তিনিই তোমাদের জন্য নক্ষত্রপুঞ্জ সৃজন করেছেন যাতে তোমরা স্থল ও জলের অন্ধকারে পথ প্রাপ্ত হও। নিশ্চয় যারা জ্ঞানী তাদের জন্যে আমি নির্দেশনাবলী বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা করে দিয়েছি।
It is He Who maketh the stars (as beacons) for you, that ye may guide yourselves, with their help, through the dark spaces of land and sea: We detail Our signs for people who know. |

নিশ্চয় তোমাদের প্রতিপালক আল্লাহ। তিনি নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলকে ছয় দিনে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতঃপর আরশের উপর অধিষ্টিত হয়েছেন। তিনি পরিয়ে দেন রাতের উপর দিনকে এমতাবস্থায় যে, দিন দৌড়ে রাতের পিছনে আসে। তিনি সৃষ্টি করেছেন সূর্য, চন্দ্র ও নক্ষত্র দৌড় স্বীয় আদেশের অনুগামী। শুনে রেখ, তাঁরই কাজ সৃষ্টি করা এবং আদেশ দান করা। আল্লাহ, বরকতময় যিনি বিশ্বজগতের প্রতিপালক।
Your Guardian-Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, and is firmly established on the throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds! |

যখন ইউসুফ পিতাকে বললঃ পিতা, আমি স্বপ্নে দেখেছি এগারটি নক্ষত্রকে। সুর্যকে এবং চন্দ্রকে। আমি তাদেরকে আমার উদ্দেশে সেজদা করতে দেখেছি।
Behold! Joseph said to his father: "O my father! I did see eleven stars and the sun and the moon: I saw them prostrate themselves to me!" |

আল্লাহ নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের জ্যোতি, তাঁর জ্যোতির উদাহরণ যেন একটি কুলঙ্গি, যাতে আছে একটি প্রদীপ, প্রদীপটি একটি কাঁচপাত্রে স্থাপিত, কাঁচপাত্রটি উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র সদৃশ্য। তাতে পুতঃপবিত্র যয়তুন বৃক্ষের তৈল প্রজ্বলিত হয়, যা পূর্বমুখী নয় এবং পশ্চিমমুখীও নয়। অগ্নি স্পর্শ না করলেও তার তৈল যেন আলোকিত হওয়ার নিকটবর্তী। জ্যোতির উপর জ্যোতি। আল্লাহ যাকে ইচ্ছা পথ দেখান তাঁর জ্যোতির দিকে। আল্লাহ মানুষের জন্যে দৃষ্টান্তসমূহ বর্ণনা করেন এবং আল্লাহ সব বিষয়ে জ্ঞাত।
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The Parable of His Light is as if there were a Niche and within it a Lamp: the Lamp enclosed in Glass: the glass as it were a brilliant star: Lit from a blessed Tree, an Olive, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil is well-nigh luminous, though fire scarce touched it: Light upon Light! Allah doth guide whom He will to His Light: Allah doth set forth Parables for men: and Allah doth know all things. |

নক্ষত্রের কসম, যখন অস্তমিত হয়।
By the Star when it goes down,- |
(আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 6 |
তিনি শিরা নক্ষত্রের মালিক।
That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); |
(আন-নাজম:
আয়াতঃ ৪৯) |
| 7 |
অতঃপর যখন নক্ষত্রসমুহ নির্বাপিত হবে,
Then when the stars become dim; |
(আল মুরসালাত:
আয়াতঃ ৮) |
| 8 |
যখন নক্ষত্র মলিন হয়ে যাবে,
When the stars fall, losing their lustre; |
(আত-তাকভীর:
আয়াতঃ ২) |
| 9 |
আমি শপথ করি যেসব নক্ষত্রগুলো পশ্চাতে সরে যায়।
So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, |
(আত-তাকভীর:
আয়াতঃ ১৫) |
| 10 |
যখন নক্ষত্রসমূহ ঝরে পড়বে,
When the Stars are scattered; |
(আল ইনফিতার:
আয়াতঃ ২) |
| 11 |
শপথ গ্রহ-নক্ষত্র শোভিত আকাশের,
By the sky, (displaying) the Zodiacal Signs; |
(আল বুরূজ:
আয়াতঃ ১) |
| 12 |
সেটা এক উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র।
(It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- |
