এমন কে আছে যে, আল্লাহকে করজ দেবে, উত্তম করজ; অতঃপর আল্লাহ তাকে দ্বিগুণ-বহুগুণ বৃদ্ধি করে দিবেন। আল্লাহই সংকোচিত করেন এবং তিনিই প্রশস্ততা দান করেন এবং তাঁরই নিকট তোমরা সবাই ফিরে যাবে।
Who is he that will loan to Allah a beautiful loan, which Allah will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is Allah that giveth (you) Want or plenty, and to Him shall be your return. |

যারা আল্লাহর রাস্তায় স্বীয় ধন-সম্পদ ব্যয় করে আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি অর্জনের লক্ষ্যে এবং নিজের মনকে সুদৃঢ় করার জন্যে তাদের উদাহরণ টিলায় অবস্থিত বাগানের মত, যাতে প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাত হয়; অতঃপর দ্বিগুণ ফসল দান করে। যদি এমন প্রবল বৃষ্টিপাত নাও হয়, তবে হাল্কা বর্ষণই যথেষ্ট। আল্লাহ তোমাদের কাজকর্ম যথার্থই প্রত্যক্ষ করেন।
And the likeness of those who spend their substance, seeking to please Allah and to strengthen their souls, is as a garden, high and fertile: heavy rain falls on it but makes it yield a double increase of harvest, and if it receives not Heavy rain, light moisture sufficeth it. Allah seeth well whatever ye do. |

যখন তোমাদের উপর একটি মুসীবত এসে পৌছাল, অথচ তোমরা তার পূর্বেই দ্বিগুণ কষ্টে পৌছে গিয়েছ, তখন কি তোমরা বলবে, এটা কোথা থেকে এল? তাহলে বলে দাও, এ কষ্ট তোমাদের উপর পৌছেছে তোমারই পক্ষ থেকে। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ প্রত্যেক বিষয়ের উপর ক্ষমতাশীল।
What! When a single disaster smites you, although ye smote (your enemies) with one twice as great, do ye say?- "Whence is this?" Say (to them): "It is from yourselves: For Allah hath power over all things." |

নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ কারো প্রাপ্য হক বিন্দু-বিসর্গও রাখেন না; আর যদি তা সৎকর্ম হয়, তবে তাকে দ্বিগুণ করে দেন এবং নিজের পক্ষ থেকে বিপুল সওয়াব দান করেন।
Allah is never unjust in the least degree: If there is any good (done), He doubleth it, and giveth from His own presence a great reward. |

আল্লাহ বলবেনঃ তোমাদের পূর্বে জিন ও মানবের যেসব সম্প্রদায় চলে গেছে, তাদের সাথে তোমরাও দোযখে যাও। যখন এক সম্প্রদায় প্রবেশ করবে; তখন অন্য সম্প্রদায়কে অভিসম্পাত করবে। এমনকি, যখন তাতে সবাই পতিত হবে, তখন পরবর্তীরা পূর্ববর্তীদের সম্পর্কে বলবেঃ হে আমাদের প্রতিপালক এরাই আমাদেরকে বিপথগামী করেছিল। অতএব, আপনি তাদেরকে দ্বিগুণ শাস্তি দিন। আল্লাহ বলবেন প্রত্যেকেরই দ্বিগুণ; তোমরা জান না।
He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all": but this ye do not understand. |

তারা পৃথিবীতেও আল্লাহকে অপারগ করতে পারবে না এবং আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তাদের কোন সাহায্যকারীও নেই, তাদের জন্য দ্বিগুণ শাস্তি রয়েছে; তারা শুনতে পারত না এবং দেখতেও পেত না।
They will in no wise frustrate (His design) on earth, nor have they protectors besides Allah! Their penalty will be doubled! They lost the power to hear, and they did not see! |

তখন আমি অবশ্যই আপনাকে ইহজীবনে ও পরজীবনে দ্বিগুণ শাস্তির আস্বাদন করাতাম। এ সময় আপনি আমার মোকাবিলায় কোন সাহায্যকারী পেতেন না।
In that case We should have made thee taste an equal portion (of punishment) in this life, and an equal portion in death: and moreover thou wouldst have found none to help thee against Us! |

মানুষের ধন-সম্পদে তোমাদের ধন-সম্পদ বৃদ্ধি পাবে, এই আশায় তোমরা সুদে যা কিছু দাও, আল্লাহর কাছে তা বৃদ্ধি পায় না। পক্ষান্তরে, আল্লাহর সন্তুষ্টি লাভের আশায় পবিত্র অন্তরে যারা দিয়ে থাকে, অতএব, তারাই দ্বিগুণ লাভ করে।
That which ye lay out for increase through the property of (other) people, will have no increase with Allah: but that which ye lay out for charity, seeking the Countenance of Allah, (will increase): it is these who will get a recompense multiplied. |

আয়াতঃ ৩৯) |

হে নবী পত্নীগণ! তোমাদের মধ্যে কেউ প্রকাশ্য অশ্লীল কাজ করলে তাকে দ্বিগুণ শাস্তি দেয়া হবে। এটা আল্লাহর জন্য সহজ।
O Consorts of the Prophet! If any of you were guilty of evident unseemly conduct, the Punishment would be doubled to her, and that is easy for Allah. |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ৩০) |

হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা! তাদেরকে দ্বিগুণ শাস্তি দিন এবং তাদেরকে মহা অভিসম্পাত করুন।
"Our Lord! Give them double Penalty and curse them with a very great Curse!" |
(আল আহযাব:
আয়াতঃ ৬৮) |

তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা, যে আমাদেরকে এর সম্মুখীন করেছে, আপনি জাহান্নামে তার শাস্তি দ্বিগুণ করে দিন।
They will say: "Our Lord! whoever brought this upon us,- Add to him a double Penalty in the Fire!" |
(ছোয়াদ:
আয়াতঃ ৬১) |

মুমিনগণ, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং তাঁর রসূলের প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর। তিনি নিজে অনুগ্রহের দ্বিগুণ অংশ তোমাদেরকে দিবেন, তোমাদেরকে দিবেন জ্যোতি, যার সাহায্যে তোমরা চলবে এবং তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করবেন। আল্লাহ ক্ষমাশীল, দয়াময়।
O ye that believe! Fear Allah, and believe in His Messenger, and He will bestow on you a double portion of His Mercy: He will provide for you a Light by which ye shall walk (straight in your path), and He will forgive you (your past): for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. |

যদি তোমরা আল্লাহকে উত্তম ঋণ দান কর, তিনি তোমাদের জন্যে তা দ্বিগুণ করে দেবেন এবং তোমাদেরকে ক্ষমা করবেন। আল্লাহ গুণগ্রাহী, সহনশীল।
If ye loan to Allah, a beautiful loan, He will double it to your (credit), and He will grant you Forgiveness: for Allah is most Ready to appreciate (service), Most Forbearing,- |
