হে রসূল, তাদের জন্যে দুঃখ করবেন না, যারা দৌড়ে গিয়ে কুফরে পতিত হয়; যারা মুখে বলেঃ আমরা মুসলমান, অথচ তাদের অন্তর মুসলমান নয় এবং যারা ইহুদী; মিথ্যাবলার জন্যে তারা গুপ্তচর বৃত্তি করে। তারা অন্যদলের গুপ্তচর, যারা আপনার কাছে আসেনি। তারা বাক্যকে স্বস্থান থেকে পরিবর্তন করে। তারা বলেঃ যদি তোমরা এ নির্দেশ পাও, তবে কবুল করে নিও এবং যদি এ নির্দেশ না পাও, তবে বিরত থেকো। আল্লাহ যাকে পথভ্রষ্ট করতে চান, তার জন্যে আল্লাহর কাছে আপনি কিছু করতে পারবেন না। এরা এমনিই যে, আল্লাহ এদের অন্তরকে পবিত্র করতে চান না। তাদের জন্যে রয়েছে দুনিয়াতে লাঞ্ছনা এবং পরকালে বিরাট শাস্তি।
O Messenger! let not those grieve thee, who race each other into unbelief: (whether it be) among those who say "We believe" with their lips but whose hearts have no faith; or it be among the Jews,- men who will listen to any lie,- will listen even to others who have never so much as come to thee. They change the words from their (right) times and places: they say, "If ye are given this, take it, but if not, beware!" If any one's trial is intended by Allah, thou hast no authority in the least for him against Allah. For such - it is not Allah's will to purify their hearts. For them there is disgrace in this world, and in the Hereafter a heavy punishment. |

তিনি বললেনঃ আপনি আমার সাথে কিছুতেই ধৈর্য্যধারণ করে থাকতে পারবেন না।
(The other) said: "Verily thou wilt not be able to have patience with me!" |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৬৭) |

তিনি বললেনঃ আমি কি বলিনি যে, আপনি আমার সাথে কিছুতেই ধৈর্য্য ধরতে পারবেন না ?
He answered: "Did I not tell thee that thou canst have no patience with me?" |
(কাহফ:

তিনি বললেনঃ আমি কি বলিনি যে, আপনি আমার সাথে ধৈর্য্য ধরে থাকতে পারবেন না।

(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৫) |

আপনি আহবান শোনাতে পারবেন না মৃতদেরকে এবং বধিরকেও নয়, যখন তারা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে চলে যায়।
Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. |

আপনি অন্ধদেরকে তাদের পথভ্রষ্টতা থেকে ফিরিয়ে সৎপথে আনতে পারবেন না। আপনি কেবল তাদেরকে শোনাতে পারবেন, যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস করে। অতএব, তারাই আজ্ঞাবহ।
Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. |

আপনি যাকে পছন্দ করেন, তাকে সৎপথে আনতে পারবেন না, তবে আল্লাহ তা’আলাই যাকে ইচ্ছা সৎপথে আনয়ন করেন। কে সৎপথে আসবে, সে সম্পর্কে তিনিই ভাল জানেন।
It is true thou wilt not be able to guide every one, whom thou lovest; but Allah guides those whom He will and He knows best those who receive guidance. |
(আল কাসাস:
আয়াতঃ ৫৬) |

অতএব, আপনি মৃতদেরকে শোনাতে পারবেন না এবং বধিরকেও আহবান শোনাতে পারবেন না, যখন তারা পৃষ্ঠ প্রদর্শন করে।
So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear, nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call, when they show their backs and turn away. |

আপনি অন্ধদেরও তাদের পথভ্রষ্টতা থেকে পথ দেখাতে পারবেন না। আপনি কেবল তাদেরই শোনাতে পারবেন, যারা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস করে। কারন তারা মুসলমান।
Nor canst thou lead back the blind from their straying: only those wilt thou make to hear, who believe in Our signs and submit (their wills in Islam). |

যার জন্যে শাস্তির হুকুম অবধারিত হয়ে গেছে আপনি কি সে জাহান্নামীকে মুক্ত করতে পারবেন?
Is, then, one against whom the decree of Punishment is justly due (equal to one who eschews Evil)? Wouldst thou, then, deliver one (who is) in the Fire? |

আপনি কি বধিরকে শোনাতে পারবেন? অথবা যে অন্ধ ও যে স্পষ্ট পথ ভ্রষ্টতায় লিপ্ত, তাকে পথ প্রদর্শণ করতে পারবেন?
Canst thou then make the deaf to hear, or give direction to the blind or to such as (wander) in manifest error? |
(যুখরুফ:
আয়াতঃ ৪০) |
| 12 |
আমি ইচ্ছা করলে আপনাকে তাদের সাথে পরিচিত করে দিতাম। তখন আপনি তাদের চেহারা দেখে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারতেন এবং আপনি অবশ্যই কথার ভঙ্গিতে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারবেন। আল্লাহ তোমাদের কর্মসমূহের খবর রাখেন।
Had We so wiled, We could have shown them up to thee, and thou shouldst have known them by their marks: but surely thou wilt know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all that ye do. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ৩০) |
| 13 |
আল্লাহর কবল থেকে তাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি তাদেরকে মোটেই বাঁচাতে পারবেনা। তারাই জাহান্নামের অধিবাসী তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে।
Of no profit whatever to them, against Allah, will be their riches nor their sons: they will be Companions of the Fire, to dwell therein (for aye)! |
