আর যখন মূসা তার সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, তোমরা তোমাদেরই ক্ষতিসাধন করেছ এই গোবৎস নির্মাণ করে। কাজেই এখন তওবা কর স্বীয় স্রষ্টার প্রতি এবং নিজ নিজ প্রাণ বিসর্জন দাও। এটাই তোমাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর তোমাদের স্রষ্টার নিকট। তারপর তোমাদের প্রতি লক্ষ্য করা হল। নিঃসন্দেহে তিনিই ক্ষমাকারী, অত্যন্ত মেহেরবান।
And remember Moses said to his people: "O my people! Ye have indeed wronged yourselves by your worship of the calf: So turn (in repentance) to your Maker, and slay yourselves (the wrong-doers); that will be better for you in the sight of your Maker." Then He turned towards you (in forgiveness): For He is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. |

আর আহলে কিতাবদের মধ্যে কেউ কেউ এমনও রয়েছে, যারা আল্লাহর উপর ঈমান আনে এবং যা কিছু তোমার উপর অবতীর্ণ হয় আর যা কিছু তাদের উপর অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে সেগুলোর উপর, আল্লাহর সামনে বিনয়াবনত থাকে এবং আল্লার আয়াতসমুহকে স্বল্পমুল্যের বিনিময়ে সওদা করে না, তারাই হলো সে লোক যাদের জন্য পারিশ্রমিক রয়েছে তাদের পালনকর্তার নিকট। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ যথাশীঘ্র হিসাব চুকিয়ে দেন।
And there are, certainly, among the People of the Book, those who believe in Allah, in the revelation to you, and in the revelation to them, bowing in humility to Allah: They will not sell the Signs of Allah for a miserable gain! For them is a reward with their Lord, and Allah is swift in account. |

অতঃপর আমি তাদের পরে মূসাকে পাঠিয়েছি নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়ে ফেরাউন ও তার সভাসদদের নিকট। বস্তুতঃ ওরা তাঁর মোকাবেলায় কুফরী করেছে। সুতরাং চেয়ে দেখ, কি পরিণতি হয়েছে অনাচারীদের।
Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wrongfully rejected them: So see what was the end of those who made mischief. |

মুশরিকদের চুক্তি আল্লাহর নিকট ও তাঁর রসূলের নিকট কিরূপে বলবৎ থাকবে। তবে যাদের সাথে তোমরা চুক্তি সম্পাদন করেছ মসজিদুল-হারামের নিকট। অতএব, যে পর্যন্ত তারা তোমাদের জন্যে সরল থাকে, তোমরাও তাদের জন্য সরল থাক। নিঃসন্দেহের আল্লাহ সাবধানীদের পছন্দ করেন।
How can there be a league, before Allah and His Messenger, with the Pagans, except those with whom ye made a treaty near the sacred Mosque? As long as these stand true to you, stand ye true to them: for Allah doth love the righteous. |

তুমি যখন তাদের কাছে ফিরে আসবে, তখন তারা তোমাদের নিকট ছল-ছুতা নিয়ে উপস্থিত হবে; তুমি বলো, ছল কারো না, আমি কখনো তোমাদের কথা শুনব না; আমাকে আল্লাহ তা’আলা তোমাদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে অবহিত করে দিয়েছেন। আর এখন তোমাদের কর্ম আল্লাহই দেখবেন এবং তাঁর রসূল। তারপর তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে সেই গোপন ও আগোপন বিষয়ে অবগত সত্তার নিকট। তিনিই তোমাদের বাতলে দেবেন যা তোমরা করছিলে।
They will present their excuses to you when ye return to them. Say thou: "Present no excuses: we shall not believe you: Allah hath already informed us of the true state of matters concerning you: It is your actions that Allah and His Messenger will observe: in the end will ye be brought back to Him Who knoweth what is hidden and what is open: then will He show you the truth of all that ye did." |

আসমান ও যমীনের চাবি তাঁরই নিকট। যারা আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করে, তারাই ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত।
To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth: and those who reject the Signs of Allah,- it is they who will be in loss. |
