বাদশাহ বললঃ আমি স্বপ্নে দেখলাম, সাতটি মোটাতাজা গাভী-এদেরকে সাতটি শীর্ণ গাভী খেয়ে যাচ্ছে এবং সাতটি সবুজ শীষ ও অন্যগুলো শুষ্ক। হে পরিষদবর্গ! তোমরা আমাকে আমার স্বপ্নের ব্যাখ্যা বল, যদি তোমরা স্বপ্নের ব্যাখ্যায় পারদর্শী হয়ে থাক।
The king (of Egypt) said: "I do see (in a vision) seven fat kine, whom seven lean ones devour, and seven green ears of corn, and seven (others) withered. O ye chiefs! Expound to me my vision if it be that ye can interpret visions." |

ফেরাউন তার পরিষদবর্গকে বলল, তোমরা কি শুনছ না?
(Pharaoh) said to those around: "Did ye not listen (to what he says)?" |

ফেরাউন তার পরিষদবর্গকে বলল, নিশ্চয় এ একজন সুদক্ষ জাদুকর।
(Pharaoh) said to the Chiefs around him: "This is indeed a sorcerer well-versed: |

বিলকীস বলল, হে পরিষদবর্গ, আমাকে একটি সম্মানিত পত্র দেয়া হয়েছে।
(The queen) said: "Ye chiefs! here is delivered to me - a letter worthy of respect. |
(নমল:
আয়াতঃ ২৯) |

বিলকীস বলল, হে পরিষদবর্গ, আমাকে আমার কাজে পরামর্শ দাও। তোমাদের উপস্থিতি ব্যতিরেকে আমি কোন কাজে সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করি না।
She said: "Ye chiefs! advise me in (this) my affair: no affair have I decided except in your presence." |

সুলায়মান বললেন, হে পরিষদবর্গ, তারা আত্নসমর্পণ করে আমার কাছে আসার পূর্বে কে বিলকীসের সিংহাসন আমাকে এনে দেবে?
He said (to his own men): "Ye chiefs! which of you can bring me her throne before they come to me in submission?" |

এসময় শহরের প্রান্ত থেকে একব্যক্তি ছুটে আসল এবং বলল, হে মূসা, রাজ্যের পরিষদবর্গ তোমাকে হত্যা করার পরমর্শ করছে। অতএব, তুমি বের হয়ে যাও। আমি তোমার হিতাকাঙ্ক্ষী।
And there came a man, running, from the furthest end of the City. He said: "O Moses! the Chiefs are taking counsel together about thee, to slay thee: so get thee away, for I do give thee sincere advice." |

তোমার হাত বগলে রাখ। তা বের হয়ে আসবে নিরাময় উজ্জ্বল হয়ে এবং ভয় হেতু তোমার হাত তোমার উপর চেপে ধর। এই দু’টি ফেরাউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের প্রতি তোমার পালনকর্তার তরফ থেকে প্রমাণ। নিশ্চয় তারা পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়।
"Move thy hand into thy bosom, and it will come forth white without stain (or harm), and draw thy hand close to thy side (to guard) against fear. Those are the two credentials from thy Lord to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: for truly they are a people rebellious and wicked." |

ফেরাউন বলল, হে পরিষদবর্গ, আমি জানি না যে, আমি ব্যতীত তোমাদের কোন উপাস্য আছে। হে হামান, তুমি ইট পোড়াও, অতঃপর আমার জন্যে একটি প্রাসাদ নির্মাণ কর, যাতে আমি মূসার উপাস্যকে উকি মেরে দেখতে পারি। আমার তো ধারণা এই যে, সে একজন মিথ্যাবাদী।
Pharaoh said: "O Chiefs! no god do I know for you but myself: therefore, O Haman! light me a (kiln to bake bricks) out of clay, and build me a lofty palace, that I may mount up to the god of Moses: but as far as I am concerned, I think (Moses) is a liar!" |

আমি মূসাকে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়ে ফেরাউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের কাছে প্রেরণ করেছিলাম, অতঃপর সে বলেছিল, আমি বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার রসূল।
We did send Moses aforetime, with Our Signs, to Pharaoh and his Chiefs: He said, "I am a messenger of the Lord of the Worlds." |
