ye that it is Our Messenger's duty to proclaim (the message) in the clearest manner. |

এবং মানুষের মধ্যে হজ্বের জন্যে ঘোষণা প্রচার কর। তারা তোমার কাছে আসবে পায়ে হেঁটে এবং সর্বপ্রকার কৃশকায় উটের পিঠে সওয়ার হয়ে দূর-দূরান্ত থেকে।
"And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways; |

সেই নবীগণ আল্লাহর পয়গাম প্রচার করতেন ও তাঁকে ভয় করতেন। তারা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যকাউকে ভয় করতেন না। হিসাব গ্রহণের জন্যে আল্লাহ যথেষ্ঠ।
(It is the practice of those) who preach the Messages of Allah, and fear Him, and fear none but Allah. And enough is Allah to call (men) to account. |

যদি তারা মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, তবে আপনাকে আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি তাদের রক্ষক করে পাঠাইনি। আপনার কর্তব্য কেবল প্রচার করা। আমি যখন মানুষকে আমার রহমত আস্বাদন করাই, তখন সে উল্লসিত, আর যখন তাদের কৃতকর্মের কারণে তাদের কোন অনিষ্ট ঘটে, তখন মানুষ খুব অকৃতজ্ঞ হয়ে যায়।
If then they run away, We have not sent thee as a guard over them. Thy duty is but to convey (the Message). And truly, when We give man a taste of a Mercy from Ourselves, he doth exult thereat, but when some ill happens to him, on account of the deeds which his hands have sent forth, truly then is man ungrateful! |

অতঃপর আমি ঘোষণা সহকারে প্রচার করেছি এবং গোপনে চুপিসারে বলেছি।
"Further I have spoken to them in public and secretly in private, |

কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা’আলার বাণী পৌছানো ও তাঁর পয়গাম প্রচার করাই আমার কাজ। যে আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলকে অমান্য করে, তার জন্যে রয়েছে জাহান্নামের অগ্নি। তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।
"Unless I proclaim what I receive from Allah and His Messages: for any that disobey Allah and His Messenger,- for them is Hell: they shall dwell therein for ever." |
