তারা উভয়ে ছুটে দরজার দিকে গেল এবং মহিলা ইউসুফের জামা পিছন দিক থেকে ছিঁড়ে ফেলল। উভয়ে মহিলার স্বামীকে দরজার কাছে পেল। মহিলা বললঃ যে ব্যক্তি তোমার পরিজনের সাথে কুকর্মের ইচ্ছা করে, তাকে কারাগারে পাঠানো অথবা অন্য কোন যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি দেয়া ছাড়া তার আর কি শাস্তি হতে পারে?
So they both raced each other to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back: they both found her lord near the door. She said: "What is the (fitting) punishment for one who formed an evil design against thy wife, but prison or a grievous chastisement?" |

সে ফল পেল। অতঃপর কথা প্রসঙ্গে সঙ্গীকে বললঃ আমার ধন-সম্পদ তোমার চাইতে বেশী এবং জনবলে আমি অধিক শক্তিশালী।
(Abundant) was the produce this man had: he said to his companion, in the course of a mutual argument: "more wealth have I than you, and more honour and power in (my following of) men." |

অতঃপর মূসা (আঃ) যখন সেই মেয়াদ পূর্ণ করল এবং সপরিবারে যাত্রা করল, তখন সে তুর পর্বতের দিক থেকে আগুন দেখতে পেল। সে তার পরিবারবর্গকে বলল, তোমরা অপেক্ষা কর, আমি আগুন দেখেছি। সম্ভবতঃ আমি সেখান থেকে তোমাদের কাছে কোন খবর নিয়ে আসতে পারি অথবা কোন জ্বলন্ত কাষ্ঠখন্ড আনতে পারি, যাতে তোমরা আগুন পোহাতে পার।
Now when Moses had fulfilled the term, and was travelling with his family, he perceived a fire in the direction of Mount Tur. He said to his family: "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; I hope to bring you from there some information, or a burning firebrand, that ye may warm yourselves." |

যখন মুমিনরা শক্রবাহিনীকে দেখল, তখন বলল, আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল এরই ওয়াদা আমাদেরকে দিয়েছিলেন এবং আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূল সত্য বলেছেন। এতে তাদের ঈমান ও আত্নসমর্পণই বৃদ্ধি পেল।
When the Believers saw the Confederate forces, they said: "This is what Allah and his Messenger had promised us, and Allah and His Messenger told us what was true." And it only added to their faith and their zeal in obedience. |
