যখন তারা তোমাদের কাছে আসে তখন বলে দাওঃ আমরা বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছি। অথচ তারা কুফর নিয়ে এসেছিল এবং কুফর নিয়েই প্রস্থান করেছে। তারা যা গোপন করত, আল্লাহ তা খুব জানেন।
When they come to thee, they say: "We believe": but in fact they enter with a mind against Faith, and they go out with the same but Allah knoweth fully all that they hide. |

অবশ্যই যেসব লোক আমার সাক্ষাৎ লাভের আশা রাখে না এবং পার্থিব জীবন নিয়েই উৎফুল্ল রয়েছে, তাতেই প্রশান্তি অনুভব করেছে এবং যারা আমার নির্দশনসমূহ সম্পর্কে বেখবর।
Those who rest not their hope on their meeting with Us, but are pleased and satisfied with the life of the present, and those who heed not Our Signs,- |

তিনি বললেনঃ কিছুই না, তোমরা মনগড়া একটি কথা নিয়েই এসেছ। এখন ধৈর্য্যধারণই উত্তম। সম্ভবতঃ আল্লাহ তাদের সবাইকে একসঙ্গে আমার কাছে নিয়ে আসবেন তিনি সুবিজ্ঞ, প্রজ্ঞাময়।
Jacob said: "Nay, but ye have yourselves contrived a story (good enough) for you. So patience is most fitting (for me). Maybe Allah will bring them (back) all to me (in the end). For He is indeed full of knowledge and wisdom." |
