দুনিয়া ও আখেরাতের বিষয়ে। আর তোমার কাছে জিজ্ঞেস করে, এতীম সংক্রান্ত হুকুম। বলে দাও, তাদের কাজ-কর্ম সঠিকভাবে গুছিয়ে দেয়া উত্তম আর যদি তাদের ব্যয়ভার নিজের সাথে মিশিয়ে নাও, তাহলে মনে করবে তারা তোমাদের ভাই । বস্তুতঃ অমঙ্গলকামী ও মঙ্গলকামীদেরকে আল্লাহ জানেন। আল্লাহ যদি ইচ্ছা করতেন, তাহলে তোমাদের উপর জটিলতা আরোপ করতে পারতেন। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, মহাপ্রজ্ঞ।
(Their bearings) on this life and the Hereafter. They ask thee concerning orphans. Say: "The best thing to do is what is for their good; if ye mix their affairs with yours, they are your brethren; but Allah knows the man who means mischief from the man who means good. And if Allah had wished, He could have put you into difficulties: He is indeed Exalted in Power, Wise." |

আর যদি তাদের বিমুখতা আপনার পক্ষে কষ্টকর হয়, তবে আপনি যদি ভূতলে কোন সুড়ঙ্গ অথবা আকাশে কোন সিড়ি অনুসন্ধান করতে সমর্থ হন, অতঃপর তাদের কাছে কোন একটি মোজেযা আনতে পারেন, তবে নিয়ে আসুন। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে সবাইকে সরল পথে সমবেত করতে পারতেন। অতএব, আপনি নির্বোধদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত হবেন না।
If their spurning is hard on thy mind, yet if thou wert able to seek a tunnel in the ground or a ladder to the skies and bring them a sign,- (what good?). If it were Allah's will, He could gather them together unto true guidance: so be not thou amongst those who are swayed by ignorance (and impatience)! |

আর যখন তোমরা ছিলে সমরাঙ্গনের এ প্রান্তে আর তারা ছিল সে প্রান্তে অথচ কাফেলা তোমাদের থেকে নীচে নেমে গিয়েছিল। এমতাবস্থায় যদি তোমরা পারস্পরিক অঙ্গীকারাবদ্ধ হতে, তবে তোমরা এক সঙ্গে সে ওয়াদা পালন করতে পারতে না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তা’আলা এমন এক কাজ করতে চেয়েছিলেন, যা নির্ধারিত হয়ে গিয়েছিল যাতে সে সব লোক নিহত হওয়ার ছিল, প্রমাণ প্রতিষ্ঠার পর এবং যাদের বাঁচার ছিল, তারা বেঁচে থাকে প্রমাণ প্রতিষ্ঠার পর। আর নিশ্চিতই আল্লাহ শ্রবণকারী, বিজ্ঞ।
Remember ye were on the hither side of the valley, and they on the farther side, and the caravan on lower ground than ye. Even if ye had made a mutual appointment to meet, ye would certainly have failed in the appointment: But (thus ye met), that Allah might accomplish a matter already enacted; that those who died might die after a clear Sign (had been given), and those who lived might live after a Clear Sign (had been given). And verily Allah is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things). |

আর প্রীতি সঞ্চার করেছেন তাদের অন্তরে। যদি তুমি সেসব কিছু ব্যয় করে ফেলতে, যা কিছু যমীনের বুকে রয়েছে, তাদের মনে প্রীতি সঞ্চার করতে পারতে না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ তাদের মনে প্রীতি সঞ্চার করেছেন। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনি পরাক্রমশালী, সুকৌশলী।
And (moreover) He hath put affection between their hearts: not if thou hadst spent all that is in the earth, couldst thou have produced that affection, but Allah hath done it: for He is Exalted in might, Wise. |
(আল-আনফাল:

আর তোমার পালনকর্তা যদি ইচ্ছা করতেন, তবে অবশ্যই সব মানুষকে একই জাতিসত্তায় পরিনত করতে পারতেন আর তারা বিভিন্ন ভাগে বিভক্ত হতো না।
If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute. |
(হুদ:

এরা তোমাদের বোঝা এমন শহর পর্যন্ত বহন করে নিয়ে যায়, যেখানে তোমরা প্রাণান্তকর পরিশ্রۦ#2478; ব্যতীত পৌছাতে পারতে না। নিশ্চয় তোমাদের প্রভু অত্যন্ত দয়াদ্র, পরম দয়ালু।
And they carry your heavy loads to lands that ye could not (otherwise) reach except with souls distressed: for your Lord is indeed Most Kind, Most Merciful, |

সরল পথ আল্লাহ পর্যন্ত পৌছে এবং পথগুলোর মধ্যে কিছু বক্র পথও রয়েছে। তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সবাইকে সৎপথে পরিচালিত করতে পারতেন।
And unto Allah leads straight the Way, but there are ways that turn aside: if Allah had willed, He could have guided all of you. |

আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের সবাইকে এক জাতি করে দিতে পারতেন, কিন্তু তিনি যাকে ইচ্ছা বিপথগামী করেন এবং যাকে ইচ্ছা পথ প্রদর্শন করেন। তোমরা যা কর সে বিষয়ে অবশ্যই জিজ্ঞাসিত হবে।
If Allah so willed, He could make you all one people: But He leaves straying whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases: but ye shall certainly be called to account for all your actions. |
(নাহল:
আয়াতঃ ৯৩) |

অতঃপর তারা চলতে লাগল, অবশেষে যখন একটি জনপদের অধিবাসীদের কাছে পৌছে তাদের কাছে খাবার চাইল, তখন তারা তাদের অতিথেয়তা করতে অস্বীকার করল। অতঃপর তারা সেখানে একটি পতনোম্মুখ প্রাচীর দেখতে পেলেন, সেটি তিনি সোজা করে দাঁড় করিয়ে দিলেন। মূসা বললেনঃ আপনি ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের কাছ থেকে এর পারিশ্রমিক আদায় করতে পারতেন।
Then they proceeded: until, when they came to the inhabitants of a town, they asked them for food, but they refused them hospitality. They found there a wall on the point of falling down, but he set it up straight. (Moses) said: "If thou hadst wished, surely thou couldst have exacted some recompense for it!" |
(কাহফ:
আয়াতঃ ৭৭) |

হে ঈমানদারগণ, তোমরা শয়তানের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করো না। যে কেউ শয়তানের পদাঙ্ক অনুসরণ করবে, তখন তো শয়তান নির্লজ্জতা ও মন্দ কাজেরই আদেশ করবে। যদি আল্লাহর অনুগ্রহ ও দয়া তোমাদের প্রতি না থাকত, তবে তোমাদের কেউ কখনও পবিত্র হতে পারতে না। কিন্তু আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পবিত্র করেন। আল্লাহ সবকিছু শোনেন, জানেন।
O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things). |

তুমি কি তোমার পালনকর্তাকে দেখ না, তিনি কিভাবে ছায়াকে বিলম্বিত করেন? তিনি ইচ্ছা করলে একে স্থির রাখতে পারতেন। এরপর আমি সূর্যকে করেছি এর নির্দেশক।
Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; |
(আল-ফুরকান:
আয়াতঃ ৪৫) |

সেখানে তারা আর্ত চিৎকার করে বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, বের করুন আমাদেরকে, আমরা সৎকাজ করব, পূর্বে যা করতাম, তা করব না। (আল্লাহ বলবেন) আমি কি তোমাদেরকে এতটা বয়স দেইনি, যাতে যা চিন্তা করার বিষয় চিন্তা করতে পারতে? উপরন্তু তোমাদের কাছে সতর্ককারীও আগমন করেছিল। অতএব আস্বাদন কর। জালেমদের জন্যে কোন সাহায্যকারী নেই।
Therein will they cry aloud (for assistance): "Our Lord! Bring us out: we shall work righteousness, not the (deeds) we used to do!" - "Did We not give you long enough life so that he that would should receive admonition? and (moreover) the warner came to you. So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds): for the wrong-doers there is no helper." |
(ফাতির:
আয়াতঃ ৩৭) |

যখন তাদেরকে বলা হয়, আল্লাহ তোমাদেরকে যা দিয়েছেন, তা থেকে ব্যয় কর। তখন কাফেররা মুমিনগণকে বলে, ইচ্ছা করলেই আল্লাহ যাকে খাওয়াতে পারতেন, আমরা তাকে কেন খাওয়াব? তোমরা তো স্পষ্ট বিভ্রান্তিতে পতিত রয়েছ।
And when they are told, "Spend ye of (the bounties) with which Allah has provided you," the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Shall we then feed those whom, if Allah had so willed, He would have fed, (Himself)?- Ye are in nothing but manifest error." |
(ইয়াসীন:
আয়াতঃ ৪৭) |
| 14 |
অতঃপর যখন তোমরা কাফেরদের সাথে যুদ্ধে অবতীর্ণ হও, তখন তাদের গর্দার মার, অবশেষে যখন তাদেরকে পূর্ণরূপে পরাভূত কর তখন তাদেরকে শক্ত করে বেধে ফেল। অতঃপর হয় তাদের প্রতি অনুগ্রহ কর, না হয় তাদের নিকট হতে মুক্তিপণ লও। তোমরা যুদ্ধ চালিয়ে যাবে যে পর্যন্ত না শত্রুপক্ষ অস্ত্র সমর্পণ করবে! একথা শুনলে। আল্লাহ ইচ্ছা করলে তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিতে পারতেন। কিন্তু তিনি তোমাদের কতককে কতকের দ্বারা পরীক্ষা করতে চান। যারা আল্লাহর পথে শহীদ হয়, আল্লাহ কখনই তাদের কর্ম বিনষ্ট করবেন না।
Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah's Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ৪) |
| 15 |
আমি ইচ্ছা করলে আপনাকে তাদের সাথে পরিচিত করে দিতাম। তখন আপনি তাদের চেহারা দেখে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারতেন এবং আপনি অবশ্যই কথার ভঙ্গিতে তাদেরকে চিনতে পারবেন। আল্লাহ তোমাদের কর্মসমূহের খবর রাখেন।
Had We so wiled, We could have shown them up to thee, and thou shouldst have known them by their marks: but surely thou wilt know them by the tone of their speech! And Allah knows all that ye do. |
(মুহাম্মদ:
আয়াতঃ ৩০) |
| 16 |
তোমাদের কেউ তাকে রক্ষা করতে পারতে না।
Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). |
