নিশ্চয়ই আসমান ও যমীনের সৃষ্টিতে, রাত ও দিনের বিবর্তনে এবং নদীতে নৌকাসমূহের চলাচলে মানুষের জন্য কল্যাণ রয়েছে। আর আল্লাহ তা’ আলা আকাশ থেকে যে পানি নাযিল করেছেন, তদ্দ্বারা মৃত যমীনকে সজীব করে তুলেছেন এবং তাতে ছড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন সবরকম জীব-জন্তু। আর আবহাওয়া পরিবর্তনে এবং মেঘমালার যা তাঁরই হুকুমের অধীনে আসমান ও যমীনের মাঝে বিচরণ করে, নিশ্চয়ই সে সমস্ত বিষয়ের মাঝে নিদর্শন রয়েছে বুদ্ধিমান সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে।
Behold! in the creation of the heavens and the earth; in the alternation of the night and the day; in the sailing of the ships through the ocean for the profit of mankind; in the rain which Allah Sends down from the skies, and the life which He gives therewith to an earth that is dead; in the beasts of all kinds that He scatters through the earth; in the change of the winds, and the clouds which they Trail like their slaves between the sky and the earth;- (Here) indeed are Signs for a people that are wise. |

অতঃপর তালূত যখন সৈন্য-সামন্ত নিয়ে বেরুল, তখন বলল, নিশ্চয় আল্লাহ তোমাদিগকে পরীক্ষা করবেন একটি নদীর মাধ্যমে। সুতরাং যে লোক সেই নদীর পানি পান করবে সে আমার নয়। আর যে, লোক তার স্বাদ গ্রহণ করলো না, নিশ্চয়ই সে আমার লোক। কিন্তু যে লোক হাতের আঁজলা ভরে সামান্য খেয়ে নেবে তার দোষঅবশ্য তেমন গুরুতর হবে না। অতঃপর সবাই পান করল সে পানি, সামান্য কয়েকজন ছাড়া। পরে তালূত যখন তা পার হলো এবং তার সাথে ছিল মাত্র কয়েকজন ঈমানদার, তখন তারা বলতে লাগল, আজকের দিনে জালূত এবং তার সেনাবাহিনীর সাথে যুদ্ধ করার শক্তি আমাদের নেই, যাদের ধারণা ছিল যে, আল্লাহর সামনে তাদের একদিন উপস্থিত হতে হবে, তারা বার বার বলতে লাগল, সামান্য দলই বিরাট দলের মোকাবেলায় জয়ী হয়েছে আল্লাহর হুকুমে। আর যারা ধৈর্য্যশীল আল্লাহ তাদের সাথে রয়েছেন।
When Talut set forth with the armies, he said: "Allah will test you at the stream: if any drinks of its water, He goes not with my army: Only those who taste not of it go with me: A mere sip out of the hand is excused." but they all drank of it, except a few. When they crossed the river,- He and the faithful ones with him,- they said: "This day We cannot cope with Goliath and his forces." but those who were convinced that they must meet Allah, said: "How oft, by Allah's will, Hath a small force vanquished a big one? Allah is with those who steadfastly persevere." |

তারা কি দেখেনি যে, আমি তাদের পুর্বে কত সম্প্রদায়কে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি, যাদেরকে আমি পৃথিবীতে এমন প্রতিষ্ঠা দিয়েছিলাম, যা তোমাদেরকে দেইনি। আমি আকাশকে তাদের উপর অনবরত বৃষ্টি বর্ষণ করতে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের তলদেশে নদী সৃষ্টি করে দিয়েছি, অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে তাদের পাপের কারণে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি এবং তাদের পরে অন্য সম্প্রদায় সৃষ্টি করেছি।
See they not how many of those before them We did destroy?- generations We had established on the earth, in strength such as We have not given to you - for whom We poured out rain from the skies in abundance, and gave (fertile) streams flowing beneath their (feet): yet for their sins We destroyed them, and raised in their wake fresh generations (to succeed them). |

আর তাদের কাছে সে জনপদের অবস্থা সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস কর যা ছিল নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত। যখন শনিবার দিনের নির্দেশের ব্যাপারে সীমাতিক্রম করতে লাগল, যখন আসতে লাগল মাছগুলো তাদের কাছে শনিবার দিন পানির উপর, আর যেদিন শনিবার হত না, আসত না। এভাবে আমি তাদেরকে পরীক্ষা করেছি। কারণ, তারা ছিল নাফরমান।
Ask them concerning the town standing close by the sea. Behold! they transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. For on the day of their Sabbath their fish did come to them, openly holding up their heads, but on the day they had no Sabbath, they came not: thus did We make a trial of them, for they were given to transgression. |

আর বনী-ইসরাঈলকে আমি পার করে দিয়েছি নদী। তারপর তাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করেছে ফেরাউন ও তার সেনাবাহিনী, দুরাচার ও বাড়াবাড়ির উদ্দেশে। এমনকি যখন তারা ডুবতে আরম্ভ করল, তখন বলল, এবার বিশ্বাস করে নিচ্ছি যে, কোন মা’বুদ নেই তাঁকে ছাড়া যাঁর উপর ঈমান এনেছে বনী-ইসরাঈলরা। বস্তুতঃ আমিও তাঁরই অনুগতদের অন্তর্ভুক্ত।
We took the Children of Israel across the sea: Pharaoh and his hosts followed them in insolence and spite. At length, when overwhelmed with the flood, he said: "I believe that there is no god except Him Whom the Children of Israel believe in: I am of those who submit (to Allah in Islam)." |

আয়াতঃ ৯০) |

তিনিই ভুমন্ডলকে বিস্তৃত করেছেন এবং তাতে পাহাড় পর্বত ও নদ-নদী স্থাপন করেছেন এবং প্রত্যেক ফলের মধ্যে দু’দু প্রকার সৃষ্টি করে রেখেছেন। তিনি দিনকে রাত্রি দ্বারা আবৃত করেন। এতে তাদের জন্যে নিদর্শণ রয়েছে, যারা চিন্তা করে।
And it is He who spread out the earth, and set thereon mountains standing firm and (flowing) rivers: and fruit of every kind He made in pairs, two and two: He draweth the night as a veil o'er the Day. Behold, verily in these things there are signs for those who consider! |

তিনিই আল্লাহ, যিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভুমন্ডল সৃজন করেছেন এবং আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করে অতঃপর তা দ্বারা তোমাদের জন্যে ফলের রিযিক উৎপন্ন করেছেন এবং নৌকাকে তোমাদের আজ্ঞাবহ করেছেন, যাতে তাঁর আদেশে সমুদ্রে চলা ফেরা করে এবং নদ-নদীকে তোমাদের সেবায় নিয়োজিত করেছেন।
It is Allah Who hath created the heavens and the earth and sendeth down rain from the skies, and with it bringeth out fruits wherewith to feed you; it is He Who hath made the ships subject to you, that they may sail through the sea by His command; and the rivers (also) hath He made subject to you. |

এবং তিনি পৃথিবীর উপর বোঝা রেখেছেন যে, কখনো যেন তা তোমাদেরকে নিয়ে হেলে-দুলে না পড়ে এবং নদী ও পথ তৈরী করেছেন, যাতে তোমরা পথ প্রদর্শিত হও।
And He has set up on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads; that ye may guide yourselves; |

বল তো কে পৃথিবীকে বাসোপযোগী করেছেন এবং তার মাঝে মাঝে নদ-নদী প্রবাহিত করেছেন এবং তাকে স্থিত রাখার জন্যে পর্বত স্থাপন করেছেন এবং দুই সমুদ্রের মাঝখানে অন্তরায় রেখেছেন। অতএব, আল্লাহর সাথে অন্য কোন উপাস্য আছে কি? বরং তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
Or, Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst; set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two bodies of flowing water? (can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay, most of them know not. |

আয়াতঃ ৬১) |

কিন্তু যারা তাদের পালনকর্তাকে ভয় করে, তাদের জন্যে নির্মিত রয়েছে প্রাসাদের উপর প্রাসাদ। এগুলোর তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত। আল্লাহ প্রতিশ্রুতি দিয়েছেন। আল্লাহ প্রতিশ্রুতির খেলাফ করেন না।
But it is for those who fear their Lord. That lofty mansions, one above another, have been built: beneath them flow rivers (of delight): (such is) the Promise of Allah: never doth Allah fail in (His) promise. |

আয়াতঃ ২০) |

ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে ডেকে বলল, হে আমার কওম, আমি কি মিসরের অধিপতি নই? এই নদী গুলো আমার নিম্নদেশে প্রবাহিত হয়, তোমরা কি দেখ না?
And Pharaoh proclaimed among his people, saying: "O my people! Does not the dominion of Egypt belong to me, (witness) these streams flowing underneath my (palace)? What! see ye not then? |
(যুখরুফ:
আয়াতঃ ৫১) |
| 12 |
ঈমান এজন্যে বেড়ে যায়, যাতে তিনি ঈমানদার পুরুষ ও ঈমানদার নারীদেরকে জান্নাতে প্রবেশ করান, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত। সেথায় তারা চিরকাল বসবাস করবে এবং যাতে তিনি তাদের পাপ মোচন করেন। এটাই আল্লাহর কাছে মহাসাফল্য।
That He may admit the men and women who believe, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein for aye, and remove their ills from them;- and that is, in the sight of Allah, the highest achievement (for man),- |

| 13 |
অন্ধের জন্যে, খঞ্জের জন্যে ও রুগ্নের জন্যে কোন অপরাধ নাই এবং যে কেউ আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের অনুগত্য করবে তাকে তিনি জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত হয়। পক্ষান্তরে যে, ব্যক্তি পৃষ্ঠপ্রদর্শন করবে, তাকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তি দিবেন।
No blame is there on the blind, nor is there blame on the lame, nor on one ill (if he joins not the war): But he that obeys Allah and his Messenger,- (Allah) will admit him to Gardens beneath which rivers flow; and he who turns back, (Allah) will punish him with a grievous Penalty. |
(আল ফাতহ:
আয়াতঃ ১৭) |

যেদিন আপনি দেখবেন ঈমানদার পুরুষ ও ঈমানদার নারীদেরকে, তাদের সম্মুখ ভাগে ও ডানপার্শ্বে তাদের জ্যোতি ছুটোছুটি করবে বলা হবেঃ আজ তোমাদের জন্যে সুসংবাদ জান্নাতের, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত, তাতে তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। এটাই মহাসাফল্য।
One Day shalt thou see the believing men and the believing women- how their Light runs forward before them and by their right hands: (their greeting will be): "Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which flow rivers! to dwell therein for aye! This is indeed the highest Achievement!" |
(আল হাদীদ:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 15 |
যারা আল্লাহ ও পরকালে বিশ্বাস করে, তাদেরকে আপনি আল্লাহ ও তাঁর রসূলের বিরুদ্ধাচরণকারীদের সাথে বন্ধুত্ব করতে দেখবেন না, যদিও তারা তাদের পিতা, পুত্র, ভ্রাতা অথবা জ্ঞাতি-গোষ্ঠী হয়। তাদের অন্তরে আল্লাহ ঈমান লিখে দিয়েছেন এবং তাদেরকে শক্তিশালী করেছেন তাঁর অদৃশ্য শক্তি দ্বারা। তিনি তাদেরকে জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত। তারা তথায় চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহ তাদের প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট এবং তারা আল্লাহর প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট। তারাই আল্লাহর দল। জেনে রাখ, আল্লাহর দলই সফলকাম হবে।
Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity. |
(আল মুজাদালাহ:
আয়াতঃ ২২) |
| 16 |
তিনি তোমাদের পাপরাশি ক্ষমা করবেন এবং এমন জান্নাতে দাখিল করবেন, যার পাদদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত এবং বসবাসের জান্নাতে উত্তম বাসগৃহে। এটা মহাসাফল্য।
He will forgive you your sins, and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, and to beautiful mansions in Gardens of Eternity: that is indeed the Supreme Achievement. |
(আছ-ছফ:
আয়াতঃ ১২) |
| 17 |
একজন রসূল, যিনি তোমাদের কাছে আল্লাহর সুস্পষ্ট আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করেন, যাতে বিশ্বাসী ও সৎকর্মপরায়ণদের অন্ধকার থেকে আলোতে আনয়ন করেন। যে আল্লাহর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে ও সৎকর্ম সম্পাদন করে, তিনি তাকে দাখিল করবেন জান্নাতে, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত, তথায় তারা চিরকাল থাকবে। আল্লাহ তাকে উত্তম রিযিক দেবেন।
An Messenger, who rehearses to you the Signs of Allah containing clear explanations, that he may lead forth those who believe and do righteous deeds from the depths of Darkness into Light. And those who believe in Allah and work righteousness, He will admit to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein for ever: Allah has indeed granted for them a most excellent Provision. |

আয়াতঃ ১১) |
| 18 |
মুমিনগণ! তোমরা আল্লাহ তা’আলার কাছে তওবা কর-আন্তরিক তওবা। আশা করা যায়, তোমাদের পালনকর্তা তোমাদের মন্দ কর্মসমূহ মোচন করে দেবেন এবং তোমাদেরকে দাখিল করবেন জান্নাতে, যার তলদেশে নদী প্রবাহিত। সেদিন আল্লাহ নবী এবং তাঁর বিশ্বাসী সহচরদেরকে অপদস্থ করবেন না। তাদের নূর তাদের সামনে ও ডানদিকে ছুটোছুটি করবে। তারা বলবেঃ হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, আমাদের নূরকে পূর্ণ করে দিন এবং আমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করুন। নিশ্চয় আপনি সবকিছুর উপর সর্ব শক্তিমান।
O ye who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow,- the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. Their Light will run forward before them and by their right hands, while they say, "Our Lord! Perfect our Light for us, and grant us Forgiveness: for Thou hast power over all things." |
(আত-তাহরীম:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 19 |
তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ ও সন্তান-সন্ততি বাড়িয়ে দিবেন, তোমাদের জন্যে উদ্যান স্থাপন করবেন এবং তোমাদের জন্যে নদীনালা প্রবাহিত করবেন।
"'Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). |
(নূহ:
