কাজেই আল্লাহর কাছে যারা পার্থিব জীবনকে আখেরাতের পরিবর্তে বিক্রি করে দেয় তাদের জেহাদ করাই কর্তব্য। বস্তুতঃ যারা আল্লাহর রাহে লড়াই করে এবং অতঃপর মৃত্যুবরণ করে কিংবা বিজয় অর্জন করে, আমি তাদেরকে মহাপুণ্য দান করব।
Let those fight in the cause of Allah Who sell the life of this world for the hereafter. To him who fighteth in the cause of Allah,- whether he is slain or gets victory - Soon shall We give him a reward of great (value). |

কিন্তু যারা তাদের মধ্যে জ্ঞানপক্ক ও ঈমানদার, তারা তাও মান্য করে যা আপনার উপর অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে এবং যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে আপনার পূর্বে। আর যারা নামাযে অনুবর্তিতা পালনকারী, যারা যাকাত দানকারী এবং যারা আল্লাহ ও কেয়ামতে আস্থাশীল। বস্তুতঃ এমন লোকদেরকে আমি দান করবো মহাপুণ্য।
But those among them who are well-grounded in knowledge, and the believers, believe in what hath been revealed to thee and what was revealed before thee: And (especially) those who establish regular prayer and practise regular charity and believe in Allah and in the Last Day: To them shall We soon give a great reward. |

আর ও যাকারিয়া, ইয়াহিয়া, ঈসা এবং ইলিয়াসকে। তারা সবাই পুণ্যবানদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল।
And Zakariya and John, and Jesus and Elias: all in the ranks of the righteous: |

বলুন, হে আমার বিশ্বাসী বান্দাগণ! তোমরা তোমাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় কর। যারা এ দুনিয়াতে সৎকাজ করে, তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে পুণ্য। আল্লাহর পৃথিবী প্রশস্ত। যারা সবরকারী, তারাই তাদের পুরস্কার পায় অগণিত।
Say: "O ye my servants who believe! Fear your Lord, good is (the reward) for those who do good in this world. Spacious is Allah's earth! those who patiently persevere will truly receive a reward without measure!" |

এরই সুসংবাদ দেন আল্লাহ তার সেসব বান্দাকে, যারা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম করে। বলুন, আমি আমার দাওয়াতের জন্যে তোমাদের কাছে কেবল আত্নীয়তাজনিত সৌহার্দ চাই। যে কেউ উত্তম কাজ করে, আমি তার জন্যে তাতে পুণ্য বাড়িয়ে দেই। নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ ক্ষমাকারী, গুণগ্রাহী।
That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this except the love of those near of kin." And if any one earns any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service). |
